#umineko#umineko spoilers#ikuko hachijo#ikukos turn for a more serious piece... the old man has reigned for too long#now. INCREDIBLY LONG INCOHERENT TAGS RANT INCOMING FAIR WARNING HAS BEEN GIVEN:#it makes me so so sad how little discussion there is about specifically ikuko because imho she fits so neatly into a lot of the more#overarching Big Themes of the game in a way that i have not ever really seen people take notice of or point out in a meaningful way#like even just off of the top of my head. the significance of names and what it means to go by a name that's Not Yours (she has like 4+)#what it Means to be a witch how it represents a person's deepest insecurities and flaws & how its at its core a coping mechanism#the fact that it takes two to create a universe and trying to do it on your own anyways has the capacity to bring you intense misery#^ (how she's shown to be extremely dismissive of her own work and skill until a collaborator comes into her life and helps/encourages her)#and even the family/patriarchy/misogyny stuff that is so prevalent in the rest of the game comes back around to her. even her Only Friend#(young&stupid atp to be fair) remarks that shes Weird for being unmarried + the little she does say about her past invites the question of#to what extent her self-image stems from her family deeming her a freak outcast & effectively disowning her while celebrating her brothers#and i have lot in my mind about the witch thing specifically because i think her particular situation is very reflective of what umineko's#entire magic system and fantasy facet as a whole is meant to represent for an individual. from what little we see of (what is presumably)#her Real personality she is shown to be deeply self conscious in a way that is JARRINGLY diametrically opposed to both 1.) what we see in#featherine and 2.) what we see when she is acting as a Public Figure. because both of the above are very much purposeful acts that she is#putting on in order to obfuscate her true self. and i have always been very resolute & adamant about not totally equating her to featherine#not only because im very firmly in the camp of “featherine is the avatar of the Pen Name & tohya is part of her too” but also very much b/c#i feel very strongly that the stark differences between the two are very centrally relevant to her character & her psyche. as is the case#with most other witches featherine's personality traits serve to reveal/magnify a lot of ikukos inner workings by playing on her#insecurities/reversing them e.g. ikuko being very quick to downplay her skill/achievements becomes featherine being the COMPLETE opposite#to the point where she barely registers even other witches as living beings rather than just fun touys. BUT even though i do champion the#ikuko/featherine separation so hard i ALSO think it is purposefully relevant that at first glance the line between them seems so blurry#her introduction implying a more nebulous separation between her reality/fantasy counterpart is i think is an intentional move on her part#like it is part of the front she is putting up when acting as the Author. as opposed to Ikuko the person who we (in a way ironically very#similar to the way that the Real Battler is presumably only shown during the boatscene) only very briefly get to see take up screentime#which even on a meta level lines up very well with her apparent underlying nature as a like. extremely private largely reserved/shy person#hit tag limit but if by some miracle anyone is still reading this thank you... please see ikuko with the love she deserves... ok ily byeee

man and re: the guy who owes me tens of thousands of dollars. that's not even counting the labor I did for him. and the utter lack of credit I get for being instrumental in building His Whole Thing like ... I did almost all the behind the scenes "soft labor" stuff for that initially, the networking, the community building, seeking out potential stud dogs, paying for transportation or other breeding related costs, helping with screening ppl for puppy placement, just the TALKING and social component, running the FB group. helping raise the puppies. uncompensated of course. did you know who came up with the name for it. LMAO. meeeeee
I avoided talking about this in any way for so long because I didn't want it to be perceived as some kind of call-out post or some kind of dogbook vague blog backbiting bullshit. and partially bc I'm sure if he saw it he would have Stories about how this was All Okay Actually or I Was Mean Too. but actually as it turns out I am allowed to talk about experiences that I had with a person that deeply impacted my life on my own fucking blog. :)

since people seem to like the post I made of Petey and Lil' Petey talking about Petey's mother, I decided I might as well upload one of my other favourite page sequences - this time from Cat Kid Comic Club: Collaborations.
I think there's something especially poignant about Poppy saying the others 'can borrow her purpose until they figure out their own' - because as much as all of us always want to come up with our own reason for doing something, there's also a reason why we seek out help and advice in friends, family, etc, you know?

