This looks better than I expected it to! Woo! The void wolf is slowly becoming an almost character.

They just want to be petted... and maybe also eat a god or two, but that can wait until after the pets!

Some stuff I've been doodling my laptop's out of commission...

Finally came up with a decent base design for land mammal formorians! I’m still tweaking the design a bit but this is the basic idea.

Two of my Beyblade OCs with their other two teammates to follow shortly. These two are from one of the two teams that get to interact with the Bladebreakers (and other canon characters) neither of which gets to be on the good guys’s side in their respective stories, but ya know that’s how the cookie crumbles... and they make for pretty great villains in my humble opinion. Most of my other OCs exist sorta kinda in their own verse.

Blair Verity Age: 16 She’s the captain of the team. Always angry. Always. Everyone who knows her is fairly certain she was born angry. Nobody has ever seen her smile. Honestly she’s pretty intimidating for somebody who stands just barely over 5ft tall (she’s totally standing on a step or a box or something in this pic because Lamont’s like 5′8). The only person who will regularly talk back to her is Lamont. She is burdened with a glorious purpose, which I won’t get into because ~spoilers~ needless to say though, she’s a pretty badass lady who will break your face... and also is... kinda scary evil.

Lamont Devin Age: 16 He’s such an asshole, honestly it’s a miracle he’s still alive given how often he gets on Blair’s nerves. Fortunately for him he’s useful to her, being both a very capable blader and a superb strategist. Annoying as he can be he should never be underestimated as he’s extremely vicious in a fight. Also despite his bad habit of irritating Blair for apparently no reason, he is actually very loyal to her.

I do believe Shirazu has become my favorite dragon...

My ideas for him so far are that he was a wanderer who ended up crossing paths with the Dreaming Ones in his travels. Steerpike did NOT like him at first, like more than Steerpike usually doesn’t like other dragons, but he also seemed weirdly scared of him and wouldn’t just chase him off... So Shirazu sticks around, endears himself to like 90% of the population of the clan through being absolutely gorgeous, and proves his worth by being an excellent strategist and military adviser. Eventually, Steerpike asks him to become a permanent member of the clan and he accepts! Happiness all around... except for on Steerpike’s part because he still doesn’t like the poor guy...

He doesn’t actually have the Mysterious Mantle yet by the way... I’m working on it though.

Sword Changes Decisions

Number 2 up there is the original design because I messed up.

Anywho, yeah, right now I’m having to make the big decision of whether or not to change the design of Ryan’s weapon (specifically the hilt).

I’ve pretty much ruled out design (3) because it’s too fancy. Ryan wouldn’t be caught dead wielding that. It’s more in keeping with Bryce’s style.

So the choice is really between 1, 2, and 4...

Anyone got any input?

Kinda half developing a world for these beasties to exist in also started thinking about Dragon Booster.

Ended up wanting racing on tracks that could end up suspended hundreds of feet in the air to be a factor in their world and now I have a world where the world outside of certain pockets is so dangerous it's impossible for humans to expand outwards so they expand upwards instead.

There's other things to do in the world besides racing and it's not impossible to live outside the protective bubbles but doing so is risky.

There are couriers and adventurers and hermits, etc.

Uuuuh the things that create the pockets of safety also supply energy to the cities and are the only sources of power in the world, and again while their influence expands upwards basically into space, on ground level it only expands out so far depending on the size of the thing that makes the energy (I will not make them crystals I will not make them crystals I will not make them crystals) which is another reason people don't generally live outside the pockets, those that do do so usually without much modern tech.

Also this is just one way cities can look, some do artsy shit like this, some stack buildings up until they end up as a tower, some do kind of a spiral thing. Lots of fun settings to play in.

Izzy and religious symbology is always fun, even though it only barely ties in to his story. Again I need to draw him in a scene where's not angsting but until then ya'll get this!

Playing with some style stuff

This was fun!

My usual stuff is still easier and more comfortable for me but this works really well for giving things a darker, grimmer feel I think.

It's kinda half graphic novel/western comics inspired and half 80s/90s gritty anime inspired and obviously it's a bit messy and random, but I think it turned out pretty good!

Finally finished this I think. The poll I put up about the clouds and moon tattoo ended in a tie between the 'Yes (keep it)' and the 'Yes (keep it), but simplify it' so I simplified it a little. Also realizing I've been waaaay over complicating his art deco tattoo but didn't feel like fixing it right now I will later probably.

Anyway! Some fun facts about him:

-When he's really tired he tends to just bounce between languages at random. So it can get hard to understand him.

-His handwriting is ATROCIOUS and only a couple of people can even come close to reading it.

-He loves to read just about everything, but especially trash novels. The trashier the better.

-The scar on his eyebrow is from running into a low door frame.

-The only person who knows his exact birth date and place is his mother and nobody's heard from her since he was eight.

There's a post going around on Bluesky asking people to post their unicorn artworks and I started realizing that aside from some quick designs I haven't really finished much actual art of unicorns, so have my character Star (name probably temporary, I just needed to use something that wasn't his original name (Blackstar) as a placeholder) just kinda chilling on a hill at sunset.
