Afroblue Festival 2025 presenta su cartel completo

La lista que inauguraron hace unos días The Cinelli Brothers y London Afrobeat Collective se completa ahora con nombres de la talla de Pajaro Sunrise , Freedonia , Wolfgang Valbrun , Capyac y muchos más.

El festival referencia de las músicas afroamericanas, blues, jazz, funk y afrobeat, vuelve a Segovia con una cuarta edición que se celebrará los días 6 y 7 de junio en el Jardín de Los Zuloaga. Los abonos ya están a la venta.

Los primeros días de marzo han tenido lugar en diferentes ciudades las fiestas de presentación del Festival, en las cuales unos entusiasmados asistentes han podido conocer en primicia el cartel completo al mismo tiempo que disfrutaban de la energía y el blues de Doghouse Sam & his Magnatones en concierto. Todo un aperitivo de lujo para esta edición 2025 que dejaba al público con ganas de mucho más.

En 2022 , las músicas afroamericanas tomaron la ciudad de Segovia con un nuevo festival: Afroblue, que se ha convertido ya en el encuentro de referencia para los amantes del sonido jazz, funk, blues, soul . Cuatro años después, el 6 y 7 de junio celebramos una nueva edición con el objetivo de volver a llenar esta ciudad de amantes de la buena música. Su ubicación, en el Jardín de Los Zuloaga, hace que sea, además, un festival con un valor cultural privilegiado.

A los primeros confirmados para este 2025, los británicos The Cinelli Brothers y la London Afrobeat Collective , ahora se suman otras propuestas, tanto nacionales como internacionales, que convierten esta edición en un evento imprescindible. Nombres de la talla y el nivel de reconocimiento de Pajaro Sunrise , Freedonia , Wolfgang Valbrun , Capyac, Mirla Riomar, Joel, Hendrik Röver & Los Míticos GTs, Corcs Drums & Organ completan un cartel muy variado en cuanto a estilos y procedencias que se reunirá en Segovia a lo más destacado del panorama actual de las músicas afroamericanas.

Los abonos para la nueva edición de Afroblue Festival ya están disponibles . Además, en esta edición se mantiene firme en su apuesta por un público diverso y familiar, facilitando el acceso gratuito a menores de diecisiete años (incluidos) y ofreciendo precios reducidos a los asistentes de hasta veinticuatro años

First Annual Future Sounds Festival Celebrates Soul at the Historic Baker Street Viaduct

The Viaduct is one of the oldest thoroughfares in the city, with a long history, especially relative to LA’s short memory. It is practically a living venue, constantly changing moods as the sun sets and as the energy of the crowd grows. The Metro zipped by throughout the night, which was just another indication of the community we formed that night. We pay homage to the city when we celebrate in such a historic place, and it shouldn’t take a (hopefully annual!) music fest to remember. After a weekend like this one, with two mass shootings occurring within twenty-four hours, it is more imperative than ever that we remember to hold our friends tight, even if we’ve just met.

Capyac is an Austin-based electro-funk duo who draw heavily on disco rhythms to create a mid-tempo dance vibe.  Last year their set included a psychedelic light show, a live sax player, and a female rapper dressed in silver tinsel.  Yes, Capyac is a little out there – check out the dancing CGI aliens in the video for their new song “Talk About.”  The band also dropped a new four song EP in 2017, “FIS,” so expect new music that should get your toes tapping, and maybe a wacky surprise or two from this always creative, boundary pushing group. So we have finally reached the end of 2017 and I myself have listened to quite a few songs throughout the year. This is my personal list of songs that I felt were the best and made a little playlist. I know some of these songs are part of an album that have not been released yet but the single themselves were technically released this year and thoroughly enjoyed. Also for this list you might not see all the radio hit favorites and I’ve limited to one song from one particular Artist/Band. Talk About’s wonky pop vivacity is the perfect summer treat that leaves us ready to strut with aplomb down a beach as the sun sets. The perky grooving, whimsically charming funk pop and indie dance jam comes from Austin duo CAPYAC, who’ve also just shared a music video for the cheeky, flirty gem. A copious dose of frisky future funk dresses up this suave tune. Talk About is a taste from CAPYAC’s debut full length, which you can support on Kickstarter, here.
