Wrestling with Desire
pairing: Seo Changbin x Female Reader
wc: 1.9k
cw: explicit sexual content, unprotected sex, (not proof read)
Minors DNI
Summary: It started as a late-night workout. It ended with you pinned beneath him. You and Changbin are buddies with a little too much competitive energy and a lot of unspoken tension. After hours, the two of you challenge each other to a playful wrestling match at the dorms - just for fun, just to blow off steam. But the moment he’s straddling your hips, panting and smirking down at you, the air shifts.
You’re both on the floor, him sprawled on his back, scrolling through his phone, you leaning against the couch sipping something cold and fizzy. The lights are low. The air conditioner hums. Your body’s tired, but your brain’s still spinning.
Changbin flexes his arm suddenly, lifting it off the floor with an exaggerated grunt. “Damn, I’m so pumped right now.”
You don’t even look over. “Congratulations. You want a medal?”
He glances at you, grin forming. “I want you to admit you’re impressed.”
You roll your eyes. “I’ve seen actual gym bros with less ego than you.”
He grins wider. “I bet you couldn’t even take me in a fight.”
That gets your attention. You slowly turn your head toward him, eyebrow arched. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me.” He shifts up onto his elbows, biceps flexing. “You couldn’t take me down.”
You snort. “Changbin, I could wipe the floor with you.”
He lets out a laugh. “Sure, sweetheart. You’re all talk.”
You rise to your knees, setting your drink down. “Wanna bet?”
He stares at you for a beat, tongue pressing to his cheek like he’s trying not to laugh again, but he sees the challenge in your eyes. And the tension shifts. Just a little. Just enough.
“Alright,” he says, sitting up fully. “You wanna go?”
You’re already up, stretching your arms, cracking your knuckles. “Let’s go.”
He laughs low, rising to his feet. “No backing out.”
“I never do.”
Seconds later, the couch is pushed back, the floor cleared. Bare feet on carpet. Your pulse is steady, but your stomach’s doing that flutter thing you pretend not to notice.
He stands across from you, broad shoulders, loose shirt clinging to his chest, dark eyes fixed on yours.
“Last chance,” he teases, stepping closer. “You gonna run?”
You smirk. “Only if you’re chasing.”
That does something to him. His grin falters for half a second, then he lunges.
You duck, twist, and shove, almost catch him off guard. Almost.
He growls playfully, grabs you by the waist, and you’re both laughing as you crash onto the floor in a tangled mess of limbs and low curses.
“Cheap shot!” you shout.
“Smart shot,” he pants back, already trying to pin your wrists.
You wriggle beneath him, rolling over, pushing up, legs wrapping around his waist in a half-assed chokehold that might be effective if you weren’t also pressed against every hard inch of his body.
And that’s when it hits.
The stillness. The closeness. His breath, hot against your jaw. His chest, rising and falling against yours. Your hips, god, your hips, slotted together like puzzle pieces you shouldn’t be touching.
Neither of you move.
You swallow. He stares down at you, gaze flicking from your eyes to your lips.
“Call it a draw?” you breathe.
He shifts his hips, presses into you, just enough.
Your breath hitches.
“No chance,” he whispers.
Your wrists are caught above your head, pinned by strong hands and the sheer weight of him. His palms are warm, a little rough, fingers curled tight enough to hold, but not hurt. He could let go. You know that. But he doesn’t.
And you don’t ask him to.
Your breath comes shallow now, chest rising and falling against his. There’s barely space between you, just enough for heat and friction and the rapid thrum of your heart. His thigh is wedged between yours, thick and solid, keeping you parted, helpless in a way that you’re starting to like far too much.
Changbin is still. He hasn’t moved since pinning you, but you can feel the shift in him. That barely restrained tension in his arms. The rise in his chest. The subtle tightening of his jaw as his eyes roam across your face, down to your mouth. Lingering.
You wet your lips without thinking. And that’s the breaking point.
He exhales slowly, like it’s costing him something to hold back. “You should stop looking at me like that.”
Your voice is low, almost mocking. “Like what?”
“Like you want me to lose control.”
You tilt your hips, just a little, enough to feel the hard press of him against you, thick and solid between his thighs. Your eyes flick down. Then back up. “Who says I don’t?”
The look he gives you in return isn’t playful anymore. It’s feral.
In one sudden shift, he pins your wrists tighter and leans in, his lips grazing your cheek, your jaw, the corner of your mouth, but not quite kissing. Not yet. His nose brushes yours. His breath is ragged, hot, filled with frustration and desire all twisted together.
“Say it again,” he whispers, voice gone ragged. “Say I’m just trying to be in control.”
You smile, sharp, teasing. “If the shoe fits-”
He crashes down on you like a thunderclap. His mouth captures yours in a kiss that’s all teeth and hunger and heat. It’s not soft. It’s not sweet. It’s a demand, a challenge, a punishment for every smartass word out of your mouth. You feel it all the way to your toes.
You groan into it, arching up. His body follows, pressing flush against you, hips locking yours down with a grind so slow and hard it pulls a gasp straight from your throat.
He pulls back just enough to pant, “Fuck, you feel-” but he cuts himself off by diving back in. This time, his tongue sweeps deep, and your thighs squeeze around his waist in reflex.
Your hands twist in his grip. “Let me go.”
“No.” His mouth is at your throat now, dragging over your pulse, kissing, sucking just enough to leave heat behind. “You like being pinned.”
“I like beating you.”
He laughs, breath hot against your skin. “You’re so fucking mouthy.”
“You love it.”
“I do.” His hands shift, sliding down your arms, down your sides, until they land heavy on your thighs.
And then, he grips and pulls.
Your body slides over the carpet with a squeak as he yanks you into his lap, your core now straddling his thigh. You let out a breathless noise, half-shocked, fully aroused.
Now he’s sitting up, you on your knees, straddling him. One of his hands finds your jaw, tilting your head to look him in the eyes.
“Still think you’re winning?”
You grind down. Feel him right there, thick and aching through his sweatpants.
You smirk. “This feel like losing to you?”
His fingers dig into your hips. “You’re about to find out what losing really feels like.”
He lifts you slightly. Positions you just right.
And then he grinds up, slow, deliberate, filthy.
You gasp.
He groans.
His forehead presses to yours. “You gonna tap out, baby?”
Your nails rake down his arms.
“Not a fucking chance.”
You don’t even make it back to your feet.
His grip is still on your hips, grounding you. Your thighs straddle his, flush against the growing, pulsing heat in his lap. There’s no mistaking it now, he’s hard, thick, and pressing right where you need him most, and the friction is just cruel enough to make your eyes flutter shut.
“You still playing?” he asks lowly, almost mockingly, his lips dragging along your jaw as he rocks up again. “Still think this is a game?”
You bite your bottom lip, hard enough to sting. “I haven’t lost yet.”
His breath catches. And then he growls.
The next second is a blur, Changbin flipping you underneath him with a brutal sort of grace, spreading your thighs with his knee and dragging his hands down your body like he owns it.
“Then I’m done playing,” he mutters.
Fingers hook under your waistband. You lift your hips instinctively, breath catching as he tugs your shorts down, panties with them. His eyes darken, devouring the sight of you laid out, flushed and panting, legs spread like you’re already begging.
And maybe you are.
He doesn’t give you time to think.
He drags his hand down your stomach, slow and firm, until his fingers find you soaked.
“Fuck me,” he breathes out, almost in awe. “You’re dripping, baby. All that attitude just to melt the second I touch you?”
Your only response is a gasp when he slides a thick finger through your folds. Then another. He rubs slow circles over your clit, watching your body twitch, your back arch.
“Say it,” he whispers, voice suddenly quieter but deadly serious. “Say you want it.”
“I want it,” you whisper, breathless.
He presses harder. “No, you don’t. Say it like you mean it. Say you want me.”
You meet his eyes, dark, determined, and your voice breaks on the truth: “I want you, Changbin. I want all of you.”
That’s it. That’s the last of his control.
He yanks his sweats down just enough, just far enough. The tip of his cock brushes your thigh, hot, heavy, leaking. You reach for him, wrapping your hand around him with a soft gasp at the size.
“You gonna tap out now?” he growls against your throat, rutting into your hand.
“Fuck no,” you whisper. “You first.”
He lines himself up, presses the blunt head of his cock against your entrance, and pushes in, slow, unrelenting, inch by inch until your body stretches around him.
You moan, head falling back. “Jesus, you’re big.”
“And you’re perfect,” he grits out, voice wrecked with restraint. “So fucking tight, like your pussy was made to lose to me.”
He bottoms out, stays there for a beat, just letting you feel every thick inch buried inside you.
Then he starts to move.
And everything else disappears.
The room fades. The world narrows. There’s only the wet slap of skin on skin, the heat of him driving into you, the low curses against your skin, your name dragged out in broken syllables.
He fucks you like he’s winning. Like he’s staking his claim. Every thrust has purpose, deep, filthy, punishing.
You meet him stroke for stroke, hands clawing at his back, your breath stuttering with every roll of his hips. “Changbin- fuck- don’t stop.”
He bites your shoulder, just enough to leave a mark. “Say you give up.”
“No,” you whimper.
He pounds into you harder.
“Say. It.”
You scream his name instead. Your walls clench, legs tightening around his waist as the first wave hits, white-hot pleasure slamming through you in a pulse that makes your vision blur.
You don’t tap out.
But your body does.
And he follows right behind, hips stuttering as he spills inside you with a low, guttural moan, forehead pressed to yours, whispering “fuck, fuck, fuck” like a prayer.
You both lay there, panting, shaking, tangled in each other.
After a beat, he lifts his head and smirks.
“Still think you won?”
You grin, spent and messy.
“You tapped in.”
You’re curled up against him, limbs tangled, breathing still heavy but slowing, skin sticky with sweat and heat. His arms wrap around you possessively, fingers tracing lazy circles along your spine, grounding you both in the quiet aftermath.
Changbin’s voice breaks the silence, low and rough, “You really thought you could beat me?”
You smirk against his chest, “I did, until you flipped the script.”
He chuckles, a deep, warm sound vibrating through you. “Yeah, well... I like it when you fight back.”
Your fingers brush through his messy hair, pulling him closer. “Makes the win taste sweeter?”
He nuzzles your neck, lips ghosting over your skin, “Hell yeah.”
A slow grin curls on your lips as you tease, “So, rematch tomorrow?”
He groans playfully, “You’re insatiable.”
“Can’t help it,” you whisper, voice thick with promise. “Neither can you.”
He pulls you flush, kiss lingering, slow and full of all the hunger left unsaid.
“Next time,” he murmurs against your mouth, “I’m not going easy.”
You laugh softly, heart still racing, “Good. Because I’m not tapping out.”
You both sink into the warmth of the moment, the quiet after the storm, already craving the next round.

