ik I'm late to the party but omg.... abram boyd.... I'm sobbing that's so sweet 😭😭 pls tell me more about them
AHHH THANK YOU I LOVE HIM
Abram has certified protective big brother energy, but since he isn’t a big brother this goes to his girl friends at college instead. Palmetto is a safe campus, but he (and Elliot by association) still always end up getting their girl friends back to the dorms safely no matter what. I’m talking if two of their friends are fucked up before he even gets there he will leave the bar 10 minutes in just to get them home and then come BACK. (this is based on my sisters friend at lsu and it’s so wholesome)
Abram’s relationship with Neil is interesting bc he’s growing up as Neil is traveling in the pros in his late 20’s. However, Neil visits whenever it’s convenient and once he gets in the groove of this whole godfather thing he treats Abram like he’s his uncle bc he sees how Andrew is with Aaron’s girls. He keeps up with his schedule when he starts playing little leagues and makes Dan send pictures. She sends first day of school updates and a picture of a little Abram missing his two front teeth.
Abram gets a Josten Court jersey and wears it until it stinks. He gets new ones when he outgrows them. By his third one Matt gets him a huge one to grow into as a grown man. He does indeed grow into it.
Neil sends him post cards with a little letters written inside when he’s 4 and Abram loves it so much that Dan facetime’s Neil like 2 weeks after he got the first one but it’s just Abram’s face all up in the camera. “When will I get anover wetter, uncle Neil?” “Oh!” instant delight “It must still be in the mail, buddy, but just keep an eye on the mailbox, okay?” “Okay… do you wanna see your wetter?! I put it on my wall, uncle Neil!”
Neil is the first to start calling him B, firstly bc calling someone else Abram is something he has to get used to. Secondly because Abram acknowledges it as Neil’s nickname and stubbornly doesn’t let anyone else call him it.
Matt retires from exy at like 32 when Abram is 3. Matt’s exy team loyalties lie where his friends are at, so Matt, Jace, and Abram make it a thing to watch every game. Abram can’t keep track of Neil is and gets frustrated by it. Matt mentions it while laughing, two games later Neil has the butt of his stick wrapped in orange. After that Abram keeps saying, “Ope, there’s uncle Neil again …. There’s- I see orange, Daddy! …. There he goes again! …. Look! Uncle Neil!!”
Andrew may have been the one humanizing Neil, but Abram is the one who softens him.
Abram used to hold onto Addie or Annie’s hands and just follow them around at Fox reunions, which got more frequent throughout the years and is why/how the fox kids all got close.
Abram plays minecraft but just creative mode. He likes adventure or sports videogames while his brother likes Call of Duty and whatnot.
BIG lego kid until he’s like 14.
As a teenager, Abram and Neil text so much and talk on the phone a lot. About exy, about French help bc he’s learning it in school, about some fantasy show that Abram somehow got Neil into, about sports and college applications and when he can come visit again. And then about who these new kids in Neil’s house are and are they gonna stay a while? should we add them to the cousin gc? hey how’s elliot doing? and hey can you send me elliot’s number? and if i’m doing all this hard work to keep the strikers away the least our strikers could do is do something with the ball i keep getting to them, anyway, are you guys bringing blake and elliot to thanksgiving? i’m excited to meet them. and i know ur gonna be weird if i ask you about guys but im pretty sure i have a crush on one and im kinda freaking out and im scared to tell my parents and-
Matt is so loving when he comes out to him and Dan, hugging Abram really tight and just telling him he loves him and he’s so proud of him and Abram cries a little.
The first time he kisses a boy (bc crushes are only from afar) it’s freshman year of college and it’s because he starts looking at Elliot too often for too long and needs to get that shit out of his head bc that’s his best friend.
Abram has lunch with Dan like twice a month because she tries to stay out of his hair since she’s the exy coach at PSU.
When he and Elliot get together he finds he loves to wrap Elliot up in his clothes.
