yan x yan reader
YANDERE!crush x f!reader – dear diary, (I'm an oblivious, oblivious girl)
(first ask! kinda would've preferred a few more details but beggars can't be choosers lmao. anyway, don't mind if this is utter rubbish; im bored out of my mind)
————
You think – only for a second, though – that if you were a yandere subtype like in all those fictions, then you'll be the stalker type.
But then you continue in your little endeavour, promptly diverting your mind from distracting thoughts. It's a gamble what you're doing right now; putting your heart, blood and soul out there to do something this immoral for a mere boy.
But the heart wants what it wants.
The grip you had on your camera tightens, a smile beginning to curl on your lips as you watch him enter the room. Finally, Finally. About time he made his presence known.
Staying perched up on this tree wasn't easy. But you got a good view so it was worth it.
You watched him shrug off his shirt, lean body coming into view for you, you and you alone. How desirable he was, you almost wanted to say. Appreciate his beauty in all its pretty, delicate glory.
The pants stayed on, you watched with disappointment, but clicked pictures away till your heart's content anyway.
-
You doll yourself up for him sometimes.
It's not difficult. You've snooped through his phone plenty. He likes the sexy type, you’ve realised, if all the instagram models he liked to thirst over was something to go by.
So you gloss your lips just right. Style your hair a certain way. And powder your nose for a second longer.
(Sometimes, you think the models look a little like you.)
But when you see him on campus, all shining and captivating, you can't help but pass him a bright smile, dimples stretching your face and eyes sparkling like the sun.
You don't quite look sexy there. A little on the cuter side, maybe. But not sexy.
-
YANDERE!crush thinks you're just adorable.
He deliberately works out; deliberately rolls up his sleeves; deliberately never changes the password for his phone.
All for you alone.
Deliberately, deliberately changes his clothes right when the window is open and he knows you're watching, all hidden behind the leaves and the green of the tree.
But even more, he is the most deliberate when he follows a new, half naked model every week and amusedly watches you try to mould yourself into her.
It's funny. Slightly pitiful too. And he almost feels bad because it's just not in your nature. To be cool or sexy. To be hot or a diva.
But it's cute. It's cute watching you awkwardly shuffle in mini-skirts just for him. It's cute hearing the pitter-patter of your new heels and almost watching you fall. It's cute how you mask a flustered squeak when he catches you by the waist before you fall and make a fool of yourself in front of the whole campus.
It's cute. It's all so cute. You're so fucking cute it almost makes him rip his hair out.
It's alright though, he'll manage. He has managed since middle school, and then into high school. He'll keep managing in university and the years to come too.
A future with you is a future he's willing to fight for.
And. Well. Kill for.
It wasn't even hard, YANDERE!crush reminisces, to follow this homewrecker of a guy into an alleyway.
And then gut him bloody.
It wasn't hard at all, he thinks again. Far from it. He just had to take a trick from your book: Stalking.
Yes, he's sure, he's willing to kill someone for you too.
And it has a name too – his flashiness, that is – if he was a yandere subtype, he's aware he'd be the possessive, killer one.