#dog man#cat kid#cat kid comic club#cat kid comic club collaborations#dav pilkey#spark talks about nothing of relevance#i don't know - I'm a firm believer in this effect too so it speaks to me#and i like how well it's conveyed for kids to understand here#also once again sorry they're phone quality photos lmao - i tried my best with one hand!

Okay but reading Eve's story in the comics when she goes to "Africa" to use her powers to "help" as someone familiar with sustainable service and history of the negative effects of western "aid" just made me
#invincible#atom eve#i understand that it was not meant to be realistic#and it was probably supposed to show that she was naive and didnt know how to help people irl#but god it made me so frustrated!!!!#she just went to a random place and put a house there! (colonizer)#“every time i try to help it seems like things get worse” no sh*t!!!!#if you give people free food it tanks the economy!!!!#she didnt even go to a refugee camp she just went to a village she thought looked poor!!!!#she should have tried to collaborate with established local service organizations#let them lead her in how to maximize her effectiveness#she could have done so much sustainable good if she defered to the people with experience!!!#god it still makes me mad

depending on how much of mark and nolan's conversation was both audible and televised it's possible that people worldwide saw omni-man talking to his mixed-race son about how "his people" should really be subjugated by the viltrumite empire for their own good and went oh. so omni-man is a murderer AND he's racist
#bolo liveblogs#invincible#I think the tension of the whole white imperialist alien dad/mixed-race son expected to either collaborate with or disavow that imperialism#situation is effective how it is in canon as something that isn't explicitly addressed but still allowed to just LOOM over the plot.#but like. I do wish they'd directly address it. please. you can let amber say something I think she could do it

