My Rotational Gameplay System
Hi! There's a video on my channel about how I play rotationally, but some info there is outdated. I figured a post can always be edited, so it's a better way to share how I play The Sims 2.
What is rotational gameplay?
Playing rotationally means that you play multiple households for the same number of days, jumping from one to the other in rounds. This way, you keep the households even, have story progression in all of them, and then you can make them interact, intertwine and merge into new families, not leaving any playable Sim behind.
If you play two-three households and leave the rest unplayed, that's also rotational gameplay. There's no right or wrong way to play The Sims 2!
Setting up the neighborhood
First of all, stealth hoods. I don't want all the same Sims appearing in my family bin over and over, so I made the stealth hoods empty. This tutorial shows how to do it, but it's actually more simple than that – just go into those folders and delete all files in 'Characters'. DO NOT do it in the Documents directory!
Second, I think of which subhoods make sense for this neighborhood. I hardly ever add Downtown. Vacation destinations depend on what I need, I usually add one during gameplay if I'm planning a vacation (which is rare). I like to have one, max two university hoods, especially if they include pre-made Sims. And Bluewater Village is completely redundant, but I sometimes make my own shopping district as an extra area. For example, in my Pleasantview 2.0 I made "Goth Square" that is kind of like a downtown district with apartment buildings, restaurants, clubs etc.
Sometimes I'll tinker with seasons, e.g. Strangetown seems like warm climate, so I might turn off winter in it. Riverblossom Hills must stay default, though.
Basics and keeping track
One round is 4 days for most of my neighborhoods. Some people do it by days of the week or seasons in-game, but I can't be bothered synchronizing my neighborhood after someone moves out and it's again a summer Monday for them. If it's Thursday in the middle of winter in another household at the same time, I really don't mind.
I'm an old school gal when it comes to taking notes to keep track of played days. I have a paper notebook with the grid pattern and mark rounds as squares – each line is one day. I have a whole list of families named by last names mostly, but if a last name repeats (which is often), I either sign them with one of the Sims' first name or their last name + initials. For example, in Riverblossom Hills I have families named Roth (for the "main" Roth family still living in the original house) and Roth LF (Roth – Larch & Fiona).
These days, I use erasable pens in my notes, so no crossing out if a family merges with another or changes its name. For marking days, I still like to use a simple pencil. For side notes (such as planning someone's career or matchmaking) I either use sticky notes or draw a special square and use the erasable pens again to take easily erasable notes. If there's no space on the page anymore, I move onto another. I always keep the old pages, though! I have them pinned in the back of the notebook. Also, I only use notebooks that have tabs of different colors and each neighborhood has its color. Blue for Pleasantview, green for Strangetown, purple for Veronaville, orange for Riverblossom Hills etc. I like to match pen colors to it as well. Yes, I do have ideasthaesia.
For more "serious" neighborhoods I have an additional document on my PC in table form where I plan out the storytelling. I pretty much only have it for my Youtube let's play neighborhoods like Townieville. Fun fact: I have two separate notebooks for "work neighborhoods" and "private neighborhoods". The work one is in smaller format 😂
Here's a fragment of my Townieville notes (the Bendett-LeTourneau family takes too much space when spelled out lol):
As for aging, I made my own custom lifespan that mimics real life years (1 day = 1 year). However, I only age up Sims at "1 day away" (aka the orthodox way) when they're babies and teenagers. Babies because I want them to be 1 year old as toddlers (only Nopke somehow figured out a way to make the baby stage actually 1 day), and teenagers to give them time to attend college. In all the other stages, I wait until the last minute for them to age up on their own. I would never remember to age them up manually or throw parties, also the 1 extra day would make it difficult for me to count their age. That results in the elder stage starting at "57 days old", but I count it as 60 years old. I like to know how old my Sims are for context, that's all.
Population
My limit for one neighborhood is 16 families. If there's more, one round takes forever and I lose interest. In my old Pleasantview, I finally managed to lower the number of families from 24 to 18 and still going. It feels great! So, as you see, I can't do an uberhood/megahood.
To stop my neighborhood from expanding too much, I simply don't make too many kids. I have pretty strict rules that are based on aspirations: Family+Family is 3 kids, Family+Other is 2 kids, Other+Other is 1 kid. If both Sims have family as a secondary aspiration (and I remember that they do), I'll make them have two. It has been working pretty well, but I'm open to changes in the future. Sometimes I will even impregnate a Sim with InSimenator instead of naturally to make sure it's not twins.
I mark every birth on a certain day as a dot and letter (B/G – boy/girl) and plan newborns in advance to have babies be born at a similar time and with balanced genders, so I can match them later. Of course I do have same-sex couples and big-age-difference couples as well. It all comes out when the babies get older, but synchronizing births creates a solid basis. Usually there are no more than 4 kids born in one round.
I love townies, but I avoid bringing them into the neighborhood as much as I can (it expands the population). If two playables are not related and have the potential to be together, I'll tinker with their chemistry to make it happen. I have this mod to help me avoid marrying second-cousins, even if it's not really that big a deal in real life. I do follow chemistry very much in matchmaking though, so if there's any decision to be made between two Sims, I'll always go for the one with the higher chemistry (sort by chemistry and choose the one that appears first – even if the bolts are the same, they are sorted by points).
Wants & Fears
