So Classic Gents XL & National Curves Days Present Ingathering 2022
So Classic Gents XL & National Curves Days Present Ingathering 2022 The beginning of the big and tall men’s movement is upon us. We as Big and Tall men have been standing on the outside peering our faces into the door of plus-size women’s fashion. Wondering... when it’s going to be our turn. Well, the clock strikes 12 and it's our time. So Classic Gents XL partnered with National Curves Day to create an amazing event for us Big & Tall men exclusively. For most of our existence as a community, we’ve been a secondary add on to plus size women because they pioneered the way for us to even exist in the room, and we appreciate that. However now it’s our time to step out from the shadows and show people that we’re here and we’re not going anywhere. Now that we graduated to the first grade and it’s time for us to show people that we’ve arrived. So Classic Gents XL along with National Curves Day partnered with amazing brands that helped us elevate our style on the runway those brands being the DXL, Johnny Bigg and Strong Side and last but not least MVP. So Classic Gents XL & National Curves Days Present Ingathering 2022 When the tell you the opportunity to walk into the room where you know that you youre going to be the center of attention really changes the mood. I saw men in the room with their shoulders back and they looked like they felt important. It finally felt like we were being taken seriously the fact that we had a whole event devoted just to us. I really want to thank the people over it So Classic Gents XL and National Curves Day for making this possible. Let’s talk about the Big and Tall panel that was hosted By Brian K Harris with panelist Cameron Boyland, Brandon Madden, Corey, and Koren who are signed models giving you their experience of how they navgitve the industry. As you all know big and tall modeling is not an old industry. It’s very new so for these guys to be doing it as long as they’ve been doing it and to be able to provide their expertise was amazing. On the panel they talk about how they created a lane for us to be able to see ourselves on national stage like Fashion nova ,Nike Champion ,Kohl’s and JC Penny. These brands are major and are seen all across the United States and some across the world. It really helps shape the way people see us. People in other countries can see us as models just the same as straight size models then it helps shape the narrative when you think about Big and Tall men. Every time you see us when you passing in the street it changes the way your mind thinks about us. You wont immediately look at that person and begin to think of all the the normal negative social constructs you’ve been though to think about Plus Size Men. You will look at us and you see us as sexy you'll see someone that you would date, as someone that can be a partner to you. We'll no longer be just teddy bears we’re or big boy season thats only good around for the winter month. Rather as all year long partners which is the goal that we’re working to change here at XL Tribe. So without further notice, I want to present to you the So Classic Gents XL & National Curves Days Present Ingathering 2022 Fashion Show Sponsored by DXL, MVP Johnny Bigg, and StrongSide.

