The LINUX REVIEW! Okay so I been using CachyOS on my desktop pc and Arch linux on my laptop (previously Linux Mint) for over a month now and I just wanted to post about my thoughts, from someone who has been exclusively on Windows my entire life and am not a programmer/dev (and now, no longer has anything that runs on Windows so you may see where this is going)

Laptop specs: AMD ryzen CPU i don't remember specifics, 8gb ram, 500gb storage (Truly just an average trash laptop whos already physically falling apart)

PC specs: 7600x CPU, 7800 XT GPU, 32gb ram, 2tb storage

List of things I've noticed or liked:

(Laptop) Fans no longer blaze on idle. Was really embarrassing bringing my laptop to school because of this and now no longer an issue. The fans only kick in when necessary

(Overall) Less ram usage. on idle, Windows 11 ate about half my ram on my laptop, its now about 1 gb on arch. Similarly, on my PC CachyOS is about 1.8 gb on idle.

(Overall) More customization compared to Windows. I've stuck with the cinnamon DE for all of them and at least on Cinnamon, customization is easy for the average person who doesnt wanna go mess w configs.

(Overall) I can update my computer and still use it like normal. If its a relatively deep update that needs to restart the restart time is as long as any other regular restart. I wont be tricked to being stuck on a blue loading screen for 10 minutes.

(Overall) I can run all games I like to play, even relatively newer ones like Monster Hunter Wilds. Which is now a few months old, but even Nightreign which is Brand New runs perfectly. People need to stop saying gaming is impossible on Linux. Yall are just addicted to Fortnite

(Overall) Pirating games is also easy and have had no performance issues with pirated games running via Lutris

(Overall) Better performance on Minecraft. Most games r kinda the same, but there are a select few like Minecraft who run better now

(Laptop) i can watch a FUCKING YOUTUBE VIDEO without my computer DYING

(PC) Everything just Works. CachyOS is really good. The reason this isn't an overall point is just that I'm more responsible for getting the packages my laptop needs, so obviously there wasn't a good out of box experience for a normal user on Arch. For being arch-based CachyOS is perfect and has no issues

(Overall) No Microsoft

(Overall) I can use pngs as icons for applications instead of needing to convert to ico

(Overall) And also, Converting something from one format into another is 10x simpler

Honestly such a trivial issue but the RGB on my keyboard under my capslock fucks up and gets stuck and I am in the select tiny minority where openRGB doesn't support my keyboard and akko drivers aren't available for Linux. im not sure i can say i "dont like" it because its such a non issue, its just a thing I wanted to acknowledge.

Memoria:

El Redmi 12 Note Pro+ presenta una memoria principal de 8 GB. Además, contiene un total de 256 GB de memoria secundaria. Para una mejor prespectiva, este teléfono móvil lo venden por un precio de 62,5€/GB RAM y 1,95€/GB Almacenamiento.

Batería:

Con un total de 5000 mAh de capacidad y 120 W de potencia de carga con cable, este móvil se consolida como uno de los mejores en este aspecto, incluyendo todas las gamas, ya que tiene una muy veloz potencia de carga y gran capacidad.

Cámara y pantalla:

De los mejores del mercado, el Redmi Note 12 Pro+ nos sorprende con la sorprendente cantidad de 200 MP de resolución en la cámara trasera y 16 MP en la delantera. Para más especificación, este móvil también presenta 60 FPs de grabación de vídeo, 119° de campo de visión y una resolución de vídeo de 4k. La pantalla es de 2400 x 1080.

Software:

En este apartado sí es posible que se puedan encontrar mejores móviles de precio similar, pero considerando las otras sorprendentes características que tiene tampoco nos podemos quejar. Actualmente la versión de software es Android S, pero la compañía asegura que se podrá actualizar en un futuro hasta el Android 14, la última versión de Android actualmente.

En conclusión, el Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ es un muy buen móvil considerando todas las características que he analizado previamente, y en relación con el precio, sin ser tan caro como un nuevo iPhone pero tampoco como uno más simple de gama media.

A partir da análise crítica dos documentos técnicos:

Intel's Optane Memory: Revolutionising Data Storage with 3D XPoint Technology;

Performance Analysis of 3D XPoint SSDs in Virtualized and Non-Virtualized Environments (Zhang et al., 2018)

constatamos que o Optane falhou não por limitações físicas absolutas, mas por:

Má integração entre hardware e software;

Baixo desempenho térmico sob uso intensivo;

Arquitetura híbrida sem romper a hierarquia RAM–SSD;

Design de produto desalinhado com as necessidades emergentes de edge computing e AI persistente.

📍 2. Formulação do Problema-Mestre

Foi proposto um Problema Científico e de Engenharia de Alto Nível com o seguinte objetivo:

Determinar a geometria física, térmica e lógica ideal de um bloco cúbico hexagonal persistente, com capacidade de substituir HDDs e SSDs em sistemas como o Cyberdata NAS, respeitando limites de volume, consumo e latência, e permitindo escalabilidade modular.

ROG Xbox Ally vs. ROG Xbox Ally X: Comparando os dois consoles ASUS

Ao revelar dois consoles portáteis no mais recente Xbox Games Showcase, a ASUS e a Xbox buscam conquistar o mercado de laptops Windows com uma oferta que atende a uma variedade de jogadores. Embora o ROG Xbox Ally e o ROG Xbox Ally X sejam muito semelhantes em aparência, existem algumas diferenças significativas entre os dois modelos. Aqui está uma análise completa.