100 followers celebration (now closed) || navigation
Wheezie's birthday is coming up and you wanted to make cupcakes for her, just as a little gift. You had initially decided to make those on your own, but when you shared the idea with Rafe, he insisted he helps you.
Knowing the last thing he would do is help, it took a lot of convincing from his side to get you to say yes. You finally gave in and said yes, but you definitely weren't happy about it.
And now here you are, glaring at him as he stifles his laughter, because he successfully applied the cupcake batter to your nose and cheeks, putting a cherry on the top of your nose, making you look like a clown.
You aren't very sure how it happened; one second you're searching through your spice drawer to find the cinnamon powder and just as you turn around the next second, you're basically being attacked with food.
"RAFE!" You yell, the coldness of the batter on your cheeks causing a very small shiver to go down your spine.
He can't keep his laughter in, so he bursts out laughing, but you don't know why he's finding it all so amusing, especially your angry expression should be making him scared.
It takes a few moments for Rafe's laughter to calm down, but when it does, he gently removes all the batter from your face and also gives you the cherry to eat.
Another few minutes later you have your cupcake batter filled in your moulds and are ready to go in the oven.
"Could you set a timer for 20 minutes?" You say to Rafe, handing him your phone as you're busy keeping the cupcakes in the oven. He takes the phone from you and just as he turns it on, the lockscreen grabs his attention instantaneously.
It's a picture of him smiling as he's looking up at the sky. He has no idea you took this picture of him, but he does have to say, he looks so good in it.
"Am I your lockscreen?" He says, and you look up at him, suddenly remembering about it. You feel your cheeks heat up as you walk a little closer to him.
You both haven't been dating for long, it's barely been a complete two months, so even when you do the little things for each other, it tends to send little firecrackers in your stomach each time.
"You weren't supposed to see that," you say, your face still red as you try to grab your phone from Rafe's hands. But you fail miserably, as he starts to run away from you with your phone still in his hand, his giggling not stopping.
"Rafe!" You call out as you run behind him, trying to catch ahold of him but he's had a headstart and he's a good distance ahead of you. You've completely lost track of him and you're calling out his name, trying to figure out where he is, but you don't get any response back.
After a bit more of searching, you spot him on the balcony, his back towards you. You walk up to him and whisper, "boo!" in his ear. He turns around with the biggest grin on his face, and he gives you your phone back.
"I think that's pretty cute," he says, as he wraps his arms around you and pulls you closer, pressing a kiss to your forehead. You smile into his chest, thinking about all the times you've stared at his picture on your lockscreen without realising how much time has passed.
Suddenly, he picks you up off your feet and you let out a scream at his actions, you being hoisted up on his shoulder now.
"Put me down!" You say, as he takes you both out of the balcony and back into the house.
"I'm not putting you down," he states.
"Put. Me. Down." You say, more sternly this time, but he doesn't listen to you.
"You're enjoying it, I know you are." He chuckles. Well, technically, he isn't wrong, but you would never admit that to his face because that would just only boost his ego a lot more.
When he reaches the living room, he finally puts you down on the couch, and gently gets on top of you, careful enough to not exert his complete body weight on you.
"Hey," he whispers, moving his face closer to yours, and nudging your nose with his.
"Hi," you giggle, feeling his hair brush your cheeks which creates a tickling sensation. He smiles, and presses his lips softly against yours. His lips move slowly, trying their best to show you how much you means to him. You sigh with satisfaction as you wrap your arms around his neck and pull him closer.
You gently pull his entire body weight on you, allowing him to rest properly. His head rests on your chest and your fingers massage his scalp gently, causing his mind to gradually feel more sleepy.
You gently smile at the sight in front of you, and you move your fingers to brush out the hair falling in his eyes. He gently shifts at the movement, moving his face a little closer to yours.
"I'm not too heavy right?" He mumbles sleepily, his eyes still closed.
"Oh no baby, you could never be heavy," you whisper, resuming running your fingers through his hair. Very soon, your boy has drifted off in your arms.

What i did in a month PART 3
starring: baking sprees, fiber crafts, chocolate making, easter chaos, some plants and every diy project ever
(here's part 1 • part 2 • part 3 • part 4)
20. EASTER👏🏻JUMBO👏🏻CHOCOLATE👏🏻EGGS👏🏻 (italian style). Enough said. Im kidding i have LOADS to say. I made 7 eggs, all with one (1) half egg 18x15cm mould, for a total of 37 half eggs between trials and fails and successes. In 3 weeks. It has been A Time for sure. But hey! Everyone loved them.
Featuring:
20.1 The first half-egg tempering success!!! Amdhlshdldj