Tribe News - 27 September 1999
THE TRIBE ON THE WEEKEND On the weekend, Dwayne Cameron (BRAY), Jaimee Kaire-Gataulu (CHLOE), and Sarah Major (PATSY) went home to visit their families before returning to the Cloud 9 production center to resume filming. Victoria Spence`s friend visited and stayed with Victoria at her houseparent and chaperones` house near the Cloud 9 production centre and spent most of the weekend shopping and catching up on news of their friends at Victoria`s school, all of whom are major Tribe fans and very proud that their schoolmate is achieving success as a regular cast member of the Tribe. Beth Allen (AMBER) and Amy Morrison (ZANDRA) remained with their families at their homes while Caleb Ross (LEX) entertained Antonia Prebble (TRUDY), who is staying with the Tribe cast and houseparents while her family visited the South Island. Michael Wesley-Smith (JACK) caught up on school work as did Ashwath Sundarensen (DAL) and Airi (KC) while Ryan Runciman (RYAN) learned his lines and checked out some of the rugby (Ryan is a keen rugby fan). Meryl Cassie (EBONY) spent most of the weekend recording (John Williams and Matt Prime anticipate the completion of the Tribe album in approximately four weeks and we will provide details of the release date so keep checking the website for exclusive information).
THE CHOSEN We have been authorised to reveal that fans of the Tribe throughout the world will be introduced to some new characters in the second series including the Guardian - a mysterious and spiritual leader of the enigmatic Tribe called The Chosen, who become an ominous threat and adversary of the Mall Rats. The Chosen are a breakaway, almost renegade faction of the Locos, inspired by the word of Zoot and throughout the back-story episodes in series 2, fans will note the Guardian under his alias of Jaffa becoming friends with Martin - prior to his incarnation under the persona of Zoot.
DANNI, ALICE, ELLIE In addition to the Guardian/Jaffa, there are other characters introduced in series 2. Obviously storylines are highly confidential, but we have been authorised to reveal as an exclusive to website fans and users, that Alice the humorous farm girl will return along with her sister Ellie, and life for the Tribe will never quite be the same when they encounter these slightly unusual women of the Earth (and as a sneak preview, Jack in particular is destined to feature in the amorous Ellie`s plans). Also, a stunning young lady (Danni) will affect the lives of the Mall Rats and we will reveal more information in later editions on the website so keep checking the Bulletin Board for updates.
TRIBE MUSIC WORLD EXCLUSIVE On Monday 27th September, the cast and crew of Tribe Series 2 attended a premier of the two music videos which were filmed recently, and all concerned were thrilled with the end results. The Cloud 9 post-production team has been busy editing and laying tracks so the finished result was eagerly anticipated by all concerned. One track is entitled "Abe Messiah" and is a spiritual and inspired piece of music which is very different and can only be described as "Tribe rock" featuring a strong gospel element and celebrating the birth of the Abe Messiah. The other track is entitled "This is the Place" and features Dwayne Cameron, Caleb Ross and Daniel James (BRAY, LEX - and yes, ZOOT!) all of whom seem reminiscent to a cross between Boyzone and Backstreet Boys, and their singing and choreography is very impressive. The music video involves some sexy slow dancing between Bray and Danni, Zoot and Trudy, and Lex and Ebony - but this is not relevant to any storyline themes of the Tribe, it is purely visuals to punctuate the song which is very much a love song. Other members of the cast will feature on other music videos as and when the tracks and album have been completed. We have been authorised to reveal that Cloud 9 is currently negotiating to try and make these videos available EXCLUSIVE to members of the Official Tribe Fan Club and more information will be posted when details are known - hopefully long before Christmas so that members of the Fan Club will receive limited editions of the music videos.
MIPCOM Mipcom? This is a global television festival rather like the Cannes Film Festival. MIPCOM is actually held in Cannes in the South of France and members of Cloud 9`s administrative team and the sales team of Cloud 9`s distribution subsidiary, Cumulus, will be attending the festival to discuss several foreign territories acquiring the series, which means that fans of the Bulletin Board on the website will soon be able to chat with viewers all over the world. The Tribe is rapidly evolving into a cult series and has received great critical acclaim as well as very high ratings. This has generated an enormous amount of interest from several broadcasters all over the world from America to Japan, Germany to Italy, and more details will be posted about transmissions in other countries. But as sure as the sun sets and rises again - the world is going Tribal!
CAST APPEARANCE ON TRIBE TALK Victoria Spence (SALENE) appeared on the Bulletin Board last week and had a tremendous response from fans. Victoria (who likes to be called Tori - and never Vicky!) enjoyed chatting with fans about all kinds of topics and areas both on and off-screen. Victoria tried her very best to answer as many messages as she can and apologies to those messages and users whom she could not reply to. Victoria will be appearing on the Bulletin Board later this week to answer messages she was unable to get to last week due to the huge demand. We will be announcing details of the next cast member to appear live and exclusive on Tribe Talk on Monday 4th October.
NOT LONG NOW - NEW TRIBEWORLD! The bigger and even better new Official Tribe Website is in the final stages of testing. Our design team want to make sure that everything runs smoothly and works well on the new website before it goes live and online. The new official site will have all the sections on the existing site but many new ones with loads of exciting info and things to do and many new original areas that have never before appeared on other websites! We anticipate that the new website will be ready early November. Not long now!

