I can’t believe I’m about to say this as an American but, help me British man!
How are weights marked in the gyms over there? I know you guys use the metric system (like most of the world besides us) but I don’t know the nuances of where the weights are marked, what intervals they’re most commonly measured in and things like that. I know over here, the largest *common* weight for a loadable dumbbell is a 45 pounds but the fixed weights I’ve seen go up to like 70 pounds (and I’ve seen even higher on both but that’s in the big boy gyms) and the smallest is 5 pounds; where they usually ascend by 5 pounds a weight until they reach the max. God I hope this question(s) makes sense. I’m asking for fic reasons.
Sir, I am at your disposal. Because I am a visual person and I like to conduct research in the field: behold, images of the weights, which I took while gasping for air and wishing I could replace my left arm with Bucky's from Winter Soldier.
Dumbbells are in multiples of 2 from 4kg up to 50kg. Except near what I'll call the flex area ('cause of the giant mirror), where they have odd intervals.

Barbell has weight in multiples of 5 from 5kg here up to 25kg. Some places have higher I've seen but can't see why they would. There are also 2.5kg and 1.25kg discs around that I use for preacher curls. (Yes, I spent 5 minutes sorting this clusterfuck, I couldn't leave it.) Pre-weighted barbells too.

There are two types of cable machine we have here. The weight intervals are pictured.

Weights on some random machine. (Breeding bench, heh heh heh.)

If it's a CoD fic, the lads will be doing a lot of body weight work, cardio and explosive movements like box jumps. Not bulking too much cause they still need to be able to move and my powerlifting lads aren't quick. 😬
Bonus progress pic of your tour guide today: one aspiring otter heading home for a shower and protein shake (sunglasses recommended due to ghostly skin tone).

BACKLOG: 2/3/25
*As this is an old newsletter written prior to the establishment of this blog, it does not currently meet our journalistic standards.
New quests have been disbursed! Everyone has a varying amount of enderpearls, blaze powder, and boats to submit. Hmmm i sure wonder what you would maybe need all of those items for
Ros made a contract with the Keepers to change factions if she built them a temple. She switched from Yellow to Purple (Factionless).
Sneeg noticed Ros was purple and messaged her to talk. Sneeg was very upset that Owen made her feel like she wasn't contributing enough to the Kingdom, and tried to analyze his potential reasons for pushing her out while not contributing much himself. Sneeg wanted to call for a whole meeting of the Realm to discuss if Owen has been antagonizing anyone else they didn't know about.
After discussing with Clown, they decided on a Kingdom-only meeting and went to confront Owen.
DING DONG, THE JESTER IS DEAD! After a very tense conversation where Owen was the final boss of gaslighting, he was killed twice. First by Clown and Sneeg together, then by Ros.
Sneeg nitpicked the Keeper's contract, saying Purple wasn't actually a faction Ros could switch to, and he and Clown asked her if she wanted to rejoin Yellow. She did :D
Ros and Aimsey spoke, and Ros noticed that Aimsey is acting very differently since coming back from their death. Not only do they have paler skin and their missing eye back, they are acting very strangely.
Aimsey seems to be getting haunted? Occasionally, Disc 5 starts playing near them, and they are hearing the Warden and Ancient City sound effects.
In other, non-player related news: There are now Observers. These are floating eyes with purple veins that occasionally appear, stare at players, and then leave. The moon has been replaced with the same eye symbol. Nobody likes them or knows what they're about.
While Ros was trying to have a conversation with BBH, all active players got afflicted with such severe slowness they couldn't move, as well as Darkness. Krow noted that this only lasted for the night, and all effects went away once the sun rose.

for context, I did have a lot of consoles throughout my life bc as I've said video games pretty much are my life but they were:
Mega Drive 3 or whatever its called yknow one of those TecToy things that comes with games already in it - older cousin didn't want it anymore
Polystation (famiclone) - 1980's console sold in the 2000's yeah this was probably like 10 dollars. we gave it away eventually. my parents barely remember that we had this but if there's something I don't forget it's video games
PlayStation 2 Slim - cheapest version of the PS2 you could get at the time when the PS3 was already out. I think my parents divided the cost with someone else in the family. we pirated all our games.
black Nintendo DSi - my mom asked a friend of hers who was visiting the US to get it there cheaper and she'd pay it back. I was disappointed to find that every other kid on the planet had a DSi XL instead which deeply insulted me because 90% of them stopped playing with the thing as soon as it wasn't cool anymore and my hands grew to be larger than average so I kind of needed that. I pirated all my games.
normal white Nintendo Wii - I don't remember how many years after the console's release this was but it was a standard Wii. my uncle who doesn't live here happened to have bought this in fucking Syngapore and gave it to us. yes that means it used PAL games. in a region that only sold NTSC games. we pirated all our games except for the Wii Sports and Wii Play discs that came with the console and the second controller respectively
normal 8GB storage release year Wii U (as opposed to the 32GB black one that actually came with a game already) - my parents divided the cost with another family member and bought it for me on the christmas of the year that thing released because I really really really begged them so I could play Smash 4. I didn't know how to mod a Wii U, so this was my first console with original games. I had to wait a month or two after I got it to actually have something to play though, since they couldn't afford it. I don't regret wanting a Wii U, all things considered
release year Nintendo Switch with the red and blue joycons - I got this used from a colleague in late 2022 (nearly 6 years after it came out) because of how expensive this shit is. the joycons were brand new due to stick drift replacements. I got a few games since then and found out that I actually don't like this thing at all it feels so bad to play in any form possible and every game is like 300 bucks
besides that I would play stuff on old used laptops or whatever we could get emulators running on. always keep gaming and buy a ps vita for me if you can