Would SKZ date someone with mental disorders/neurodivergent?
The wording may be off because I wanted to make this not disorder specific and more broad
Chan
He would. He’d be very compassionate about it, and try to support and be a rock for that person. He wants to be their safe place to, let’s say, if they have severe depression be able to come to him and just…Talk. I don’t know how to word this without being really dark. Or explain this entirely, but he just wants to be there and be a save haven. Where they can be free and loved regardless of any apparent baggage the disorder may bring. Though he’d also want them to be able to overcome certain things on their own incase anything happens to the relationship.
Minho
No. Now, do I think he’d dump them if he found out once the relationship already started? No. But if he knew before it started the relationship wouldn’t be. Period. He values stability and security, and just doesn’t feel equipped to deal with someone with mental health issues, rather bluntly. It’s too much for him, and he doesn’t think it’d be smart to knowingly put himself into that situation. And if it becomes apparent later, I think it could very rapidly overwhelm him and may cause the relationship’s downfall if it’s severe. Unless they’re locked in, then he’d try to help them through to work it out. He’s someone very intense and aware of emotion. As such, he needs someone who will be able to handle him and not…Burden him. It may sound harsh, but it’s true. He’s someone who’s just very very easily overwhelmed. And if it’s something that affects emotional maturity/depth, it’d be a definite no go. Now, he’d be compassionate, of course. And he’d be a good and willing friend for someone with a mental disorder, but not really a partner.
Changbin
Another no. He’d be too worried about it, I think. Like if they have mental disorders that affect their day to day life, or just…Anything in general, like for example autism, ADHD, OCD, depression, anxiety, etc… he’d just constantly be stressing trying to make sure they’re okay. Like if they have depression he’s stressing trying to figure out what may cause it to worsen, or if they’re gonna get triggered, etc. or trying to figure out what’s making them so anxious if they have anxiety, etc. etc. He also may feel…Inhibited? I guess? Because he’s so focused on his partner 24/7 worrying every out of every day, which is draining. And I feel like it’d very rapidly deteriorate his own mental health. Because he’s so busy giving giving giving trying to make their life easier and there’s no way he’ll get all that back. I also think he may be too overbearing with it? Like trying too hard to…Fix. And that ends terribly.
Hyunjin
He would. He’d try his best to understand and help. I think he’d find a certain fulfillment in it? Like just supporting his partner and being there if they need it. Understanding them and being able to help them through the hard times. Knowing he’s useful and needed and that he’s not useless “for once”. He’s very sensitive and has a lot of depth emotionally, and I think he’d feel a lot for them. I honestly think he’s another one if his partner is too emotional it’ll drain him by extension because he feeds off it. But he, like Chan, wants to create a safe place for his partner.
Han
He would. He’d just try to make them happy and, again, be a safe space for them. He wants to share his happiness with them and let them know that he’s there for them. It’d bring him a lot of pleasure. I’m getting he may have had/still has a lot of struggles with mental illness and had a lot of friends who helped him through it, and wants to give his partner that experience. Very compassionate about it, though his reasons may be a tad selfish? Like, he does a lot of it for his own fulfillment and conscious. Not that he doesn’t care, of course. Definitely would feel a need to protect them, though.
Felix
He would. He’d try to help them through it and help them overcome whatever challenges it brings. He’d be glad they can trust him enough to let him help. And he knows they can both push through and endure whatever negative effects it has on the relationship. He can adapt to whatever comes his way from it. Whatever his partner needs due to the disorders. Though I think it may also…Drain him eventually, and become too much.
Seungmin
I was expecting a firm no, but he would. He’d be very mature about the whole thing and a rock. Very emotionally secure throughout the whole thing. He’d help them get through it, and unlike the others I don’t see it draining him really? Because, not in a rude or selfish or apathetic way, it wouldn’t necessarily affect him deeply? I can’t explain it. While he feels empathy, he doesn’t feel FOR you like the others would. He’s more detached with it. Definitely would be the type who’d move mountains for you and be there in a pinch if you needed anything that’d make the whole thing easier? Very generous with his time because of it.
I.N
He would. Honestly, I’m getting he has a lot? Specifically with people who have struggled with depression and anxiety. And he always seems to come at the tail end of that? Where it’s starting to become something they’re overcoming more and more. Like I’m getting he’s always the end of a cycle. He helps them find a different part of themselves and does it kindly. Even if they break up he’s always remembered extremely fondly because of that. It’s like he…Frees them? In a sense? I’m trying not to word this in a way that’s offensive or lessening anything. But he’s a very freeing person to be with and instills a deep love of life in his partners.

hi💓 i saw that you wanted a scenario. maybe a challenge, or a competition, with lee skz ler skz, the one who can hold on the longest while being tickled, will win. like BTS did in this video👇🏻 https://youtu.be/IWD-9hUnLAI?si=KQoDCVywyIagiu9R
i hope you like it🎀
Composure
Lees: Skz Lers: Skz Word Count: 5.3k
A/N: Hii~ Thank you for the request and I'm so sorry it took this long 😖 I honestly have no idea how I ended up writing so much 😅 I hope you guys like it! (hope it's not too long🥺)