This painting is from Jarvis Boyland‘ s 2019 solo exhibition, On Hold at Kohn Gallery in Los Angeles.
From the press release-
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Boyland navigates intersections of black identity through portraiture. His paintings focus on queer men of color within intimate spaces. Boyland sees the domestic space as the foundation of social ideologies and an incubator that molds the facade of masculinity. Based on photographic images that the artist reconfigures to create specific compositions, Boyland’s paintings sensitively highlight the nuances of these complex interpersonal relationships, identities, and locales.
The idea of comfort is a recurring theme in Jarvis Boyland’s work. The complex intersections of blackness and queerness shape his delicate renderings of the black male body in repose. The figures in On Hold: dream big and beautifully, yet they are fully grounded and aware in their leisure. Boyland’s palette suggests stillness in the digital age of app culture that shapes modern interaction while evoking David Hockney’s 1970s California and the coolness of Barkley Hendricks. Black bodies are not welcomed in cyberspace but are privileged in Boyland’s paintings. Expectations, aspirations, and dreams that infuse queer experiences come into focus. Situated within domestic environments, Boyland’s paintings emphasize limpness through intimate gestures of distant closeness, overlapping satin garments, and a seemingly shared vanishing point. Coy yet cocky, pretty and promiscuous, commanding yet chaste––luxury is embodied by the three figures waiting on the phone with varied expressions in these slumber-party-themed works. There is tense correspondence, a deliberation about relationships within the group of artists pictured, all of whom grew up in the American South: D’Angelo Williams, Cameron Clayborn, and Jarvis Boyland. Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture brought these artists together and influenced the tone of this series. On Hold: expands Boyland’s oeuvre of queer relationships. Through his aperture, Boyland’s group and individual portraits collectively depict an idyllic sensibility towards reality.

I’ve listened to portions of Matt, Ryan, and Laura’s episodes, and Ash’s episode has just been uploaded this morning, so I will try and listen to that one sometime today (as well and try and finish some of the other episodes).
Announced for upcoming episodes: James Napier Robertson (Jay), Jaimee Kaire-Gautulu (Cloe), and Ari Boyland (KC). The last I heard, Jaimee was raising her three sons and Ari had gotten married last summer, but James hasn’t really been active on social media (although he’s still running the production company with Tom Hern, and Tom is very active on Instagram). It will be interesting to hear what they’ve all been up to.
Personally, the ones that haven’t done interviews yet I’d be most interested to listen to would be: Dwayne Cameron (Bray), Jacinta Wawatai (Mouse), and maybe Sarah Major (Patsy). Dwayne is still pretty active on Instagram, but Jacinta and Sarah seem to have dropped from the face of the earth. (I haven’t resumed watching Series 5 yet, but Mouse kinda grew on me, and I love how they gave her such a peaceful, symbolic send-off when she went to join the Ecos.)
So, I’ve been listening to The Tribe’s official podcast and I’m trying to finish Vanessa Stacey’s (Alice) episode of her interview with the show’s co-creator Ray Thompson, and she revealed that there were two actors shortlisted to play the character who eventually became Ned: one was Bevin Linkhorn (who ended up being cast) and the other was...Jemaine Clement! Yes, that Jemaine Clement!
I’m just trying to imagine him as Ned now. Maybe I would have liked Ned as a character a little better. I’m honestly laughing at this.
Of course, Jemaine would go on to do a brief guest stint in Series 4 alongside his friend Taika Waititi as a couple of Reality Space cowboys who end up in a fight with Lex.
Current Great Tribe Re-Watch progress: I’m almost at the halfway point of Series 5. Ellie has returned to The Mall and Mouse is thinking about leaving to join the Ecos.
Also, a few more episodes of the podcast are coming soon: Laura Wilson (May), Victoria Spence (Salene), Ryan Runciman (Ryan), Matt Robinson (Slade), and Ash Sundarasen (Dal) have all been announced as being confirmed for upcoming episodes.
Already interviewed so far: Danny James (Zoot), Meryl Cassie (Ebony), Antonia Prebble (Trudy), Beth Allen (Amber), Damon Andrews (The Guardian), Mike Wesley-Smith (Jack), Caleb Ross (Lex), Tom Hern (Ram), Jennyfer Jewell (Ellie), Nick Miller (Pride), and Michelle Ang (Tai-San).