Assim como na primeira versão do ASUS ROG Ally, a principal diferença entre as duas máquinas é o processador. Enquanto o Xbox Ally e o Xbox Ally X contam com os novos SoCs Z2 da AMD, o ROG Xbox Ally é equipado com a versão Z2A, enquanto o ROG Xbox Ally X contará com o mais potente Z2 Extreme.

As duas máquinas já oferecem processadores bem diferentes. O Z2 Extreme apresenta uma arquitetura híbrida de última geração com 8 núcleos e 16 threads (3 núcleos Zen 5 + 5 núcleos Zen 5c) de até 5,0 GHz, suportada por uma GPU Radeon 890M com 16 unidades RDNA 3.5. O Ryzen Z2 A, por outro lado, é baseado em uma arquitetura Zen 2 mais antiga, com apenas 4 núcleos e 8 threads, além de uma GPU RDNA 2 com 8 unidades, apresentando desempenho claramente inferior.

A outra grande diferença entre os dois consoles está em termos de RAM e armazenamento. O ROG Xbox Ally tem 16 GB de RAM e 512 GB de armazenamento SSD, enquanto o ROG Xbox Ally X tem 24 GB de RAM e 1 TB de armazenamento. Essas diferenças são bastante significativas, e não param por aí, já que encontramos uma bateria de 60 Wh no ROG Xbox Ally e 80 Wh na versão X, o que obviamente influencia o peso das máquinas: 670 g para o Ally e 715 g para o ROG Xbox Ally X.

O ponto em comum entre os dois consoles é a tela, com uma tela IPS de 7 polegadas, resolução 1080p e 120 Hz, compatível com VRR e brilho máximo de 500 nits. A jogabilidade também deve ser semelhante entre as duas máquinas, já que possuem o mesmo chassi e layout de botões.

Mas tenha cuidado, pois o ROG Xbox Ally X possui gatilhos de pulso, ausentes no ROG Xbox Ally. Este último também oferece menos opções de conectividade, perdendo a porta USB4 Tipo-C compatível com DisplayPort 2.1 e Thunderbolt 4.

Dois consoles para dois públicos diferentes

Considerando as especialidades dos consoles ROG Xbox Ally, não há dúvida de que a Microsoft e a ASUS estão mirando em públicos diferentes para cada console. Assim, o ROG Xbox Ally promete ser um excelente ponto de entrada para jogos portáteis em PC, com uma máquina compacta capaz de rodar uma grande parte dos jogos do mercado, desde que você não busque fidelidade gráfica e desempenho excessivamente altos.

O console também permitirá desfrutar do Xbox Cloud Gaming em boas condições graças à sua compatibilidade com Wi-Fi 6E, sendo mais uma máquina secundária que permite jogar ocasionalmente em configuração portátil e, em particular, desfrutar dos jogos menos exigentes no PC Game Pass.

Por sua vez, o Xbox ROG Ally X é mais uma máquina principal, com desempenho superior, o que deve permitir que você aproveite todos os jogos do mercado em condições satisfatórias. No entanto, tenha cuidado, pois atualmente não há máquinas equipadas com o processador Z2 Extreme, então ainda é difícil estimar o ganho de desempenho do console em comparação com o ROG Ally X lançado no ano passado.

As estimativas iniciais sugerem um ganho em torno de 20%, o que poderia permitir uma taxa de quadros suficientemente estável nos jogos mais exigentes e torná-lo um console híbrido poderoso o suficiente para satisfazer as necessidades de jogadores com maiores exigências.

con dos gigas de ram y un giga de partición swap instaló ventoy en SSD interno copió antix-22 x64 base en partición primera formateada como exFAT y obtengo persistencia en la partición 3 de 5 GB formateada con ext4 por lo que mejor crear una partición extra para utilidades además de otra para la swap pues queda inhabil para abrir la tercera partición

Al tener en mi disco duro interno instalado ventoy para funcionar con múltiples distribuciones Linux ,Windows pe live , androids, etc ,he hallado una forma para arrancar antix Linux con persistencia desde la tarjeta SD y que tiene mi ordenador portátil en la ranura interna arrancando con ventoy la iso de plokexec para que me reconozca la tarjeta SD en el lector interno.

Las distribuciones Linux que sí arrancó con persistencia con ventoy en el disco duro interno son lubuntu 21 y archcraft con persistencia.

boot con el usb instalado con usb installer:, eligiendo f2 idioma,f3pais ,f4 from=usb ,f5 persist-static despues de boot :1- create custom 2.-no gigas de persisten 3.- intro 4.-eleccion password

en posteriores boot poner con f4: from usb  y f5: persisten static

Persistencia antix cuando no hay menú de persistencia en la pantalla inicial como sucede con antix 17 y 19

0-hago un usb installer de Antix en lector interno de sd

1creo un root persist de 1g para root y 1 giga para home,arrancado el antix del lector interno con plokexec

2-al arrancar de nuevo pongo editando persist=static en la linea append, intro en linea boot kernel

3- me pedira establecer passwords la 1 vez

4- al arrancar de nuevo pongo persist=static como en apartado 2

Buscalo con mínimo 8 GB de ram para que este cerebro del que te hablo, pueda tener un rendimiento óptimo y acompañalo con un disco duro sólido que prácticamente será la capacidad que tenga el computador para guardar lo que necesites.
