Likely my mom’s 16yo dog, Spot, is reaching severe stages of doggy dementia. Mom is coming to terms with the fact that it’ll likely be time to let her go within the next month.

We extended her life by putting her on The Farmer’s Dog food, which led to her eating again. We got glucosamine chews, painkillers, and CBD oil. The cats become her playmates and also extended her life.

Right now we have crusted dog food and dog shit on the floor all over, paper towels everywhere because she’s basically incontinent, and she tracks it everywhere. It’s going to be really hard on Mom. She’s literally had Spot since she was born, as we adopted Spot’s mom when she was pregnant and rehomed three of the puppies but kept one.
