So a while ago I had a sudden modding project idea hit me and I ended up taking it and gunning it through-
It's more of a silly mod compared to my more "serious" slugcat campaign mod projects, but keeping it fairly simple has given me more insight for my later mods, which I do appreciate.
The slugcat abilities are for the most part finished, aside from some buggy reactions that I may or may not try to figure out the /why/ of. Aside from working on art for the outro endings, menus, sleep screens, and ghost screens, it is "finished".
,,But, if anyone has any thoughts to adjust some of these abilities or even add more (mainly for Wigfrid, Wes, and Wickerbottom)...?
As of now the abilities of each slugcat is as follows:
Crafting-
Wilson- can craft spears(rock+rock), explosive spears(spear+cherrybomb), electric spears(spear+overseereye), neuronfly(pearl+overseereye), cherrybomb(pearl+flylure), scavbomb(pearl+cherrybomb), flashbang(pearl+mushroom), lantern(pearl+flashbang), sporepuff(pearl+lantern), singularitybomb(pearl+fireegg), overseereye via Gourmandcrafting
Willow- can craft explosive spears(spear+cherrybomb||fireegg), fireegg(rock+rock), karmaflower(fireegg+fireegg)
Wickerbottom- can craft electricspears(spear+overseereye||flarebomb), all Gourmandcrafting
Wigfrid- can craft firespears(spear+karmaflower), vulturemask(rock+karmaflower)
Wes- can craft bubblegrass(mushroom+mushroom), mushroom/slimemold/gooieduck/lillypuck/bees/puffball/lantern via Gourmandcrafting

Wilson- can struggle longer in predator grasps, backspear
Willow- lavaImmune, can cause water to become lethal(a bit buggy), explosive pyro parry
Wendy- can sedate an entire room of creatures(a bit buggy), regurgitates karmaflowers, mauling causes health bleedout
Wolfgang- changes stats depending on level of food, will lose food over time, slugslam/slide/roll
Wickerbottom- electric pyro jumps
Webber- immune to small spiders, can spawn a cloud of spiders, has overseer glow light in darkness, can grab creatures without stun, mauling causes health bleedout
Woodie- spawns in shelters with Lucy the FireSpear, at cycle halftime gains a large stat boost+becomes semi aquatic+starts to lose food over time+can grab creatures without stun, backspear
Wx78- items in stomach change stats/add abilities(needs notes of each item, mainly customPlayergravity at 0.25 from neuronfly and a miros bird spawner from pearl), makes rocks to pearls with swallowing, immune to mirosbirds(not vultures)
Wigfrid- can struggle longer in predator grasps, gains a large stat boost when playing with others/jollycoop
Wes- can grab leeches, very high jump
Maxwell- can spawn a “clone”(a bit buggy, extra directions needed), double spear hold, SaintStagger but lesser
I intend for these slugcats to be mostly played in jollycoop, hopefully with abilities that benefit each other (Willow and Wigfrid with the karmaflowers, Wx78 and Wilson with the pearls, for example), but since this is a silly mod idea I'm trying to not agonize over every little detail.
It's silly, and I am having fun coding it out and playing around with so many slugcats. Here's to finishing it up sooner rather than later - ideas are welcome!