The Bigger Picture Proclaims The Spotlight for Plus-size Men During NYFW
The Big & Tall Men really showed up and showed out This year at NYFW. This years NYFW take over was made possible by Johnny Bigg & National Curves Day. Size inclusivity definitely made some progress during New York Fashion Week. The Big & Tall community represented by National Curves Day, Inc., actively took matters into their own hands by launching “The Bigger Picture, A Plus-size Male Campaign” accompanied by a flash mob fashion segment sponsored by Johnny Bigg. The Co-Founders spearheading this transformational movement are Big & Tall International Model and Influencer, Cameron “Big Cam” Boyland, Big & Tall Model and Voice Actor, Brandon Madden, Big & Tall Style Expert, and Creative Director, Steven Green, and Big & Tall Fashion Model, Soouizz Okeke. Sharing the common bond of modeling for Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty plus-size men’s lingerie, these gentlemen came together with a shared objective. They wanted moreopportunities that represented them for more than commercial value, while letting the world know that men of all backgrounds abovesample size are ready to wear luxury clothes. The lack of diversity and inclusion for Big & Tall on the runway during fashion week has been a pain point for many years after being treated as a minority within the industry when in reality; they represent the majority with over 70% of the United States population considered “Plus Size.”The Bigger Picture Press Release https://videopress.com/v/6iuBkKZX?resizeToParent=true&cover=true&preloadContent=metadata&useAverageColor=true NYFW