Elliot goes to all of his home games with their friends and cheers obnoxiously. Abram loves it. He also… fucks Elliot while he wears his soccer jersey.
He is definitely a gentle giant, but once he and Elliot get together he throws that boy AROUND in the bedroom.
there’s a lot more about him but i hope that’s good for tonight hehe

That's great, but how does this work when federal contractors and universities with massive federal grant dollars are still following a racialist and, in some cases, racist agenda? Trump's executive order, as it turns out, is much more than an attack on DEI in government; it is a declaration of war against DEI anywhere. Federal contractors must certify they do not adhere to DEI as a condition of holding contracts. (iv)   The head of each agency shall include in every contract or grant award: (A)  A term requiring the contractual counterparty or grant recipient to agree that its compliance in all respects with all applicable Federal anti-discrimination laws is material to the government’s payment decisions for purposes of section 3729(b)(4) of title 31, United States Code; and (B)  A term requiring such counterparty or recipient to certify that it does not operate any programs promoting DEI that violate any applicable Federal anti-discrimination laws. Further into the executive order, you find this assignment given to the federal bureaucracy. (b) To further inform and advise me so that my Administration may formulate appropriate and effective civil-rights policy, the Attorney General, within 120 days of this order, in consultation with the heads of relevant agencies and in coordination with the Director of OMB, shall submit a report to the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy containing recommendations for enforcing Federal civil-rights laws and taking other appropriate measures to encourage the private sector to end illegal discrimination and preferences, including DEI. The report shall contain a proposed strategic enforcement plan identifying:
(i)    Key sectors of concern within each agency’s jurisdiction; (ii)   The most egregious and discriminatory DEI practitioners in each sector of concern; (iii)  A plan of specific steps or measures to deter DEI programs or principles (whether specifically denominated “DEI” or otherwise) that constitute illegal discrimination or preferences.  As a part of this plan, each agency shall identify up to nine potential civil compliance investigations of publicly traded corporations, large non-profit corporations or associations, foundations with assets of 500 million dollars or more, State and local bar and medical associations, and institutions of higher education with endowments over 1 billion dollars; (iv)   Other strategies to encourage the private sector to end illegal DEI discrimination and preferences and comply with all Federal civil-rights laws; (v)    Litigation that would be potentially appropriate for Federal lawsuits, intervention, or statements of interest; and (vi)   Potential regulatory action and sub-regulatory guidance.
Read that carefully. Trump anticipates targeting DEI for civil rights violations. He also requires "each agency shall identify up to nine potential civil compliance investigations of publicly traded corporations, large non-profit corporations or associations, foundations with assets of 500 million dollars or more, State and local bar and medical associations, and institutions of higher education with endowments over 1 billion dollars." When you consider the number of federal agencies, this is nothing less than an all-out effort to eradicate DEI. Couple this with a changed legal environment (Affirmative Action Has a Very Rough, No Good Day at the Supreme Court – RedState), and there is a real possibility that businesses, universities, and non-profits will have to choose between DEI and federal funds.
About damn time.

The Job Board system, which in terms of overseeing tends to fall somewhere between the Explorer's Association and the mail service, is a system that allows bugs across Bugaria to send off jobs to any bug who might take them. It is known primarily for its incredible efficiency at copying and posting jobs throughout Bugaria, as well as its ability to take down jobs that have been completed within a day of their fulfillment.
Just about any bug can post a mission through this system, with some light checks to make sure it's legitimate, and just about anyone can take a mission - with some caveats. The more difficult a mission is marked as, the more likely you are to need to show some proof of ability- occasionally very eclectic proof of ability. While an Explorer's Permit can allow you to shortcut almost all low-end requirements, anyone who isn't registered in the system will have to repeatedly prove aptitude for low-end jobs, which can get exceptionally annoying very fast, particularly as the Job Board and publicly accessible jobs tend to be almost exclusively to the low end of things.