20.2 The Eggapocalypse (about 125g of tempered chocolate in every half egg)

20.3 One (1) Whole Hazelnuts chocolate egg! (This bad boy can pack so many hazelnuts omg (like, a single half egg ended up needing 200g-ish hazelnuts. Im not joking.)) (yes that hole does look like a hazelnuts-inspired attack on titan au lol. I covered it up later dw)

20.4 Charms hairties as the surprise inside my 2yo niece's egg. Her mom looooves putting her hair in twin ponys etc, i figured she was well behaved enough not to eat them and both would like them (theyre some charms i had laying around from when i was a kid, i just put them on the hairties with a chainlink)

20.6 I!!! Made royal icing!!!!! Id never done it before, didnt even know it existed!!! Also i didnt want to use fresh egg whites for it cause the eggs needed to be shelf stable (people always keeps the chocolate for months). Found a recipe where they substituted the egg whites with powdered meringue and guess what, i learned how to make meringues for this! (Meringues picture in Part 2).
Suspicious Powders™ all over the kitchen while making the icing lol, plus trying out the water ratio and drying times

20.5 Decorating!! Sadly i dont have a better pic cause i did this the afternoon before easter and it was pure unbridled chaos

20.7 Egg packaging, aka final results!! (There were 7 eggs in total but i forgot to take pics :((( )

Thats it for easter craziness, but april baking and messing around™ continues in part 4
PART 1 • PART 2 • PART 3 • PART 4
#easter#chocolate eggs#meringues#royal icing#hazelnut#crafts#diy#chocolate#everyone loved them btw#im half thinking of actually selling them next year cause they were fun if a bit laborious#aka i dont got any equipment of any kind except a microwave and a food thermometer#nor any actual yknow training in any of this#just a few yt videos and a lot of “i can make this at home” vibes#aljslsjsld