The Bigger Picture Is Larger Than Ever Before Embracing Diversity and Style
Calling all my Big and Tall brothers, mark your calendars for February 10th! The place to be is right in the heart of Times Square. The fashion world is set to witness a groundbreaking event – the 2nd Annual Bigger Picture Fashion Mob, spearheaded by the visionary founder, Cameron Boyland. The Bigger Picture Is Getting Larger Than Ever Before, a two-day event that will leave you feeling confident and empowered. Don't miss out on the exciting Photoshoot on Friday, February 9th, honoring the one and only Andre Leon Talley. And on February 10th, join us for a captivating PANEL DISCUSSION and a FASHION MOB that you won't want to miss. Address: 601 W 26th St, New York, NY 10001 (Starrett-Lehigh Building) Time: 12:30 PM - 1 PM. The Bigger Picture is attempting to close the fashion gap. "The Bigger Picture," under Boyland's guidance, transcends traditional boundaries by not only redefining men's fashion but also reshaping perceptions about who gets to participate in it. This event is a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and style, and here are five compelling reasons why big and tall men should not miss this extraordinary occasion. The Bigger Picture Is Larger Than Ever Before Embracing Diversity and Style: 5 Reasons Big & Tall Men Should Attend the 2nd Annual Bigger Picture Fashion Mob Breaking Stereotypes: The Bigger Picture Fashion Mob is not just a fashion show; it's a powerful platform challenging long-standing stereotypes in the fashion industry. Historically, the industry has been criticized for its lack of diversity, often favoring a narrow definition of beauty and body types. Cameron Boyland, through "The Bigger Picture," aims to shatter these stereotypes and broaden the definition of style. Big and tall men attending the event will find themselves at the forefront of this movement, contributing to the dismantling of restrictive norms and promoting a more inclusive fashion landscape. Celebrating Size Diversity: In a world where fashion often seems tailored to a specific body size, the Bigger Picture Fashion Mob stands out as a beacon of size diversity. This event embraces and celebrates individuals of all shapes and sizes, allowing big and tall men to revel in their uniqueness. Attendees will witness a runway where every participant, irrespective of their size, is a symbol of empowerment. The Bigger Picture Fashion Mob goes beyond mere representation; it is a celebration of the inherent beauty in diversity, encouraging big and tall men to embrace their bodies with pride. Fashion for Every Body: Cameron Boyland's vision for "The Bigger Picture" is rooted in the belief that fashion should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their body size. The 2nd Annual Fashion Mob at Times Square is a living testament to this ideology. Big and tall men attending the event will be exposed to a curated collection that caters specifically to their needs and desires. This event is not just about observing fashion but actively participating in a movement that aims to make fashion an inclusive experience for every body. Networking Opportunities: Beyond the captivating runway shows, the Bigger Picture Fashion Mob presents an invaluable opportunity for big and tall men to connect with like-minded individuals and influential figures within the fashion industry. Attendees will have the chance to network with designers, stylists, and other fashion enthusiasts who share a passion for breaking barriers in the industry. This networking experience can open doors to collaborations, partnerships, and even pave the way for big and tall men to become influencers and advocates for size inclusivity in fashion. Inspiration for Self-Expression: Attending the Bigger Picture Fashion Mob is not just a spectator sport; it's an invitation for big and tall men to explore their own sense of style and self-expression. Witnessing diverse models confidently strutting down the runway sends a powerful message – fashion is a form of self-expression that knows no size limits.
The event serves as an inspiration for big and tall men to experiment with their style, take risks, and embrace the joy of expressing themselves through clothing. Cameron Boyland's initiative encourages individuals to break free from societal expectations and express their personality through fashion, fostering a community where everyone is free to be themselves. In conclusion, the 2nd Annual Bigger Picture Fashion Mob is more than just a fashion event; it's a movement that challenges norms, promotes inclusivity, and celebrates the beauty of diversity. Big and tall men attending this groundbreaking event will not only witness a spectacular showcase of fashion but actively contribute to the ongoing revolution in the fashion industry. Cameron Boyland's vision is an invitation for everyone, regardless of size, to stand tall and proud in the world of fashion, ultimately creating a bigger picture that is representative of all. It's time that the standard of beauty is challenged...... We as Bigger men deserve be seen and heard in fashion. Diversity , Equity and Inclusion isn't just for the work place. The event is being sponsored by Johnny Bigg and Big Fig Mattress .

Tribe nominated for an award
Last weekend Dwayne Cameron (BRAY) flew out to LA in the USA to attend the GAIT television awards, where the Tribe had been nominated for an award. Dwayne enjoyed being in LA but unfortunately The Tribe didn`t win, but at least it is good to get nominated! The Tribe has received fantastic critical acclaim and there is always the next awards ceremony to look forward to. More news soon…

TRIBE NEWS - 17th December 1999: CHRISTMAS special news!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Tribe!

The Tribe cast and Cloud 9 team have now finished for their Christmas holidays - and production of Tribe 2 will resume from January 7th 2000. We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope you have a nice Christmas break! There are some special Christmas and New Years things to check out on Tribeworld during the Christmas holidays…
Exclusive Christmas/Millennium Downloads
Before the cast left the Cloud 9 production centre for their Christmas holidays, they recorded their thoughts about Christmas and the Millennium/New Year and these are now available as downloads! The cast were asked: 1. What will they do for the Christmas holidays this year? 2. Is there anything they want for a present? 3. What is the best Christmas gift they have ever given someone? 4. What is the best Christmas gift they have ever received? 5. What is their favourite Christmas song? 6. Do they have a favourite Christmas film? 7. We also asked them to describe a New Zealand Christmas - as fans in Europe may be interested to know that it is SUMMER in New Zealand during Christmas and hot - very different to the winter and cold in Europe during Christmas! 8. What does the Millennium mean to them? You can hear what the cast answered to these questions by visiting the Clips part of the Downloads section, and we hope you enjoy them! There are quicktime and real media versions available for these audio files - and some Christmas pictures too! 11 cast members answered - Ashwath Sundaresan (DAL), Ari Boyland (KC), Antonia Prebble (TRUDY), Caleb Ross (LEX), Dwayne Cameron (BRAY), Ryan Runciman (RYAN), Victoria Spence (SALENE), Meryl Cassie (EBONY), Sarah Major (PATSY), Jennyfer Jewell (ELLIE) and Jaimee Kaire-Gataulu (CLOE). Other members of cast could not answer due to their filming schedules on Tribe Series 2.