The following movie is available to stream on... Of all things... The Criterion Channel...
Perhaps Walt Disney Productions were onto something in 1978...
Disney's live-action movie output of the 1970s tends to get a bad rap. A time when the film division, kind of stuck in time, had become what former Disney story man Steve Hulett once described as a "sleepy backwater" establishment. Not at all tapped into the zeitgeist, seemingly uninterested even. They were making movies that were guaranteed hits... In 1965, that is.
THE CAT FROM OUTER SPACE opened almost exactly one summer after the release of STAR WARS, the movie that singlehandedly redefined the escapist fantasy adventure that was almost synonymous with Walt Disney many moons ago. Despite boasting a kooky premise (it's about an alien cat who is marooned on Earth and needs the help of three scientists to repair his ship) and even dabbling in some contemporary fears (largely having to do with the Cold War), it's executed like almost any other run-of-the-mill '70s Disney live-action movie: Workmanlike direction from Disney regular Norman Tokar (in his final film), budget special effects that kinda undercut what should be moments of genuine wonder, and some last-minute Disney live-action cliches; chiefly a bunch of diabolical bad guys who want the cat's interstellar collar to rule the universe. Basically GUS and MY DOG, THE THIEF all over again. This probably looked absolutely embarrassing next to what Steven Spielberg and George Lucas were doing at the time.
And yet, there are plenty of weird little things that make this particular movie charming, from a M*A*S*H star (McLean Stevenson) being in it along with the star that replaced him on that show (Harry Morgan), to the subplot involving a pool hall and the mob. Some of the spaceship stuff may be creative, even if it isn't necessarily STAR WARS-caliber. The lead (played by Ken Berry, of F-TROOP and MAMA'S FAMILY fame, and also Disney's HERBIE RIDES AGAIN) and the cat (voiced by Disney regular and frequent voice actor Ronnie Schell) have a cool dynamic, too. Sandy Duncan is a good addition here, she'd later voice Vixey in THE FOX AND THE HOUND. I think this premise, honestly, could do with a really good remake with a visionary director behind it. Animated, even. But you know Disney wouldn't, lol. They couldn't get a BLACK HOLE remake going, nor a FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR remake, so no way that happens.
But... To see this hidden gem be in the same sentence as "Criterion"... It's currently available to stream on the Criterion Channel, in 2-0-2-4, with another live-action Disney cat movie: This time, a more recognizable one, 1965's THAT DARN CAT! starring Hayley Mills. THE CAT FROM OUTER SPACE also, of course, is on Disney+. But can you imagine *this* movie, of all things, earning a spot in The Criterion Collection? As in getting a physical disc release with that "C" logo on it and its release year in a neat little bar?
That was NOT on my bingo card this year.
Sometimes time is kind to things, maybe it was just not where it needed to be in 1978.

Hi! 16-18 and 21 & 22 for the vinyl ask? :)
Thanks for the asks!
16: What is the most expensive record you ever bought?
I bought a mint condition original copy of Emmylou Harris "Glidin' Bird" for $85 (900kr). But I did get a free Topic sample LP & Paul Simon single with it, because the store owner couldn't lower the price any further.
17: What was the cheapest record you ever bought?
New Zealand edition of Linda Ronstadt's "Simple dreams" for 2kr (like, $0,2?).
18: How many records (LPs and singles) do you have in your collection?
I own 152 LPs, 27 singles (including 4 maxi singles), 4 EPs (7 inch) and 1 picture disc. Total 184 records all together.
21: Which record in your collection is in the best condition?
My 2010 Rykodisc re-issue of "The McGarrigle Hour" on vinyl, because it is un-opened. I bought it M/M unopened and since I have the CD and DVD I've yet to open it.
22: Which record in your collection is in the worst condition?
Peter, paul and mary - In the wind. I bought it for $2 (20kr) at a record fair and after about 5-10 playthroughs it stopped producing anything but pure noise. It's literally worn out. Which reminds me, I should replace it one of these days...

Wednesday, 27 November 2023:
Library Bundle (9 of 18)
Laguna Beach Bob Dylan (Midnight Beat) (released in 1993)
Finding one two disc Bob Dylan bootleg at the Friends of the Library sale is a massive find. But finding two? Incredible. And I will admit I took one look at this set and thought, hoo boy, I dunno about this. It was in dismal shape. It had no inlay tray insert. The discs were scratched far more than I'm comfortable with and the case was slipshod. You couldn't open it without the insert and both discs falling on the floor. But it was a dollar. Yes, one George Washington and despite my never having heard of Midnight Beat, I still wasn't going to bypass a shot at an unheard Dylan boot for a buck.
I went home and cleaned it with water and a soft, clean cloth. It looked far better for my care. I replaced the jewel case with one of the many I have in my upstairs attic which is where my jewel case hospital resides. I even went to BobsBoots and printed out a back inlay tray insert. Granted, mine wasn't properly sized, but come on, it's a bootleg! No one cares!
After I shined it up and made it pretty, I still questioned whether or not it would play, so I went upstairs, popped it in and lo and behold! It not only played without incident, Laguna Beach is one hell of a live show! I'll give the details out at the end of this entry, so make certain you read it all.
Above you see the front of the jewel case and then the back with my too tiny insert. Below, you can see the gatefold opened up, first to reveal Disc 1 and then Disc 2. Note that the latter is how it looked when I got it: sans inlay tray insert.

Here is the booklet opened up.

Here are the two CDs found in this set.

This set contains a lot of music. First off, the main thrust is a performance at Laguna Seca (which is a racetrack in Monterey, California) on 27 May 1995. That show ends with Knockin' On Heaven's Door (on Disc 2). Then, beginning with All Along The Watchtower and running through Forever Ever (with Bruce Springsteen) what we are listening to is Dylan's performance at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in good old Cleveland, Ohio on 2 September, 1995. The performances are all tremendous! The final track on this boot is from Brixton Academy in London on 30 March 1995 . Dylan performs I Shall Be Released with Elvis Costello.
Had I passed up this crappy looking bootleg (for a dollar mind you) I would have missed this great performance! The takeaway is, if your library has used book/CD/movie sales, check them out. You never know what jewels you will find among the rust. And if they do look rusty, think about taking them home and cleaning them up. They might be hidden jewels.