thing is. i am so afraid of putting posts in main tags. i know i should get over that fear but somehow it's scarier on tumblr where ppl can search your posts and not like on twt where your posts kinda drown out after a while even if it got like 15k views or more.
in general, friction against others is so, so scary help. I feel like there is such a pressure in fandom to avoid anyone you disagree with, lest you spark drama that gets out of hand. I'm always worried about upsetting someone else. I know i can't make myself likable to everyone but i still like to try.
That and i somehow always end up disagreeing with mhyk accounts on twt that have a big follower acc and that's SCARY sorry i know i am repeating myself here
Lifts you up and spins you around and puts you back on the ground so gently. Honestly, yes, it is scary to put your thoughts out there, I get it. It took me a pretty long while to get comfortable with it and even then, quite a few times I'll try to get around my discomfort with knowing it's going to be seen by others by tagging the character with the series (so owen mahoyaku), because then I'm not /really/ main-main tagging, but it will still show up if someone plain searched mahoyaku.
I've typed and retyped this like three times today, because I have a lot of thoughts about it, so my apologies if I lost track of a sentence or two someplace. But I think it is exactly because it is scary and uncomfortable that we should try to push through it, not even in a "it's good for the fandom to have people speak" way but that it is a challenge to yourself.
Friction is scary, yes, but friction gets less scary the more you've had run-ins with people you've disagreed with and engaged in discussion with them. I don't think anyone who is posting theories in any fandom at the moment would be upset if someone disagreed with them and told them that as long as they were respectful and explained why - that opens it into a discussion, it allows alternative viewpoints in and possibly helps the OP strengthen their theory.
There's kind of like two sides of fandom to me for active participants - the transformative fanworks (fanart, fanfics, headcanons) and the "canonical" fanworks - fanworks that are more meta-based; the theories, the character analysis', the small details that people notice. And I think there's been a kind of blending between the etiquette of these two categories that has led to this feeling of being in a powder keg. It'd be rude to engage with a transformative fanwork you disagree with/dislike - that's not what they're there for - but canonical fanworks are meant to be discussed and thought about. I personally would rather get disagreement than get no response at all on a piece of meta I wrote. I think there are more people who would say the same than the reverse.
Even still, I know a lot of fandom has been kind of built off of the shackles of twitter fandom - and twitter isn't a place that encourages discussion. It is algorithmically built to show you things you hate, because it knows that rage is a powerful emotion to elicit to get people to keep earning the corporation $$ - things are just, different here on tumblr. There's more tools to facilitate discussion (here, you're on anon! i have no clue who you are! hi stranger! - maybe you would have still sent this ask without that option of anonymity, but likely not, right?), tags allow for better blocking of things people don't like, we're not character-limited so we can be precise in what we say, rather than chop it down into a chunk of text that can be misinterpreted. Tumblr is, for all we've been irony poisoned, a platform that is meant to be more sincere; the algorithm is a relatively new feature, and it is optional. Here, you can only see what you seek out.
because of that, too, even though I don't know a lot of the mhyk fandom on tumblr personally (or even very well?) I don't think there will be the same kind of wide-spread drama that could occur on twitter - or the same wide-spread drama that has occurred in the biggest of big fandoms here. imo, fandoms are bridges between people, and while some will always seek to burn them down, others will still seek to build them - but there has to be some foundation, some direction, for them to start building in the first place. Otherwise we just remain islands, far apart.
I don't think I've ever been as hard in on a fandom as I am now with our dear wizards, I mean, I changed a url I've had for a near decade to make it owen themed. So I want to help foster that bridge-building, however I can.
Stepping away from fandom-talk for a second - I do sincerely think it is to your benefit to put yourself out there. Your posts aren't going to cause a schism; your thoughts, your love that goes into articulating a post - those are all valuable things. And the more you find yourself having friction with others, the easier it is navigate when it is something offline where friction is completely unavoidable. The more comfortable you get with being uncomfortable, with doing something you're afraid to do, the better off you wind up being, because the world begins to open up. As to upsetting people... just as you can't make yourself likable to everyone (and believe me, I tried for a very long time - sometimes, I find myself falling back into those habits again still), that will happen regardless of our intentions. Even when it sucks, even when you know you didn't mean to; it happens. Although, I do think most people's reactions would be to just scroll on by if they didn't like a post. Maybe they'll remember the take, but they won't remember you specifically. (is that better or worse..? I find the pseudo-anonmity of the tumblr space soothing... and I only remember the takes that I've talked about because they were particularly mind-boggling to me; but I couldn't even tell you the account that had posted them on twt ) Learning how to apologize, how to disengage when you get upset - these are important skills that can only really be learned by doing, you know? in the wise words of @ / soracities "do it scared do it stupid do it badly whatever it is that’s worth doing, that’s worth anything at all, we do it. be it scared be it stupid be it badly. the sincerity remains the same."
#mhyk#mahoyaku#promise of wizard#sorry team i guess this isnt so wizard related but i dont know if anon is a follower or not so everyone gets to read it#im going to grab this hand that has been outstretched with all i got#unlike a certain wizard in the white day 2024 event#kachow i did it i made it wizard related#fandom meta#i couldve yapped for ages btw i love talking about the state of fandom#fandom is a collaborative space to me fundamentally#this didnt even really go into how the size of the fandom effects everything#twt mhyk is much bigger than tumblr mhyk fandom#and thats a good thing god willing

