Finished! I need to soak it and let it hang a little to get the crinkle out of the edges, but the stitching is done! Everything after the cacti was just me freehanding.

Making this blanket for a friend. It's chunky yarn and tapestry crochet, and I've had to bust out yarn bobbins for the flowers. I don't mind the chunky yarn (Hobbii Fluffy Day), but tapestry crochet makes me twitchy because it's perfectly fine for the dropped color to show through a tiny bit, but it personally makes me grit my teeth.

This has finally been delivered to its new owner, so I can post it on here.

When I made the first of these blankets, I really wasn't thinking about how it would become a thing. But here I am with blanket number 5? And I think it's officially a thing now. I also think I'm getting better at it.

As usual, this is about 1m square, that's 175 columns (though double knitting, so 350) and 262 rows.

The design for this one is based on the interests of my friends whose baby it's for, with the owl and the mouse added because I felt like. I started it in December and finished at the end of February, which is pretty quick. I think the owl is my favourite part.