ღChapter 1~ Abduction | Mini Masterlist | Chapter 3~ Experiment

Slithering white rope-like strands suddenly came out from the ground and wound themselves around San. San yelped at the sudden attack and started to pull and grunt in an attempt to save himself. "Seonghwa?"
"I will take up your offer of data gathering," Seonghwa replied.
San momentarily stopped struggling and you watched with horror as the ropes slithered along his skin, tightening against his bronze skin. "Wait, really?" His face was both surprised and curious, "You're gonna fuck her?"
You stood up quickly, your skirt falling against your skin with the change of gravity. "What are you doing to San?" You demanded. Suddenly the severity of being kidnapped by aliens was starting to dawn upon you.
"We have observed that human males tend to get territorial with their mates. It's better if we restrain him while I…" Seonghwa licked his lips, "...how did you put it? Fuck her pussy full of my cum?"
You whimpered. You knew Seonghwa didn't know how dirty those words were, but that somehow made their effect more lethal. "San, look what you started!"
San was completely immobile now, only his pecs and shoulders peeking beneath the ropes. "I'm sorry I like watching other men fuck you?" He mockingly apologized, making you scoff.
Seonghwa cocked his head, stepping towards you. "Do you not wish to volunteer? We can find another suitable unmated female--"
"No," You cut him off rather firmly. You cleared your throat when San began to snicker in amusement. "I mean, it would be more efficient to use me, wouldn't it? You won't have to waste the time to explain it to another."
That sharp foreign language punctuated the air again. Seonghwa sneered a bit but quickly smoothed his features. "The others will join us now."
"Others?" You squeaked, twisting your fingers together in anxiety, "More are coming to watch?"
San started to cackle, throwing his head back. "Oh, this is getting better."
A hole opened up above and a disc descended with two individuals on it. They were shorter in stature than Seonghwa but not by much. They also simply appeared as two human males; both had faces that you couldn't read.
"I thought only Hongjoong was coming to replace me?" Seonghwa said in a tone that seemed to you like he was not impressed there were two of them.
"Wooyoung insisted," Hongjoong corrected Seonghwa. "He wants to try after you."
You began to stutter and moved closer to Seonghwa. "Seonghwa?"
Hongjoong laughed dryly. "The female is amusing in thinking that you would save her from such a fate."
Seonghwa’s arm, nonetheless, curled around your waist. He tilted his head at you. "Why do you search for solace in my arms? Is it because I chose you to mate with? Was it my tongue inside of you? Is that the appeal of this animalistic urge you humans endure for offspring?" Seonghwa pulled you closer. "Do you seek protection from other males penetrating you?"
You cleared your throat again. "Actually, I was wondering if you would allow it."
Seonghwa blinked at you profusely and then Wooyoung and Hongjoong broke out into laughter. "She wishes for more cocks. Clearly the more diverse DNA she absorbs, the better her child will become."
San was snickering again and you sent him a scathing look. "San!"
Wooyoung strode over to your restrained boyfriend. "You no longer struggle. Is it because Seonghwa licked your cock? Do you feel a sense of connection with him?" Wooyoung turned back towards Seonghwa. "Was that another part of the breeding process? Perhaps another must respect the cock that penetrated previously."
San coughed and blushed and stared high, high up to the ceiling. "Why didn't I think of that?"
Seonghwa’s fingers tightened on your body. "I am next. I have observed and now I will attempt to replicate."
His robe dropped to his feet and you let out a low moan. His body was more slender and flatter than San's but your fingers smoothed over his chest in appreciation nonetheless. "I should remove my clothes as well."
Seonghwa’s eyes were hooded and his cock bounced angrily against his abdomen. "Is it the proper way to do so?"
"Me and San just fuck with clothes on because it feels more forbidden," You admitted quietly.
Seonghwa kept his voice to the same level yours was. "This is quite forbidden."
"You should speak louder," Hongjoong interrupted. "If you're going to replicate, we need to hear everything for our turns."
You swallowed and found there was no moisture in your mouth. "How…how many are there of you?"
"Six of us,” Hongjoong reported, “It is not known how many of us should learn. In case it is decided that without enough data, we cannot make a concise choice, so the more data we all gather, the better."
"Surely the more data the better," San said in a slight squeal, trying to sound serious like the aliens but beyond excited. Was it going to be a gang bang? San knew you had always secretly wanted that experience, although you were plenty happy just fucking San.
"Precisely, human," Hongjoong smiled dangerously.
"I shall begin!" Seonghwa announced.
His hands cupped your face and he brought his lips to yours. You held perfectly still as they danced along yours with such feather light touches that you whined and pushed up on your tippy toes. You wrapped your arms around Seonghwa’s neck and slanted your lips over his. His eyes widened in surprise before he closed them and let your tongue take over in dominance. You whimpered when he melted under your touch. You suddenly wanted Seonghwa everywhere at once.
"You don't have to prep me, like San did," You whispered against Seonghwa's lips, your foreheads pressed together, "His cum will work fine."
San moaned in his spot. "Fuck, that's hot," he said as he bit rather harshly on his lower lip.
Seonghwa turned you around easily. "Then shall you bend over for me?" He asked.
You shook your head and turned around back to face him. "We can try a different position."
Seonghwa's eyebrows furrowed. "You use more than one position?"
That's when San started to struggle in his restraints once again. "Let me out! I won't be bad, I'll just help!"
Wooyoung bounced on the balls of his feet, looking ecstatic that the show was about to begin. "He's not entered her yet. Let's be safe and keep you confined."
"I love having my dick squeezed but this is not the interpretation I prefer," San grumbled in an adorable pout.
Hongjoong snapped his fingers and suddenly San yelped and panted. "Wh-what are you doing?"
"Mingi thinks it's a good idea to acquire pure, unmixed cum from the male," Hongjoong supplied to the room.
"Who---hhhnnnnn--okay that--wow!" San was a whimpering mess and you knew that noise.
"San, are the ropes pleasuring you?" You demanded.
"Your mate will be fine, human," Seonghwa insisted, drawing your attention back to him. "What do we do next?"
"Well, I guess--" You managed to pull your eyes away from your boyfriend whose features were contorted in pleasure. "I'll need to wrap my legs around your waist--!"
Seonghwa placed his hands under your ass and leveled your lower half with his cock. "Like this?" He asked with raised eyebrows.
"Wait," Hongjoong commanded, stepping closer. "I wish to observe you penetrating the female."
"Female or human is kinda clinical to refer to me as, don't you think?" You whined pathetically.
"The male called you Babe?" Seonghwa tilted his head cutely.
You shook your head. "That's what San addresses me as. I want something different for you. Please?"
Seonghwa looked at a loss for words, face truthfully unsure. "What do I do?"
"Interesting. The female seems to want a further connection with you, Seonghwa," Hongjoong observed out loud.
"Mingi, adjust the bindings," Wooyoung said from his spot beside San still. "Let's see his breeding in action. We can collect more data with him outside of the pussy."
San choked again. The ropes adjusted until they revealed the ropes convulsing around San's very happy cock. "Fuck, I thought you were the only one that was going to have fun after this," San said, clearly directing his words towards you.
Hongjoong abandoned his post near Seonghwa and walked towards Wooyoung and San. "Figure it out, Seonghwa. I will begin the ritual by licking the male's cock and then yours."
"What?!" San and Seonghwa exclaimed at the same time.
"But I thought I was going next!" Wooyoung protested.
"Is there something you adore in your world?" You asked gently.
"There is a moon that orbits our planet. It is the most beautiful pink color I have ever had the pleasure of viewing," Seonghwa responded solemnly.
You pressed your lips inwards. "Will you call me your moon, then?"
"My moon," Seonghwa tried out the words carefully.
You smiled at the cute moment before giggling as San cursed loudly, which is usually what he did when he got his dick sucked. Hongjoong walked back to your side with a thoughtful expression. "He tastes interesting." Hongjoong locked eyes with Seonghwa, "Will you taste differently?"
Seonghwa let out a garbled gasp as Hongjoong gripped Seonghwa’s cock between the two of you and licked the head daintily. "Different but not in a bad way," Hongjoong observed. When Seonghwa simply stared at him in shock, Hongjoong directed Seonghwa with a jerk of his chin, "Focus, Seonghwa, you have to fuck the female!"
"My Moon," Seognhwa tried out the nickname again, "I'll use San's cum as lubricant and fuck you?"
You nodded eagerly and it all started up again. Seonghwa slid into you, with no restrictions. The look of pure enrapture on Seonghwa’s face made you realize, somewhat belatedly, that this was Seonghwa’s first time. He came at it with such an analytical mind that it made you forget he had never had sex before.
"I have discovered why humans copulate in such a way," Seonghwa said with reverence. "This pussy is so good."
Hongjoong stared up at Seonghwa, eyes studying the taller alien's faces. "Explain."
"The warmth and the wetness give unfathomable pleasure and comfort." Seonghwa's hands tightened on your ass and then began to move you up and down on his dick, like you were his own personal fleshlight. The moan he let out, the way his eyebrows furrowed like he was in pain, Seonghwa was pussy drunk on his first pussy.
"I told you there is no greater pleasure than fucking that pussy," San spoke up.
"Speed it up, Mingi," Wooyoung commanded, "He’s close."
"I don't think--!" San's back bowed as the ropes contracted and released around his dick. He was a babbling mess at that point and Wooyoung was quite interested in the whole display.
Hongjoong gripped Seonghwa’s jaw and turned his head. "Your mind is unraveling, what is wrong with you?"
Seonghwa shook his head and fucked you enthusiastically. The way he was hitting the end of you was making you feel some type of way as well. "You must experience it! That is the only explanation."
Hongjoong stepped back and was about to remove his robe. Seonghwa snarled almost animalistically towards Hongjoong, like he was snapping his jaws at Hongjoong to stay away from his meat. “You will not interrupt me until I am done.”
Hongjoong smiled pleasantly. “Seems like it is not just the human males that become territorial. Theory confirmed.”
Seonghwa appeared stuck between the pleasure he was experiencing and his role as researcher for data. His head swung towards San’s direction. "How do you STOP fucking this pussy? How do you not procreate all the time?"
San laughed and sighed at the same time. "My point exactly. I tell her all the time that it’s a crime we don’t just stay in bed all day and fuck."
Seonghwa sent you a wounded look. "How dare you deny him this?"
You laughed in amazement. “I guess males are all the same, regardless of the planet they are born on.”
Seonghwa grew serious. “I will complete my research now.”
Hongjoong clucked his tongue to the roof of his mouth. “You’re starting to sound human. Be more patient! I would have you observe how you’re feeling more.”
Seonghwa shook his head, looking almost nervous. “I don’t believe I have a choice.”
You couldn't help but smile in pride. “Are you going to come so quickly, Seonghwa? Are you that pussy drunk that you can’t help but come inside of me just like that? I didn’t know it would be so fun to fuck a virgin.”
San’s cries began to crescendo and you watched, along with Wooyoung, as San tossed his head back and spurted across the room. His noises were like music to your ear, only making you even wetter, impaled on Seonghwa’s dick. San panted as he came down from his high but still he was not released. “Can I take these rope things home with me when you release us?”
Hongjoong scolded him, “Wooyoung, you were supposed to collect his cum! This is not a leisurely pursuit!”
You clenched down on Seonghwa and he let out a choked gasp at the feeling. “Please, do not do that! I am already close.”
You decided to play into your devious tendencies. Teasing Seonghwa was almost too much fun. “Come for me, Hwa. Fill me up with your cum. I want to be the first one to receive your cum. I want to be the first one to watch your pleasure written over your face. Come for me, Hwa.”
“Hwa?” Seonghwa’s eyebrows furrowed as if he was feeling intense pain, “Th--” He made the most wonderful moan as he came for the first time. His features were etched in bliss and your eyes captured it all.
You bit down on your lip. You thought that you couldn't get any wetter yourself, but regardless of all the cum that was filling you up right now, you quickly knew you were going to get addicted to seeing these aliens come for the first time within you.
“And?” Hongjoong prompted, not even giving Seonghwa a moment to breath.
Seonghwa ignored him and instead focused on you. “Is it customary to shorten your partners name when speaking to them during the fucking process?”
You felt your heart flop a bit. Who knew Seonghwa could be so cute? “It just felt natural. Did you like it?”
“It--” Seonghwa cleared the potential whine from his throat, “It urged me to come.”
You smiled happily. “Good.”
“Good?” Seonghwa frowned in confusion.
Hongjoong began to huff at being ignored. “This was an utter failure. Seonghwa you can remove yourself from the female. Wooyoung, you will send down Mingi to observe, you’ve been useless.”
Seonghwa pulled out of you and it was your turn to be confused. Green, shimmering, viscous liquid pooled out of you, mixed with San’s pure white cum. “Oh,” was all that Seonghwa could say.
Hongjoong’s eyes were on your cunt, watching everything. “Our cum is a different color than the humans. Interesting. Mingi, make sure that’s recorded. We will extract Seonghwa’s sample another day.”
“I will be back,” Seonghwa whispered to you before carefully settling down on your feet. Even as he picked up his robe and put it back on and walked towards the disc that would take him upwards, he still sent lingering looks back to you. Had the alien formed a bond with you since you were his first?
“What about me?” San pouted. He did tend to get clingy after a climax.
Hongjoong’s eyes moved up and down San’s restrained body, San’s soft cock still out of his confines. “Two climaxes should have subdued you.”
Wooyoung snickered and drew Hongjoong’s attention. “I told you to leave,” Hongjoong commanded.
Wooyoung kicked at nothing, sulking immediately. “I’m going after you!” he shouted rebelliously as he walked to the disc to join Seonghwa.
“You’re going to be as useless as Seonghwa, I can already tell,” Hongjoong muttered under his breath.
You held up a hand as Hongjoong made to disrobe. “I need a break. Please. Water and food would be appreciated.”
Hongjoong pulled back up his robe and you were almost sorry you said something. Hongjoong almost had as nice of a chest as San. “Very well. You should gather your energy and then we will come back. I will find out if there is no greater pleasure than fucking your pussy.”