Skz were filming a special episode, a little gift for Stays on their birthday. The staff had proposed a challenge of composure, where each member would go through a series of different challenges to see who in Skz had the best composure.
It seemed like an easy win for elegant Felix or Chan at first…but the chick didn’t feel as certain when the first game was announced.
“Each player will take a sip of water and try to hold it for as long as they can while the other members tickle them. You can only use the tools you’ve been given and be creative. Everyone will get 1 chance each. Good luck!” The staff giggled as they announced the final rule: “Only 4 members can tickle the player at a time to keep it fair.”
Everyone got flustered at that. Were they all so ticklish that only four were allowed? The rosy tints on the member’s faces only made the staff laugh harder at them. They played a round of rock, paper, scissors to decide the order.
Chan:
Chan giggled at the excited faces of his kids. Minho and Han were cracking their knuckles in a cute attempt at intimidation.
Seungmin drew a line across his neck as he looked at the leader with unfiltered glee. And oh boy, Chan was so in for it.
He sat down, suddenly acutely aware of every inch of skin that was exposed from the outfit he was given.
“Jacket off, hyung!” The kids called as Chan took a seat in the center. He already felt vulnerable, like he was surrounded by a pack of hungry hyenas.
Chan slowly took his jacket off, stalling as much as he could. That wasn’t such a smart idea though, as the kids only grew more feral the longer he took.
A sneaky hand wiggled down the cut in the back of his shirt and Chan squealed, jumping out of the chair with a shiver.
“Yah that’s cheating!” He spun around to face a giggly Minho who hopped away when Chan reached for his sides. “Just wait till it’s your turn you little menace.”
“You’re not exactly in a position to threaten me right now hyung,” Minho waggled his eyebrows at him, fingers wiggling in his direction.
Channie blushed, trying to keep still when he could swear that those stupid motions set his nerves on fire.
As soon as Chan had taken his sip of water, the kids dived in. A second later the timer started. Felix, Minho, Changbin and Hyunjin were chosen to tickle him and boy oh boy was it bad.
So what the staff had failed to specify was if the other three could help and Seungmin being the smarty pants he was, urged Han and Jeongin to each grab one of the leader’s arms and hold them away.
Chan almost spat his water when his arms were ripped away from where they were glued to his sides. Staring wide eyed at a smirking Seungmin for only a moment before the tickles overtook his body.
The four tickling him cheered at the newly exposed spots and fingers quickly wiggled into Channie’s most sensitive spots.
Minho went straight for his armpits hollering, “One shot one kill,” as he dug into the center with his thumbs, vibrating the fingers in.
Poor Chan squeezed his eyes shut, his back arching off the chair as muffled laughter escaped his throat.
Then Hyunjin and Changbin went for his sides, pressing their fingers in through the tattered edges of his crop top.
And just to add the cherry on top, Felix grabbed at his thighs, squeezing the solid flesh in a way that just shouldn’t feel so damn ticklish.
Channie’s breath hitched in his throat, his lips curling as he tried to hold back. But when Changbin leaned down to blow a raspberry, he gave in, squirting the water straight in poor Lixie’s face.
The chick squawked in surprise, scrambling away, sputtering and begging for a tissue. Chan giggled, both at the younger’s adorable reaction and Minho’s hand that still hadn’t left his pits.
He pushed them away, this time successfully managing to land a poke at the kitten’s side.
“46 seconds….” The staff announced, looking amazed. Chan himself was stunned that he’d lasted that long. He passed on round two when Minho tried to sit him back on the chair.
“Seungmin’s next!!” The puppy shifted his weight nervously, putting on a brave face when Han and Jeongin brought their faces close, looking cocky af. “Are you ready? Are you Seungminie?”
Seungmin:
“Time for revenge puppy.” Chan called, eyes glinting with an excitement that had Seungmin gulping nervously, trying to muster his bravado. He planned to spit the water out the moment the timer started. “Whatever old man.”
“Oh you are SO getting it for that.” Chan fake glared at him, imitating Seungmin by drawing a line across his throat. The puppy just poked his tongue out mockingly at him.
“We’re gonna absolutely wreck you pup. Aren’t you excited?” Minho taunted, a challenging expression on his face that Seungmin met head on.
“Do your worst, grandpa.” He retorted, but the slight quiver in his voice betrayed his nerves. Minho levelled him with a death glare that Seungmin couldn’t help but grin at despite the looming consequences.
“You have to last at least 10 seconds, or you’ll have to go a second time for a minute with everyone.” The staff couldn’t have announced this at a worse time.
Seungmin stared blanky at them for a moment before his attention snapped back to the blatantly over excited faces of his hyungs and maknae.
Maybe it wasn’t his finest idea to taunt and tease them earlier. “W-wait, hyungs, Innie! I’m sohorry— please go easy on me?”
He gave them his best puppy eyes just to be met with scoffs and smirks. Felix pushed him into the chair, presenting the cup of water with impatient eyes.
“We’ll go soooo easy on you Seungminie, don’t you worry about a thing~” Han crooned from somewhere behind him, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Sighing, Minnie took a slow sip of water, accepting his fate.
“Get ready to laugh for us babyy~” As expected Chan, Han, Felix and Minho volunteered to tickle him, while Binnie and Innie caught his hands and held them away.
When the timer started, Han went straight for Seungmin’s stomach, determined to make the younger lose. Chan and Felix went for his sides and Minho clasped his hands over the puppy’s thighs, just above his knees and squeezed.
Seungmin made a strangely warbled noise, throwing his head back and clenching his eyes shut.
But that only exposed another weak spot to Chan, who scribbled eagerly at the sides of his neck, laughing when the puppy hurried to scrunch his shoulders.
Hyunjin and Felix cackled at the pup’s predicament, loving how his eyes glared even as his body writhed from the hands toying with his worst spots.
“What’s wrong Minnie? Why aren’t you laughing for us pup? Are we not tickling you enough?” Oh, Han was evil, taunting Seungmin, who for once couldn’t say anything back.
The quokka squeezed Minnie’s side with one hand, using the other to simultaneously wiggle a finger in his navel.
Seungmin gave up immediately, spraying a targeted stream of water at Minho who gasped and froze in shock at his spot near the pup’s thighs.
Seungmin was busy laughing his head off, almost toppling off his chair at the force of his laughter.
Then rough hands were dragging him to the floor and he found a furious Minho looming over him.
He could barely get a word out to plead his case when a finger was pressed right back into his navel and a thumb dug into his upper ribs.
Seungmin howled with laughter, two of his worst spots being exploited at the same time. “Are you having fun now pup? I’m certainly enjoying this.”
“STAHA-STAHAHAP!! MINHO HYUNG PLEAHEHEASE,” but nothing he said could save him from the older’s wrath.
The others watched fondly at the pair as Minho wrecked the puppy with a straight face and twinkling boba eyes.
Seungmin squirmed and kicked his feet and screamed when Minho bent down to press a raspberry on his lower stomach, bucking up with a hysterical shriek just to come crashing back down again.
“SOHO—SOHOHORRY, I’M SORRY!! HYUNG PLEHEHEASE!” But Minho’s hands on him remained merciless.
Finally, the leader took pity on the ticklish pup and pulled Minho off him. Seungmin panted loudly, lying star fished on the floor until his breathing evened out, tears slipping down the sides of his face.
He vaguely heard the staff calling out ‘17 seconds’ and smiled in relief. He didn’t think he could take a round two after how hard he’d just been wrecked.
Hyunjin felt a chill run down his spine when their collective attention slowly diverted to their new target. This game seemed like it was designed to make him suffer.
Hyunjin:
It was going to be so easy. All it ever took were a few well-placed fingers to get the ferret to surrender. With how ticklish Hyunjin was, this was hardly a fair game.
“You got me real good didn’t you Jinnie?” Chan’s voice promised nothing good.
“Cha-Channie hyung, it’s just a game, there’s no need for revenge…” The leader smiled devilishly at that.
“Yes Jinnie, it’s all in good. fun.” The menacing tone underlying those words pretty much sealed his fate.
Felix, Seungmin, Chan and Changbin stepped forward and Hyunjin shuddered.
The timer sounded and with it began his torture. “Hold him still Innie, Hannie. I got an idea.”
Chan whispered something in Changbin’s ear and with a smirk, the dwaekki hopped over to close his hands over Hyunjin’s eyes.
Great, now he would have to deal with everything feeling ten times worse. That was just what he needed.
He was so caught up in his head when a sudden scratchy sensation began at his ribs that he very nearly shrieked.
It took everything he had to keep his lips sealed when the strange sensation only grew more insistent and started to tickle him insanely bad.
Chan wielded the backscratchers with practiced ease, digging it lightly into Jinnie’s ribs while Felix scribbled lightly at his sides. Seungmin brushed his fingers along Hyunjin’s neck and Changbin blew in his ears.
“Guys aim for his worst spots, let’s make him lose!” Seungmin chirped from the audience. “Yeah then we can all get him back in round 2!!” Han finished excitedly.
Hyunjin tried to wrench himself free from the offending touches but the hands restraining him held fast. He could barely even move around in his chair, let alone anywhere out of it.
Hyunjin wanted to hide his face. He knew he looked funny with the pained expression he probably had on, so he tugged furiously at his arms…but it didn't so much as budge.
He let out a high pitched whine, his body contorting into the strangest positions, almost making it look like he was possessed.
That earned hysterical laughter from Felix and Han, who almost let go of Hyunjin’s arm. As expected, the sensitive ferret couldn’t take much.
When one final pair grabbed at his thighs, Hyunjin gave in, spewing the water out in a warm, albeit gross stream…..straight at Chan.
The leader scrambled away with a screech as everyone laughed after him.
“Oooh 8 seconds Jinnie. So close….well you know what this means hm?” Minho’s teasing voice sent shivers down his spine. Why couldn’t he have held on for 2 more seconds?!
The poor ferret couldn’t even process what he heard, too dazed from trying to hold back his laughter even when it had tickled so bad.
Unfortunately for him, everyone else heard the announcement loud and clear. 8 seconds. So close and yet so far away. He looked pleadingly at the rest.
“It’s just two seconds! You don’t have to do this…” He tried to talk his way out of it, changing tactics when no one seemed to buy it.
“This isn’t fair! You guys cheated. You went for a death spot, what was I supposed to do?!” Hyunjin complained, a bratty tone to his voice.
“Aww, it's not our fault you’re so ticklish. Every spot is a death spot for you~” Felix teased, confirming with the staff that Hyunjin wouldn’t need to use water for this round.
The artist was promptly pulled to the floor by Seungmin, blabbing on and on about how hard he was going to wreck him.
Nervous giggles bubbled up in Hyunjin’s throat but there was no running from them. Innie’s eyes glinted with malice as he watched the older get pinned down.
“Wait! Wait! I didn’t have enough time to prepare!”
“Nuh uh, no waiting.” Minho cut off his weak protests and the seven took their places around Hyunjin, Minho sitting on his hands, Lix straddling his hips and Han sitting on his calves.
Hyunjin couldn’t move a single limb as the quokka slipped his shoes off and Lix pushed his shirt up all the way to his chest, leaving his tummy and sides gloriously bare and just waiting to be tormented.
“Pl-please be nice,” the ferret begged as a last resort, flinching when a single finger swiped up the length of his socked sole.
The moment those awful, mean hands reached his stomach, Hyunjin bucked up, his own hands trying to move to protect the weak spot but Minho’s weight held them tight.
Giggles and laughter bubbled up in his chest, the artist’s face turning pink at the relentless sensation. It was a somewhat new spot for him.
Despite being in plain sight, he wasn’t tickled there as often but it already seemed like it was going to be one of his bad spots.
“Ahahahaha, Lihixie nohoho…” He giggled cutely up at the ball of sunshine.
His attention was diverted when Hannie began scribbling up and down his feet, randomly digging in to hear the ferret squeal loudly.
“Ahah! HANNIE FAHAHAHA- NOT THERE!! PLEHEHEASE I CAHAN’T TAKE IT GODS! ” The poor artist sounded so winded, overcome by a fit of laughter as his worst spot was exploited freely.
Then Seungmin, Felix and Chan aimed at his torso, their hands all varying in technique and roughness, making Hyunjin feel light headed.
Binnie and Lix each grabbed at his thighs, squeezing and scribbling the life out of them and the artist screamed.
“NAHAHAHAHA, nohohot there! I gihive, I give!” he shrieked, desperately writhing in their grasp.
Hysterical cackles and shrieks were the only sound Hyunjin seemed able to produce in his place, somehow managing to make it to the 1 minute mark without dying.
Although in all honesty he knew that everyone had switched to softer tickles midway, not wanting to overwhelm him.
Hyunjin felt like a mess when they let him go. He was pretty certain he looked the part too, with his clothes ruffled beyond help and hair tousled crazily.
But he knew the undeniable smile and tears of mirth streaking his face would be something Stay would like so he let it go.
Han:
“Your turn Hannie~ Get ready for death!” Felix declared with a clap, leading the jittery quokka to the dreaded chair.
Of course. He had helped in wrecking everyone else before him. Karma really was a bitch. He broke free from Lix, only to be cornered by the maknae who reached over to grab at his side.
“Ah NO! You cahahan’t do thihis to mee!!” He protested feebly, trying to back away from Jeongin.
A strong arm around his waist, however, sat him easily back on the chair.
When had their little baby bread gotten so strong? The cup of water was thrust in his face and Hannie shakily took a sip.
This time Jeongin was going to keep Hannie’s hands occupied while 2racha and Seungmin stepped up, armed with feathers and 3 backscratchers.
“We’re gonna wreck you Hannie~” Chan teased, his characteristic dimpled smile blooming on his face when Han giggled sweetly up at him. He pretended to melt off the chair, dramatically reaching a hand out to an amused Minho.
But for all his enthusiastic demeanor, all he got was a soft caress over his sides. It still tickled but it wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy the mood he’d gotten just from watching Channie, Seungminie and Jinnie get tickled.
He whined, sounding distressed and Minho couldn’t help but pinch his cheeks. “Fine fine, we’ll do it for real this time.”
His words heralded chaos. Hands flitted everywhere that Hannie could imagine and it took everything in him to not burst out laughing that instant.
He didn’t want this to end just when it had gotten good! So he sat there squirming, with Innie holding his arms over and behind his head.
Hands attached to Han’s sides, another pair coming up to dig into the hollows of his armpits and Han shot up in his chair. He twisted and squirmed fruitlessly in Innie’s grip but there was no escape.
Muffled giggles flowed like a melody from his closed lips and Hannie’s cheeks puffed up, making him look more like a squirrel than ever.
The two eldest couldn’t help but coo at the adorable sight, even while Han was fighting for his life on that chair.
Then the fingers were replaced with the feathers and backscratchers, Binnie twirling and flicking at his sensitive neck and ears and cheeks, cackling away when Hannie let out frantic but subdued laughter.
Minho and Chan scraped at his thighs, sides, tummy and ribs with the tools. Basically any place they could reach at, switching between spots so fast, the poor lee malfunctioned.
His thighs were a death spot and the fact that his skin tight jeans allowed for the tools to glide easily all over the ticklish flesh only amplified the sensation that much more.
Minho leaned forwards, his breath ghosting over the quokka’s ear, making him shiver with how even that felt unbearable. “C’mon, you can last 30 seconds right Han-ah?” Lino asked hopefully.
But all the ace could do was shake his head and chant “I can’t, I can’t’ over and over in his mind, hoping that the words he couldn’t speak would somehow be conveyed to them.
So he did the next best thing, twisting away, muffled protests and pleas falling from his lips until Minho’s voice had him pausing every thought.
“I’ll tickle you so well when we get back if you get to 30 seconds,” he promised, pulling away to grin at the flustered baby. Hannie huffed through his nose but nodded slightly.
He didn’t know how he managed it but Hannie squirmed and thrashed and giggled his way through half a minute of this relentless torment.
But eventually, a sudden attack on his waist made him spray the water out. “Good boy.”
The kitten patted his head and rubbed his back as he heaved for breath, folded over the chair while his brain kept replaying the dizzying series of events that had just taken place.
He was going to get wrecked later…. Minho was going to tickle him to his heart’s content, and as much as Hannie wanted and in any way he wanted.
It was safe to say that Han.exe stopped working for a couple minutes till his brain processed that information.
And then the brightest of smiles lightened up his face, lips curving into the beautiful heart shape the members simply adored.
Next in line was a certain tsundere kitten, who glared pointedly at Hyunjin, daring him to so much as take a step in his direction.
Chan swatted at him for that, plopping him down on the chair and scolding him playfully to get ready. Minho was determined ot not give them the satisfaction of seeing him so much as cracking a smile.
Minho:
The moment the time started, the Aussie duo and Han lunged for him. With Binnie and Innie holding his arms away, Minho felt helpless.
Channie’s fingers danced all over his upper body and thighs, squeezing, scribbling, kneading and jabbing at random spots to have poor Lino squirming and kicking in his seat. His resolve crumbled almost immediately; tickles were his Achilles heel. The one thing he couldn’t stand.
“So cute~” Chan cooed, watching with growing amusement at how flustered the younger was.
He almost toppled over from all his thrashing, little squeaks and whines escaping, much to his horror.
Minho was mortally embarrassed.
All his frantic thrashing was being recorded. He just knew they weren’t going to let him live this down.
“So shy aren’t you little baby? You try to act so nonchalant, but you’re just a soft, ticklish little kitten, aren’t you?” Chan’s relentless teases had Minho’s brain short circuiting.
Even innocent Hannie and Minnie were affected, blushing red, even as their fingers still continued to run all over the older’s sensitive torso.
Chan laughed, delighted by the reaction he got. “Guys aim for his sides; he can’t take it there!”
The announcement had poor Lino is shambles. His shirt and hair were a mess and tears welled up at the corners of his squinted eyes.
More and more hands joined in at his waist, sides and tummy. Han pinched gently at his waist while Felix clawed at his belly.
At this point Minho wasn’t sure he could tell up from down, trying his best to keep in his desperate laughter. His ears shone crimson, little whimpers and held back giggles escaping now and then.
That was when Felix whipped out a backscratcher, teasingly waving it in the older’s face before moving it down and dragging it all over Minho’s thighs.
If he didn’t want to win this stupid competition, Minho knew he’d be screaming and begging now.
His thighs were a death spot and the fact that his skin tight jeans allowed for it to basically glide easily all over the ticklish flesh only amplified the sensation that much more.
For everything he handed out, Minho simply couldn’t take it.
Counting down to ten in his head, his mind just barely holding onto the numbers, he loudly gulped down the water.
Laughter rang throughout the room until he reigned in his reactions enough to yelp out a giggly, “STAHAHAP!!”
The hands lingered for a few more seconds before lifting off his now hypersensitive body, Chan offering him some water that he grudgingly accepted.
There was a smug murmur of how he couldn’t take what he dished out, Minho blushing furiously as he glared at Han, the squirrel withering away with a giggly apology.
“30 seconds!” The staff called and Minho wasn’t certain if that was right, it had felt like an eternity. He had no idea how he’d lasted so long without laughing.
Innie was next. The cute maknae, inched away from everyone until he was dragged back to the torture chair by a laughing Felix.
“Hyunjin and I will go! He’s too ticklish to handle four of us anyway.” Seungmin snickered at the red faced maknae, who threw him a dirty look for that last remark. Oh no. These two were merciless lers….. And so, it began.
Jeongin:
“Aww, always so ticklish, aren’t you little one? Does this tickle? How about here? It’s really too bad you’re going to have to take this hmm?”
Seungmin’s gloved hands were at his sides, drilling into the toned muscles with precise, torturous presses, making Innie buck up in his seat. The teases felt way worse than the tickling itself.
Jeongin really wanted the ground to swallow his whole right now. He just knew his face was so red right now.
However, he had little time to linger on his embarrassment when Hyunjin’s nails dragged over the taut skin of his collarbones, skittering left and right then up and down.
Innie threw his head back, shoes skidding and squeaking on the white floor, leaving dark marks all over. But he couldn’t care less about that.
Seungmin’s hands snuck under his shirt, running along his bare ribs and sides, lazily tracing the spots as if he had all the time in the world.
Oh that little demon puppy knew exactly how to get him. Innie shook his head, eyes shut tight as he tried his best to hold on just a little longer.
The moment he counted down from 10, Innie spewed the water all over a flabbergasted pup who pressed his fingers in in revenge, vibrating them to hear Jeongin howl with laughter.
Innie just barely managed to push him away with his weakened arms, dashing away and slumping in Hyunjin’s hold.
The older was more than happy to cuddle him. “12 seconds!” Innie sighed in relief, he’d just barely passed.
Changbin, cleared his throat loudly, eyes flitting about nervously when everyone turned to him. “Actually…I think I left the stove on. I’ll be right back!”
He tried to make a dash for the door but Chan and Innie were quicker, tackling the squirming rapper to the floor and tickling him to bits there.
“You thought you’d get away that easily after wrecking us all? Nuh uh hyung.”
Binnie squealed and pleaded, wriggling around on the floor when Chan held him down and Innie squeezed at his sides.
They let him go when the staff gestured at them, laughing at their antics.
Changbin:
Changbin sat down with a smile he didn’t care to suppress, taking a sip of water slowly at Hyunjin’s knowing look. Han and Chan volunteered to keep his arms away.
Hyunjin, Chan, Felix and Minho eagerly claimed their spots, circling Binnie like sharks. Then the timer started.
Felix targeted Binnie’s ribs with relentless pokes, Minho focusing on light, teasing strokes under his arms.
Chan and Hyunjin alternated between squeezing his knees and scribbling on his neck, leaving the poor rapper in stitches. He felt so helpless and exposed like this, with Innie and Han holding his weakened arms away.
“Is this bad Binnie? Oh, are you trying to say something?” Chan called in a sing song voice, fingers tracing all over his sensitive neck and broad shoulders.
“What! You can’t take this? That’s really too bad, isn’t it?” Hyunjin mocked from his spot at Binnie’s legs. They were ruthless.
Even the ones on the sidelines, were throwing teases and taunts his way. Felix’s fingers hovered over his torso, quickly moving over spots but not touching him yet.
And just when Changbin had thought he’d be able to handle this much… Minho and Hyunjin grabbed feathers and paintbrushes.
The artist skillfully ran the paintbrush over his upper ribs, twisting and curling the soft hair around the ridges and crevices of Binnie’s bulky body. Binnie squeaked, a cute sound that had everyone cooing at him.
He was about to explode from the sensations when Minho sunk his fingers into the pudge of his tummy.
He shut his eyes tight, shaking his head side to side but nothing he did seemed to alleviate the tingles running up his spine.
And then Felix started with the feathers, tracing them over his neck and setting every nerve it went over, tingling like a live wire.
Binnie’s body lurched to the side, away from them, his arm wrenching free from Han’s grip and clamping tightly to his side.
Giggly words sounded vaguely from his vocal cords but no matter which way he turned, the feathers and paintbrushes followed him.
And just to make it worse, Hyunjin added his fingers to the mix, digging and clawing at his sides.
The rapper gave in, spurting water everywhere as he hopped out of his seat and ran a safe distance away from the duo, folding over and rubbing at his hyper charged skin.
Residual giggles bubbled from his lips and Felix couldn’t resist sneaking behind the dwaekki and stuffing his hands up Binnie’s pits.
Changbin yelped out a laugh, once again hopping away from the smug Aussie. ”Hyung’s just like a bunny~ Aren’t you hyungie?” He teased fondly.
His timing came upto 15 seconds and Binnie’s face felt like it was on fire when everyone started to taunt him for it.
And for the final contestant… Felix couldn’t deny that anxiety had been simmering in his belly.
Felix:
“You really had a lot of fun with us…..didn’t you Lix?” Hyunjin scribbled his nails under the chick’s chin, watching adoringly when it made the younger smile brightly.
“You guys liked it~” He teased lightly, yelping when that earned him a jab to the side from a flustered Changbin.
“Aww feeling shy hyungie? You looked so cute when you were squirming around earlier. Hannie too, being all squeaky and adorable. You wanted more didn’t you, ticklish baby?”
His deep voice and the teasing lilt to it were a deadly combination. Binnie and Hannie didn’t stand a chance, the tips of their ears bleeding crimson.
“Drink.” Seungmin ordered stiffly, shoving the water in Lixie’s face before he could get everyone else. “You’re so cute puppy. Don’t worry, stays know allll about your little ‘secret’,” he taunted, laughing when Seungmin sputtered at his words.
Having had his fun, Lix took a big sip of the water, leaning back and holding his arms out without a care in the world. He knew he’d get the tickles he’d been craving all day.
Being the last had really riled up his lee mood and now he was willing to do and say just about anything if it got him the ‘punishment’ he wanted.
And with his comments earlier, he’d left quite a few of them raring to get their revenge.
The timer beeped, signaling Han, Changbin, Seungmin and Hyunjin to lunge at the chick. Han’s fingers alternated between feather-light grazes on Lixie’s sides and firm digs into his ribs.
“Still feeling brave Lix?” Felix’s initial enthusiasm vanished as fingers danced over his ribs and sides.
Hyunjin’s light touches contrasted with Seungmin’s firmer squeezes, the fusion leaving the little Aussie squealing through his zipped mouth.
Felix’s reactions were quite entertaining, the little chick trying to twist away, tugging wildly at his arms but they stayed firm, stretched up over his head and held together by one of Channie’s hands.
Lix shivered when his shirt was pulled up, giggling sweetly when Binnie ran a single finger up the curve of his spine.
Calloused fingers began skittering all over his back, digging in once they found his shoulder blades.
The chick let out a muffled scream, jerking forwards. He hadn’t expected it to tickle so much but that reaction only got Channie to pull him back by his wrists…right back into Changbin’s waiting fingers.
Felix kicked his feet, that being the only way he could relieve the tingly sensations taking over his body and threw his head back into Chan’s chest as giggles formed in his throat.
Then Seungmin lifted a hand to his torso, fingers drawing a tickly path from Lixie’s sides to his abs, then up to his ribs and right into his hollows.
A second pair of hands joined in, this time slipping under the bunched up fabric at the front and a finger circled the rim of his navel.
Lixie’s eyes snapped frantically to a smirking Hyunjin. “You seem to be enjoying this way more than any of us Lix. Got anything to say for yourself?”
Hyunjin dipped his finger in, giggling when Lix jolted in place, swirling around in his belly button as the little Aussie shook his head, giving him his best puppy eyes.
More fingers dipped into the ticklish skin of his lower ribs, and Felix couldn’t hold back as water dribbled down his chin in little rivulets, pulling with it an embarrassed squeak.
His laughter was set free. Happy, bubbly squeals of joy filled the space and the hands didn’t stop, even though the timer had.
They slowed to a stop when Chan noticed how blissed out yet tired his baby looked. Hyunjin helped him to his feet, catching the chick when his jelly legs almost gave out.
Round one concluded, Chan leading with a wide margin. They had to shift their schedules to later, everyone too exhausted to jump into the next part.
Luckily for them, their manager had already predicted as much, leading the sleepy kids back to the waiting room for some much needed rest.

