I realize that you probably don't need this answer a year later, but I'm going to file away the question and the rng because it pointed out something interesting I hadn't realized until now. Often the math solution is to embed in an infinite thing bc your limit objects are pretty well-behaved, while the CS solution is to embed it into a sufficiently large but finite thing.

However, whenever someone brings up an unjudged comp, most of staff gets testy and passive aggressive? Telling us to "be patient". Why set an end date at all if they cannot be followed, and we're treated poorly for rightfully being concerned?

My apologies if anything seems to come off as passive aggressive. If you have a specific issue in mind please 1x1 me on CS and we can discuss it. Otherwise I can let staff know to try and be more diligent with judging, but occasionally life can get in the way and it can be frustrating to get bombarded with rude or impatient messages the day after 30 days rolls over. Staff don't mind being reminded, often times it's just the circumstance of the reminding.

Doch wenn die Neuerung überzeugend genug ist, dann kann es auch im Mainstream-Bereich Bewegung geben.Unser heutiges Testgerät, das Lenovo IdeaPad 320s-13IKBR, ist ein schönes Beispiel für diesen Prozess der "Innovations-Verbreitung" in der Praxis: Da wären einerseits die neuesten Intel Core i-CPUs der 8. Der prominenteste Laptop dieser Klasse (kompaktes 13,3-Zoll-Ultrabook) ist das Dell XPS 13, welches wir auch schon mit den aktuellen CPUs testen konnten. Allerdings ist das XPS eindeutig teurer, dennoch werden wir es als Referenzpunkt in den Vergleich mit aufnehmen. Eher der Preisklasse des IdeaPads entsprechend ist das Dell Inspiron 13 7370, wohingegen das HP Envy 13-ad006ng ein Premium-Ultrabook wie XPS 13 ist. Abgerundet wird das Feld der Konkurrenten durch das Asus Zenbook UX310UA.

Lenovos Lineup von Notebooks für Privatkunden ist in fünf Klassen aufgeteilt: 100, 300, 500, 700 und 900. Die 900er-Serie ist die teuerste und hat dementsprechend auch das beste Gehäuse, das Yoga 920-13IKB hat zum Beispiel ein Aluminium-Unibody-Gehäuse. Zwar ist die Handballenauflage und die Tastaturunterlage stabil gegenüber punktuellem Druck, ansonsten muss man aber deutliche Abstriche im Vergleich zu teureren Notebooks machen. Weder der dünne Displaydeckel noch die Basiseinheit können Verwindungsversuchen viel entgegensetzen, wobei sich der Displaydeckel einfacher verwinden lässt. Druck auf dessen Rückseite wirkt sich auch schnell sichtbar auf das Displaypanel aus. Das IdeaPad 320s-13IKBR mag teureren Ablegern wie dem IdeaPad 710s-13IKB äußerlich sehr ähnlich sehen, doch qualitativ liegen Welten dazwischen, sowohl von der Haptik als auch der Stabilität her. Wenigstens ist das Gehäuse einwandfrei verarbeitet.

Der Bildschirm ist mit der Basis durch ein einzelnes Drop-Down-Scharnier verbunden – ein Design, dass durch die Macbooks populär wurde. Man kann das Display nicht mit einer Hand aufklappen und das Scharnier wackelt auch ein wenig in ruckeligen Umgebungen.Dank der dünnen Displayränder ist das IdeaPad für ein 13,3-Zoll-Notebook sehr kompakt, nur das XPS 13 ist noch minimal kleiner. Alle Modelle im Vergleich haben schmale Displayränder, mit Ausnahme des Asus Zenbook UX310UA, das deshalb das größte Konkurrenzgerät ist. Vom Gewicht her gibt es keinen sehr großen Unterschied zwischen den Kontrahenten, alle bewegen sich im 1,2- bis 1,4-kg-Bereich.Das IdeaPad verfügt über eine sehr einfache Anschlussausstattung, die das Nötigste bietet. Schade, dass Lenovo hier einen USB-2.0-Anschluss verbaut. Das sollte im Jahr 2017 eigentlich nicht mehr vorkommen. Eine verpasste Chance stellt auch der USB-C-Anschluss dar, der lediglich Daten mit USB-3.0-Geschwindigkeit überträgt. Zum Laden oder als Display-Anschluss kann der USB-C-Port nicht genutzt werden.

Die Anschlüsse liegen insbesondere auf der rechten Seite etwas eng beieinander, was zu Problemen führen kann, wenn man mehrere Ports gleichzeitig nutzt.Ganz dem Sparkurs entsprechend verbaut Lenovo beim Testgerät kein 2x2-WLAN, sondern nur die 1x1-AC-WLAN-Karte Intel Wireless 3165. Im Alltag reicht das auch absolut aus, doch in den Benchmarks ist die Limitierung im Vergleich mit den 2x2-Wi-Fi-Modulen sichtbar.Die Webcam ist, anders als zum Beispiel beim Dell XPS 13, oberhalb des Bildschirms platziert. Das ist aber nur ein schwacher Trost für die ansonsten schlechte Qualität der Webcam. Für Videotelefonie reicht sie gerade so aus, genau wie die integrierten Mikrofone.
