I think we could all stand to unpack our feelings about societal standards of Intelligence and why it's important to us that someone else is less intelligent & capable
#i'm tireddddd#i know many of these ai posts are made jokingly but#it makes me tired how quick people are to make fun of others for needing help with communication#as though it's completely absurd that some people might need help writing an email or putting together a shopping list#missing the more pointed and relevant critique of ai writing which is that it is mainly a mediocre tool for companies to save on costs#at the expense of both their employees and the general public#that the advertising industry has become so bloated and inescapable that there's a robot made to write bad ad copy#and useful articles are buried under ads disguised as articles#and that most writers were not making a living off their writing before and were doing it out of enjoyment#meaning ai writing is missing the point and is mainly useful to grifters#all in all i do not care some students are cheating. that has been going on since the beginning of time#i care that employers are exploiting people

what really fries me about people who use chatgpt on their homework in my classes is they get the wrong answer and then they text me and i tell them how to do it and they’re like “😱😱 how did you know how to do that ??” well maybe if you opened the slides instead of rushing to jerk off ai you would’ve realized that the professors tell you how to do what they want you to do 😭😭 you dumb fucks FKDKDNJSND LIKE ??
#there are times and places to use ai don’t get me wrong. it is a useful tool in many fields i’m not denying that T_T#a lot of people are so anti ai in GENERAL that it swings too far to the other side and they forget that there’s a lot of medical advances#and research breakthroughs that can be made w ai#but that said your undergrad degree is just Not the time and place LFNDJJDD although i will say i saw someone respond to a post crashing out#about how premed students use ai or whatever and they were like why are we acting like they didn’t cheat before I FEAR IT FRIED ME#this is just the latest advancement i fear there has never been integrity in academia </3#BUT REGARDLESS sorry it just kinda cracks me up in particular when people are using chatgpt for ACCOUNTING#like how stupid can you be LMFAO intro to accounting is genuinely only the basic four operations#okay idk the tags on this are all over the place whatever please don’t cancel me for my opinions 😭🙏🏻#m’s thoughts