Crimson Lights: Chapter 30
Masterlist
Sunlight streams through the windows, waking me from a deep slumber. As I yawn and slowly open my eyes, my hand automatically reaches for Chris. The bed beside me is cold and empty. I sit up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes and spot him in the bathroom, pulling a polo shirt over his head and tucking it in. Even from this distance, I can see the strong planes of his back, the way his shoulders fill out the dark fabric.
“Good morning,” I say, my voice still rough with sleep. “You’re up early for a Sunday.”
Chris glances over, his eyes softening as they meet mine. "Morning, beautiful.” He crosses to the bed and leans down to press a light kiss to my forehead. "I have a breakfast meeting," he says, smoothing down the fabric of his shirt. "Sorry I didn't mention it last night." he walks back to the bathroom to run a comb through his hair.
“Really?” I frown slightly as I lie back down on the pillow.
“Yeah.” He hesitates, then sighs. “It’s with Aja, actually. She has some proposal she wants to run by me.” He looks at me, waiting for my reaction.
Aja? Chris' gorgeous ex who suddenly reappeared, wanting to "reconnect."
A twist of unease curls in my stomach at her name. I know their history, how close they once were. The rational part of me knows Chris chose me, that I have nothing to worry about. But the vulnerable, scarred part can't help the flare of jealousy.
"Oh," is all I manage to say. I drop my gaze to my hands, fidgeting with the edge of the sheet. I can hear him walking back towards the bed.
Gentle fingers tilt my chin back up until I'm looking into Chris' eyes, dark and sincere. "Kay, it's just business, I promise. You have nothing to worry about." He cups my cheek. "You can come too, if you want."
I shake my head, forcing a smile. "No, it's okay. I trust you. I'll see you later?"
"Of course." Chris drops another kiss on my forehead. "I'll call you when I'm done."
I watch him leave, trying to ignore the knot of anxiety lodged behind my ribs. Rolling over, I bury my face in his pillow and breathe in his familiar scent, willing myself to relax. It doesn't quite work.
****
"She's definitely up to something," Hyunjin declares, stabbing a french fry into a pool of ketchup with more force than necessary. Felix and I exchange looks as Hyunjin fumes. We sit tucked away in our usual corner booth in the back of the busy diner we frequent.
“Jinnie. This is crazy talk.” Felix’s voice cuts through the noise of the cafe, his brow furrowed in concern.
“Is it though?” Hyunjin leans forward, his dark eyes intense. “I’ve been following her the past 2 weeks. I’ve seen her with Marco, more than once. Four times this week, three times last week. Enough to be concerned. They’re plotting something. I’m telling you.”
I exchange a worried glance with Felix. "Marco? Are you sure?"
"Positive."
Across the table, Felix sighs and leans back in the booth. "You really think she's working with Marco? That's bold, even for her."
“Plotting what exactly?” I ask, picking at my salad, my appetite suddenly gone.
“Couldn’t get close enough to hear much, Hyunjin admitted, “but when snakes slither together….” Hyunjin's eyes darken with barely contained rage. "I’m gonna kill ‘em both and be done with it," he says nonchalantly as he bites into a fry.
"No!" Felix and I say in unison.
I shake my head emphatically, alarm spiking through me. "No. No! You can't just go around killing people, Hyunjin!"
"Why not?" he challenges. "That’s literally my job.” He’s right. I’m not sure how I forgot he’s an assassin. They both are. “Plus, it's them or us, Kay. And I'm going to make damn sure it's not us."
"Whoa, slow down," Felix cuts in, ever the level head between the two of them. He spreads his fingers wide on top of the table and slides his hands forward. "We need to be smart about this.”
I put a hand on Hyunjin’s arm. “You should talk to Changbin about this first. He’ll know how to handle this. “
Hyunjin’s jaw clenches, as he looks back and forth between me and Felix. He scowls but relents with a jerky nod. “You’re right. We’ll do it your way…for now.”
Felix pins Hyunjin with a look. “So, just be clear, no one’s killing anyone just yet….”
“Fine.” Hyunjin sits back and crosses his arm like a child who has just been told no by his parents. “But if anything happens to Chan because of those two…” He leaves the threat hanging. Part of me understands Hyunjin’s protectiveness, his need to keep his family safe. But I’m more concerned by his ruthless instinct to eliminate any threat.
Later that evening, we gather at Changbin’s penthouse, the cityscape glittering beyond the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Changbin stands in front of it, looking out, his hands clasped behind his back as he listens to Hyunjin provide an update on what he shared with us earlier.
Hyunjin unfolds his observations with meticulous care, his brows furrowing with each damning detail. I am surprised by how calm he is in this moment, as compared to his fury at the cafe.
Changbin's jaw clenches. He turns to face the couches where we are sitting. "Any idea what they're planning?"
"No, but it can't be good." Hyunjin runs his hand through his hair.
"There's more," I interject softly. All eyes turn to me. "Chris mentioned Aja approached him about a business proposition. Some new opportunity. He met with her a few days ago to discuss the specifics."
Surprise flickers across Changbin’s face before it smooths into an unreadable mask. “Hmmm. Han, Chan, and I discussed a new venture earlier this week. He seemed reluctant to share details, particularly the partner’s identity. Likely because he knows how our feelings about Aja would… complicate matters."
"Because he knew we'd never agree to work with that two-faced bitch," Hyunjin spits.
“Calm down,” Changbin advises.
“I don't trust her," Felix states flatly. "Or Marco. So what do we do?”
Changbin considers for a long moment, his presence commanding even in stillness. I can see why Chris relies on him to lead when he’s not there. “We learn more before we act.”
"We need to find out what they're planning," Hyunjin says. "Before they make a move."
"Agreed, but we have to be smart about this." Changbin's deep voice commands attention. "No rushing in blindly. Do you understand?" He directs a stern look at Hyunjin.
Hyunjin purses his lips, but he remains silent. I can practically feel the violent energy vibrating beneath his skin. He eventually nods slowly.
“We’ll need to set up some additional surveillance on both Aja and Marco. Let’s bring in the others,” Changbin suggests.
Changbin retrieves his ipad from his office and sets it on the coffee table. The screen lights up and within moments, Han’s face appears, followed by Seungmin’s and Jeongin’s on a zoom call. Since Minho is currently with Chris, they decide to leave him out for now and have Han fill him in later.
“Sounds like we need to monitor their activities over the next few days,” Han says. "Between Seungmin's hacking skills and Jeongin's surveillance expertise, we can watch them closely."
They all discuss logistics and tech specs for the next few minutes, somehow understanding each other perfectly all while talking over each other. I can’t keep up, but I do catch talk about phone taps, hacking emails, tracking movements.
“I want to know what they’re planning before they do,” Changbin states.
“Ya,” Seungmin says concurrently with Jeongin’s “Got it!” Both of them already tapping away furiously on their end of the call.
“We have a way in to Marco,” Han adds. “But we’ll need some help with Aja. We need an inside person.”
“Kay,” Changbin says.
“Hmm? Me? What?” I question, caught off guard.
"Aja doesn't know you," he explains patiently. "Doesn't know you're connected to us. You can get close to her in a way none of us can." He pauses, watching me carefully. “If you’re not comfortable with this, just say the word. We’ll find another way.”
Six pairs of eyes bore into me, a mix of curiosity, concern, and calculation. I can feel the gravity of my potential role settling on my shoulders uncomfortably. I can do this, I think to myself. “I can do it,” I echo out loud.
Changbin's lips curve into a hint of a smile, pride glinting in his eyes. "I knew I could count on you."
A blush creeps into my cheeks at the compliment. I drop my head to pretend to look at my phone in an attempt to hide it, hoping the others don't notice. This is not the time to be distracted by Changbin and whatever is still brewing between us. Right now, the most important thing is keeping Chris safe. No matter the cost.
“Just remember to try to keep whatever you do subtle,” Changbin continued. “We can’t afford to tip them off.”
“Yup,” Jeongin replied. “We got this.”
For the next 20 minutes we focus on the mission at hand and dive into planning the details. Our plan crystallizes and we are ready to implement tomorrow.
When the zoom call ends, Hyunjin and Felix head back to their apartment, leaving Changbin and I alone. We fall into an awkward silence. This is the first time we’ve been alone since our talk at the lake house, although we have been texting regularly again.
He breaks the silence first. “Are you really okay with this?” he asks softly, taking a seat on the couch next to me. "I know it's a lot to take on, especially since you're still new to… all of this." He waves a hand vaguely, encompassing the tense strategy session that just took place.
I take a deep breath, trying to calm the nerves jittering in my stomach. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous," I admit. "But I want to help. I need to help, for Chris. And Marco..." My hands curl into fists as hot anger lashes through me. "He needs to pay for what he did to me and Felix. I want to make sure that happens."
Changbin studies me for a long moment, searching my face. For what, I'm not sure. But he must find it, because he nods once, decisive.
"We'll have your back," he promises. "Every step of the way. You're family now, Kay. SKZ looks after its own."
“Thanks,” I murmur, tucking a stray curl behind my ear. “That means a lot.”
Silence settles around us again, thick and charged, laced with all the things we still have left unsaid. Changbin leans back against the plush leather couch, arms folding across his broad chest. I find myself resisting the urge to squirm under his gaze. Being alone with him, memories of stolen glances and forbidden touches come rushing back with dizzying force.
“Everything okay with you?” he finally asks, attempting to navigate us through the tension.
“Good. Things are…. as they should be,” I reply, not even sure why that is my answer. “And you? You and Lauren?
“Complicated,” he admits. “But we’re figuring it out.”
A laugh escapes me before I can stop it, breaking the intensity of the moment. “Sorry! Complicated just seems to always be the theme around here.”
He joins in on my amusement, nodding his head. Our shared chuckle is a brief respite from the undercurrent neither of us dares to acknowledge.
Changbin's gaze locks with mine, dark and intense, attraction still simmering between us despite our best efforts. I lick my lips, his eyes tracking the movement.
For a suspended moment, anything seems possible. The magnetic pull, the whisper of what if. It would be so easy to lean in, to reach out and pull him to me, to give in one more time….
But I don't. I can't. Not now, not again. We both know we can't. Won't. We've made our choices. So I take a fortifying breath.
Changbin blinks and the spell shatters.
"I should probably get going," I murmur. "Early morning tomorrow."
Changbin clears his throat and nods, looking away. "Right. Yeah.”
We both stand and he walks me to the elevator, keeping a respectful distance between us. Our eyes meet as we wait for the elevator, and for an instant, the air seems to crackle. But then the moment passes. When the doors slide open I quickly step inside.
“Bye,” I say softly, daring another glance at him as the elevator doors start to close. He nods, a bittersweet smile flashing across his handsome face. But I note the sorrow in his eyes and it makes my chest ache.
As the elevator descends, I press a hand to my racing heart. One battle at a time, I remind myself. Marco first. Then I'll untangle the complicated web of my own emotions. Hopefully without losing myself in the process.
****
The next day, I slide on oversized Gucci sunglasses before exiting Hyunjin’s car and striding into the posh nail salon Aja frequents. I feign a confidence I don't quite feel.
I clutch a vintage canary yellow Chanel handbag in my hands, borrowed from the collection of designer purses I inherited from my mom. With the short, cream-colored Louis Vuitton zip-up dress and matching mules Felix somehow sourced for me in less than 12 hours, the value of my entire look is over $10,000. I feel like a fancy bitch! Exactly the type of bitch Aja is drawn to — hot, rich, and fashionable. Felix and Hyunjin told me she only surrounds herself with people who wear designer and have disposable income, so I needed to play the part of a fun, chic, trust fund baby.
The air inside of the luxurious salon is thick with the scent of lavender and peppermint, masking the typical acetone fragrance. I scan the opulent interior; plush velvet chairs and gilded mirrors line the walls. My eyes land on Aja, her legs submerged in a bubbly pedicure bath. She's a vision in a silk blouse and designer jeans rolled up to her calf, flawless makeup highlighting her stunning features. No wonder Chris fell for her all those years ago. She flips through a magazine with disinterest.
“Kay Miller,” I announce to the receptionist with the haughtiness of every snooty Real Housewife I can channel.
The receptionist gives me a practiced smile before scrolling through the tablet on her desk. Seungmin’s hack worked like a charm – she nods when she sees my name and checks me in without batting an eye.
I continue to observe Aja as I pretend to choose a nail color. I settle quickly on a rose gold I think will look nice against my brown skin.
“Your station is ready.” The receptionist stands and pours me a glass of complimentary champagne, then walks me back to the chair next to Aja. Another of Seungmin’s hacks.
“Thank you,” I say, my heart hammering against my chest with a mix of adrenaline and nerves. I take a sip of champagne, hoping it will soothe me.
Squaring my shoulders, I settle into the chair beside her, flashing the attendant a bright smile as I dip my toes into the warm water. Aja pays no attention to me.
After a few minutes, I turn towards her and make my play. “I love your bag,” I gush, nodding to the purse on the table between us. “Is that the Ombre Birkin?” Seungmin had also hacked her recent purchases. Apparently she’d spent over $100k on the bag.
Aja peers at me over her magazine, arching one perfect brow. Her red lips curve into a smile. “Good eye,” she purrs. “I got it last week. Just couldn’t resist.”
“I can see why. It’s fucking stunning and I’m so jealous!” I push the sunglasses to the top of my head and turn to face her. “I'm still trying to find my way around to the best shops in the city." I roll my eyes dramatically. "I don't suppose you have any recommendations for a poor lost soul? I’m Kay, by the way. Just moved here.”
Aja closes her magazine and takes a look at me. “Aja,” she replies, holding out a perfectly manicured hand to shake. “Welcome to the city. I’m from here, but I live in Manhattan now. I’m just home for a few weeks, visiting family and old friends.” Her eyes scan me from head to toe. “You have good taste. Is that a vintage Chanel caviar Kelly bag? 1997?”
I set the bag next to hers. “Yeah, but my mom was the one with good taste though. I inherited the bag from her.”
“That’s not the only thing you inherited. This Louis dress is everything. I tried to buy a similar one a few months ago, but I ended up on the waitlist.”
“My stylist is a fucking miracle worker,” I share with a bright smile, my brain still trying to process the insane connections Felix must have to be able to access these designer looks on short notice. “But sometimes I just want to find my own shit, you know?”
That ignites a spark of interest. Aja tosses the magazine aside, leaning closer with a conspiratorial grin.
"Honey, you've come to the right girl. Stick with me and I'll connect you with the best boutique owners with all the exclusive shit."
“Yes, please!” I beam at her. “I haven’t really found anyone here who meets my style level. And you exceed it, bitch.”
The complement allows Aja to get very comfortable. We talk about our favorite designers and I sound impressive thanks to the crash course Felix gave me an hour ago. As Aja rattles off her favorite boutiques, I ooh and ahh in all the right places. She's clearly in her element – and thoroughly distracted.
“What about spas….and places to go out? I’m dying to check out the club scene.”
“This is the best salon for nails and the Mandarin Oriental has the most amazing spa facilities and services in the city. As for clubs….”
Her phone rings, slicing through our conversation. She brings it to her ear, then excuses herself to waddle on her heels towards the back of the salon.
I seize my chance. I glance around to ensure no one is watching. Then, with a deft move, I pretend to search for something in my bag while I slip the tiny tracker and listening device into one of the small pockets on the inside of her purse. Phase one of the mission is complete.
Aja finishes her call with a huff. She waddles back to her chair, careful not to smudge her paint job. "Sorry about that. Men. Fucking useless; all of them." She picks up her champagne.
"Cheers to that," I mutter, clinking my glass of champagne against hers. "Sometimes I think we're better off without the hassle."
She laughs, a rich, throaty sound. "Oh, I don't know about that. They do have their uses... in the right position." Her eyes glint wickedly.
I force a giggle. “The right position and the inability to speak. No, I don’t want to talk. Just fuck my soul out of me.”
Aja laughs loudly. "I like you," she declares. "I’ve decided you’re my new best friend and we should definitely hang out. There's a great club called Eclipse. Lots of hot, rich men, if you're interested." She winks. “I can get us into VIP. Used to date one of the owners."
"Really? That would be amazing!" I gush, internally cringing at how vapid I sound. But it's working – Aja looks pleased by my eager response.
“How about this Saturday?"
“Count me in,” I say with a grin. “Give me your number.” I hand her the new phone Han got for me.
The nail tech motions for Aja to move towards the air dryers.
She hands the phone back. “Meet me there at 11,” she instructs breezily. “And dress hot!” She winks as she walks towards the front.

