hiiiiii everyone. picture me scuttling over and holding this up to you with a :3 on my face. i've been sitting on introducing this wip Properly for awhile, but huzzah! it is here! the Arthur WIP Comic Sans Powerpoint! i hope you enjoy :) if anyone wants me to make a taglist i can Do That but for now uhhh throws this into the void. yeag :3

I have an oc named Orion who Thinks he is an "energy vampire" who just takes people's life force. his understanding of his power at the start of the story is thus: he was involved in a tresspassing at a haunted graveyard that went really wrong, he near-died for just a short enough time for spirits to play around with his head and his soul, and then they threw him back in to see what'd happen. a second chance, basically. he's the only person (as far as he knows) that this has happened to, and he's haunted by the fact that if he'd fully died for even a second, he would just be... dead. he can now communicate with and sense undead/ghostly beings, as well as hold people's spirits in place (essentially make them die slower), but he has to take that energy from somewhere. either himself--which will kill him in the long run--or others, which is what he does, and what he feels a lot of bad things about. (note: he cannot turn off these powers. he can use them as little as possible, but theres fundamentally subconscious elements that require him to play into it whether he wants to or not.) he justifies it to himself, though, with the fact that it's "just" energy. admittedly, he doesn't fully know how it works, and admittedly, it could be anything from making someone tired to taking years off someone's life. he doesn't know. but it's fine, right? he's not *killing* people, right?

and then he has a scary encounter with scary people/monsters and he Fucking Kills And Eats Them In a Craze and it strengthens his body, mind, and powers more than just "energy" ever does and he goes. Oh

he's a major character in the Arthur WIP, and his arc is a lot about repression and isolation of your feelings. his understanding of his vampirism and the levels of power + danger he holds strengthens at the same time as he's becoming closer with Arthur and Rosalind, the people he's with. the more he unlocks the ugly side of his personality (which he's kept repressed under fear that he is unlovable if he is not perfect), the more he unlocks the depth of what vampirism has done to him. essentially, the vampirism becomes messier and bloodier and more physical as his emotions become more real to him. this creates a lot of very fucked but also very closely intertwined relationships with Rosalind, Arthur, and revived Alexei which I'd be willing to talk about if prompted abjsbjsk

but. yeah! vampire! big teeth. healer of the group and kind of confused about it. also, autism. Bites And Kills Things :)