Vierapril '24 - Day 1: Regal
More dramatics with the Ancients.
Endwalker spoilers ahoy.
King Leonides clung to a rock as horrid winds blew, and rain poured down upon his wizened head. His royal robes, once bright purples and golds, were splatted with mud and muck from days of travel. Even his beard, his beautiful beard of hair as bright as fresh-fallen snow, was but matted grey slush.
Ah! To be reduced to a common beggar, to wander and wither away! The barbarity of it all!
"Blow, winds, and crack your cheeks!" The beggar-king howled towards the sky, shaking his fists in righteous anger.
"Rage, blow!
You cataracts and hurricanoes, spout till you have drenched our steeples, drowned the cocks. You sulph'rous and thought-executing fires, vaunt-couriers of oak-cleaving thunderbolts, singe my white head.
And thou, all-shaking thunder, strike flat the thick rotundity o' th' world. Crack Natures' moulds, all brotherhood spill at once, that makes ingrateful man!" Leonides frowned, rose to his feet, and raised a hand into the air. With a sharp snap of fingers and thumb, the world suddenly melted around him, leaving only himself, and two masked and robed figures, on a circular marble dais. The wind - the true wind of Elpis - brushed past his chin, sending his "beard" fluttering off towards a patch of perpetually blooming flowers.
"Why did you stop? That was excellent so far, excellent." One of the masked figures, a tall man with dark black hair and striking green eyes, clapped his hands and smiled pleasantly. "I could just *see* you falling into the pits of despair. Couldn't you, Hythlodaeus?"
The other figure, made up to look like King Leonides' long-suffering court fool, grinned from beneath the heavy dabs of powder on his face. "As if our dear Emet-Selch needed any help taking the stage. I'd take my hat off for you, but I fear that would break the spell Dionysos has weaved for us thus far." He pointed towards his foppish silk hat and soiled peasant's clothes, and grinned even more. "Perhaps you take offense at being called 'nuncle', in the next line? I am the King's Fool, after all. It's my purpose to be your advisor, your friend. Even in dark moments as these, betrayed by your daughters and your kingdom."
Having shed the rest of his costume, Emet-Selch moved with effortless grace towards the rim of the dais, crossed his arms across his chest, and closed his eyes. "What a poor excuse of a king." he said, after a time. "A true king would never let himself fall to such lows. Wallowing in the dirt, crying at the winds." Turning to Dionysos, he continued, his anger echoed by the stage's acoustics. "I shudder to think if you were inspired by the world below. Is this what you see in it? Betrayal? Loss? Madness?" A step closer. "What we have created - what we have fashioned ever so carefully - is nothing less than perfect. So, with that in mind, I want this rewritten. Understand, this 'play' of yours will reflect what we've worked for. Not some dark fantasy you've cobbled together." Leonides' robes were thrown unceremoniously at Dionysos's feet.
Dionysos could only look on in shock as Emet stormed off into the night, bolts of lightning sent streaking across the night sky, in his wake. Shortly after, fat drops of rain loosed themselves from the fluffy clouds above, threatening to wash the whole production away. I struck a nerve, I take it, he thought.
It took a moment to kneel down and pick up the "king's" robes, to cradle them in the ancient's arms like a mother with her babe. Fine fabric like this shouldn't be left to the mercies of the evening; Phoenix had done too good a job willing the clothes into being. The dirt and muck were but illusions, of course. Is this what I should be doing as Azem, writing about the world as it is? Is that not allowed anymore?
A kindly voice came from behind, and a hand gently placed on Dionysos' shoulder. "You must forgive Emet-Selch. He's still suffering from the effects of the memory loss we experienced. I know it weighs heavily on him-"
"-as it does on all of us." Dionysos groaned and pressed the robes up to his face. "Hermes and his experiments." It felt oddly comforting to rub sopping wet cloth on his face. "Perhaps Hephastus would be more open to my mummery. I'm sure I could find a place for his child, too. What was their name? Damned if I've forgotten."
Of the Muses who flocked to Dionysos, who eternally demanded his attention, there were a few who gave him the comfort and kindness he needed. Calliope (sweet, hopeless Calliope), Ajax (strong, stoic Ajax), and, unofficially, Hythlodaeus. Granted, he wasn't around nearly enough to be called a Muse, but the love was there, regardless. A good love. Agape. The love that could keep a rainy night from not being as bad as it could be.
He was close by, wasn't he. Embracing a beleaguered playwright, putting forehead to forehead. Holding Dionysos just the way he liked it.
"My old friend," Hythlodaeus whispered. " 'Court holy water in a dry house is better than this rain water out o' door. Good brother, in, and ask thy friend's blessing. Here's a night pities nether wise men nor fools.'"
"That's not how the line goes," Dionysos whispered back.
"I'd take the hint if I'd your mind."
"I will."