Seungmin: The Agent Of Chaos
In the week leading up to the release of Stray Kids' first ever Rolling Stone UK cover, we're sharing our individual interviews with each member from within the magazine. Next up, it's the agent of chaos: Seungmin.
By Joseph Kocharian
On the day of the band’s Rolling Stone UK cover shoot, I notice that Kim Seungmin is always watching, like a curious puppy dog. During the group shot, every time I look over, as Hyunjin spins around in his own world and Bang Chan is busy making sure his ducklings are all in a row, Seungmin is curiously surveying me from afar, cocking his head with his new blunt-fringed acorn haircut. The style suits him well, giving a more mature aesthetic. It has more layers and more depth, just like him.
When we sit down for his solo interview, he takes a closer look at the papers I have spread out in front of me, which list my interview questions for the rest of the group, before pulling back politely. He apologises for his English, even though he is practically fluent, speaking with a soft American lilt, and often asks me questions about myself. His inquisitiveness and smartness, paired with his sharp wit and humour, have always made him an intriguing member of Stray Kids.
He’s quick to make a joke, especially with the rest of the group. “Curious,” he says playfully when asked who is the easiest to wind up. “These days I tease Lee Know a lot; I don’t know why… He’s the easiest target, the most fun. It’s delicious to taste.” There’s a mischievous twinkle in his eye as he says this.
As with Changbin and his girl group dance challenges, Seungmin’s playful spirit is innate, and he doesn’t switch it on for viral social media moments. “I don’t joke around consciously knowing there will be clips around, but when those clips emerge, I just enjoy it even more,” he says.
As much as Seungmin likes to mess about, it’s really only one side of his personality.
Asked what he has learnt about himself on his Stray Kids journey, he says, “About myself? That’s a hard question.” He then pauses to mull it over before saying, “I learnt that I have two personalities — for the group and then for my individual things. At the beginning, I was really shy. You know the [personality test] MBTI, right? I was an ‘I’ [introvert] person, but day by day, as time goes by, both personalities merge and [I] enjoy spending time with the other members.”

