All right, I am finally starting this blog

this is an experimental art project. Basically, you send asks, it replaces the data of an image. That's the main part you need to know. Custom formatting will not work, and emojis and stuff might break things. We'll find out I guess.

A few housekeeping things: - it won't be obvious at first the changes that are being made. Even for a small image, there's a couple hundred thousand "letters" worth of data. Send in some copypastas or something - I could automate this with a script, but A), where's the fun in that and B) all computers hate me and will try to self-destruct on sight. So instead I'll be posting whenever I have the time. - this blog is a solo project run by @sushi1056. I will only be able to work on this project on my laptop due to technical constraints. Then things have really changed out there.

My better guess is a reminder that the HP fandom is very very very factionalized. You have your different camps (and even camps within camps) that have very strong opinions about certain things. Usually, what happens is my metas will line up with one of the things for one camp... but none of the other things.

For example, the Snape crowd loves that I denote the Marauders were bullies, great stuff, they're not so hot on that I think Snape was... flawed and the fact that I don't think Lily Evans is Satan Incarnate or "I like her because I think she's a horrid person and should be hit by a train" is even less hot.

The strong criticism of Harry is something I have seen very very very few people into.

But there are also metas that, depending on the faction you're in, probably would gain a lot of traction (I am far from the first to discuss "manipulative Dumbledore", will not be the last, and half the fandom agrees with me on that one. It's not a spicy take).

The "heresy" bit is also that a lot of the stuff I talk about is things I just haven't seen elsewhere (maybe they are and I just haven't looked deep enough, but to my knowledge isn't common). This is stuff like "did Tom really murder the Riddles?" never seen it questioned, much less "did Tom really murder Hezpibah Smith?". It's just taken as a given by pretty much everything I've ever seen.

Even the whole "Voldemort was a nihilist attempt to destroy society" is something I really hadn't seen before I jotted it down (could be someone said it, dunno, but definitely not pervasive as far as I could tell).

So, that's where the 'heresy' bit comes in.

That said, frequent comment @therealvinelle and I will get is "I love your Twilight meta, agree with every word you say, I think your HP meta is DEAD WRONG" (which is totally fair, that's what the blog's about and it's not made for anyone to agree with, just to answer questions people ask). What if I made a poll blog for the thing that actually has the power to "fix" (transform through the power of the Holy Spirit and a relationship with Christ) anyone, for people to vote on their favorite fictional characters?

...The only problem being that of course Christianity would fix them. Christ has overcome the world, there's not really even aa question there. So the question then becomes "How would Christianity fix them?" aka what kind of person would they become in their walk with Christ?