The Commonly Used Metal 3D Printing Materials
Metal 3D printing uses a variety of metal powders, wires, and even liquid resins infused with metal. Almost any metal can be 3D printed, from stainless steel to nickel-based alloys, and in practice, about 8 are most commonly used. The most common question about metal 3D printing is: Will the final part have the same mechanical properties as a machined, moulded or forged metal part? The answer is yes, and sometimes even better mechanical quality, but it depends a lot on the metal 3D printing technology you use, the type of feedstock used, post-processing and the shape of the part. In addition, the comparison depends on the aspects you are concerned about: for example, tensile strength, static load strength, high cycle fatigue, and so on.
In general, the material properties of metal parts made by metal bond jetting are equivalent to those of metal parts produced by metal injection moulding, and it is one of the most widely used manufacturing methods for the mass production of metal parts. These 8 metal alloys below are just the beginning of what is possible today as metal material producers continue to push the boundaries and customize metal alloys for specific needs using specific metal 3D printing technologies.
1.Stainless Steel Feature: All-round Stainless steel is not the material most commonly used in 3D printing, but many alloy varieties. The first two are 316L and 17-4 PH, but also 304L, 15-5 PH, 420, 254, PH1, GP1, 630, and 410 can be printed, as well as custom blends produced by material manufacturer. These steels are specifically designed to resist corrosion. They are a lightweight and affordable metal that is ideal for 3D printing. This is because it is faster and cheaper than traditional methods and can print small batches and complex parts. 3D printing is the preferred option for companies that need a single tool or several replacement parts. Stainless steel can be used in almost any type of 3D printing, from economical wire for extruded 3D printing on benchtop machines to powder for binder jetting and laser powder bed fusion, and even resin.
2.Tool Steel Feature: High hardness, good wear resistance Tool steels, like stainless steels, come in different varieties with different tensile strengths, ductility, hardness and other properties. Tool steels are a variety of alloy steels designed specifically for the manufacture of tools. They are known for their hardness, wear resistance and ability to hold a cutting edge at high temperatures. This 3D printing steel is commonly used in the manufacture of injection mould inserts, aerospace components, military applications, manufacturing tools, as well as construction and architecture. The main advantage of 3D printed tool steel is not only its strength, but also its unique ability to create parts with internal channels (e.g. cooling channels in moulding tools) and lattice fillings that cannot be manufactured by traditional methods.
3.Low-Alloy Steel All 3D printing steels are alloys, but this category includes steels with low or less than 5 per cent of other elements. These low alloy steels are designed to have higher mechanical properties and greater resistance to wear and corrosion than other steels which are commonly used in automotive, aerospace and structural applications.
4.Aluminum Feature: Lightweight and corrosion resistant For aerospace, automotive and industry, the design freedom and cost efficiency of 3D printing further enhances the lightweight and chemical resistance of aluminum components. The use of aluminum and aluminum alloys in 3D printing is surging because the metal is economical and easy to 3D print. Like most metals, aluminum can be used as wire or powder for a variety of 3D printing techniques. Aluminium has good chemical resistance, is very light and has one of the best strength-to-weight ratios of any metal. Combined with silicon and magnesium, it is the choice of many in the aerospace and automotive industries because of its ability to withstand harsh conditions.
5.Titanium Feature: Lightweight and biocompatible As strong as steel but half the weight, titanium is a complex metal that is practically made for 3D printing. Titanium has become one of the most commonly used metals in additive manufacturing, with a wide range of applications in aerospace, joint replacement and surgical tools, racing car and bicycle frames, electronics and other high-performance products. Titanium and titanium-based alloys offer high mechanical strength, high strength-to-weight ratios and better corrosion resistance than stainless steel. It makes rockets and aircraft lighter, thus saving fuel and increasing payload capacity. In the medical industry, 3D printed titanium implants have been successfully used in the spine, hips, knees and extremities due to the inherent biocompatibility and good mechanical properties of the metal, coupled with the ability to customize porous structures with 3D printing, allowing for osseointegration and mass customization for better patient outcomes.
6.Copper Feature: Electrical and thermal conductivity 3D printing using pure copper and space-age copper alloys is available with a range of metal 3D printers and services. You can create rapid copper prototypes using copper filament on an FDM 3D printer and large copper rocket boosters using copper alloys on a laser powder bed fusion 3D printer. There is also copper wire and copper resin for micro 3D printing. In fact, copper plays a huge role in the global sustainable development goals as a key component of electric motors, charging infrastructure, solar energy and batteries.
7.Nickel Alloy Feature: Extreme environments resistant Nickel-based alloys and "high-temperature alloys" are known for their excellent high-temperature strength, corrosion and oxidation resistance. These alloys retain their strength and mechanical properties at high temperatures. They are commonly used in demanding applications such as aerospace, gas turbines, chemical processing and marine environments. In recent years, these alloys have also become increasingly popular in 3D printing, especially in the aerospace and automotive industries. When referring to nickel alloys, you may hear the term inconel. Inconel is the trade name for a range of nickel-chromium-based high-temperature alloys, including IN625, IN718 and IN939. Nickel alloys are generally more expensive than other materials such as steel and aluminium and may not be suitable for low temperature applications.
8.Cobalt Chrome Feature: High temperature and corrosion resistance 3D printed cobalt chrome has a high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance, making it a good material choice for aerospace components and industrial machinery. It is also biocompatible and is often used in orthopaedic implants, dental prosthetics and medical devices that require long-term contact with biological tissue. Cobalt-chromium alloys can be processed using additive manufacturing techniques such as selective laser melting (SLM) or electron beam melting (EBM). This allows complex geometries and customized parts to be produced with minimal material waste, making it attractive to industries adopting advanced manufacturing techniques.
To sum up, metal 3D printing uses a wide range of metal powders and wires, including stainless steel, tool steel, etc. to print complex parts with superior mechanical properties. Commonly used metals in 3D printing include aluminum, titanium, copper, nickel alloys, tool steel, cobalt-chromium alloys, stainless steel for aerospace, medical and jewellery applications and more.