Technically an extension of the Job Board system, the Bounty Board handles a lot of relatively high-paying jobs, often put up using communally-raised funds rather than a single person. While the Job Board gathers jobs of comparatively low importance, and allows them to be taken by anyone, the Bounty Board is specifically for jobs that are anticipated to be difficult enough to need a whole crew of bugs.
The requirements to run an outpost of a bounty board are significantly more rigorous than the standard job board, as applicants going after these jobs are much more rigorously vetted - an Explorer's Permit will often serve as a way to help you shortcut the line, putting all of your prior accomplishments in easy reach and allowing the certified offices that run these jobs to make an easy background check on you.
Alternatively, of course, some less legitimate venues can piggyback off the certification of an actual office, pretending to be another location and allowing you to shortcut the entire certification process to obtain the reward without having to prove your capability to do a job. Technically speaking, jobs taken in Doppel's tavern will show up as being taken from the bounty board office run by Utter - though this establishment doesn't technically have a physical location.
Unlike with a typical bounty board mission, you also get paid up front upon providing a specified part of the slain monster, rather than having to wait for the kingdom you're working in to certify the danger is gone before wiring you your reward. Also unlike with a typical bounty board mission, the house will take a certain cut of your reward. These venues may also take "unofficial" bounties - organized by parties who can't or won't go through the official venues to get a problem handled, or simply by people who are hunting for specific parts of a monster. You won't be tested as thoroughly before taking the job- but your client won't be, either.

Medicine is a numbers game. I use probability all the time. If you don't understand probability, you'll look at someone with chest pain and have no fucking clue how likely it is that you're looking at a heart attack. You may not even know what the other top contenders are. GERD is common. Anxiety. An angry rib muscle. Lots of options. Most of the time, most chest pain won't be a heart attack, but sometime it'll be something worse--an aortic dissection that's rupturing will kill you even faster than most heart attacks.
I see so many patients who come in with a symptom that the Internet, whether Google or influencers, has told them is associated with this one thing. It's often the thyroid. And yeah! A fucked-up thyroid can cause all kinds of symptoms. But here's the deal: if I check your thyroid and it looks normal, it's probably not your thyroid that's causing the symptoms. It could be something else we understand. It is very often something we don't understand. But the fact that I can tell you modern medicine doesn't understand some process doesn't mean your naturopath or chiropractor or Certified Hormone Expert Influencer does understand it because they have this different way of looking at the body. Look, long, long before I wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to be an herbalist. I'm queer, I'm a woman(ish), I am neurodivergent, I am not The Man. I'm not beholden to the system; the system doesn't care for me and wishes I would sit down and shut up, most days. And I have a background in research science and statistics. I used to have a rubber stamp that said "Denied" and one that said "Approved" and I'd hit piles of paper for research applications at an R-1 university, in triplicate, with my stamps, because I understood research well enough to get a Human Subjects Division job evaluating it. If a naturopathic approach to thyroid worked well, I would be doing it. I'm a utilitarian. I don't give a rat's ass about the theoretical underpinnings of modern medical practice, I want things to work. Ideally I would like to know why they work, too, but hey, we can't always have it all.
So the dozens of patients I get every month who are looking elsewhere for answers, looking to people who don't actually know any better but are good at pretending they do, who pay money for elaborate supplement regimens or unvalidated genetic tests or (my personal least favorite) "memory-improving games," I have to be calm and professional and diplomatic about what I say. I can't say, "That's quack shit." I can't say, "Your favorite influencer is a liar and an idiot." Not just because I'd get lower patient satisfaction scores, but because patients wouldn't believe me, and they would reactively like me less and the other guy more. (You're calling me stupid? You're saying I wasted money? If I believe you're just a shill for Big Pharma, that hurts less.)
