Okay, y’all, US Amazon must be running a deal with Harlequin because I’ve never seen the box price of the Darkest Court this low. $1.99 for the whole series.

If you need some queer joy and HEAs in this time of utter fucking emotional turmoil, please take advantage of this deal while you can. I don’t get to set my prices (Harlequin does), I don’t usually know when they make changes (people tell me and I share when there are good deals), and I don’t give two shits if you want to get this set over purchasing the individual books. Please share this out so others can access them as well. I have no idea how long this sale lasts!

I just got an email today stating that Zlibrary is requiring payment to continue using their "free" book services. This website was my primary means of getting free textbooks and literature. This enraged me so much to the point I am creating a list of all the free and/or cheap places to access books. This list will be updated periodically. time to spread the good word. literally not an ad, but if y'all want CHEAP AS FUCK BOOKS go to thriftbooks. im not even kidding. im starting grad school again in a month (!!) and I bought 5/17 books on there for like $40 (instead of the projected, like, 200 from the bookstore). I've also gotten just, like, normal books on there too. they usually come used and I got a copy of Maurice one time with a ton of annotations in it (which was dope, but most of them don't have that).

seein ads on this beloved hellsite for amaz*n books. booooo. if at all possible (and i know it's not for many people), pls get ur books indie!! it'll be a little slower and a little more expensive (bezos.com intentionally sells books below publishing price to try to kill its competitors a.k.a. every lgbtqiaBIPOCmesa-owned and employing indie bookstore), but holy shit the quality of life you are creating for indie employees and as an act of resistance against mega-corporate dystopic working conditions cannot be understated. im trans and could not possibly transition in a less proactively affirmative workplace!! i am so lucky this place is here and can provide healthcare for me!

to find bookstores around you, try indiebound and for the midwest, you can check MIBA (they have a cute illustrated road map!!) you can find their website and place an order (they will recommend pretty good books, too.)

for people who need low budget items: try biblio.com, a database of used books currently available at indie bookstores all across what is currently called america

there is also thriftbooks.com but they are no longer independent. however, supporting the used bookstore they source from is still better and probably cheaper than the EvilCorp

Coursera isn't free but it is $400 a year which is loads better than most colleges (not to sound like an ad but they're also 50% off til 1/27 every year) and they help you find a job for whatever you took. They also have self paced for some of the courses and also have certifications so you also don't need to get a whole degree
