Okay, here goes nothing. Some spoilers ahead.

Today will be my first time rewatching "Rise of the titans".

Context of the first time I watched this movie: I binged Trollhunters and 3Bellow in a month while preparing a final exam, and Wizards was my reward the same day I took it. They were literally my emotional support during that awful month, and I'll always be thankful for them. Even 3B, although I didn't enjoy it as much as the others and seemed endless, it served to keep me company and distract me a little from the stress. So, when the movie was confirmed, I was super excited. I talked a lot with two of my friends who watched the series, and arranged with one of them to watch the movie together the night it came out with a Netflix party. It didn't end well.

As I said, Trollhunters was a very important emotional support. Not just because of that month, but because everytime I felt down, I watched my favorites episodes, the one that made me laugh, and the one that made me cry, "Hero with a thousand faces" and "Jimhunters". So what did I do when the movie ended?

I cried from the anger. I cried because they erased everything I loved, like all the things that helped me feel better were absolutely nothing. I cried because I had lost something that made me feel good, complete, and had been left with a hole in my chest. Yeah, I could still watch the series whenever I wanted, but then I'll remember "oh yeah, this is pointless, Jim's not the Trollhunter and will never be, and all of this will never happen" aaaaand I would cry again. It's like, why did I even watch Jim overcome his fears, his insecurities, form bonds, grow up, if none of this will ever happen? Just to have the knowledge that Jim remembers everything and will suffer from it? Yeah no, fuck you.

I know it sounds dramatic, but I've always felt strong emotions towards the things I formed a strong emotional bond with. I remember sending my friend voice messages crying my heart out and then falling asleep completely drained.

So, yeah, I don't feel a lot of good things about this movie. The wery few things I enjoyed from the movie (again, I'm talking about the first time I watched, we'll see if it changes) are:

The animation.

The only thing I can't argue with is that the animation is fucking amazing. The backgrounds, the fights, the magic. It looks fucking great.

Eli's design and Aja in queen mode

Ignoring everything that comes with it (the reunion with Steve, the stupid pregnancy thing) I'm a simp for them, they can step on me whenever they want. My feelings towards Aja may or may not change today though lol

The Jlaire moments

Not much to say here, I cried with everyone one of them and I love their relationship so much.

Aaaaand that's it. I don't remember any more good things. I wish I could listen to the voice messages I sent my friend but there's no sign of them.

I'm a wavy-curly hair Riz believer forever. (Probably mostly from Pok but also I think Sklonda straightens her hair. Miscellaneous hair headcanons.) I think he's never taken care of it a day in his life so it's really matted and looks wavy at BEST. I think it takes Fabian really long to even REALISE this but when he does he grabs him like The Ball. What the fuck are you doing. Let me fix it The Ball let me FIX it. And then he buys him product that he won't use (unless they're like sleeping over and Fabian will do it for him) and Fabian cringes every time it comes up that Riz doesn't take care of his hair. Tragic. Please wear a bonnet The Ball,,,,or get a better pillowcase. Please The Ball. Please.

Riz is sometimes mildly annoyed but always allows it. Also someone else washing/combing/etc your hair feels really nice and intimate so maybe he needs that. Even if he goes really really uncharacteristically quiet and sits really still and tries not to be weird Abt it. Lol.

I'm so serious I think he inhales SO sharply and mentally goes "oh." and he's so tense but he's also never relaxed into anything this much before. And it's like, wow, you can't super tell your best friend "hey man I have never felt this loved by anyone but my mother in my life. Sometimes I'm not sure if you guys value me or if I have to earn it but you're making me feel REALLY cared about right now. I'm gonna cry and throw up now thanks bro I love you." without making it weird. So he just has to sit there. Silently.

Anyway speaking of Fabian and hair I love you fantasy high artists who refuse to accept straight hair Fabian as canon throwing myself at your feet and everything. Personally I think he's mostly in the 3b-3c range because every mixed character has to be just like me fr. Also I love when ppl draw his hair braided for junior year eugjendld

A majority of the fic focuses on Jiang Cheng stalking WWX after they accidentally reunite because Lan Sizhui & Jin Ling start dating? A few pivotal scenes I can remember include jc taking Jin Ling and friends to a concert (which upsets LSZ's parents because he's been stalking wwx) and JC cornering WWX in a car and trying to kiss him. For the life of me, I can't find it anywhere.