Previously, Rolling Stone UK has playfully referred to Seungmin as the group’s ‘agent of chaos’, but like Lee Know, at his core, he’s much more predisposed to order. “I am more inclined to be more organised, but I have spent quite some years with the members, so I’ve gotten used to the chaos. I like to thrive inside the chaotic environment and just joke around and have fun. It’s not a challenge for me.
“Every day still, even if I’m really tired after the [crazy] schedule, I [carve out] my own diary time before I go to bed. It helps me organise every thought, what I have done and what I have learnt that day. I try to organise everything, my feelings and what I have learnt.”
The call of home is, as with the other members, always there. HAN has commented on his bandmate’s longing for a decent meal from home: “Something I find cute just to witness [is] how Seungmin always longs for Korean food, especially when travelling and there is not much of it around. The way he longs for it, he waits for it, the way he asks for it [from] the staff is fun.”

Seungmin backs up HAN’s observation. “I miss the warm energy and good Korean food,” he says, before listing his favourite meal as kimchi stew and rice.
Part of the VOCALRACHA, along with I.N, Seungmin has a sonic blend of soothing, floating vocal tones and powerful high notes that define Stray Kids’ sound. Like the other members of the group, he is not content with being a triple threat, he’s also learning the guitar. He is modest about his progress, though Felix has already endorsed his skills. He doesn’t think he is ready to play the guitar on a track or on stage.
“Someday I’ll do it, but I am still practising,” he says.
Which track would he like to perform? “What would be the easiest one?” he laughs. I propose something emotional. “Ahhh, that’s hard. Perhaps ‘Stars and Raindrops’ by Seungmin,” and he flashes me one more charmingly twinkly grin, unable to resist one last rizz before he bids me farewell.

every time an idol wears something that would get furries and therians bullied in school (i.e XG wearing tails/hats with ears during Woke Up era, Bang Chan/Changbin/Hyunjin wearing tails during the Smart challenge at a fan concert, SKZ wearing ears during fansigns, Yena wearing paw gloves for a performance of NEMONEMO, etc.), it makes me really happy. it kinda feels like it’s being normalized. like during the Woke Up era, a bunch of fans doing dance covers would wear tails or ears without judgement because it was inspired by their idols. i kinda hope this continues.

TEAM UNKNOWN - final meeting solo (697)

what was the hardest part during these five weeks? what about the easiest part?
"Learning a language from scratch was pretty hard. Unlike Japanese, which was another language that was part of my training schedule some months ago, Mandarin is completely unfamiliar to me. I had to take a lot of time outside of the workshops to practice on my own and asked my Mandarin-speaking friends for their assistance. I know for the evaluation, we only had to learn one song, but Mandarin is such a complex language with multiple tones that even one song was a lot of effort to get right. The easiest part must be the acting workshop. I tend to have pretty vibrant expressions in general and am not shy about presenting myself."
what have you learned about yourself during this time?
"I learned that I am smarter than I expected. Academically, I mean. How do I put this...Everyone's born good at some things and not so good at others. I was always great at sports, had fantastic stamina, and was overall socially competent...But like, I failed tests before. My handwriting was so ugly in elementary school that it made my homeroom teacher squint as if she needed a new pair of glasses. The point is, I really didn't think I could learn languages but I am totally doing it. Korean, Japanese, and now Mandarin. You guys are probably used to seeing smart kids who can pick up everything super fast like, but I am kind of proud of myself. Just a little. Guess you can do anything if you just try really hard - the impossible can be done, huzzah!"
how do you see yourself in the current type zero lineup if you are given the chance to debut? what do you want to accomplish from here?
This question sounded familiar. Kind of like the one he answered for NKND. It was so easy back then - words really just flew out of his mouth because he felt so comfortable trying for that opportunity. The reason? Well, they were all trainees. Seyoon didn't think any of the kids in NKND were necessarily way better than him and in fact, to this day, still believed himself to be a better fit than some.
Type Zero, though...That was a group of debuted idols. He'd be trying to cram himself into the big-boys league. What if...what if they hate him? What if Type Zero's loyal fans didn't approve of him? With an older group, the audience already had an expectation. What if he didn't fulfill it? What if he couldn't fulfill it? Maybe the coaches there would be really hard on him too because they'd be used to working with more talented, skill-honed boys and be less sympathetic toward his struggles.
Seyoon was kind of scared and usually when something made him nervous like this, he'd...run away.
But then again, they wouldn't be having this meeting with him if they didn't think he was good enough to have a go, right?
Right?
Ahhh, could somebody just reassure him? Anybody! God? Stepmother? The ghosts of Christmas past?
"I think skill-wise...I am a pretty good fit as a vocalist." He started off somewhat lamely. "I feel like I have proven myself to be a fast learner and as a part of Legacy since 2022, completed all tasks and challenges thrown at me. I am adaptive and can adjust to a pre-existing team dynamic." Probably. If the current Type Zero members would enjoy the company of a loud, overly energetic, hyper-extroverted dude who did not know how to do his own laundry. "Also, I think Coach Changbin mentioned something about Type Zero members needing to be...more entertaining. When it comes to that, I feel like I have a lot of potential. I just started doing more variety and hosting stuff recently, but I think I can become great at it! Maybe I can be on more programs where I am just showing off my personality and making sure everyone's having a good laugh. That would be fun, wouldn't it?" In the end, he just wanted to amuse everyone. Plus get a nice, heavy-ass wallet. Mmmyes, Burberry. Valentino and Givenchy.

Bang Chan
Nightlife S
What began as a spur-of-the-moment event turned into multiple secret meetings between you and Chan. Normally, what you two did remained hidden in the shadows. Today was different though. Today, Chris disregarded the night time activities you two had created.
Ease S*
Chan is stressed. This is not new. When he comes back to the dorm one day on the brink of collapse, you offer your services to relieve him.
If Only I Could Please Her A, F, S*
You were always one to appease your close ones. Friends, partners, family members, everyone; you just wanted them to be happy. Whether you did this because you wanted to or because you feared being the one taken care of is a different story. With Chan, you are still the same, until he decides to change your mind.

You’ve been dating Hyunjin for a while and you haven’t let your insecurities intrude upon your relationship yet. But, with Hyunjin’s idolization of you, it seemed like only a matter of time before they crept in. All you want to do is take care of him, but you think you can never live up to what he deserves. However, when Hyunjin finally hears about how discouraged you feel, he will make sure you know how precious you are to him.
Telepathy F, S
Game night takes a turn when you're coerced to tell your friends your favourite things to do in the bedroom. Albeit embarrassing, you happily spring at the chance to show your non-conservative side. Yet, the truth is, you do so only because you want Hyunjin to see it. Luckily, when you run into him later that night, you realize the embarrassment had been worth it; it's as if he can read your mind as he gives you all you have dreamed of.

Public Display of Affection A, S, F*
You hated Han Jisung. Despite being one of numerous students in a prestigious academy, it felt like he was the only student who challenged your intellect. And it annoyed the hell out of you. He was just as smart, just as talented, and just as competitive—but he didn’t put in a single ounce of work to get where he was. The worst thing about him? The fact that you were wildly attracted to him.

What began as a spa getaway takes a weird turn when Seungmin notices something interesting about the view from his room. A platonic picnic between you and Jeongin takes a strange turn when a friendly food fight becomes an intense battle for dominance. After leaving once he takes it a step too far, you’re stuck with unfamiliar feelings. When you try to take matters into your own hands, however, you find yourself unsuccessful. Luckily, Jeongin feels as though he can help once he sees how truly desperate you are.
Stop Hitting Yourself A, S, F
After four years of high school, you were sick and tired of Yang Jeongin. However, your inexperience with relationships combined with his persistence have you questioning your feelings towards him. Now, in the final stretch of your secondary education, you've somehow been paired up with that brute in a project. Yet, your study plans in the library take a different turn when you let your curiosity (and his perseverance) get the better of you.