Doom anon, yeah I have all the Dooms on Switch now. the classic Dooms -- Doom (1993), Doom II, Doom 64, Doom 3 -- those are all really cheap on Switch and also go on sale for extremely cheap pretty often, I should've mentioned the QuakeCon sale is happening -- is it still ongoing? if it is then all of them are still on sale on Steam and Switch and likely on other consoles too
anyway yeah I had the classic Dooms on Switch for quite awhile, I was just hesitant to get Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal on Switch because they had to take such a huge hit to downgrade them to run on Switch, but since I don't have a good PC or money for one, well, I might as well get them on Switch during a really good sale
then I got the classic Dooms on PC too because why not, I can play other mods that way and play source ports that add new features and maybe make my own levels. although with Doom 3 it's more I got it on PC to play with keyboard and mouse since I didn't like the controller layout on Switch when I tested it out and couldn't find a remap that felt good to me
the Unity shell remasters of Doom (1993) and Doom II include both Final Doom expansions as official add-ons which you need to download with a Bethesda.net account while Doom II includes the Master Levels in the base game download, while on PC on Steam if you buy Doom or Doom II you get the modern Unity shell versions and the DOS versions with DOSbox to run them, and Doom II includes the DOS versions of Final Doom and the Master Levels as well
I guess I should explain the Doom titles. you got Doom, the first game, that was shareware. it used the shareware model of the time, the first episode is free but the next 2 episodes you have to buy the full version to play. then the earliest console versions of Doom released, and the Atari Jaguar one oddly enough had no music while playing the actual levels because that processor was being used for gameplay. as I mentioned in earlier asks, Jaguar also had 2 new levels by American McGee, who also did all the PC level conversions for Jaguar and was a level designer for Doom II and The Ultimate Doom (as well as being famous for his Alice games)
then you had Doom II, that was retail so its campaign wasn't split into episodes (maybe that's why Jaguar wasn't split up either?). then Doom had a retail release, The Ultimate Doom, which added a 4th episode to give it more value -- but the shareware version got it as a free update too, you didn't need to buy it twice to play the new levels (which, fun fact, a lot of Thy Flesh Consumed -- the name of the 4th episode -- was comprised of levels made by the community and approved by id as quality control)
then the Super Nintendo port of Doom, which was actually made from scratch rather than a port of the Doom engine, was released, followed by the PlayStation version I talked about in earlier asks which was derived from the Jaguar port (as are most other console ports). PlayStation includes Jaguar's levels, plus levels from The Ultimate Doom, plus most of Doom II as a separate campaign, plus 6 new levels made by the team doing this port. the same team, which was at Williams Entertainment/Midway Games (also publishers of SNES Doom, but not the developers), would be responsible for Final Doom's PlayStation port and Doom 64 and Quake 64, which I'll get to in a little bit
then the Master Levels for Doom II was released, which was a set of maps created by the community but sold commercially by id -- their response to the various 3rd party map packs being sold that usually were of a poor quality. some of the level designers on Master Levels had contributed to Thy Flesh Consumed also. most of these levels were already finished and submitted to id as a kind of contest to get in the Master Levels; many were intended as part of their own series of levels or episode replacements for Doom. previously publicly available levels were rejected, regardless of their quality, but the Master Levels was released with a bonus disc called Maximum Doom which was just like more than 1,800 random levels thrown together on a CD with zero quality control
then you had the 3DO port of Doom, which is... a mess, for so many reasons. the only developer on it was given only 10 weeks to port it, because the publisher who licensed the game from id was under the impression it'd be very easy to port it to 3DO. it has a great soundtrack though, which is actually live music played by the publisher CEO's garage band because there wasn't time to program a music driver so it was easier to stream it from the CD. fun fact, the dev who had the job to port it to 3DO -- Rebecca Ann Heineman -- later came out as a trans woman. her wife is Jennell Jaquays, another trans woman who worked in video games and I think is (or was? probably still is) the creative director for the Transgender Human Rights Institute in Seattle which created the petition for Leelah's Law to ban conversion therapy in the USA
next you had Final Doom. like the Master Levels, id didn't actually make this one, the community did. Final Doom is a set of 2 standalone expansions for Doom II, both of them full 32 level campaigns like Doom II. TNT: Evilution was made by TeamTNT, who would also later create the source port Boom as well as doing other levels. the other one was The Plutonia Experiment, which was made by the brothers Dario and Milo Casali -- who, fun fact, were the sons of Kim Casali, who was the cartoonist who did "Love Is..."
TNT: Evilution was very controversial as part of Final Doom because it was originally going to be free, but just before its release -- literally the night before its release -- John Romero made a publishing deal with TeamTNT to do a commercial release for it. this pissed off a lot of the community for awhile at the time
then the next major Doom game of note was the PlayStation version of Final Doom, which had no story as far as I'm aware and is a total mishmash of Final Doom and the Master Levels for Doom II, handled by the same team as PlayStation Doom
then Doom 64 was released for Nintendo 64 by again the same team as the PlayStation games. this isn't a Doom port, but rather a whole new game. there was going to be a sequel, with a "fair number" of maps completed and splitscreen deathmatch fully finished, but it was canceled in favor of the Quake port to Nintendo 64, called Quake 64, which was mostly just a port (with changes to accommodate the N64, of course). Doom's engine was seen as dated at the time, and honestly it was dated years earlier. other FPS games like Star Wars: Dark Forces completely blew it away with what they could do, and that was in 1995. in 1997, the same year Doom 64 released, you had Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and GoldenEye 007 on the same console -- Doom's engine was ancient compared to other 90s games in terms of its capabilities, so the decision made sense. Doom 64 was the last Doom game to use a version of the original Doom engine, albeit modified greatly (but not as much as, say, the Heretic/Hexen games did)
1997 also saw the release of the Linux port's source code and the first source port back to DOS a mere 5 hours later
so out of everything I mentioned so far, id did Doom, the Jaguar port, Doom II, and The Ultimate Doom (with community members contributing maps to that one as well)
this explains why, despite Final Doom and Doom 64 existing, the next Doom game by id would be called Doom 3. Doom 3 used an entirely different engine, and it was in 3D with voice acting and cinematics and vertical aiming and jumping. it's different. it's not the same Doom in a lot of ways, not the same action-heavy game, more horror focused, more slow-paced. it's like a reboot or reimagining of the story. its differences from earlier games led to a polarized reception, with both praise and criticism of it
then Nerve Software developed Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, which released as both dlc for and later as a standalone expansion of Doom 3
next Nerve Software developed the Doom II port to Xbox 360 Live Arcade, which included a new 9 level episode (like the original Doom had) called No Rest for the Living, which is available to download as an official add-on in both the remasters of Doom & Doom II. if trying to play in a source port, not all of them can support it, so I doubt if you could play it in the original DOS release
then Doom 3: BFG Edition was released, which is like an enhanced version of Doom 3 with many changes from the original. it also included the XBLA versions of Doom (The Ultimate Doom) and Doom II (including No Rest for the Living). buying Doom 3 now on Steam gives you all the versions and dlc for Doom 3, so you can play either the BFG Edition or the original. BFG also includes The Lost Mission, a new mini-campaign for Doom 3. the version of Doom 3 on current consoles like Switch is based on the BFG Edition, but it omits Doom & Doom II, likely since they're available separately
then you have 2016's Doom, which shares its name with 1993's Doom, hence frequently specifying Doom (1993) or Doom (2016). Doom (2016) is maybe a soft reboot? the way it relates to other games continuity-wise is... unclear. there are many connections, but they seem contradictory at times. Doom had a few multiplayer dlc packs and a port to the Switch once Switch came out
next was Doom VFR, which I have to assume stands for Virtual Fucking Reality in the way BFG stands for Big Fucking Gun. it's in the same continuity as Doom (2016)
then John Romero released Sigil, which is an unofficial 5th episode to the original Doom set after The Ultimate Doom's 4th episode. ironically you can't play it in original Doom, you need a limit-removing source port or to play it in one of the Unity shell remasters by downloading it as an official add-on. he released a level or two earlier, but not a full 9 level episode like Sigil was, which is why I mention it
then the Unity shell versions of Doom & Doom II were released, also developed by Nerve Software, initially in a pretty rough state tbh but with updates they're pretty good now. the only major issues left are that music in the base games doesn't loop correctly, it just starts over, but it has support for official add-ons to work; also you can't remap buttons on consoles, or set it to its original framerate on consoles. of course anyone who dislikes these can just use a source port instead, though on consoles you'll have to mod your console first. still, for how cheap these are, it's a good deal, and unlike some source ports it's highly accurate and the curated add-ons all work perfectly
then the Nightdive Studios remaster of Doom 64 released on modern consoles & PC, the first time it was officially re-released or officially ported to another system. Doom Eternal released the same time, but not on Switch yet, as Panic Button needed longer to work on the Switch port
then The Ancient Gods dlc for Doom Eternal was released in 2 parts, then Doom 3: VR Edition is the latest major release (PSVR exclusive I think). John Romero is currently developing Sigil 2 as a mod for Doom II, which will likely again require a limit-removing source port. I expect (or hope) it will be an official add-on too
should I mention the phone RPGs? I might. I mean, since I mentioned VR games. there was Doom RPG on mobile phones in 2005. it's a turn-based RPG. I won't go into depth about it, but it shares continuity with 2008's Wolfenstein RPG and 2010's Doom II RPG. speaking of Wolfenstein, the original Wolfenstein 3D and Doom continuity were also shared, Doomguy is supposed to be a descendant of BJ Blazkowicz, as well as Commander Keen of the Commander Keen games. some fan theories suggest the Doom 2016 continuity follows the same continuity as the modern Wolfenstein continuity where the Nazis conquered the USA, but I don't think there's a definitive answer officially
not to go off-topic but the original Wolfenstein games before Wolfenstein 3D were actually more like stealth games, and they were played top-down like most Legend of Zelda games before Ocarina of Time. part of me wishes they'd remake those old games, it'd be a change of pace for the series
also, there's a history to Doom 64's remaster that I didn't get into but is worth talking about. since this ask is a mile long already, I won't do that here, but let me know if you want to hear about it!
sorry this is long, all I can say is I'm autistic lmao. I actually trimmed this to be shorter too...
I feel like remaking Doom is like an age old tradition lol like how could humans 1000s of years from now not look back and go "I think Doom was a large part of American culture"? We keep remaking this game lol this is the Madden of violent games. Every few years someone is like "we should port/remake Doom again" and everyone agrees because what reason is there not to?
ALSO shout out to Rebecca and Jennell for both of their work in this video game icon and also in their work helping protect trans people! 💗💗💗
#my answers#Kia's answers#I wanna see a family tree of Doom lol#i know it'd be obnoxiously huge#long post