A) in one, there’s something wrong with wwx’s core and wen qing has to build a framework for a new one, and everyone (lan wangji, lan xichen, jiang fengmian, madam yu, jiang yanli, jiang cheng, etc.) take turns giving him spiritual energy for the new core while wwx lies unconscious on i think an operating room table. i think it’s a modern au.

A. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji along with juniors are kind of on a road trip...I don't remember if it was a case fic or not, but I think they encounter Madam Yu's ghost and she scolds Wei Wuxian until she finds out he gave his core to Jiang Cheng and then gives Wei Wuxian a new core. Completed fic.

B. Post Sunshot Campaign Wei Wuxian is prisoned in Qinghe Nie and Nie Huisang is trying to bring Wei Wuxian back to his cheerful self by braiding his hair and bringing him books but he is being threatened by Jin Guangyao to not talk. Jin Guangyao is also intercepting all letters. Jiang Yanli is alive. Incomplete last I read it.

If Cora was Stiles' age, wouldn't she have been in his grade before the fire? He knew of Derek and the Hale family but it just seems like Cora was written in last minute.

on this episode of heather versus the teen wolf timeline: cora hale.

here is what the timeline establishes:

all of season 1-3B takes place in 2011.

the hale fire was six years prior to the start of wolf moon. stiles is speaking hyperbolically when he says it was 10 years ago. we know it was six from what derek tells scott in magic bullet.

derek: six years ago, my sister and I were at school, and our house caught fire.

it's established that cora was 11 at the time of the hale fire in 2005. this comes from frayed during her and peter's conversation.

cora:  you've known me for seventeen years! peter: i knew you for eleven, leaving the last six unaccounted for. and i'm not particularly fond of things unaccounted.

she's 17 in visionary.

visionary takes place during the fall 2011 semester of the main pack's junior year.

in comparison to the others:

allison turned 17 in the tell which takes place at the end of january 2011. allison says she was held back due to all the moving around. she's the oldest in their cohort.

lydia turned 17 on march 19th in party guessed during season 2 on the worm moon. we know it was her 17th birthday due to the conversation lydia and natalie have about lorraine's ashes in time of death in season 4 which takes place during the spring semester 2012 of lydia's junior year.

natalie: because she wanted you to do it... when you turned eighteen. don't ask me why. but, since there's only a few weeks 'til that, i suppose now is as good a time as any.

stiles would've turned 17 in april according to his official birthday of april 8th.

scott didn't turn 17 until september as is official birthday is september 16th.

malia turned 17 on november 28th making her the youngest of their cohort.

other odds and ends:

theo was in the fourth grade with stiles and scott making him their age. his birthdate is incorrectly listed as 1998.

jackson was born june 5th so he turned 17 between seasons 2 and 3A.

malia was 9 years old at the time of the car accident that killed her mother and sister which puts it in 2003. 2 years before the hale fire.

now while we can acknowledge the real reasons why cora's timeline is so shaky is because they winged a lot of it but what's the fun in that? here on buckybarness dot tumblr dot com we do teen wolf academia.

now one does wonder how scott, stiles, lydia and isaac didn't know cora but there could be viable reasons for that.

i discovered that the law changed in california in 2000 to raise the kindergarten enrollment age to 5 years old by september 1st. prior to this if a child turned 5 on or before december 2nd they could enroll.

they all would've started kindergarten in 1999.

this might be why scott and malia are in the same school year as lydia and stiles rather than being in the year behind.

if they'd had the foresight they should've had allison turn 18 in season 1 and have her a legitimate full year older than the rest because like she's only 3 months older than lydia so it seems a bit odd she's so embarrassed by turning 17 when she has a birthday so close to lydia and stiles. for someone turning 18 and being a sophomore due to being held back? that'd be embarrassing to someone in the american school system.