I like to say that I play half-wants-based. I especially like to use wants to avoid having only wealthy families. How? Only if they roll a want of getting a skill point, I'll prioritize career skill points and let them get promoted. Otherwise, they might stay at the same level for years and do other things instead such as hobbies. Even if their lifetime want is the top of a career – the Sims are responsible for progressing in their careers. I don't lock the skill wants either, only the promotion ones if a promotion is guaranteed. But keep in mind that I use mods for no friends needed for careers and less often promotions (I changed it to 85%). That way, some Sims struggle financially, some just have enough to pay the bills, some accumulate money very slowly, and some become rich fast. It's true that it's fortune Sims that usually reach the top of their careers, knowledge Sims are second place, but isn't that actually realistic? If a Sim's lifetime want is anything other than a career, I realize they won't get everyday wants regarding that LTW (unless it's a knowledge Sim with "Max out 7 skills"), so I will push them towards it, but still, not every Sim completes their lifetime want. Also, I use 50 New LTWs and Slower LTA Gain. Homework works a similar way. Since, without mods, your Sims are either failing or having an A+, I use the School Grade Mod for more grade variations, but also base doing homework on the child or teen's wants. If they have any wants about education (private school, college, fear to go to school because of bad grades), they do their homework that day. Also, on weekends I make them catch up on homework if they're not busy.
I do like to listen to what my Sims want to do, but if the want is ridiculous (like wanting to get married to 3 Sims at once for Romance Sims on dates), I'll ignore it. I only use wants or lack thereof for more variety and less decision-making. I use a lot of mods that change wants as well, such as Fewer Hobby Wants. What about pets? If more than half of the household has corresponding wants to get a pet, I'll get them one.
Decisions
Deciding makes me anxious. I want gameplay to be fun and the Sims to be their own people. That's why I have certain rules for choosing aspirations and careers. Here's my entire calculator that saves me in choosing careers. For aspirations, I only use the calculator sometimes if I'm not sure, but usually I look at the Sim's personality and can easily see their aspiration based on traits. Obviously I make exceptions to that rule, I WILL have a grouchy Family Sim from time to time. But I do that only if I feel a certain vibe, so no decision is needed either, I just know this Sim will be the exception. Sometimes, I make exceptions to also differentiate Sims from their parents, as personality is genetic for the most part, so it's likely for two Knowledge Sims to “produce” another Knowledge Sim and I'd like to avoid repetition. Especially with Family Sims, as with my population system it might lead to one family dominating the neighborhood. Family+Family having 3 kids and all of them with the Family aspiration? Not on my watch!
In families of more than one child, how do I decide who moves out and who stays home as an adult? If there are no other factors influencing it, the youngest child stays because the older ones moving out will create the space for the next generation. But it varies based on what housing situation the potential partner has. Oh, yeah, I don't play with elders only, that's boring.
How do I decide who changes their name at marriage? These days, I like to keep the OG last names, so if there's a townie marrying into a pre-made family, I'll keep the pre-made family's name. Gender doesn't matter. If it's two pre-mades getting married, I decide based on how many other Sims there are with that last name (do the Sims have siblings?). It's real tactical work sometimes. If I want to keep both, a hyphenated name is always an option too.
Random events
Not a lot of random events happen in my game. Mostly it's just Sims cheating. I have ACR's risky woohoo set to zero most of the time. I do have some mods that make Sims' lives more risky like more dangerous fires (this version is edited to work with the fire safety skill) or death by childbirth. But if someone dies untimely, they die. Especially if they've already had kids (which sounds cruel lol, but my gameplay is based on legacy and genetic continuity). I also ignore chance cards because they make my game too hectic, and my Sims don't get promoted too much, so I don't need the difficulty. I'll only click on them (randomly without reading) if a family is exceptionally boring.
University
One round is 4 days, that means 4 years, so I guess it would make sense to play the "empty nest" once the offspring is in college. But I don't do that. College is frozen time. In my game, the teenager stage is 9 days – from 13 to 22. It would be too short if I treated university as passing time, as 22 is when US college students graduate. So, I mark a dot with the letter C whenever someone is "1 day away" and ready for college. It's often for the future more than the past, as I like to send a few Sims at once (you know, the babies marked 22 days earlier), so I plan ahead and need to know how many days left. I also send them to college according to their age (even if I don't have to do that with frozen time, it's fun to do), so if there's 2 years difference between Sims, one of them will be a Freshman when the other one is already a Junior. Also, not everyone goes to college! It's wants-based, again. If the teen has the want to go to college the very last morning of their teen stage, they go immediately. And again, exceptions. Sometimes I'll lock in the college want because I just can't imagine that Sim not going to college. I have the No Memory Uneducated mod to stop Sims who didn't want to go to college from crying about it. My university gameplay is the most strictly wants-based, to avoid having all Sims graduate with honors. Don't have a want to gain skill points, but fear academic probation? We're doing bare minimum. That kinda thing. The only want I lock in is "Make Dean's List" because it's pretty rare, and without it I was ending up with 3.2 GPA for every single Sim. This want means we're doing everything to get the highest grade possible.
Supernatural Sims
I'm not a fan of supernatural in The Sims (unless it's Planet Alades). The only occult I absolutely LOVE is ALIEN. I will have aliens in nearly every neighborhood. No Multi PT mod needed. PlantSims are cool too, but only in neighborhoods where they appear from the start. Very rarely do I let my Sims become werewolves, or especially vampires and zombies. If a Sim doesn't age, I don't see a point in playing them. Best regards to all the 'aging off' Simmers out there 😆
That's all! Now I can stop rambling about it in my let's plays and just send you guys to this post if you have questions. Phew!