Favorite videogame consoles growing up.
[ S Tier ]
Nintendo DS - I had the most nostalgia for it as well as the DSi, I had a Blue bulky DS, then I had a light blue DSi (sadly the LR buttons broke), and currently I have a silver pink DS lite.
Nintendo GameCube - Another console I spent a lot of time on as a kid, mine was a silver system covered in Rock Band stickers (the old bubble TV I had was covered in them as well), and a Wavebird controller. I also had the Gameboy player disc and bottom piece to play GBA games on my TV.
Nintendo Switch - I play on this thing every other day since the day I got it, it's a first edition Switch that came bundled with BotW, sadly it's falling apart, and I plan to get a replacement for it soon.
[ A Tier ]
Nintendo Wii U - The system I got was a black console which came bundled with Nintendo Land. It runs great, however the left stick has seen so much use that it may occasionally drift.
Nintendo 3DS - I loved this one quite a lot, and I love the Wii U just as much. As big of a cringe storm as Miiverse was, I still kinda miss it. The first 3DS I got was a cosmo black original. After that I got the red New Nintendo 3DS XL model, then the Majora's Mask limited edition New 3DS XL, and then the Hylian Shield 2DS XL I have now. (I also had a red original 2DS which I got with A Link Between Worlds. Kinda hated the design philosophy of it being a slab that I can't close and fit into my pocket. Like, I understand the whole 2D only angle, but why take away one of the defining characteristics of a DS in general?)
Nintendo Wii - The third childhood system I grew up along with. I have my own white model Wii system (I think it's an older model?) But I used to play on my mother's older Wii system, which was loaded with games to play, as well as the fun Wii channel games that used WiiConnect24 for online play. Sadly that one got traded in before everything on it could get transferred to the Wii U they bought right after.
[ B Tier ]
PlayStation 3 - My dad owned the original huge expensive model that could play both PS1 and PS2 games on it, however the disc drive on it broke so it became impossible to play anything that wasn't digitally downloaded. The only games I really played on it as a kid were Little Big Planet, Katamari Forever, and Minecraft. Other than that I didn't have all that much nostalgia for the thing. I do have a slimmer model in storage in case I ever have a reason to dig that thing out again.
PlayStation - The only reason I got this system was so I could play Final Fantasy on it, and it was fun for quite a while, but then I just kinda got tired of fuzzy graphics so I moved onto better versions of those games.
Gameboy Advance - Here's another system I grew up with. I didn't have the original model, but I did used to play on a Gameboy Micro, which came with tons of changeable face place. I also had a Gameboy Advance SP at one point.
PlayStation Portable - there were quite a few PSP games I did enjoy, 2 of which I can't even remember the names of. But I did play Little Big Planet, Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron, and I loved Dissidia Final Fantasy. Other than that, didn't care all that much for the handheld.
Xbox 360 - I have an original model that's still alive due to the fact I haven't touched it in years, and the only games I have played on it are an Ace Combat Assault Horizon, and Star Wars Battlefront II. I have recently picked up the 360 exclusive Beautiful Katamari, and I hope to play that sometime soon.
Super Nintendo - Don't get me wrong, this machine pumped out lots of fantastic titles that I still need to catch up on, and I did have one with a few games as a child, but sadly I didn't really spend as much time with it as I should have, and I want to love it and everything it has to offer.
[ C Tier ]
Gameboy - I couldn't remember if it was a Gameboy or Gameboy Color I had growing up. I just remember it being a little big, but it still had color. My memory is probably messing with me. Sadly didn't have very many games to play on it, aside from Game and Watch Gallery, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, and Super Mario Land 2. Also the one I used to have had a terrible battery, the system would only stay on when plugged into the charger.
NES - I personally only had vague memories of playing Super Mario Bros. 3 on the original model, and I wanted to show it appreciation for everything that came after it, but I didn't really have enough games to play on it other than Mario, Duck Hunt, Punch-Out, Zelda and Burger Time. Not to mention me giving up after losing so much at some of those games. Still loved games like Zelda 2 and Mega Man tho once I looked deeper into the NES library.