It takes years, even decades, to understand how to put together the probability maps. Chest pain in a patient under 40? Highly unlikely to be a myocardial infarction, but not totally impossible, especially if they've been doing cocaine. In a patient over 60? Much more likely. Is the pain crushing? Is it sub-sternal? How long has it been going on? Is it constant, or intermittent? Does the patient smoke? What other health conditions does the patient have? These are all deeply important questions, and I remember feeling overwhelmed by things like this all the time in medical school. It's taken so long to build my knowledge, and my background in research is only tangentially valuable most of the time.
Please don't believe authority just because it looks good. Don't trust people because you want to trust them. Learn about the scientific process, learn how the sausage gets made, and then you'll be in an infinitely better position to know whether this is a "wow! science!!!" or a "wow! science bullshit!" moment.

How does the US election work?
The winner of the election is determined through a system called the electoral college.
What is the electoral college and how does it work?
Each of the 50 states, plus Washington DC, is given a number of electoral college votes, adding up to a total of 538 votes. More populous states get more electoral college votes than smaller ones.
A candidate needs to win 270 electoral college votes (50% plus one) to win the election.
In every state except two – Maine and Nebraska – the candidate that gets the most votes wins all of the state’s electoral college votes.
Electoral college votes correspond to electors from each state. These electors vote directly for the president, based on the results in the general election in their state. In early January, following the presidential election, Congress convenes in a joint session to count and certify the electoral votes.
How do people vote in the US election?
Elections in the US are administered by each state. Whether by mail-in ballots or voting in person on election day, people effectively vote in 51 mini-elections in the presidential election.
Due to the electoral college rules, a candidate can win the election without getting the most votes at the national level. This happened in 2016, when Trump won a majority of electoral college votes although more people voted for Hillary Clinton across the US.
A handful of races are run with a ranked choice voting system, whereby voters can rank candidates in their order of preference. If no candidate gets more than 50% of the vote, then the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated and their supporters’ votes will be counted for their next choice. The Guardian has marked these elections where applicable above, and shows the results of the final result with redistributed votes.
How are the votes counted?
Vote verification and counting involves many processes to ensure oversight and security, and it runs before, during and after election day.
As soon as the polls close, local precincts count the ballots cast in person on election day, alongside any absentee or mail-in ballots that have been verified. Processes vary by state, but typically this involves verifying mail-in voter signatures and ensuring ballots are properly filled out. Provisional ballots, used when there are questions about a voter’s eligibility, are set aside for later verification.
Verified ballots are then counted, usually digitally but in some cases manually. The counts are then transmitted to county election offices for aggregation and verification.
This process involves thousands of local election officials who are either appointed or elected, depending on the state. Partisan and nonpartisan observers can monitor vote counting.
State election authorities then compile the county-level results and, after another round of verification, certify the final results.
Results are communicated through media – the Guardian receives results data from the Associated Press.
Official results can take days or weeks to be fully finalised. This is often because of the verification process of absentee, mail-in and provisional ballots. In some states, mail-in ballots can be received and counted several days after election day. High voter turnouts and potential recounts in close races can also slow down results publication.
How are the results reported?
The election results on this page are reported by the Associated Press (AP). AP “call” the winner in a state when they determine that the trailing candidate has no path to victory. This can happen before 100% of votes in a state have been counted.
Estimates for the total vote in each state are also provided by AP. The numbers update throughout election night and in the following days, as more data on voter turnout becomes available.

Powder Coating Metal: The Ultimate Guide to Superior Metal Finishing Solutions
Powder coating metal has revolutionised the way industries approach surface finishing, offering unparalleled durability and aesthetic appeal that traditional liquid paints simply cannot match. This advanced finishing technique involves applying dry powder particles electrostatically to metal surfaces, creating a protective barrier that withstands harsh environmental conditions whilst maintaining exceptional visual quality.
Understanding the Powder Coating Process
The powder coating metal process begins with thorough surface preparation, typically involving sandblasting or chemical cleaning to ensure optimal adhesion. Metal components are then suspended in a spray booth where electrostatically charged powder particles are applied using specialised spray guns. The electrostatic charge ensures even distribution and attracts powder particles to every surface contour, eliminating common issues like runs, sags, and drips associated with conventional painting methods.