I saw @clouseplayssims do videos with a fun challenge idea of breeding all the premade sims together to see the ultimate premade sim face, and I wanted to give it a go!
Here's the ultimate sims I've got so far from Pleasantview, Strangetown, Veronaville, Bluewater Village and Riverblossom Hills. EDIT: And now also Desiderata Valley and Belladonna Cove. All very incestuous, but all pregnancies are clinically formed so, as Clouse says in the videos, just don't think about it... Also their names are horrible combinations of their parents. Beautiful.
I think Gilence ended up very Larson, and Bick ended up very Capp but gorgeous. Was sad the elf ears disappeared. The others are definitely mixtures! I think Ajell is my favourite, gotta love an alien. I'm SO thankful for Great-Great-Great Granny Vivian Cho's nose being passed on to Arscian, as most of his ancestors had tiny silly noses!
Also I made a family tree for each sim too, to be a little extra:
Jel Pleasant-Dreamer of Pleasantview
Ajell Grunt-Smith of Strangetown
Bick Monty-Capp of Veronaville
Gilence Landgraab-Delarosa of Bluewater Village
Andreod O'Mackey-McGreggor of Riverblossom Hills
Viribeth Aspir-Bell of Desiderata Valley
Arscian DeBateau-Patel of Belladonna Cove
Now to do the university hoods and the 'stealth hood' families.