now cora could've been born in late 1993 to early-mid 1994. she could've been a grade ahead if she was closer in age to allison than to scott. i do strongly suspect that talia and corrine had overlapping pregnancies and being pregnant at the time is one of the reasons talia coerced corrine into keeping her pregnancy with malia.

the tates could've had malia start school later than the rest because she would've been 4 at the start of the year rather than 5 even if the law at the time allowed it. she just joined the rest as juniors when she returned to society because it made sense to keep her with the friends she'd made and she was 17.

if cora was in the grade above she could've been in middle school while the others were still in elementary school or maybe both malia and cora attended different schools due to zoning.

maybe they were homeschooled.

Okay, so I've been thinking about this for a while, so here are my death predictions for Season 3B of Chucky

Caroline ~ As much as I hate to say It, she's at the top of my list because they'd want to fuck with Lexy some more

James ~ It seems like I'm already right just by the new episode, but that one's a given because Devon Sawa gets a new character every single season and then he dies every single season JUST so he can get a new character

Grant ~ I HATE TO SAY IT EVEN THOUGH I LOVE HIM. I'm just being completely honest on this one because they LOVE to torture the Core Three and If they can kill Junior after being In one season, then they can kill him

And....as much as It hurts me to say It....I think they might kill one of the Core Three In the finale, so here are my thoughts on the possibilities of each of their deaths

Jake ~ I really don't think It'll be him because he's like the MAIN main character. The show started with him and I really think It'll end with him and he'll either go onto the next season (If there Is one) and then maybe even go Into the new movie that was announced. I'd be very surprised and very devastated If Jake died because he's my favorite out of the Core Three, but I think his death, especially THIS early In the show (three seasons In), would be unlikely

Devon ~ Okay, I think he's definitely a canidate for the chopping block. I love the Core Three, but I feel like they'd kill Devon just to fuck with Jake (And Lexy too of course, but especially Jake). They'd probably do this just for shock value because killing any of the Core Three seems really pointless right now, but Devon Is just a guess

Lexy ~ And finally, out of all of the Core Three and If It's not Devon or Caroline, then I think It's gonna be Lexy. Her death would honestly be the most probable one In my opinion as much as I really love her now and love her growth over the past couple of seasons. And honestly? I feel like Chucky won't be the one to kill her If she DOES die. I honestly really feel like Caroline will kill her. YEAH, I SAID IT. Lexy will probably try to reason with Caroline and It'll look like she'll try to go over to her and hug her AND THEN Caroline will stab her In the back or In the stomach

The Early days

Nana Komatsu was scouted in the Harajuku area in Tokyo when she was 12 years old and soon entered the 3B Junior pool of models and idols, which was then a division of Stardust Promotion, her current agency.

Her first pics as a model were published by Nico-petit ニコプチ in 2008.

Those were the times when the young aspiring model and future actress was taking the train from her home in the Yamanashi Prefecture to Tokyo, in the company of her mother for the first contracts and subsequent trips. Pretty soon she travelled on her own as her parents wanted her to be independent.

In those days Nana Komatsu did not even think she would become an actress one day, she just wanted to continue as a model and considered becoming a hairstylist. Yet, she appeared in a short film or sort of called Shabondama in 2010 (Shabondama Short Film) and in a couple of music videos as well.Many of the pics you will find below were once available from her old blog on Ameba, now they can be found in countless blogs, scattered all over the Internet (sources are mentioned, when available) : most of them are small, low res pics.

A real change of pace... To cool off... Here's a hyperfixation of mine that dates waaaaay back, to when I was little...

THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE & FRIENDS...

I've been thinking about the show's third season (1991-92) lately, for some reason.

Season 3, as I had learned in the recent years, was filmed in two separate portions - unusual in that every season in the classic series (approximately Seasons 1-7, 1984-2003ish) was typically filmed in one go. Not Season 3, for whatever reason.