Exceptional Durability and Performance
When powder coating metal surfaces, the curing process creates a chemical bond that delivers superior resistance to chipping, scratching, fading, and corrosion. Unlike traditional paint systems, powder coated finishes maintain their integrity for decades, making them ideal for automotive components, outdoor furniture, architectural applications, and industrial equipment. The thickness uniformity achieved through powder coating ensures consistent protection across complex geometries and hard-to-reach areas.
Environmental and Economic Advantages
Powder coating metal processes offer significant environmental benefits compared to solvent-based alternatives. The system produces virtually no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), contributing to cleaner air quality and regulatory compliance. Additionally, overspray powder can be reclaimed and reused, achieving utilisation rates exceeding 95% and substantially reducing material waste. These factors combine to create compelling cost savings whilst supporting sustainability objectives.
Versatile Applications Across Industries
The versatility of powder coating metal extends across numerous sectors, from architectural ironwork requiring weather resistance to precision engineering components demanding chemical compatibility. Automotive manufacturers utilise powder coating for chassis components, wheels, and trim pieces, whilst appliance producers rely on this technology for durable, easy-to-clean surfaces. The extensive colour palette and texture options available enable designers to achieve specific aesthetic requirements without compromising performance.
Quality Considerations and Best Practices
Successful powder coating metal requires careful attention to substrate preparation, powder selection, and curing parameters. Professional application ensures proper film thickness, typically ranging from 25-100 microns depending on performance requirements. Certified applicators understand the critical relationship between metal type, powder chemistry, and cure conditions necessary to achieve optimal adhesion and longevity.
Choosing Professional Powder Coating Services
When selecting powder coating metal services, evaluate facilities based on equipment capabilities, quality certifications, and track record with similar applications. Why Should Organizations Choose RPA Managed Services Over In-House Automation?
In the current business world, time is a very valuable resource, and the work flow depends on efficiency. Automation, especially through Robotics Process Automation, has proven to become more functional in enabling a reduction of excessive human interventions. Even if it is wise to develop an in-house automation team, there are key benefits associated with managed RPA services that explain why organizations should seek the help of the latter.
Tumblr media
Here's why more and more organizations are choosing external expertise for their RPA needs:
Faster Implementation and Time-to-Value: Developing an effective Centre of Excellence for RPA services demands a substantial amount of time, and a lot of effort goes into recruitment activities, training, and infrastructure development. The implementation of IT management services is more efficient with MSPs as they already have the knowledge and tools in place, so it is faster to gain a return on investment. According to data gathered from numerous industries, first-order automation gains through engaging managed services run approximately 40% better than those achieved by setting up in-house centers of excellence.
Access to Specialized Skills and Experience: Today RPA services is a rapidly developing industry. Managed service providers employ teams of certified professionals with diverse experience across various industries and RPA service platforms. They also provide access to best practice ideas, new and improved techniques, and niche solutions for particular types of business, aspects which cannot easily or inexpensively be duplicated in-house. Data collected using the current survey shows that 65% of the companies are outsourcing RPA with a primary motivation to access specialized skills.
Cost Efficiency and Predictable Expenses: On the other hand, although in-house automation becomes cheaper in the long run, the upfront cost of personnel hiring and training, software purchase, and maintenance is considerably high and variable. Managed services are given on a subscription basis, and this factor eliminates the element of uncertainty, resulting in lower costs. Researches also indicate that outsourcing of RPA services may make the costs to be decreased by about 30% lower than if it was to be done internally.
Scalability and Flexibility: Business needs fluctuate. Managed RPA services permit the demand for capacity for automation to be adjusted according to the requirements, and is not restricted just like the hiring of employees or purchasing more equipment that is required for permanent automation services. This is important for meeting the ever-changing market needs and the growth of the business. There is information that organizations cooperating with managed services enjoy 25% more freedom in scaling up their automation processes.