Adding a few things:
21. Only wash your genitals with water. Soap fucks up the natural bacteria that act as a first line of defence against infections. Soap also irritates and dries out the mucus membrane and very very delicate skin there. This goes for every kind of configuration of genitals btw. Water only.
22. You don't need shampoo. I'm serious. And you shouldn't be using silicone products on your hair. Dimethicone is the worst one. This coats your hair in plastic and it feels smooth but it actually dries your hair out worse. People with long hair swear by Mane N Tail for a reason. Use conditioner the same way as shampoo, then after you rinse use it like conditioner. Then after you rinse, dry off and use it as leave-in conditioner. You can use it for all three purposes and this is ESPECIALLY good for curly hair.
23. Lotion is worth the sensory hell. The greasy feeling > your hands cracking and bleeding because they are dry, believe me. Find a lotion you like the smell of, but do use it.
24. Lip balm is worth the sensory hell also. The sticky/greasy feeling > your lips cracking and bleeding and flaking AND SUNBURNING because they're unprotected and dry. I use a lip balm that is pure lanolin, that feels the least bad bc lanolin is what our skin naturally uses.
25. A massage shower head is worth it. You can install one in an apartment quite easily, and change it back when you move out.
26. Cut your toenails straight across. This prevents ingrown toenails.
27. You're allowed to wash your hair in the sink if taking a full shower is too hard. You're allowed to take a shower in pieces.
28. You don't actually have to wash your hair every day and in fact you shouldn't. Straighties can wash their hair more frequently, but curlies should be washing maybe once a week or less.
29. Do not brush or comb wet hair, not even with your fingers. Wet hair is at its most fragile, let it dry before you pull at it.
30. Bleaching your hair at home is pretty easy actually; don't get a bleach kit though, get the bleach powder and developer separately.
31. Having a bottom sheet + duvets makes everything so much easier than having a bottom sheet, top sheet, and blankets.
32. Natural materials are always going to be better and longer-lasting than plastic ones. Real down, real leather, real wool etc last longer and work better than their plastic counterparts. They just need maintaining--down needs seasonal fluffing, leather needs oil, wool needs mothballs. You can beat the shit out of linen though. Wool is the only material that stays warm when wet, linen is literally the coolest and most moisture-wicking material known to man, and down is both warm and breathable.
33. Wash your dishwasher and laundry machines monthly or they're gonna stop being effective at cleaning and start just depositing bacteria and mould all over everything.
34. If a certain food makes you sick stop eating it or find medicine that counter-acts it and take it. I know people who are lactose-intolerant and refuse to take meds 'because it's not bad enough' yes it fucking is. Take meds. You get one (1) body don't fucking ruin it when you don't have to.
35. On that note, if it hurts, stop doing it immediately. Do not let anyone peer pressure you into continuing no matter what. I lost my ability to walk because I ignored my feet hurting for too long because of a job. Don't be like that. Wheelchairs are expensive and not being able to walk SUCKS.
Dudes shouldn't have to prove themselves by having spartan greyscale homes with dollar store rubber shower curtains and a mattress on the floor. Do you know what life is like with linen