Sims 2 Town Merging
Scroll to the bottom for the results
As you may already know from my previous post, I asked the community if I should only do the three base game hoods and then include any other popular families (Landgraabs etc) or if I should do every hood themselves, and the results were for the former.
I have gone over every single town in the sims 2, any hints or details about the location, and I have categorized them into the hood or subhoods I am planning to use. Canonically, between games, the same locations have multiple names and maps are extremely inconsistent.
Example: Old Town -> Pleasantview -> Sunset Valley -> Willow Creek
So, instead of trying to make every individual town, I am planning on condensing all dlc or extra towns into a few categories. Then, when I take lore notes for the sims 3 and 4, I will also compare and merge the towns that make most sense. I will not be adding every single side family from every town, but I may pull some (ei: the ottomas family) if some of the families are missing ancestors and have comparable genetics (ei: A sim has a father referenced but not material family so we could say the mother was an Ottomas etc etc)
This is what I have so far, and will be making a poll of which dlc families are important enough or not to include (ei: Greenmans, Ramirez Family, etc)
Main Hood:
Pleasantview
Four Corners and Garden Heights from sims 2 stories are small towns between Pleasantview and Sim City "Downtown" , so any lore could be used in Pleasantview or the Downtown hoods
Riverblossom Hills is based on Pleasantview and can be assumed to either just be different versions of families or additional families from the larger area
DLCs required if not included in your version ✨️
University Hoods:
Académic Le Tour is the university for Veronaville
La Fiesta Tech is the university for Strangetown
Sim State Uni is the university for Pleasantview
Download Hood:
Arbor Hills is described as a neighborhood "nestled in the mountains of Sim City"
Bitville is a neighborhood within working distance of Sim City and could realistically be one of the more urban areas of a greater metropolitan area
Belladonna Cove, similarly, could be the coastline of a greater metropolitan area
Shopping Districts:
Strangetown:
Mesa Flats is most likely between Strangetown, La Fiesta Tech, and Pleasantview
Veronaville
Bluewater Village could be the "downtown" area of a larger Veronaville
Barkerville could easily fit the vibes of an area of Veronaville and is mentioned in Cottage Living, sims 4
🔸️Should Henford-on-bagley be a suburban of Veronaville? (Sims will go to Veronaville merge)
Travel Destinations / Resorts:
Takemizu Village
🔸️should Mt. Komorebi be it's OWN additional travel destination in permanent winter, or should we merge lore here?
Three Lakes
🔸️assuming all camping towns/lore can be merged from other games here, but should it be set in France to incorporate a more "rich" side of camping on the other side of the hood as according to the French Landgraab town lore in sims 3, if not, would anyone be interested enough in Champ Les Sims to be it's OWN place?
Twikki Island
Wanmani Island from Castaways notes several other islands, and it's not impossible that they are closer than not?
🔸️would merging things like Isla Paradiso and Sulani here be okay to help limit the savefile bloating? I am very aware that Island cultures are not all the same, but I am unaware that the sims team based them individually on specifically different cultures between the sims games and the lore would be that this is all the same *general area.
Please just let me know if anyone as any alternatives to my idea. I will be trying to connect families based on what best makes sense for gameplay. I am ONLY hoping to condense all of the towns into these subcategories so that i can limit the amount of subhoods needed and enhance game performance. If I included absolutely every family ever made, it would bloat the save before you ever load. I do not mean to offend anyone and am open to edits.
Thank you again 💓 💖 ✨️