It's been speculated by some fans that a showcase of the many props in London sometime in late 1991 impacted the filming, thus newer sets were built to accommodate the last portion of episodes. Maybe something else came up. Maybe something pertaining to the Japanese special THOMAS AND THE U.K. TRIP. Who knows...

And upon knowing the season's production history, you can't unsee it...

The first portion of Season 3, first released all at once on VHS - albeit with alternate, earlier narrations from Michael Angelis - in the UK in November 1991:

I kind of look at Season 3 as the coziest one. If Season 1 had a more pastoral, simplistic look with a chuffy synthesized soundtrack, and if Season 2 had a more dirty, sooty, industrial look... Season 3 is bright, colorful, cute, just warm and cozy really. Especially the nighttime scenes, which are real standouts here. Glossy models and softer faces constructed for the engine characters, too.

The music, composed by Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell, is what holds the season together - tonally, along with Angelis' narrations - or George Carlin's, if you grew up with the U.S. version like I did.

Sets in Season 3, Part 1 included the likes of Henry's Forest in addition to a lot of countryside paths, and a much more spacious beach. Knapford is the big station here, while Tidmouth is the big station in Part 2. The roundhouse interior is a real giveaway, too. Season 3, Part 2 seems a little greener, you have the the three-way set (bottom left), those big harbor buildings (top right), and the castle tunnel. Whatever the story called for, they built it: A scrapyard that Oliver escapes from, the China Clay Works, Bulgy's bridge, etc. Even without their major sets, they still made up for it with the new ones.

It's still quite cohesive and distinctively season 3, but someone like me? I notice the minute differences. You can easily tell which episode is 3A, or 3B.

Season 3 is one that I didn't have much of on VHS growing up in the late '90s/early '00s. I had seen pretty much all of them via tape volumes I rented back in the day, or through SHINING TIME STATION when it returned to air in 2000 to promote the movie. SHINING TIME, the show that essentially trojanhorsed THOMAS onto American airwaves. The VHS tapes... Particularly the volumes "Thomas Gets Bumped", "Daisy", and "Percy's Ghostly Trick". All grab-bags of episodes from the first three seasons - but they had those Season 3 episodes I often couldn't come by. They were elusive in a way because of that. Everything else I saw was via a compilation tape, like "Thomas' Christmas Party" and "10 Years of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends".

And years later, I would be surprised to learn that an episode like 'Henry's Forest' was from that period - it feels like it could be a stealth Season 2 episode, albeit a calmer and less industrial-looking one. Maybe because it was on the aforementioned Christmas tape, my brain - as a 7-year-old kid - placed it in that era. Ditto 'A Scarf for Percy'. When I got a little bit older, I was able to place - sort of aesthetically - where each episode fell. A skim through IMDb would also help. Most I could reckon were from the '80s, and the rest from the early-to-mid '90s. Even with George Carlin narrating the majority of them.

Something about those episodes hit different to me when I was little, for sure, so I have a bit of an odd soft spot for them despite how I feel about that season overall. I think SHINING TIME's aesthetics and look also helps. I watched STS whenever it was on, as a really young kid circa 1995-96ish? I would remember asking "Why do the trains have faces? But no cowcatchers?" Then it was just the Thomas stories on VHS after that. I wouldn't really check out STS again until reruns came to Nick Jr., again, to promote THOMAS AND THE MAGIC RAILROAD - which Shining Time Station itself was a big part of. And yet my head links that season and STS, more so than 1 & 2. The coziness of both, the nostalgic American train station setting of STS and the comfy visuals of Season 3, just goes together quite nicely. Throw in some unrelated other things I loved back then, and that's one of my nostalgia cocktails in a way lol.

I also made some little character bios for the main cast and supporting OCs. The ages listed are accurate to the beginning of the story which is also the start of the school year.

Chinen Miya is 15, Class 1A: an excellent student, competes as a member of the National Skateboarding team, went to a private middle school and has no close friends.

Kyan Koyomi is 15, Class 1B: a good student, member of the Drama club, loves fashion and hanging out with her friends.