14, 17, and 23 :)
Wahh thanks pal :D
14. What were your go-to writing songs?
Lots of Deco*27, Kenshi Yonezu, Eve, and other various jpop artists – upbeat songs with lyrics that don’t tempt me to sing along are my go-to! When I did need something a bit calmer, I liked finding extended UTDR tracks to vibe to. Castle town and Fucking. Rouxls Kaard shop really hit the spot a lot 😂
17. Share your favorite opening line
I feel like I have opening paragraphs/sections that I really like, but there are fewer individual opening lines that felt the same. Three of my favorites:
Mikoto was no criminal. (< guy who murdered people.)
You are always, always talking about yourself.
Mikoto could pick up on someone’s bad mood from a mile away, though the skill was unnecessary when the other party very clearly and calmly informed him, “I’m in a bad mood.”
23. If you had to choose one, what was THE most satisfying writing moment of your year?
There were a few moments of feedback/collaboration that come to mind, but it feels braggy to talk about that lol so I’ll stick with an actual writing process thing. Although it’ll probably still take another fucking year of progress, but I started a choose-your-own adventure fic and it’s felt like a huge accomplishment to explore and succeed in a new writing medium out of my usual comfort zone!
#i know you know who mikoto is at this point asdfsd but the clarification was still funny to me#it was so wild looking through how many one shots id written this year :0#and yeah i have a whole playlist of ~100 songs i loop on like a daily basis asdfsdf#i can share if anyones curious but thats the gist of it lol#the 'you are always talking about yourself' fic actually isnt written in second person pov which is part of the reason i like the line#and im always adding in cheesy bookends to fics but that one has been one of the most satisfying i think#adding my braggyness down here lol but it was always such a special feeling when collaborating with friends#seeing art/writing inspired from mine#i just about died when my favorite cover singer sang my translyrics for my birthday#getting into the zine and seeing my printed fic was a huge experience#and ive received a few heartfelt comments about the effect my writing had on someone that reminded me why i love the craft so much#thanks for the questions :D#ask

KATATOKI Teaser | Yojiro Noda x J.I.D Listen to WONDER BOY'S AKUMU CLUB here !!
#katatoki#野田洋次郎#yojiro noda#j.i.d#wonder boy's akumu club#音楽#gif#my gifs#this may only be a teaser but we do indeed have a full version of katatoki now !!! >:)#i'd been looking forward to this collaboration for so long !#it's better than i could have ever expected#the transition between their verses is so smooth & when yojiro starts singing it's like i can feel all the tension leaving my body#which is interesting considering the loneliness at the center of the song#his voice is equal parts haunting yet breathtaking & really captures that lonely feeling#so good !! it's songs like this one which reaffirm how his voice is my fav to listen to#then we've got full hyper toy !!!!#holding out on us once again i see#when the trailer dropped with a smaller glimpse into hyper toy i was like oh?! but still not the entire scope !#such a banger !!! the build up! that effect that happens right at the end of the 1st verse!#ahhh it makes me want to dance more than any other song on the album#and i think it embodies a kind of love and determination present in so many of the songs#tbh i was a little worried when i saw the track list for the 1st time#bc so many of the titles contained words with negative connotations#denoting sadness & pain & real struggle#and yeah the songs do go all in on those things!#but there's a resounding truth & resilience to them as well#a love for life & music in the face of those hardships#it's really anchored me to the present & i'm not exaggerating when i say this release has made my entire year <3#also the photos/videos coming out from the solo show & afterparty are such a joy to behold 🥹#my heart is swelling with pride & happiness for him 💗

Hi, I love your blog! 😁❤
There are so many terms and identities out there now, which is awesome, but I'm ashamed to say I don't know enough about all of them. Is there a good resource for accurate information and definitions of gender and sexual identities that you would suggest?
I just want to be able to understand my friends when they want to explain to me how they identify, and maybe to be able to help understand myself a bit better too. And I know some of it is more fluid and personal than a standard definition, I'm just hoping to get a general understanding of all this, for my friends and for me.
I tend not to specifically look for amalgamations or dictionaries of queer terms, mostly because there comes a point where whomever is making it will be speaking to an identity they don't have much knowledge or expertise about, and many don't consult other communities. I've come across too many queer dictionary "sources" that almost act as though its word is law that I stopped going to those types of sources first. I'm not saying you could never go to a source that compiles queer identities into a list, like a dictionary, but often, you won't get a deeper knowledge about queerness beyond whatever that source says, which is why I don't have recommendations for you.
What I've found is that, when I have a question about a specific queer identity, I'll go directly to the community I've got questions about. I know that's not exactly what you were asking, but I've personally found that this has enriched my own understanding in ways that an often clinical definition just didn't.
I think the biggest thing to internalize first is that there's nothing wrong with not knowing it all. Even other queer people won't understand each other at first - because that is what it means to be people. The effort to understand one another must always be a collaborative effort first and foremost, which is why I so strongly emphasize learning from communities, from people, and from those who actually live as themselves.
#ask#queer#lgbt#lgbtq#i have nothing against dictionary or dictionary-like sources (i used to read the dictionary for fun for christ sake)...#...what i'm saying is that i don't always think it's an effective tool especially when it isn't a collaborative style#i feel kind of bad that this is probably not the answer you wanted but it's genuinely how i feel about it#i've just seen too many 'resources' which make blatently false information abiut a queer identity...#...and then the community they're trying to define speaks out about it and is ignored at best...#...and i get that my experience isn't universal which is why i don't demonize others for using dictionary sources for identity...#..there just comes a point in my mind where a dictionary isn't more helpful than speaking with the community itself y'know#so if somebody does offer a specific source like this person wanted i won't be mad#but i just wanted to offer my own perspective and why i can't give that type of information#i'm absolutely not mad with the asker by the way#and actually i'm only kind of sad with the framing of being ashamed at one's lack of knowledge#we all started somewhere. we all had a genesis. we all were ignorant or undereducated or misunderstood an identity