Hi, I'm Yuri. I made this account during my ✨preteen cringe phase✨ and I didn't use it for much. It was forgotten for years, but a few months ago I got reminded of its existence. Still, I only used it to like post and occasionally comment. About a week and half ago I was like "I'mma make an Uberhood in The Sims 2". While researching how to do it, I found Pixu's account ( https://pixuou.tumblr.com/ultimatehood https://youtu.be/qIQ4lD_ynJI?si=o0JYn1pEDX9YBuC4 ) and got inspired to use Tumblr as a way to record my gameplay and stories I make about the little pixel people. For those who want to know me a little better, I'm a sleep-deprived biotechnology student from Poland. I'm a lesbian in 20s, who's often described as chaotic. Also, from time to time, I might post art since I like to draw. And I enabled the ask option, if anyone is interested in that. So back to the Hyperfixationhood- Uberhood... Basically, it's a way to play every The Sims 2 neighborhood on one savefile. The setup is fairly easy, you need to pick your main hood and then add other ones as subhoods. I'm playing with Pleasantview as my main hood with added Strangetown, Veronaville, Bluewater Village, Riverblossom Hills, Desiderata Valley, Belladonna Cove, and a custom Downtown ( https://katatty.tumblr.com/post/645638968277417984/im-delighted-to-present-at-last-my-fully-madeover I think it doesn't have any Sims, but adds extra space). I also added all 3 universities (Sim State University, Academie Le Tour, La Fiesta Tech), all 3 vacation destinations (Takemizu Village, Three Lakes, Twikkii Island), and all the Sims from the Stealth Hoods. I use the clean versions for each of those. That was the easy part. Because of the discovery of baby face templates ( https://youtu.be/MFhXpq8E8eQ?si=BWxl77sX-Rg5dmFC ), I decided I wanted my Sims to have genetic infant faces. Every hood had its "babyfied" version. ...Except Belladonna Cove and Desiderata Valley. But I found a tutorial by ivycopur on how to create Sims with baby face templates ( https://ivycopur.dreamwidth.org/439.html ), so I was like "I'mma do it myself". Honestly, it wasn't that hard, just took a lot of time. General gameplay information and rules:
- I'm playing rotationally with each family, but the order of the households varies.
* The very first round (Round 0) will last 2 days, and the rest of the rounds will last 6 days.
- I made myself a custom livespan and custom pregnancy duration, using this tutorial https://s2idownloads.blogspot.com/2016/10/new-tutorial-create-new-pregnancyspan.html?m=1
* Sim pregnancy lasts 36 h, and pet pregnancy lasts 12-24 h.
* 1 day = 6 months
Baby - 2 days (0 - 1 year)
Toddler - 10 days (1 - 6 years)
Child - 14 days (6 - 13 years)
Teen - 18 days (13 - 22 years)
Adult - 76 days (22 - 60 years)
Elder - 20- 40 days (70 - 80 years)
- I'm marking the starting year as 2004 since that's when the game was released. Plus it will be funny when I eventually get into the far future, but the technology won't change much.
- I'm helping myself in choosing my Sims aspirations, one true hobby, and job with the help of a calculator made by Marticore ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15qEDgAZI6Lk8IGKfRmemPYftl5n-mmjOt2CyA5e8dmY/edit?gid=1882396550#gid=1882396550 ). I use it for inspiration often.
- I'm using ACR to choose my Sims' sexuality when they become teenagers, but sometimes I pick it myself if I find it fitting (for example, I headcanon Beau Broke as a gay man when he grows up).
- I'm using several supernatural mods that change the mechanics of occult Sims, found in this video https://youtu.be/FcbEoMHxpo8?si=9hNBwhv9HjEiv6Zl , but I only picked some of them. The most notable ones I added to my game are Alien superpowers, children and teen Plantsims, toddler and child Vampires, child Werewolves, toddler and child Witches, and Fairies as a new occult.
* I have supernatural skins as custom skin tones ( https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=284759 ), and I will change Sim's genetics if they become occult (for example, a Plantsim will get a Plantsim skin in their DNA).
- I'm using The Traits Project mod, which adds The Sims 3 traits to The Sims 2 ( https://hexagonal-bipyramid.tumblr.com/traitsProject ), and the farmhand trait ( https://fireflowersims.tumblr.com/post/651840507529543680/the-3t2-traits-and-the-medieval-caste-expansion ).
* I will randomize Sim's traits, but if a Sim gives me a specific vibe, I will pick a trait myself.
* Toddlers get 2 traits, children get 3 traits, teenagers get 4 traits, and adults (and elders) get 5 traits.
* Each Sim will get at least one trait after mom and at least one trait after dad.
* I also have a chronic illness trait mod ( https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=673581 ). I will give it to my Sims if the pregnancy passes terribly, if the Death by Childbirth mod takes effect, or if it fits story-wise.
- I'm playing kind of half wants-based. I'm going to use the Sims' wants to help influence the story, but they won't be the main deciding factor. I don't want every Sim to turn out the same, and I do have some stories planned.
- Knowledge Sims always go to college, Sims with other aspirations go if they have a want at the end of the teen lifestage, or if it fits the story. The Capp family always goes to college. College is frozen time for those Sims, they don't age there.
- If more than half of the household has corresponding wants to get a pet, they will get one.
- I’m working on a spreadsheet that will help me track and control my gameplay. ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1O0DuFTiIFk5nLzxGj3mWXrXrlPaCKBp5iXRbJfvoJSw/edit?usp=sharing ) Also, I'm going to mark my Uberhood posts with the tag "Organized Chaos in Uberhood". Salmon Woods was stunning. Andrew had forgotten how much he loved exploring a place he'd never seen before.

