I dont like how CGI!Gordon keeps getting dunked on in episodes. it pains me to watch how reverted his character is and how little sympathy anybody has for him in favor of everyone wanting to watch him squirm so much. it’s like he never got past series 1-2.

Old Reliable Edward, Henry Gets the Express, Forever and Ever
similar reason as to why i dislike Edward the Really Useful Engine- this should’ve ended after Exploit but nooooo we gotta keep the edward v gordon conflict going for some reason 😭

Edward the Really Useful Engine, Edward’s Exploit
as weird/OOC the HiT era is, it’s surprising that Edward & Gordon are capable of being on good terms (even in a learning segment) and is able to show Gordon’s growth as well as the other engines showing respect to him back in a GOATED episode (Respect for Gordon)

When i was in my last year before high school i watched my first show in english instead of dubbed french : doctor who . That lead me to get really motivated to learn english, which led to me trying to watch youtube videos in english so i discovered John Cozart, who did a video with Thomas Sanders, who mentioned the song 'For the record' from 36 questions, which got me to listen to it on repeat until i actually listened to the musical in full, which got me really obsessed with Jonathan groff, who now plays Rogue in doctor who.

I saw the FNAF movie today and to my absolute surprise, I actually loved it. (I genuinely thought I would be cringing all the way through- no offense to any FNAF fans but I have some very. Embarrassing memories of being into the series during the first three games that makes it hard to enjoy anything FNAF related…) I think it’s only because I was in a theatre of people all my age and with a group of friends- where NOBODY there was taking it seriously. Literally like someone would laugh and then the whole theatre would be giggling. Some kid shouted “THE BITE OF 87??” and the whole theatre lost their shit. The movie itself was unintentionally very hilarious and the crowd was fun so I really enjoyed it all the way through. I think stupid, goofy vibe in that theatre helped me overcome the extreme embarrassment I feel whenever anything FNAF comes up, which is nice.
Also people who genuinely cared were complaining about how it’s not super lore accurate but tbh even with my little knowledge of how the lore has changed I thought it was close enough-

deadpool is sort of the last movie I would've expected to draw back the old marvel charm, and remind you why its movies were so successful in the first place.
it has all the foundations, you know.
cameos based on pure nostalgia, self aware humor, the big epic action set pieces, and endless CGI.
things that got ruined in all of the other mediocre movies that plagued phase 4, and damaged the brand's reputation with audiences.
but deadpool being the movie to bring back that special feeling, of like, seeing a movie that's both good AND fits into a multiverse, but without being completely dragged into it...
it's just nuts that it was DEADPOOL of all things to do it.
Deadpool's not kid friendly, which is basically Disney's entire brand, especially when it comes to Marvel. He's openly pansexual, a concept that terrifies the Russo brothers and Disney execs.
It also married nostalgia to its main plot, AND played up the nostalgia of the Fox version of the X-men, as an homage/farewell to Fox.
Which I really wasn't expecting. Like Disney is trying to bury the old X men.
Writing them a love letter, and still making fun of them, was just so out of left field.
I guess it's just surprising that it was Deadpool and Wolverine to bring back classic Marvel, because it was this underdog, that no one expected to be popular from the very beginning.
It coming back to save the MCU...
Yeah.
Deadpool being Marvel Jesus...fitting in more ways than one.
Well done, Deadpool.
You did get the last laugh...didn't you?

bro the sad part is even after the success of deadpool 3 I just know kevin feige isn’t going to learn a damn thing from it. ryan and co had to fight tooth and nail to do it their way. to have it R rated. to have the original writers who actually like writing about deadpool back . to make the jokes and the cameos that felt fresh. to focus less on cgi and explosions and more on characters (while also having lots of explosions). to have a contained storyline that didn’t just feel like a trailer for the next film. for creative liberties and comic book accuracy (if not plot wise at least aesthetically & tiny lil details for fans). it felt so cinematic bc u could tell how much work and thought was put into it. the costuming the lighting the make up the cinematography the jokes the 100 detailed Deadpools. and it might not have been perfect but it was fun and fucked up and weirdly heartwarming and a movie I’m going to be watching again and again on rotation (something I cannot say about many if any recent projects). and yet despite this I just know deadpool 3 is going to be an outlier not a lesson. alas

DC: we're gonna defile the memories of famous actors by creating CGI cameos to cash in on classic superhero movies of the past
Marvel: we're gonna throw in cameos from movies that never even existed in the first place and give happy endings to stories that never got the chance to finish for themselves