Christmas Holiday Video downloads
We also have four video downloads available when the cast answered the following questions: 1. What is Christmas like for the Tribe cast in New Zealand? 2. Who gets the most fan mail out of the Tribe cast? 3. Do you have a message for users of Tribeworld? 4. What happens in Series 2 - can you give a sneaky preview? You can watch these four video downloads by visiting the Clips part of the Downloads section, and we hope you enjoy them! There are quicktime versions available.

The Fan Club staff will collect and file all letters and emails but you will not hear back from the cast until January. A lucky winner picked out of the hat will receive a GRAND PRIZE of a visit to New Zealand to meet the Tribe - and see where the Tribe is filmed, and meet the makers of the show. The prize winner might even star in the Tribe - fancy being a Loco? This is a once in a lifetime trip (New Zealand viewers based out of Wellington may be interested in the chance to fly to Wellington to meet the Tribe cast and see the studio). So far we have had over 50 prize-winners of competitions on the Tribeworld site and Fan Club. By January, there will be over 60 prize-winners (when we announce the winners of the new Christmas competition and competition in the CLUB section). Someone will win the prize - and to be in with a chance, just enter one of the Tribeworld and Fan Club competitions! What`s up? - the Chat Room is! Yes, it`s true! If you visit Tribe Talk there are now two ways to chat with other fans and viewers around the world: a new Chat Room offers live and instantaneous chat. The existing Bulletin Board enables messages to be posted and replies made, and all messages on the Bulletin Board are saved. In the New Year, cast memebrs will be appearing live and exclusive on the Chat Room AND the Bulletin Board. In the meantme, we hope you enjoy Tribe Talking! For viewers in the UK - Don`t forget the first back-story episode on Boxing Day As a reminder as we know many of you can`t wait to see what happens, Channel 5 in the UK will be broadcasting the first of the back-story episodes in Tribe Series 2 on Boxing Day 26th December. The episode to be broadcast is a special that looks at how Bray, Trudy, Zoot and Ebony lived in the days before the virus - and how Zoot became Zoot, as well as a few surprises. There are some sneaky preview pictures in the Pre-Tribe section of Tribeworld.

TRIBE SERIES 2 – LATEST REPORT – Week 18
Production of Tribe Series 2 entered its 18th week of principal photography from Monday 6th December 1999, with the production now reaching the 87th day of shooting. As with previous weeks there has been a fair bit of exterior location shooting, with about half of last week being shot on location. Luckily the weather has held up quite well when the shooting has been outside. Locations filmed included a farm, barns, fields, city buildings, city streets, a dance hall, factory, car park and a shopping mall. The furthest location was 22 kms from the production centre and takes about 20 – 25 minutes to drive to. One day of shooting involved live rats in the scene (yuck!). The animal wranglers also had dogs, goats, chickens, pigs, a lamb and a sheep to look after for different scenes.