“The bracelets will beep at you once when you make it to the coast. They’ll flash twice once you're in the vicinity of Changbin, he’ll meet you on the beach and take you over on a boat. Once it goes off, you have 30 minutes to leave before the coast guard notices you.” Minho relays the instructions for the bracelets to the two girls as they glance over the map.
“And they won’t hesitate to shoot, so it’s best if you leave as soon as possible.”
His eyes move over to Yura, her face is concentrated on the map Chan placed before the girls, with her eyebrows furrowed as she listens intently to the instructions. Usually, at this point, she’d interrupt Minho with something sly to agitate him, but as her eyes lifted up to meet his, a bit confused as to why he paused his instruction, Minho could see that the usual spark of challenge in her eyes was nowhere in sight.
“Nothing smart to add Yura?” He weakly attempts to bait her, trying his best to get a familiar reaction out of the hollow shell of the woman he used to know.
“No. Your instructions are clear. Get there before the coast guard finds us.” Her tone is calm, the only movement is a slight fidget with the knife in her hand.
Minho moves on with his instruction at her response, their time in the room is limited and the escape plan takes priority at the moment. As she moves her eyes back down to the map, he can't help but occasionally glance her way, wondering what exactly happened when she was away to make her retreat so far into herself to become so unrecognizable.
EOF
It was around 04:00 am by the time the girls had made it through the tree line, with the beach right ahead of them. After the altercation with their old friends they both were too anxious to do anything but keep moving, following through with their plan to not stop until they made it to the coast. As they move quietly towards the water, they both squint their eyes looking for some indication of a boat in the water. There’s no way he’d just be waiting on shore, so they figured swimming would be involved as much as they hate it.
“There.”
Rina points out into the darkness, while Yura squints in the general direction until she can see two lights flash quickly from the boat's silhouette not far from them.
That was all the indication she needed before she threw her bag into the sand at her feet, and began securing the knives holstered to her thighs.
“My gun...” Rina says quietly, not realizing she’d have to part with it so early.
Yura snatched it and tossed it on top of their things, Minho’s annoying time warning echoing through her brain.
“I’m sure we’ll get you a new one at some point.”
Her sister frowned slightly before securing her own blades tighter to her body. She knows Yura’s right and there’s no time to be sentimental, but Rina built that gun… a luxury not a lot of people in their academy had. As serious as Yura’s attachment to her favorite dual blades, this pistol was similar, it was Rina’s baby. She’s familiar with it, and now she’ll have to get used to a new weapon. A part of Rina knows that these childish thoughts will get them nowhere, after all, Yura also had to leave a few of her favorite weapons behind to make this journey easier. Rina decides to push them aside, following after her partner, wading into the water quietly trying their best to not make a sound.
They begin their swim toward the boat when their bracelets start to flash, the indicator that they are in Changbin’s vicinity. A promising sign until about half way from the boat, they break the surface for a breath of air. Only to be greeted by a blaring spotlight and bullets zipping overhead and into the water.
“Shit!” Rina calls out, her arms moving her faster through the current, leaving her sister a few paces behind.
A red siren is blaring and what seems like a dozen voices are yelling from a distance. Both girls begin to swim faster toward the boat, knowing it’s only a matter of time before the coastguard catches up to them… wherever they are.
With Rina swimming ahead now, her brain is focused on one thing only and that is to make it to the safety of Changbin’s boat. Her arms finally reach the edge, quickly greeted by Changbin’s forearm. She takes it as he pulls her up into the boat.
“Quick, grab your sister so we can get the fuck out of here!”
His voice is harsh as he holds his own firearm and shoots out in the direction of the bullets flying at them. Rina scrambles to the side of the boat, her eyes scanning the dark water briefly before landing on her sister's figure. Yura is moving a bit slower than before, but she finally reaches the boat and as the younger girl struggles to pull herself over, her eyes go wide and lock with Rina. Her wet body is pulled into the boat while Changbin finally revs the high powered motor to life. He tosses his gun onto the seat behind him and steers the high speed boat into the direction of safety while Rina takes in her sister's condition. Yura’s body was eerily still as she finally let out a loud groan of pain. Rina’s hands run over her limp figure, doing her best to check for any injuries in the dark when she finally feels the sticky warmth of blood on her hands that’s definitely not hers.
“Shit, shit, shit!” Rina says to herself, the wind whipping by them fast as Changbin speeds through the night.
Yura had been shot just under her shoulder blade as she was climbing aboard. With further examination, Rina turned her grimacing body, and noticed that her arm had also gotten nicked before while swimming.
“Why didn’t you say anything?!” Rina seethes out to her partner as her mind shifts into first aid mode, her eyes spot a random cloth lying in the boat. Rina’s quick to snatch it and tear a piece of fabric off, using it to tie up her wounds long enough to keep her from bleeding out.
Changbin’s eyes glance over to the two towards the front of the boat. From Rina’s loud outburst he knew something happened. Upon releasing the cause, he let out a frustrated swear word of his own.
“My bad, I was kinda busy trying to survive.” Yura mumbles out before glancing at her arm wound, that’s definitely gonna hurt like a bitch if she doesn’t get treated soon.
After Rina’s makeshift bandages were in place, they ride in silence for a while. Changbin had lost the coast guards a couple miles ago, and finally shifts his focus back over to the girls again. His eyes scan their bodies with a worrisome expression. Though he doesn’t exactly know what they went through to get to the beach, it must have been a lot more than what they planned for. One sister looked… exhausted, while the other tries her hardest to stay conscious, allowing Rina to switch out the makeshift bandages across her back and arm. He’s heard stories about the endurance levels of the Chois, hell- he’s fought both of them in numerous combat competitions yet they still have the ability to amaze him every time.
“Hey two tits!” Yura calls out to him, pulling him from his own thoughts.
Her voice is quiet and her tone gives away the amount of pain she is in. Not failing to use another one of the many nicknames she likes to call him, finding them more fitting than his name. Through the darkness she can see the worried eyes of her old friend on the two of them. The look of concern was a bit too much for the injured girl to handle at the moment, especially with this being the first time in 9 months that Yura was able to see her favorite sparring partner.
“How much longer to shore? Ya know, before I bleed out and die on this disgusting boat."
“Yura!” Rina gives her a pointed look while adjusting her bandages in which the battered girl responds with a weak shoulder shrug.
“There’s a deserted island in the middle where we’ll camp out for the night, and treat you.”
He points out in the direction the boat was going, and the girls see the slight silhouette of land in the distance.
“Just hang on for the next thirty minutes or so?” He voices his worry for her in that small sentence. She gathers all the remaining strength she can to lift her arm, giving him a small salute, her mouth feeling a bit too heavy to move.
Yura’s groans became less frequent the closer they got to shore. It was when she went completely silent approaching the island, that the two kick their instincts into high gear. Changbin makes it to the dock and ties the speedboat off quickly, before climbing back into the boat to grab Yura.
“Ya! Seungmin-ah!” He scoops up a pale looking Yura bridal style as his feet carry him quickly across the beach with Rina right on his tail.
The shack door busts open at the sound of Changbin’s calls revealing a brunette man with a slight frown, who looked to be close to their age.
“Quick. Inside!” He calls as the two rush into the rickety building.
Seungmin moves past the worn down couch to clear the wooden table toward the back of the shack, as Changbin lays her body down abruptly, Yura lets out a strangled groan at the sudden motion.
“Noise. A good sign.” The new guy comments as he scans over her injured arm quickly. “We’ll have to flip her so I can see what I’m working with.”
He glances at the other girl in the room quickly. Rina’s nerves are all over the place as she watches Changbin flip Yura’s body, subconsciously she takes her bottom lip in her mouth in an attempt to calm herself. The eldest Choi’s eyes hold worry, guilt, and pain seeing her sister there on the table, struggling to keep consciousness. They were fighting so much leading up to this impromptu decision. Their entire journey to this point was spent tip-toeing around each other, not exactly knowing how to talk to one another almost as if they were strangers. Rina’s a bit embarrassed that it’s taken Yura being halfway to death for her to get a grip on her emotions toward her sister.
“You’d better fix my sister.” Her tone is sharp as her eyes glare at Seungmin while he removes the bandages from Yura’s back, the red soaked bandages fall to the ground with a thud.
“Well, that is the plan.” He scoffs at her, ignoring the (not so) empty threat before glancing between the two. “I need one of you to grab the black bag from the back room please.”
His tone is calm as though there wasn’t a dying girl on the table before him. Bangchan mentioned that these girls would be an important part of their mission, although he was only given the shortened version of this plan, Seungmin went to 2PM’s academy long enough to know of the famous ‘Choi Twins’, and definitely knew not to let one of them die. Rina studies the new guy briefly before nodding at his request, leaving quickly to retrieve the bag.
Changbin stands over Yura, squeezing her hand briefly. Their relationship was built on their friendly competitiveness through combat competitions and the back and fourth of insults and tough love over the past few years. He may never admit it out loud, but he considered Yura to be one of his closest friends and he’d very much like it if his friend would be able to live through all of this.
“Don’t die on us yet, Hotshot.” He mumbles softly to her as Rina returns with Seungmin’s bag.
Deciding to give Seungmin some space to work, Changbin brings Rina with him outside, so she can get some much needed fresh air. He could only withstand so much of the ever growing tenseness in the room, while Rina watched Seungmin as he poked and prodded at her sister's wounds. Changbin was quick in getting her out of there, telling her that they had to make sure the boat was secure and prepared for their next departure.
The early signs of sunrise are in the sky as they fill up the boat with fuel, and stock it with the extra supplies from Seungmin’s shack.
“I half expected to see you at the Gala, I know you live for parties like that.” Rina says to him quietly, which earns a chuckle from the man next to her.
The two stand on the dock near the boat. Changbin is siphoning fuel to the boat's tank, his toned back muscles strained underneath his black muscle t-shirt, and the usual black cargo pants he always wore hugging him nicely. Pulling off the pretty standard men’s uniform for 2PM’s agents quite well.
“I’ve been busy with ‘Operation: World Domination’. Though I did hear from a little birdy about a little confession that happened before you left the party.” He glances at her, wiggling his eyebrow, his voice holding a teasing tone as he watches the girl blush at the comment.
“Oh, he told you guys about that?” Rina busies herself with loading some supplies to keep from showing Changbin her flustered expression.
“Actually, his comms were on when he confessed and Jisung overheard everything. Apparently, he and Yura have been waiting years for this to happen… along with the rest of us I suppose.” He finishes filling up the boat, wiping his hands on his pants before glancing at her with a smile.
Rina’s head glances back towards the shack instinctively at the mention of her sister’s name, the memory of their moment from the gala easily forgotten and replaced by the worry for her partner.
Changbin notices the shift in her demeanor and drops the container in his hand, pulling Rina to him for a hug. He knows the feeling of being worried out of your mind for someone you care about, and not being able to do anything about it. The boys were his family and even in their team, they’ve had many close calls that he himself had to sit through and anticipate the worst news possible.
“We’re gonna be together for a while Rina, your burdens might as well be mine.” He rubs her back softly. “Yura’s gonna be okay.”
With the kind words and sudden feeling of affection from her old friend, Rina can’t help but release a sigh of relief that she’d been trying her hardest to hide, as she hugs him back.
“I know I'm not Christopher Bang, but he’d kill me if I let you sit out here and worry like this. I hope this hug at least helps some.” He jokes softly before pulling apart from her. His hands come to rest on her sagging shoulders to look her in the eye.
She looks at him with a kind smile as a ‘thank you’. Though their groups hung out often, it was rare for Rina and Changbin to get a chance to talk amongst themselves. Knowing that he cared about their friendship just as much as he did the others’ warmed her heart.
“Hey, If Chan included us in this plan… why didn’t you ask about bringing Jihyo?”
The question burned in the back of her mind for a while, only moving to the forefront after the run-in in the forest.
He removes his arms from her shoulders, releasing a sigh of his own as his hands move to sink into his pockets.
“I know her rank in your class. I also know her strengths and weaknesses. What I didn't know was what you two would be subjected to during your escape, and… everyone knows you and Yura can handle whatever is thrown at you. Jihyo is a very skilled tracker… the best if you ask me, but I also know she has a much softer heart than ‘Athena and Ares’. She doesn’t have the protection of being a ‘District 9 Favorite’. If she defected and got caught… I couldn’t live with myself.” His voice trails off as his focus shifts to the crashing waves around them.
“You wanted to protect her.” Rina says softly, breaking his speech down in her own head.
He nods his head at her response. Jihyo’s safety was always in his mind, even if it didn’t seem like it.
“The school sent her and Ryujin to stop us along the way. Yura almost slit her throat, but we found out the reason they came and she came to her senses. It hurt to leave them behind, but I hope after this is all over Chan will consider letting them join us. They’re struggling there just as much as we did.”
Changbin’s eyes move to Rina’s at the mention of Jihyo possibly joining when things are settled. When she mentions her idea, he's glad he's not the only one who plans to get such a skilled tracker on their team at some point.
"We'll get your girl back, Binnie, I promise.” Rina nudges his shoulder with her own gently. He was right earlier, from this point on they’re a team and his burdens are hers too now.
They stand there in comfortable silence as they take a moment to admire the sun as it begins to rise over the ocean before them, both lost in their own thoughts before Rina speaks up quietly.
“When will we be leaving?”
“Depending on how well Yura’s doing after Seungmin is done, will determine when we leave.” Changbin continues as they finish up preparing the boat.
“And if the coast guard finds us?” Rina asks out loud, her eyes glancing over the lightening horizon.
“Then we load her up and run like hell.”
After finishing up with the speed boat, they make their way inside. Seungmin stands with his back to them, putting away his supplies as Yura sits up on the wooden table. Her face is still quite pale from the blood loss, with sweat gathered across her forehead. Her shirt had been completely discarded in a trash bag somewhere. So there she sat, only in her sports bra and leggings, chewing on a random granola bar that Seungmin gave her to keep her energy up. The doctor cleaned both of her wounds and also put her left arm into a makeshift sling, and properly wrapped her right shoulder. There were a couple of bandages wrapped around her torso also extending over the right shoulder to keep her wound covered.
Rina walks over to her now alert sister quickly. Even though she was visibly doing better than how she looked when they first arrived, Rina can’t help but glance over her injuries again, noting the bandages and sling.
“You’re alive.” Rina says, relieved. Her voice was small, causing Yura to offer a weak smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
“It’s gonna take more than a few bullets to kill me, Nini.” Her own voice sounded quite hoarse. Since Seungmin’s supplies were limited in the shack, she had to endure all of Seungmin’s poking and prodding while conscious, only able to use a towel to bite down on for the pain.
“The bullet hit her right shoulder blade. From what I could see, it’s not deep so once we make it to our actual hideout location, I can put her under anesthesia and remove it to start the recovery process.”
Seungmin voices to Changbin and Rina upon their arrival.
“As for her arm, I was able to clean out the bullet residue and stitch it up. It looked a lot worse than what it was because of all the blood. She also had a broken rib that needed to be set in place, but that’ll just take time to heal.” He glances at Rina with his hands resting in his pockets. “I can also look you over when we get back. I can only imagine what pain you’re trying to hide.”
“Thanks Doc.” Rina responds softly, though she knows there are truly no words to express how grateful she is that he was able to take such good care of her sister.
“Can she move?” Changbin asks, his eyes on the sisters as he leans against the wall with his arms crossed.
“Well Mommy Milkers, I don’t think I really have a choice now, do I?” Yura tells him from the table. Her mood seems a bit more bubbly than usual. She finished the last of her snack before shuffling to the edge of the table. With the help of her sister, she places her feet on the ground, standing before everyone.
“Besides, Doc gave me some painkillers to hold me over for a couple of hours.” She gestures to the man behind her before moving slowly over to where Changbin stands. One arm swings by her side while the other rests carefully in the sling.
“He’ll be on the boat with us to change my bandages when needed, he said it’s about a 2 hour boat ride to the compound.” Rina is a few feet behind her, watching Yura’s injured body carefully in case she decides to drop at any point.
Yura pats Changbin’s shoulder in greeting before moving towards the front door. Although she has a noticeable limp, Rina can tell she’s got more pep in her step than earlier that morning.
“Sooo, let’s stop the chit chat and get our asses out of here.” She glances over her shoulder at the three in the cabin, sending them a knowing smirk as she steps out and walks onto the beach and towards the readied boat.
Rina shrugs her shoulders at the boys before taking off behind her sister, scolding her for moving too quickly after barely surviving the injuries from earlier. Their light bickering fades the closer they get to the dock along the beach.
“They’re an interesting duo.” Seungmin says to Changbin as he takes his black bag in his hand and heads out the door.
“You have no idea.” He retorts.
As the small group finally leaves the wooden shack, Changbin strikes a match and tosses it towards the wooden building, he and Rina already taking it upon themselves to douse the perimeter of the shack in lighter fluid earlier. Given the already rickety state of the building it wouldn’t take much more than that to guarantee all that would be left by noon would be a mound of smoking ash.
With the four of them all safely on the boat, Changbin speeds off into the direction of China while the others watch as the smoke of the shack gets smaller and smaller in the distance.