It'd be winter soon. In town they were already advertising the start of the ski season on Great Bear Mountain.

He wondered how Tracy would feel about learning to ski. They could teach the kids to snowboard on the beginner slopes.

He understood why Tracy loved Bluewater Village so much. She'd grown up in Brooklyn Heights and her family had visited her grandparents in the village every summer. To a kid used to the city, the small town by the sea must have seemed magical.
Then, when she'd moved there to get away from a bad relationship with Tanya's father, it was a safe haven, and an opportunity to raise her child in a place where she had so many happy memories.
But you can make memories anywhere.

He found himself imagining a different future for their family. Moving from base to base, to different towns, even different countries. The army paid all the relocation costs, and they'd never have to worry about building on extra bedrooms because the army would provide a house to suit their family.
They could keep the Bluewater cottage, maybe rent it out. Maybe it would be a good place to retire some day in the future.

But for now, there was so much more to discover. He just had to find a way to make Tracy see that.
From Tracy
This is all driven by Andrew's midlife crisis wants - along with the want to change career, he's rolled some little, easy to fulfill ones like changing his clothes, and some big ones like travelling to all three World Adventures destinations. So, yeah, the travel bug has bitten.
I've based his career plans off this mod. In TS2, I imagined the military base was in Bluewater Village, and my military sims could only live there. I put a small base in the TS3 version of the village, and later added a bigger one to Salmon Woods, to give me another reason to move some playable sims there.
We'll catch up with these guys again in a few more story-months.

Investment Potential of Penthouses for Sale in Dubai Marina
Dubai has firmly established itself as one of the world’s top destinations for luxury real estate investment. With its futuristic skyline, tax-free environment, and consistent infrastructure development, the city attracts a global audience of investors and lifestyle seekers alike. Among the most desirable residential assets in the city, penthouses for sale in Dubai Marina stand out as a unique investment opportunity that combines exclusivity, prestige, and profitability.
Why Dubai Marina?
Dubai Marina is one of the most iconic and sought-after waterfront communities in the UAE. With over 3.5 kilometers of shoreline, a man-made canal, and more than 200 residential towers, Dubai Marina represents a masterclass in urban planning and luxury living. It’s not just a residential neighborhoodit’s a lifestyle destination that offers:
Direct access to Marina Walk, a vibrant 7km promenade lined with cafes, restaurants, and retail outlets
Proximity to top attractions such as Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), Bluewaters Island, and Ain Dubai
World-class yacht clubs and marinas
Easy connectivity via Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Metro
In this prestigious environment, penthouses for sale in Dubai Marina offer an unmatched combination of panoramic views, high-end amenities, and spacious layouts that appeal to both end-users and investors.
Strong Return on Investment (ROI)
One of the key reasons investors are drawn to penthouses for sale in Dubai Marina is the consistent and strong ROI. Luxury properties in this area can yield rental returns ranging from 6% to 8% annually, which is considerably higher than similar assets in global cities like London, New York, or Singapore.
Moreover, due to the limited number of penthouses available—compared to standard apartments—these ultra-luxury units enjoy lower market saturation and higher demand, especially from expatriates, corporate executives, and digital nomads looking for premium living spaces.
Capital Appreciation & Resale Value
The penthouse market in Dubai Marina is also known for its capital appreciation potential. In recent years, property values in the Marina have experienced a steady rise, driven by:
Government initiatives promoting real estate investment
Expo 2020's legacy and infrastructure upgrades
High-profile launches by renowned developers like Emaar, Select Group, and Sobha Realty
As a result, penthouses for sale in Dubai Marina not only offer immediate rental income but also long-term value growth. Whether you are looking to hold the asset for 3, 5, or 10 years, the resale value of penthouses in this district is likely to remain strong.
Investor-Friendly Policies
Dubai’s government has created one of the most supportive environments for real estate investment globally. Key benefits include:
Tax-Free Capital Gains: Investors enjoy 0% tax on profits from the sale of property
No Property Taxes: Unlike many countries, Dubai does not impose annual property taxes
Long-Term Residency Visas: Property buyers can qualify for renewable 5- or 10-year residency visas
Full Foreign Ownership: Expats can own 100% of the property in freehold areas like Dubai Marina
These policies reduce entry barriers for international investors and make penthouses for sale in Dubai Marina even more attractive as secure and high-yielding assets.
What Makes Dubai Marina Penthouses Unique?
Not all penthouses are created equal. In Dubai Marina, developers go the extra mile to offer world-class specifications that cater to the city’s luxury clientele. Buyers can expect:
Expansive floor plans, often exceeding 5,000 to 10,000 sq. ft.
Floor-to-ceiling windows with uninterrupted views of the Marina, the Arabian Gulf, and Palm Jumeirah
Private terraces, pools, and sometimes even helipads
Smart home systems and state-of-the-art security
Exclusive access to gyms, spas, and concierge services
These features make penthouses for sale in Dubai Marina the epitome of elite urban living, attracting celebrities, business leaders, and global investors.
Top Buildings Offering Penthouses in Dubai Marina
Some of the most prestigious towers in Dubai Marina that feature penthouses include:
Cayan Tower – Known for its iconic twisting design and panoramic views
Marina Gate – A luxury project by Select Group offering high-end finishes and spacious layouts
Le Rêve – One of the most exclusive residential buildings, often home to billionaires and global elites
The Torch Tower – Offers a great mix of value and luxury, with high rental demand
Each of these buildings enhances the prestige and desirability of owning a penthouse in Dubai Marina.
Conclusion: Is It the Right Time to Invest?
With the resurgence of Dubai’s real estate market, increasing global interest, and limited supply of ultra-luxury units, now is an excellent time to consider investing in penthouses for sale in Dubai Marina. Whether you’re seeking a primary residence, a second home, or a high-performing asset, penthouses in this prime waterfront district deliver exceptional value.
Backed by strong fundamentals, strategic location, and government support, Dubai Marina continues to shine as a golden address for real estate investors around the world.