Kyan Reki is 16, Class 2C: an OK student but he's failing English. He's more popular with his classmates than he thinks but doesn't have any close friends. No clubs and he doesn't skateboard anymore.

Higa Hiromi is 17, Class 2B: An OK student but he is repeating year two due to fighting and truancy. Soccer club and unofficial member of the gardening club.

Sakurayashiki Kaoru is 17, Class 3A: former top student, former captain of the Kendo club. Current treasurer of the student council. Not currently in any school clubs but attending a programming and robotics course.

Hasegawa Langa is 17, Class 3A: pretty good student and star player on the soccer team. Visits Canada at least once a year, his dad travels a lot.

Shindo Ainosuke is 17, Class 3A: top student, President of the Student Council and the Drama Club. His family is notoriously wealthy and influential.

Nanjo Kojiro is 17, Class 3B: good student, popular and flirty ace of the Baseball team. He and Kaoru are childhood friends, but they aren't in the same class this year.

Kikuchi Tadashi is 18: first year college student, former secretary of the Student Council. Lives and works at the Shindo estate.

Oka Shokichi is 20: newly promoted manager at Dope Sketch.

Kamata Kiriko is 25: Homeroom teacher for class 2C. She coaches baseball and is very sick of high schoolers flirting with her.

Sonozaki Yosuke is 16, Reki’s childhood best friend (yes I gave him the same name in ‘there is no if’). He introduced Reki to skateboarding and they were inseparable as children. He was injured skating in their final year of middle school and Reki has not been in touch since he moved to the mainland before high school.

Kobayashi Rie is 15, Class 1A: an excellent student, junior member of the student council. She has been best friends with Koyomi since they were babies because their moms are good friends.

Fujiwara Kiyu is 15, Class 2C: a good student and junior member of the baseball team. He likes video games, singing and is learning to play guitar. One of the youngest in his class and a relative of Chinen Miya.

Uehara Takashi is 16, Class 2C: top student, member of the literary club and plays piano. He is serious and sincere. He and his twin have been chosen as class representatives, ignoring the one boy, one girl rule, since they were ten years old.

Uehara Ritsu is 16, Class 2C: an ok student and junior member of the baseball team. He dreams of forming a band with Tadashi and Kiyu but he hasn't found an instrument he's any good at.

Please describe Simulation to the world (most of my BR daydreamimg has been this concept)

Of course!

So, the title makes this one a little obvious, but it's a 'the program was all a simulation' fic. I thought of it because I wanted a fix-it fic, because despite how loosely I sometimes play with canon, I do like to have a plausible way my fics could happen in universe.

It focuses on program scientists deciding if 3B should be allowed to participate in the program.

I kinda took a break from working on it because I started worrying that my scientist characters weren't very good, which I realize is dumb. Like, it's not really about them. But for some reason I got really self-conscious that they seemed too American and had to pause.

I'd like to come back to in this summer, though.

Here's the summary I'll probably use for the fic (maybe some alterations- I need to make sure my numbers are correct, hints them being in bold lol): Every year, 1500 classes get chosen to participate in the program. Despite that number, the number of complex issues that arise regarding them is practically none. That is because every year there are also 1500 simulations- 1500 simulations to ensure the safety and continuation of the program. Simulations rarely bring up concerns, but Class 3-B of Shirowa Junior High is one. One that might be too dangerous to be allowed to continue.

And because it's the only BR ask I've gotten, have a snippet:

It’s getting late by the time the scientists have ceased arguing and commenced sitting in bitter silence. They no longer notice the background noise from the machines, mixed with the breathing and unconscious movements of government soldiers and employees, 42 school children, and one schoolteacher.

This is the simulation of Class 3-B of Shirowa Junior High.

There’s no reason for it to be running any longer, not really. Only two students are still alive, and at this point, the things happening to them are no more than a shared fever dream. Simulations only work when the brains of those involved can be monitored, but in this case, there are only two active brains left. Anyone that Boy #15 Nanahara Shuya and girl #15 Nakagawa Noriko are interacting with have been created by a shared consciousness. They aren’t real; they don’t exist.
