Are you ever going to write anything for Mikael from the Promise? Love your works btw! Especially your more niche ones

I don’t have an exact answer for this, it’s sort of muddy

First off, it would take a lot of research and time to write for the time period and during an active genocide, since I would never write just brushing that aside and I wouldn’t want to get all my information about it from the movie as just one source, like with Bassam I have two dozen tabs on Iraq and Arab culture and am digging through loads of literal miles of ‘anti terror’ and Islamophobic propaganda to find actual stuff about what it’s like to live in Samara and the surrounding area, and while I love doing it, I’m not keen to add a whole nother culture and time period to that and all the other stuff I’m researching for fics

Mikael, like Abel Morales, Rydal Keener, a couple of others, their stories were more about just that, the story, as opposed to the characters, and I just didn’t have any ideas or feel the need to add or fix or change anything about them through fanfiction. Their stories are complete or their characters were just not as compelling personally to me to write with as some others. The Promise has some big problems as a movie and as a portrayal of events that I’m not really going to get into here but they’re broader and more integral than a one or two shot could fix, and I’m already two billion one shots and four or five long fics deep in all this and related fandoms, so

Maybe I’ll read some other stuff and get some ideas and have a little something at some point, no promises (lmao), because I do really love Mikael he’s like my top five Oscar Isaac characters, and I think his mannerisms and personality would be very fun to write for, but for now, I don’t have any ideas and have got other stuff I’m working on