Focus on Core Business Activities: Outsourcing an RPA project creates the need for an in-house in-IT team to run and maintain the project away from its core business functions. For this reason, when one hires the services of an MSP, internal teams are relieved of handling tasks that can otherwise be tedious and time-consuming, leaving them time to work on more pressing issues for the organization, such as business development. In another view, outsourcing of RPA, like other non-core businesses, can enhance organizational focus by about 50%.
Continuous Support and Maintenance: However, for the RPA application to gain an adequate amount of functionality, it has to be monitored, maintained, and updated over time. Another benefit of MSP is availability of workforce support on such tasks as this relieves internal IT and the business. However, the total availability of RPA services can be enhanced to the optimum level as some of RPA services providers have an availability of 99.9% in some cases.
Selecting the right partner is, therefore, essential when engaging in RPA services. Different organizations that provide RPA services are Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Suma Soft, Infosys, and Wipro. Assessing the competence, the years of experience and services they offered will assist before choosing the appropriate service provider that will meet the needs of your organization for the future automation plans.

F1's DC/AC: Assault & Battery
Formula 1 teams source batteries for their power units, specifically the Energy Store (ES) component, from specialized manufacturers and in-house development, driven by the sport’s stringent performance and safety requirements. The disposal of used batteries follows strict regulations to ensure environmental responsibility, given their hazardous materials. Below is a detailed breakdown:
Sourcing of Batteries for Formula 1 Power Units
Specialized Battery Manufacturers:
Companies like Saft, a leader in high-performance batteries, have historically supplied F1 teams with lithium-ion batteries for the Energy Recovery System (ERS). Saft’s experience, including work on defense projects like the Lockheed Martin F-35, has been adapted for F1’s extreme conditions.
About:Energy, a battery testing and software specialist, collaborates with F1 teams to develop and optimize battery performance through simulation and testing, focusing on power density and degradation.
Other suppliers, such as Marelli, provide components like the Motor Generator Unit (MGU) and associated battery systems, tailoring designs to team specifications.
In-House Development by Power Unit Manufacturers:
Major power unit suppliers—Mercedes, Ferrari, Honda, Audi, and Red Bull Powertrains (with Ford)—often develop batteries in-house or in close partnership with specialists. For example:
Mercedes High Performance Powertrains (HPP) in Brixworth, UK, integrates battery development into its power unit program, leveraging expertise from the turbo-hybrid era.
Ferrari designs its own batteries in Maranello, aligning with its power unit strategy to supply its factory team and customers like Haas and Cadillac.
Honda has advanced lightweight battery designs, achieving significant weight reductions (up to 5kg) for performance gains.
These manufacturers work with advanced lithium-ion chemistries, optimizing for high power density (up to 350kW in 2026 regulations) and energy recovery (up to 9MJ per lap).
Collaborative Innovation:
Teams and suppliers push boundaries in battery chemistry and design, exploring formats like cylindrical, pouch, or prismatic cells to balance energy density, weight (20-25kg regulatory limit), and packaging within the chassis.
Emerging technologies, such as solid-state batteries, are under consideration for future F1 applications, offering potential improvements in lifetime and energy density.
Partnerships with academic institutions, like Imperial College London, aid in refining battery performance for motorsport.
Regulatory Compliance:
Batteries must meet FIA safety standards, including UN38.3 for lithium-ion transport and crash test requirements to prevent dangerous reactions. These regulations influence sourcing decisions, as only certified suppliers can meet such demands.
The FIA’s 2026 regulations, emphasizing a 50/50 power split between internal combustion and electric systems, have spurred investment in battery development, attracting new manufacturers like Audi and Ford.
Disposal of Used Batteries
Regulatory Limits on Battery Usage:
FIA rules limit teams to a set number of Energy Stores per season (currently four, reducing to two in future seasons) to control costs and environmental impact. Exceeding this incurs grid penalties, incentivizing durable designs.