When He Lays Down On Your Butt ~ Stray Kids Reaction
Chan:
“Y/N!” A voice whined as you felt the bed dip, glancing back to see Chan laid out across the bed, shuffling towards you.
“What?” You laughed, keeping a close eye on him as he moved forwards, positing himself comfortably against your lower back, resting his head above your bum. “What are you doing?”
He chuckled, unable to hide his smile as he looked up at you, “I just wanted a cuddle from you, but this was the only way I thought I couldn’t disturb you.”
“You thought laying on my butt wouldn’t be distracting?” You laughed, “this is probably the most distracting thing you could’ve possibly done.”
A light blush graced his cheeks, “I didn’t know what else to do, I just wanted a hug.”
“Why didn’t you just say so?” You continued to challenge, nudging your bum up to make him jolt, “I’m not really doing anything anyway, all you had to do was ask.”
“Alright, Y/N, can I have a cuddle?”
“I thought you’d never ask.”
Minho:
“Babe,” a voice chirped, throwing themselves down so they laid across your bum. Straight away you recognised the little giggles that came as Minho’s.
“Yes,” you laughed, feeling his hands rest against both your cheeks, “either you want something, or you’ve done something, so which is it?” You asked, watching his expression change.
A gasp came from him as he looked up at you, “I can’t believe you’d think I would have to do something to cuddle you. Can’t a guy just cuddle his girlfriend?”
“Most guys aren’t like you though,” you joked, “most guys don’t get themselves into trouble every time their girlfriend looks away from them.
His hand jabbed into your bum, “you really underestimate me sometimes, I just wanted to be with you.
“I’m still suspicious,” you groaned, feeling his body spread further around your back, “but I guess seeing as you’re comfortable, it would be rude of me to move you.”
“I wouldn’t let you move me anyway.”
“You’re not challenging me, are you?”
Changbin:
“There you are,” he smiled, having walked all the way around the house to find you, taking off his shoes and jacket.
“How was work?” You asked, but you got no response. You could tell however that something was strong straight away as he laid down and settled himself just above your butt.
He sighed, finally speaking once he’d made himself comfortable. “Today was just a bit rubbish, I got nothing done that I wanted to, it was all just a mess.”
“At least you’re home now,” you grinned, trying hard to make him feel better, “and hopefully laying on my bum can make you feel a bit better too.”
A light giggle came from him, “I know it makes no sense, but just go with me.”
“I’m not complaining,” you laughed, “if it’s my butt you need to make you feel better after a long day, then I don’t see any issues.”
“You’re the best, do you know that?”
“You’ve mentioned it once or twice.”
Hyunjin:
“Enjoying yourself?” You questioned as Hyunjin’s hands continued to tap against your bum. “Am I an instrument now?”
“Not quite,” he grinned, “but I have to say your butt does make quite a good drum for when I’m trying to think of a song, I might have to take you with me to the studio from now on.”
Your eyes rolled back at him, “I don’t see the fascination with a butt, we all have one. Yet somehow, you’re just always around mine, it’s like you’re obsessed.”
“I am a bit,” he admitted, “but I can’t help it, your butt is just so…wow. You’ve got a good butt,” he stated, looking from your eyes.
Your laughter grew as you spotted how nervous he became, “don’t start getting shy now!”
“Stop looking at me then,” he called out, “just let me go back to making music on your butt, there’s nothing wrong with it anyway. You just relax and close your eyes.”
“You make it sound so easy.”
“It is, I promise I won’t annoy you.”
Han:
“Jisung,” you whispered, peering back past your shoulder to see his eyes firmly closed as he laid out across your butt.
You frowned, shaking lightly to make him jolt, “yeah,” he muttered, slowly opening his eyes to look up at you. “Has something happened? Why do you want to wake me up?”
You couldn’t help but laugh at his sleeping state, “I just thought you’d be uncomfortable laying there when you could lay on a pillow instead.”
“Well then you clearly underestimate how comfortable your bum is,” he chuckled, “this is the best nap I’ve had in a very long time.”
Your eyes glanced at him in disbelief, “please tell me you’re joking, are you serious?”
“Of course, I’m being serious. I don’t know why I didn’t lay here sooner,” he grinned, laying his back down on your butt, “I’m not moving, ever.”
“How is that possibly logical?”
“I’ll make it work; you’ll see.”
Felix:
“Are you busy?” Felix questioned as he laid down on the bed, positioning himself on top of your bum as soon as he was close enough.
“That depends on what you want,” you laughed in response, feeling the vibrations of his light giggles run across your body. “I don’t suppose you’re enjoying yourself laying down on my bum?”
A crimson blush soon appeared on his freckled cheeks, “whilst I do love your butt, I am also very hungry. So, I just thought I’d come up and see if you wanted to make dinner soon?”
“But I’m comfy here,” you whined, “and so are you. Why don’t we just order takeout just for tonight and then we can stay here without having to move?”
His head nodded, “what happens when we have to answer the door though?”
“That’s the perk of living with seven other guys, we get one of them to go,” you stated, watching his eyes light up, “I’m sure one of them will do it?”
“See, you’re so much more than a pretty face.”
“I can be smart too, sometimes.”
Seungmin:
“Seungmin, stop,” you sighed, feeling the continuous jab of his hand into your bum as you tried to focus on the book you were reading
“What can I do to get your attention?” He cried out, pouting softly up at you as you looked back at him, “I’ve been laying here patiently for ages, but now I just want a hug from you.”
Your eyes rolled, closing off your book. “You’ve been laying on my bum for the past hour playing all sorts of music, what more could you want from me?”
“A kiss wouldn’t go a miss,” he blushed, covering his cheeks with his hands. “Because I am your boyfriend, so I do think I deserve most of your attention.”
You stared down at him, “how can I kiss you when you’re all the way down there?”
“You’ve got a point,” he laughed, “but as comfortable as your bum is, I’d much prefer to be up there with you and cuddling you closely.”
“I’ve finished my book for the day, so I’m all yours.”
“Finally! Seungmin gets what he wants!”
Jeongin:
“Oops,” you heard a voice whimper as a head graced over your bum. You looked back and noticed the bright red blush on Jeongin’s face.
“What are you doing?” You asked as he shuffled further away from you, “are you really nervous just because you touched my bum? You’ve touched it before, remember?”
He nodded shyly, “I just didn’t mean to that time, and I didn’t want to make you a bit uncomfortable. Sorry, I meant to just lay beside you, I promise.”
“Jeongin, it’s no big deal,” you quickly assured him, “although, if you wanted to lay on my butt, I wouldn’t have a problem with it, as long as you don’t.”
The shade on his cheeks darkened, “are you sure that you’d be alright with that?”
“I just said so, didn’t I? And seeing as you just did it now, you already know what it feels like,” you teased, “just lay down and see if you’re comfortable.”
“I already know I’ll be comfortable on your bum.”
“So, relax, it’s no big deal, I promise.”