So, in Bluewater Village rotation, I forgot about renovating a community lot. Dice gods declared it be Hunter's Park!

I didn't change it a lot. Updated the playground and lights, Removed the toilet from above the lake (seriously, Maxis? Seriously?!). Designated two spots for weddings, and added cake and champagne. Made it possible to fish from the dock (those ugly blue fields should go away in Live mode.
And since I was already in renovation mood, I started Old Town with another renovation: Custer's Market.

Well, since this was my remake of my favorite lot, so it was already close to how I wanted. I merely replaced the outdoor grocery bins with TS1 remake and some grocery fridges with seed stands. I also replaced the parrot cage with the parrot stand, added the badger family pictures to the wall and an outdoor sign for fruit shop.
And now, onto the Oldies!

Who are off to a great start. Yes. This happened a lot.

Herb got a half-time job to have some extra cash over his pension, while Coral hit the books.

Another thing Herb decided to work on is getting friendly with a random wolf in hopes of adopting it for his wife.

What to Expect on a Dhow Cruise in Dubai Marina: A Luxurious Evening on the Water
Dubai Marina is renowned for its stunning skyline, luxurious lifestyle, and vibrant atmosphere. One of the best ways to experience the grandeur of this modern marvel is by starting a Dhow Cruise Dubai Marina. Traditional Arabian wooden boats, known as dhows, offer a serene and elegant setting to enjoy the beautiful views of Dubai's skyline while indulging in a luxurious evening on the water. This guide will take you through what to expect from this unique experience, from the onboard entertainment to the exquisite dining options and breathtaking views.
The Charm of a Traditional Dhow
A Blend of Tradition and Modern Luxury
The Dhow Cruise Dubai Marina combines the elegance of traditional Arabian craftsmanship with the opulence of modern amenities. Dhows have long been part of the region’s maritime history, used by fishermen and traders in ancient times. Today, these boats have been refurbished with modern comforts while retaining their traditional wooden exteriors, offering a beautiful blend of old-world charm and contemporary luxury. As soon as you step aboard, you’ll notice the exquisite design and intricate detailing that add to the authentic experience of cruising in a traditional dhow.
The Calm of Dubai Marina Waters
The calm waters of Dubai Marina provide the perfect setting for a relaxing cruise. Unlike the open sea, the marina’s sheltered waters make for a smooth sailing experience, allowing guests to enjoy the journey without the disturbance of strong waves or turbulent conditions. This ensures that your evening is focused on relaxation and enjoying the stunning surroundings.
Boarding the Dhow and the Onboard Ambiance
A Warm Welcome
As you board the dhow, you will be greeted by a friendly and professional crew who will make sure you feel comfortable and ready for your journey. Many cruises offer a welcome drink—often a choice between traditional Arabic coffee, soft drinks, or refreshing mocktailsto set the tone for the luxurious evening ahead.
Luxurious Interior and Seating Arrangements
Once aboard, you’ll find the dhow’s interior to be elegantly designed with plush seating and soft ambient lighting. Most dhows feature indoor, air-conditioned seating and outdoor areas where you can sit on the upper deck and enjoy the cool evening breeze. Whether you prefer the comfort of the indoor seating or the open-air atmosphere on the upper deck, you’ll have a front-row seat to the incredible views of Dubai Marina.
Relaxing Music and Entertainment
The evening is often accompanied by soft, relaxing music playing in the background, setting a calming and serene mood. Many dhow cruises also feature live entertainment, which might include traditional Tanoura dance performances or live music, adding an extra touch of culture and enjoyment to your experience. Tanoura dancers, in their vibrant costumes, perform mesmerizing spins that captivate the audience, reflecting the rich heritage of the Middle East.
The Breathtaking Views
Stunning Marina Skyline
One of the highlights of the Dhow Cruise Dubai Marina is the chance to witness Dubai’s spectacular skyline from a unique vantage point. As the dhow glides along the water, you’ll pass by iconic skyscrapers, luxury residences, and some of the city’s most famous landmarks. The skyline comes to life as the sun sets, and the buildings are illuminated in brilliant hues, creating a breathtaking backdrop for your cruise.
A Glimpse of Iconic Landmarks
Apart from the stunning skyline, the Dhow Cruise in Dubai Marina also offers views of other iconic landmarks such as the Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel located on Bluewaters Island. You’ll also pass by the Palm Jumeirah in the distance, one of the most famous man-made islands in the world. These landmarks, combined with the glistening waters of the marina, create a truly magical experience.
Sunset and Twilight Views
If you time your cruise to coincide with sunset, you’re in for a treat. Watching the sunset over the marina and the city’s skyline transition from day to night is a breathtaking sight. As the sky shifts to twilight, the dazzling lights of the buildings reflect off the water, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The calm water mirrors the city’s glow, and the entire scene becomes a perfect backdrop for a luxurious evening on the water.
Exquisite Dining Experience
A Lavish Buffet Dinner
No dhow cruise is complete without a delightful dining experience. Most dhow cruises in Dubai Marina offer a lavish buffet dinner featuring a wide range of international and Middle Eastern dishes. You’ll have the chance to sample a variety of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, all freshly prepared by skilled chefs. The menu often includes a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, catering to diverse tastes and preferences.
Traditional Arabian Flavors
For those looking to experience authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, the dhow cruise provides an excellent opportunity to sample traditional dishes. Many cruises offer Arabic specialties such as shawarma, kofta, and kebabs, cooked to perfection. These flavorful dishes are often paired with freshly baked Arabic bread, aromatic rice, and rich sauces, allowing you to enjoy a true taste of the region.
Beverage Options
In addition to the sumptuous buffet, dhow cruises typically offer a selection of beverages, including soft drinks, water, and traditional Arabic coffee. Some premium cruises may also provide a selection of mocktails and fresh juices, ensuring you stay refreshed throughout the evening. For those looking to add an extra touch of luxury, certain cruises offer the option of purchasing alcoholic beverages, including wine and beer.
Unwinding on the Upper Deck
Relax and Enjoy the Breeze
After dinner, many guests choose to move to the upper deck to enjoy the fresh air and panoramic views of Dubai Marina. The open-air deck provides the perfect space to relax, take in the sights, and enjoy the gentle breeze as the dhow continues its journey along the water. With the city lights twinkling in the background, the upper deck becomes an ideal spot for unwinding and soaking up the luxurious ambiance of the evening.
Perfect for Photography
The upper deck also offers the best vantage point for capturing photos of Dubai Marina’s iconic skyline and landmarks. Whether you’re a professional photographer or simply looking to snap a few memorable shots, the upper deck provides the ideal backdrop for stunning pictures. Many guests take the opportunity to capture the dazzling lights of the city, the reflections on the water, and the beautifully illuminated dhow itself.
Bottom Line