Pottery Museum & Pottery Village
Tuesday, May 20, 2025
Onta, Japan
Pottery making was started in Onta in the early 1700s by two brothers selling small wares to the villagers to meet the needs of their daily life. Today, that business continues by 9 families to whom the business has been passed on over the generations. The method of production has not much changed over the years.
A museum nearby the pottery village displays pottery, some dating back to the early 1700s.
Pottery Museum

Pottery Village
This village, consisting of 60 members, is in the 9th generation of pottery makers. Until our tour operator made this village a stopover place for their tours, the villagers had never met any foreigners, nor come across such free-spenders willing to pay a fortune for their wares.
Onta pottery is still made using the same methods that were first introduced to the area over 300 years ago. No modern-day machinery is involved in the production process. The clay is sourced as rocks in the local mountains and prepared using water mills. The sound of the thump, thump, thump of these wooden hammer water mills, echoes throughout the village. The clay is molded by hand on foot-powered rotary wheels, the molded clay dried in the sun and wood-fired kilns.
The whole process takes about 3 months to produce a finished product.

Water-powered thumping machines that turn the clay rocks into fine powder. A few years ago, during a period of drought, the river dried up, and the entire production had to be shutdown. It takes about 20 to 30 days of 24/7 thumping to turn clay rocks to fine-powdered clay.
Can't they use modern electric-powered grinding drums, to make fine clay? Nope...that is not how things are done. End of debate.

Clay slurry preparation.

Clay slurry, initially dried in the sun, going through final drying process in a kiln to get it to just the right moisture content for moulding.

Air drying of molded products, before completing the drying process in a kiln.

A wood-fired kiln.
Can't you use the more efficient electric kilns instead of wood-fired kilns and avoid chopping down trees and denuding the hill side?
Nope... (you can guess the reason)
Some of the finished products on sale in the village.

Want to buy a large platter? That will set you back $500!

...or how about buying this tea cup and saucer, to use during your high tea time event. Each cup and saucer will set you back $60, and you will probably need 6 sets for the friends who will attend your high tea event. An expensive proposition, but you will have a nice topic of conversation about your ware, and impress your friends.

The only item within my budget was this tumbler. Cost $2 each.
I found out later that this is the reject box containing products with slight defects, unrecognizable by most of us, that failed to meet the exacting standards of the craftsman.

thinking about abstraction of the body following my exhibition piece I decided to bring the concept further into my creative enquiry work by continuing the theme but taking the abstraction of the body further and more realistic.
the easiest body part I could think was the breast, it’s highly sexualised and easy to work with in terms of making moulds.
for the moulds, I thought I’d use something I had on hand and I happened to have a bag of alginate lying around from my HNC/HND so I thought I’d dig that out and use it.

I had to experiment quite a lot with the mixing of the alginate, I had trouble with the temperature of the water, at first it was too cold, then too hot, then the mixture was going too clumpy to work with. eventually I got the mixture to something usable by using warm (but not hot) water and mixing it with the powder in small amounts.
next, I held the bucket to my chest for 4-5 minutes and hoped for the best.

this is how the mould was looking after I pulled it away from my chest. there wasn’t too much detail and I wasn’t overly happy with the quality so I continued troubleshooting.

I was able to get a much better mould which I cast in plaster

Secure Your Assets With A Reliable Security Cage Solution
In today’s residential and commercial spaces, safety, storage, and organisation are top priorities. Whether you're storing personal belongings in a shared apartment complex or managing inventory in a warehouse, a security cage offers a robust and effective way to keep valuable items safe. Built for strength and visibility, these enclosures are designed to deter unauthorised access while allowing you to maintain clear oversight of what’s inside.
A security cage is more than just a steel enclosure—it's a smart solution for securing assets in locations where traditional walls or solid storage rooms may not be suitable or cost-effective. Their versatility and durability make them a preferred option across various industries and property types.