What gamecube games do you have?
Tbh, I don't have as many as I used to. I went searching for all of them but some are missing completely and others, I found the cases but not the discs... But a lot of games I had were based of kid's movies so I don't really mind those going missing since I'll probably never play those again.
So, my sister and I are making a list of games that need to be replaced because seven year old me was a dumbass who never took care of her DVDs and games... And I hate her for it.
But, yeah, most of my games are Sonic games because Sonic was a very big part of my childhood. I mean, Sonic The Hedgehog on the Mega Drive was the first game I ever played, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was my first game, i.e just belonged to me, didn't have to share with family, Sonic is what got me interested in voice acting 'cause my tiny mind was blown when I found out Sonic and Shadow were voiced by the same person in some games.
The rest of the assortment is pretty random. I mean I've got some of the classics like Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash (still my favourite Mario Kart ngl), Luigi's Mansion, etc.
There's also Pokemon Colleseum which I never actually managed to finish as a kid so I wanna try and do that now I can play it again.
And there's The Simpsons Hit & Run and The Simpsons Road Rage which my sister and I played so much of when I was growing up, literally everyone I knew who had Hit & Run loved it.
And I've got Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly which I can remember loving as a kid but everyone else seems to hate it? I mean, my memories of it are fuzzy but I don't recall ever running into any glitches while playing it? Did find it annoying trying to catch the dragonflies though...
And a couple of Sims games that belonged to my sister called Bustin' Out and Urbz. Bustin' Out, I don't really remember a lot about 'cause it required so much memory space just to play it so nine times outta ten, we couldn't play it. But Urbz was the one my sister played so much of. I don't remember a lot about it 'cause it's been so long, but I know there was about twelve different areas you could go to and there were sims of the Black Eyed Peas in it??? And the soundtrack was entirely Black Eyed Peas music???? I dunno, I can't remember much but it was weird.
But there's a lot of series that I'm interested in now that I didn't even know existed when I was little so there's a lot of games that I wanna buy so my collection will become a lot bigger. But I'm honestly just really excited to play all these games from my childhood because I haven't been able to play them for about eleven years and nostalgia is a very powerful thing.