Client management
Task assignments and workflows
Whether it’s managing case files, coordinating with external counsel, or tracking internal deadlines, using project management software USA professionals recommend can save hours of manual tracking and reduce costly mistakes.
The Features USA Companies Demand
Not all project management tools are created equal. What works for a tech startup may not be ideal for a law firm or healthcare provider. Still, some features are universally loved by USA businesses, especially those with complex workflows like SureClaim Legal.
1. User-Friendly Interface
Complex software wastes time. A clean, intuitive dashboard ensures teams can jump in and get to work without needing weeks of training.
2. Task Management and Automation

3. Time Tracking and Billing
Especially useful for legal professionals, time tracking tools integrate seamlessly with billing systems. This ensures that no billable hour slips through the cracks.
4. Customizable Workflows
Every team works differently. Whether you’re managing legal cases or product development sprints, customizable pipelines help reflect how your team actually operates.
5. Client Portals
Modern project management software USA businesses use often includes secure portals for clients to view updates, share documents, and communicate in real-time.
Affordable Doesn’t Mean Weak
There’s a common myth that affordable software compromises on quality. That’s simply not true. In fact, many powerful project management software USA brands offer scalable pricing to suit startups, growing teams, and enterprise clients alike.
Let’s take SureClaim Legal as a prime example. As a growing legal firm, we wanted a tool that offered:
Security
Scalability
Compliance with U.S. data privacy laws
Robust reporting
A fair monthly price
We discovered there are several strong contenders that don’t break the bank. From ClickUp, Asana, Trello, to niche legal-specific platforms like Clio or PracticePanther, the options are endless — and many start as low as $10 per user/month.
How SureClaim Legal Uses Project Management Software
At SureClaim Legal, we implemented a customized project management software USA companies have praised for flexibility and control. Here’s how we utilize it daily:
- Case Workflow Management
We’ve set up custom pipelines for intake, discovery, negotiation, trial prep, and closure. Tasks are assigned to team members with deadlines and progress tracking.

Our software includes integrated messaging and file sharing with clients. This cuts down on email chains and improves transparency.
- Document Version Control
Legal cases often involve revisions. Our tool keeps every version organized, searchable, and securely stored.
- Performance Analytics
We generate weekly and monthly reports to assess team productivity and case turnaround times.
What to Look for in a Project Management Tool
If you’re searching for the best project management software USA firms rely on, consider these five factors:
1. Security and Compliance
Ensure your tool is compliant with U.S. regulations like HIPAA (for healthcare), or GDPR (for data privacy), especially if you’re handling sensitive information.
2. Scalability
Will the software grow with you? Look for tools that offer integrations and pricing models that scale with your team size and workflow complexity.
3. Integration Capabilities
A good tool connects with your existing ecosystem — think Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or QuickBooks.
4. Mobile Accessibility
Remote work is here to stay. Choose a platform with reliable mobile apps so your team can stay on top of work anywhere, anytime.
5. Customer Support
Timely and helpful support is crucial, especially when your team is under pressure. Read reviews and look for tools with 24/7 chat or phone support.