The location photo for this week is a shot taken last week during a scene between Ellie (JENNYFER JEWELL) and Ryan (RYAN RUNCIMAN) that was set in the city. Most of the cast members have had school exams in the last couple of weeks too and have been revising and sitting exams between shooting on Tribe Series 2. During the week, all the cast also had rehearsals to practice choreography and their routines for a performance on Saturday 4th December to a packed out concert in Wellington. The cast rehearsed "Abe Messiah" and "This is the place". The earliest pick-up of the week was 5.55am for Jennyfer Jewell who plays Ellie. The latest wrap time was 8.15pm for Dwayne Cameron and Ari Boyland. Some of the props used were flowers, hair clips, garden tools, mechanical tools, cider casks, a wheelbarrow, rat cage, bottles, glasses, smoke, sellotape, carpentry tools, rope, building plans, drawings, mirrors, bar equipment, cups of coffee, party clothes, mortar and pestle, an amulet, fruit and vegetables, market stalls, tables, chairs, tokens, posters, water bottles, a bottle of pills, rat food, a computer and puppets. The weather for the 17th week of Principal Photography (Monday 29th November to Friday 3rd December 1999) was as follows: Monday - Cloudy, showers clearing. Tuesday - Morning cloud with showers clearing. Southerlies easing. Wednesday - Mainly fine with northerly winds. Cloud increasing in the afternoon and rain in the evening. Thursday - Morning cloud clearing, becoming fine. Friday - Cloud increasing, with rain.

TRIBE SERIES 2 - LATEST REPORT - Week 16
Production of Tribe Series 2 entered its 16th week of principal photography from Monday 22nd November 1999, with the production now reaching the 77th day of shooting. There has been much location based shooting with exterior scenes recently with the range of locations including city streets, a dance hall, a beach, a golf course, a go-kart area, parks, barracks, an obstacle course, farms, barns, fields, the countryside, a car park, and a shopping mall. The furthest location was about 24 kilometers from the Cloud 9 production centre.

One of the locations above was a barracks and an obstacle army assault course. In the Tribe? Yes. Because these locations are part of the scenes that follow a back-story set before the virus and before the Tribe that involves Lex and Ryan and shows their first meeting and how their friendship developed. We have got a picture above that was taken on shooting from the location in New Zealand on Friday 19th November and shows Lex and Ryan as you have never seen them before! There will be more info in the near future about this in the Pre-Tribe section under GUIDE. Reflecting the diverse range of locations recently, some props used have included street cleaning equipment, shovels, brooms, buckets, rubble, swings, flashing lights, a searchlight, glasses, smoke, bottles, bar stools, flasks, microphones, lipstick, wildflowers, chairs, crash mats, rucksacks, a gameboy, security system, newsletters, and jewelry! The animal wranglers have been taking care of animal actors including dogs, sheep, pigs, hens, mice, and chickens. On the weekend, the cast enjoyed relaxing and some cast members spent time with their family. Others went out to the cinema on Friday evening. On Saturday 20th November, the cast still went into costume and wardrobe and make-up much like a normal day - even though it was a Saturday. And the reason? The cast were making an appearance in the Christmas Parade held in Wellington New Zealand. There was a special Tribe float that was centred around the Locos` Police Car. Members of cast who were in the parade included Danny James (ZOOT), Meryl Cassie (EBONY), Michelle Ang (TAI-SAN), Dwayne Cameron (BRAY), Ari Boyland (KC), Sarah Major (PATSY), Ashwath Sundaresan (DAL), Ella Wilks (DANNI), and Vanessa Stacey (ALICE). There were also members of Locos who skated around. The Tribe had a great reaction from crowds watching the parade and last year there were over 100,000 people who watched and at least the same turned out on Saturday! On Saturday evening there was the annual New Zealand Television Awards also in Wellington and Meryl Cassie (EBONY) was one of the hosts who presented an award for the comedy category of programming. The weather in the 15th week of principal photography (Monday 15th November - Friday 22nd November) was: Monday - dry, northerly winds Tuesday - dry, winds, few drizzly patches at night Wednesday - mostly cloudy, windy with drizzly rain Thursday - rain, northerly winds easing. Southerly winds and showers later. Friday - showers clearing, northwest winds