Realizing That The Destruction Of Asgard Was Inevitable, Thor Thanks Loki For Returning For Him And The 2 Brothers Reconcile, Before Taking The Captain's Chair And Assuming His Birthright As King Of Asgard With His Friends And Family By His Side As They Set A Course For Earth...
We Get A Mid Credits Scene Where Loki Wonders If He Will Be Welcome On Earth After Everything He Did In The First Avengers Movie But With Thor Telling Him That He'll Deal With Everything But Not Before Dealing With A Giant Spaceship That Will Ruin The Happy Ending That Came From This Movie...
We Also Get A End Credits Scene With The Grandmaster Confronted By The People Who Used To Be His Slaves As He Tries To Declare A Draw To No Success...
And That's Thor Ragnarok And It's The Best Thor Movie Ever!
The Story's Great, The Characters Are Great And Hillarious And I Like Hela As The Bad Guy But I Think They Shouldn't Have Had Skurge The Executioner In This Movie Without The Person He Actually Serves, The Enchantress (Yeah, I Know They Had A Character Called Enchantress In Suicide Squad But Marvel's Enchantress Is Alot More Sexier Than Her) But Aside From That Criticism I Defiantly Say, See It...
Till Next Time, This Is Duke, Signing Off..

Currently Playing The Legend of Dragoon - Update 1.3
February 8, 2023

I made it to chapter 2 in The Legend of Dragoon! I had to look up how to switch discs but thankfully it wasn't hard at all.

From my Instagram Stories @jessjustplay
Of course, before we reached chapter 2, we had to beat disc 1's boss. And wow he was tough!

In my last update, we were heading to the Black Castle. We made it there and barely managed to beat the boss. I had Dart, Albert, and Rose in my party. Albert has terrible magic defense, so he actually died on me TWICE. The first time I revived him, but I didn't want to waste any moves on trying to revive him when I just wanted to be done with the fight.

After much perseverance, I was able to beat this guy. A whole lot of defending/healing and badly played Additions, but we did it!

Chapter 2 starts off at the Twin Castle at Fletz. What a beautiful village! They love astronomy there and it shows. There are a lot of rooftops to watch the stars from, including a lot of telescopes. I really loved how the place looked at night. So magical!

Speaking of magical, we headed to one of the prettiest places I have ever seen in a video game: Donau! We didn't find Lloyd at Fletz so we came here, but Lloyd was absent here too. BUT we did meet someone!

We met Meru and she's awesome. I'm so glad she joined our team!

I really wanted to see Meru in battle so I had to take Albert out. I wish we could replace Dart, because I prefer Albert over him. Oh well. So far Meru is a good fighter. She is much weaker than Albert, obviously, but I just love her look & personality. I couldn't take Rose away because I love her, so this is my team for awhile.
We went back to Fletz to get the king's letter to go through the valley of corrupted something, so next time I play we will head over there. Hopefully this team is okay, if not I will switch Albert back in!