From the moment you board the dhow, you’ll be immersed in a world of elegance, relaxation, and fine dining. “You nervous?” Zaire asked over breakfast that morning. “Nervous?” Shea asked. “Of course not. We’re just talking about super advanced medical science that’s going to effectively make men useless for procreation. I’m stoked!”
“Me too,” Zaire said with a laugh, reaching over to hold Shea’s hands. “It’s gonna be really cool looking down at our kid and knowing they’re ours.” “Whatever happens, our kid will be ours,” Shea said, reassuringly.
Shea and Zaire made their way to Bluewater General Hospital, quite a trek all the way from West Valley. Zaire took a few deep breaths as she laid down on the examination table. “You good?” Shea asked, sitting nearby. I’m good,” said Zaire. “We don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do.” “I know,” she said. “Thank you, sweetie.”
Just then, the doctor knocked and entered. Shea hopped to her feet and immediately stuck out an outstretched hand. “Hi!” she said, a little too enthusiastic. “I’m Shea and this is my wife Zaire. We’re gonna have a baby together.” “Shea,” Zaire muttered. “It’s always great to see eager parents,” the doctor said. “I’m Dr. Lowell.”
Dr. Lowell walked over to Zaire and smiled at her, looking between her and Shea. “As we discussed over the phone, this procedure is fairly new,” he began. “It’s safe, but comes with the same risks as a traditional pregnancy. Additionally artificially impregnation also carries a higher chance of having multiples.”
“So I could be the next octo-mom?” Zaire joked. “I wouldn’t go that far, but you may end up with twins or triplets,” Dr. Lowell said with a laugh. “Biologically, the child would be yours and your wife’s. Amazing what science can do, isn’t it?” “It truly is,” Zaire said with a smile. “When can we get started?”
“I’ll have you both sign a consent form, and we can do the procedure right now!” Dr. Lowell said. “Excuse me, I’ll be right back with the form.” Once he left, Zaire jumped up and hugged Shea tightly. “It’s really happening!” she exclaimed. “We’re gonna be mommies,” Shea said with a giggle.
“How are you feeling?” Shea asked a few hours later once they arrived home. “Crampy,” Zaire muttered. “But otherwise ok. I hope this works. It feels so surreal! In a good way, of course.” “The best way,” Shea said, kissing the top of Zaire’s head.
It didn’t take more than a few days for the procedure to work, and soon, Zaire was pregnant! The two were absolutely over the moon about it, and Shea was more than ready to become a mother.
“I hope there’s not 8 of you in there,” Shea said, rubbing Zaire’s belly. “We only have 3 extra bedrooms. I guess we could get you some bunkbeds. No more than 6, ok? But regardless of how many are in there, we’ll love you either way!” “Indeed we will,” Zaire laughed. “But please, let’s not jinx it. I don’t think I could have 6 babies all at once!”

Andrew had never really seen the point of making a bigger deal of 'milestone' birthdays. I mean, sure, you can contemplate your life at 20 or 30 or 40, but you could equally contemplate the past decade at 24 or 36 or 41. Now however, at age 30, he found himself drawn into reflecting back even so.

To be fair, his life was hugely different to the way it had been ten years ago. At 20, only a couple of years out of a childhood spent in children's homes and foster care, Andrew was completely without ties.
He travelled around, taking any job he could, and only staying until he had enough money to move on to the next town. Then, at 25, he'd come to Richmond.
He'd got a job as usual, but in a matter of months, he also had a girlfriend, a dog and an apartment. True, the only one of those things he still had now was the the dog, but he hadn't exactly shaken off the bonds of adult responsibility either.

He'd lost the job because of his somewhat chaotic relationship with the girlfriend. Then in quick succession he broke up with the girlfriend, got the apartment and got the dog. Then he got another job working for the brother of the woman who had just fired him. The ex-girlfriend left town, came back, and then started working for the same guy as Andrew. Not that it mattered because, by then, he had another girlfriend.

He'd met Tracy through an online dating site. She was living in a cottage in Bluewater Village that had belonged to her late grandparents, with her daughter Tania.

She was also studying for a Communications degree at SSU. Their relationship had developed quickly, and Andrew (and his dog) left the apartment to move out to Bluewater village with her.
Tracy's parents now owned the cottage, and they'd let her stay there rent free while she was in college. It was only fair that they start to pay after Andrew moved in with her. Money was tight but Tracy grew vegetables for them and Andrew did extra shifts, and they were a happy little family.

As for Andrew's other extended family, as he'd told Tracy they weren't really people you'd want to get to know. He'd kept in loose contact with a couple of relatives, though, and through them he learned about a distant cousin, a five year old boy who needed a home following the dissolution of his own family.
Andrew's experiences in state care hadn't been too bad, but he'd heard the horror stories from others. And in any case, a home and family of your own were going to be better no matter what. They were far from rich but they were sure they could afford another child, and there was some government support for foster parents. Following a hectic series of appointments, lessons in kinship fostering, home reviews and legal advice, Neal joined their family.

Tania was used to being an only child, and it took her a while to accept Neal. After a couple of years, they now got on well.

There was still the occasional argument, but no more than any other kids growing up in the same family. And they really were all family now, after Andrew and Tracy were married a couple of summers ago.

It was a quiet ceremony in their backyard, with only their children and Tracy's parents and a couple of close friends as guests.

They'd kept it small partly because of the cost, and partly because Tracey's friend Juliana was finally planning her own wedding for that autumn, and they didn't want to steal the attention from her when she'd had so many problems and delays.

From Andrew
These guys have never had an update since I recreated my neighborhood in TS3, so there's a lot to get through.
Neal joined the family almost immediately after I recreated them in TS3. I had set up Story Progression for the household and turned off pregnancy - but I forgot to turn off adoption. Family-orientated sims that they are, the next time I went to play the household it had a new addition. I had played other households for some time and I didn't have a save before it happened, so he got to stay. I made him a family member of Andrew because that made more sense than a couple in their position intentionally seeking to adopt an unrelated child.
Everything Andrew describes in the first part of the story happened back in TS2 and on the blog - you can find the updates by following his tag. It was a slightly crazy period in the story, but it all seems to have worked out well in the end.