Batteries are designed to withstand intense charge-discharge cycles (10-15 per lap, depending on the circuit), but degradation over a season necessitates replacement.
Recycling and Disposal Processes:
Hazardous Material Handling: Lithium-ion batteries contain chemicals that pose environmental risks if mishandled. F1 teams, operating under EU and international regulations, partner with certified recycling facilities to manage disposal. The EU Battery Directive (2006/66/EC) mandates recycling to recover materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel.
Specialized Recycling Partners: Companies like Umicore and Redwood Materials (common in automotive sectors) recycle lithium-ion batteries, extracting valuable metals for reuse in new batteries or other applications. While F1-specific partnerships are not publicly detailed, teams likely use similar services given the high-value materials involved.
Closed-Loop Systems: Some manufacturers, like Saft, integrate recycling into their supply chains, repurposing materials from used batteries to reduce waste and costs. This aligns with F1’s push for sustainability, including 100% sustainable fuels by 2026.
Repurposing: Degraded F1 batteries, which no longer meet the sport’s performance demands, may be repurposed for less demanding applications, such as energy storage systems or testing rigs, before final recycling. This practice is common in motorsport and automotive industries.
Environmental Considerations:
The FIA and F1 emphasize sustainability, with initiatives like sustainable fuels and increased hybrid efficiency reducing the sport’s carbon footprint. Battery disposal is part of this, with teams required to adhere to strict environmental protocols.
The high energy density and specialized chemistry of F1 batteries (100-275Wh/kg) make recycling complex but critical to avoid landfill waste and comply with regulations.
Challenges and Innovations:
The 2026 regulations, increasing battery power to 350kW and energy recovery to 9MJ per lap, will intensify battery wear, raising disposal frequency. Teams are exploring chemistries that minimize degradation to extend battery life and reduce waste.
Research into fast-charging and durable batteries aims to lower the environmental impact by reducing the need for oversized batteries, which add weight and disposal burdens.
Critical Notes
Limited Public Data: Exact suppliers and disposal partners for each team are closely guarded due to F1’s competitive nature. Information is often proprietary, with teams like Ferrari and Mercedes only broadly acknowledging in-house or specialist involvement.
Sustainability Push: F1’s commitment to net-zero by 2030 drives innovation in battery recycling and sustainable sourcing, but the sport’s high-performance demands create unique challenges compared to road-car battery systems.
Speculative Future: Solid-state batteries or alternative chemistries could reduce disposal issues by offering longer lifespans, but these are not yet standard in F1.
In summary, F1 teams source batteries from elite suppliers like Saft and through in-house programs at manufacturers like Mercedes and Ferrari, focusing on cutting-edge lithium-ion technology. Used batteries are recycled through specialized facilities to recover materials, aligning with environmental regulations and F1’s sustainability goals. The lack of specific team-by-team disposal data reflects the sport’s secrecy, but industry-standard practices provide a reliable framework.

French minister Aurore Bergé on Sunday accused the US embassy in Paris of trying to "impose a diktat" on French businesses after local media reported that companies had received a letter from embassy staff calling on them to comply with US President Donald Trump's executive order terminating diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programmes. A French minister on Sunday accused US diplomats of interfering in the operations of French companies by sending them a letter reportedly telling them that US President Donald Trump's rollback of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives could also apply outside of the United States. French media said that the letter received by major French companies was signed by an officer of the US State Department who is on the staff at the US Embassy in Paris. The embassy didn't respond to questions this weekend from The Associated Press. Le Figaro daily newspaper published what it said was a copy of the letter. The document said that an executive order that Trump signed in January terminating DEI programmes within the federal government also “applies to all suppliers and service providers of the US Government, regardless of their nationality and the country in which they operate”. The document asked recipients to complete, sign and return within five days a separate certification form to demonstrate that they are in compliance. That form, also published by Le Figaro, said: “All Department of State contractors must certify that they do not operate any programmes promoting DEI that violate any applicable anti-discrimination laws.”