What Is a Security Cage?
A security cage is a lockable, mesh-panelled enclosure typically constructed from powder-coated steel or galvanised wire. It can be customised to fit a wide range of spaces—from small storage areas to large walk-in units. These cages are often used in underground car parks, residential storage areas, commercial warehouses, data centres, and utility rooms.
Unlike solid walls, the open-grid design of a security cage allows for airflow, visibility, and easy inspection, making them especially useful where ventilation and transparency are essential.
Key Benefits of Installing a Security Cage
1. Enhanced SecurityAs the name suggests, it provides strong physical protection. Its sturdy frame and lockable doors make it difficult for unauthorised individuals to gain access. Whether you're storing expensive equipment, sensitive materials, or personal belongings, you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re protected.
2. Customisable for Any SpaceOne of the major advantages of security cages is their adaptability. They can be built to fit into awkward corners, span entire rooms, or divide larger storage areas. Optional shelving, lock systems, and internal partitions make it easy to organise your contents efficiently.
3. Ideal for Shared or Strata EnvironmentsIn apartment complexes or shared garages, it offer residents a personal and private space to store their items without infringing on communal areas. They're commonly installed in underground car parks and basements where extra space is available but unprotected.
4. Airflow and VisibilityThe wire mesh structure allows for continuous ventilation, reducing the risk of moisture build-up and mould. This is particularly important for long-term storage. The transparency also supports visual inspections and promotes a sense of openness in communal storage areas.
5. Cost-Effective Alternative to Building RoomsCompared to building permanent walls and doors, they are a budget-friendly option. Installation is typically quicker, and the modular nature of most systems means they can be easily relocated or expanded as needed.
Common Uses for Security Cages
Apartment Storage: Allowing unit owners or tenants a secure, personal storage space.
Warehouse and Logistics: Protecting high-value goods or restricted inventory.
IT and Telecom Rooms: Providing restricted access zones for servers and sensitive equipment.
Construction Sites: Securing tools, materials, and machinery during off-hours.
Retail Backrooms: Safeguarding stock, electronics, or employee belongings.
Choosing the Right Security Cage
When selecting a security cage, consider the following:
Material Quality: Powder-coated or galvanised finishes help prevent rust and corrosion.
Access Control: Depending on the sensitivity of the stored items, you may opt for padlocks, keypad locks, or integrated access systems.
Compliance: If used in commercial or strata settings, ensure the cage meets local fire safety and access regulations.
Installation Environment: Some areas may require freestanding cages, while others can be wall-mounted or bolted to the floor for added stability.
Professional installation ensures correct fitting, compliance with safety standards, and longevity of the structure.
Conclusion
A well-constructed security cage is an excellent investment for those seeking safe, accessible, and versatile storage solutions. Whether for residential, commercial, or industrial use, it adds an extra layer of protection while maintaining visibility and ventilation. If you're looking to organise and secure your space with minimal disruption, it delivers a dependable and cost-effective answer.

A pack of Harnik jelly crystals powder. You can choose any flavour that you prefer.
500 ml of water in a bowl.
A bowl and a mixing spoon to stir the ingredients.
Jelly moulds or serving cups.
Quick Steps To Make Instant Jelly Mix
Boiling the water: You need to begin by boiling about 250 ml of water in a pot. Lukewarm water ensures that the jelly crystals dissolve evenly in the solution without creating lumps.
Mixing the jelly crystals: Empty the contents of the pack into the mixing bowl and then carefully pour boiling water over it. Make sure that you stir continuously until all the crystals have dissolved, or they tend to accumulate at the bottom.
Adding some cold water: Now add another 250 ml of cold water into the mix and continue to stir the mixture. This brings the solution to room temperature and helps the jelly to set better.
Pouring into the moulds: It's time to transfer the jelly mixture to a mould. This is the fun part of the process! You can choose any shape to make your jelly-making process more exciting. Bears, cats, worms, stars, you can let your imagination and creativity take over.
Freezing: Now place the moulds into the refrigerator for about 3 to 4 hours without disturbing the solution at all. This lets the jelly set and acquire a gooey and jiggly texture.