I can’t emphasize enough how Nothing it is. it’s not just mischaracterization, it’s a Lack Of characterization. this is what I mean when I say it feels like a Skeleton. they stripped down everything about the history of the discs, about the conflict on the server pre-wilbur, about tommy and even about Dream, and then didn’t replace it with anything.
I genuinely don’t understand how anyone who was familiar with the source material would have this Absolutely Nothing to say about it.
and then there's Wilbur
1: dream is supposed to be the oppressive force that wilbur is rebelling against, with wilbur's characterization as a trouble maker being completely wiped clean. But They Haven't Even Spoken To Each Other Yet. dream hasn't even Done Anything Noteworthy On Screen outside of the intro.
This Song Right Here is supposed to be where we get into Why they should rebel, Why wilbur thinks the system is oppressive. and not only is wilbur Not Even There To Hear The Part Where Tommy Is Explaining It, there's literally Nothing There beyond dream taking tommy's discs.
how could wilbur's motivations as a character Possibly Have Weight if the world he exists in is made out of cardboard, if the forces he stands against May As Well Not Exist beyond being props for him to act around in.
2: Wilbur Soot Being Exasperated With Tommyinnit Getting Into Trouble? Can You Even Believe?
they do this consistently with wilbur and tubbo, they present them like they Just Can't Believe that tommy would be this great big trouble maker, while Also keeping in the skeleton beats from the Real wilbur and tubbo.
we have a wilbur that's Deliberately presented as being at odds with tommy, as being someone that tommy Doesn't and Couldn't get, who sees tommy as a trouble maker that needs to straighten out his act. who Also suggests a drug van in order to spark change in the government. Somehow.
and throughout this we're Still given a wilbur that's exasperated with tommy being the comic relief screwball.
it's Bad in terms of being an adaptation, it's bad for establishing investment in these characters and their relationships together, and it's bad in terms of Wilbur's characterization.
Why does wilbur feel the way that he does, Why does he do the things that he does, it doesn't make sense.
I think ctommys song should have been reminiscent of Good Kid from the lightning thief musical
Context: [Link]
SO TRUE. it would’ve honestly fit even better with what I Think the musical was going for with tommy and wilbur’s relationship (like with the discs being a gift from wilbur). playing up tommy’s idolization of wilbur as an Older Brother Figure along side the Vibes in good kid, having tommy want to live up wilbur’s expectations while wilbur is trying to do the Same, would’ve done well to temper his role as comedic relief.
that said, it would’ve been Completely Possible to write a comedy song for the disc war As Long As It’s A Dark Comedy. the original disc war was Already a dark comedy, with Joke being that dream was going So Far over something inherently silly for him to be putting that much effort in. you can Have comedic disc war song, as long as you get the Details right. as long as you get Clingyduo right, as long as you get the inherent Unease just below the surface right.
the problem is that the song had literally no details.

Hello, Its me au anon back in the grind!
on todays episode: Ghost Au! Yay :D I've actually thought of this one a lot lol idk of you need this but maybe derealization tw idk just in case.
also For convenience sake I started to think of titles for each au, we will call this one: 'Whispers at Dawn'
It needed some repairs but that's how all fixer ups are, ok nothing can be done about that. The house had character and that's what matter, or that is what George wants to tell himself, it was gonna be a hustle to get everything sorted out. ''its just temporary''
just need to make a fuck ton of money coding, *HA* as if. Being a broke college student had being his reality for the longest but finally that was all in the past now George was officially a broke college graduate!
But things were looking good he already had some small projects lined up and a business interview in 2 weeks and its not like he really hates the apartment cause he really had gotten a good deal for the flat. The owner even being nice enough to offer him to keep in the furniture.
He really didn't have that many things so moving in had been easier that what he initially thought all that was left was a single box he had already gone through it was mostly albums and pictures and yearbooks, nothing he really needed some of the pictures even reminding him of bad moments he didn't want to recall but he couldn't bring himself to throw it away either
...
George settle with putting it in the storage, out of sight out of mind.
----------------------
George was too young to have an aneurism but he sure felt like that's what it was, How had he manage to fuck up so badly it was just a stupid box. He should have let it go when he saw how full the storage was, probably some more stuff the owner had left in... but still he should have known better, of course he couldn't reach that high.
He looked down at the mess now at his feet music sheets and music records, some CDs already lay broken on the floor it wasn't until George turned to the side that he let himself groan in frustration, to his side lay a beautiful (broken) acoustic guitar.
shit, he really couldn't afford this right now
He threw away the broken discs taking note of the album names so he could replace them later, reorganized the music papers and decided to take his box back with him, just decided to throw it under the bed for the time being,
he looked back to the only item left, the acoustic guitar
it hurt looking at it, each second filling his guilt even more
taking a deep breath he approached it to asses the damage, picking it gently it seemed to only have broke at the base of the neck, hopefully that wouldn't be as expensive as buying a whole new guitar.
As he turned the guitar in his hands to further examined it a chill ran through George's body
that was the only warning he got until he felt himself be pushed down to the floor and blank out for a second, next thing he knew he was watching his body limp in the floor.
he didn't even registered when the scream left his mouth, was he death? why wasn't he moving? How can he feel cold when he staring at his body? but his confusion and fear were nothing compared to what he felt when his body finally blinked and stand up.
if he wasn't panicking before he sure was now
''this has to be a dream'' he told himself, too out of it at that point ''please wake up'' 'i just need to wake up'' 'wake up'' he repeated as a mantra 'wake up'' ''wake up'' ''wake up'' ''wake up'' ''wake up'' as if the repetition of the word would make his wish come true ''WAKE UP''
George hadn't notice but his body was now fully facing him with a conflicted expression,
a choke up ''wake up'' was all it took.
it was the touch of his own hands that brought him out of it, bit encasing his cheeks, his own face giving him an apologetic smile before bumping their heads together and suddenly the cold was gone. He was no longer staring at himself but at someone else, a very tall, a brown hair somebody and if George stared enough he could almost see through him.
''could you let me go?'' George shyly asked the stranger, he was emotionally exhausted he just wanted to get away, get away as soon as possible.
Not sensing the tension the stranger laughed ''OH MY GOD you can SEE me??? What a day, would have never though such a thing could happen'' the stranger shifted giving George some breathing space as the other kept his exited rant until he remembered something, ''so sorry by the way'' shifting uncomfortably but making sure to make eye contact with George as he said the his next line ''about your body I mean, I didn't intentionally take it, it wasn't on purpose, i just wanted you to know I am not like that''
straightening himself as if intending to be formal he extended a hand to George '' Lets start over, I'm Wilbur'' the stranger announced with a soft smile.
In the floor silently still lay the acoustic guitar, unbeknown to the two its back now at full display showcasing its beautiful engraving,
the initials W. Soot
-there we go!, i do have more ideas for this one but not sure yet, I've only read angsty ghost stories but never written angst so do we want to go there? do let me know your thoughts!!!!! I will continue this one, probably will send another anon later on this week, we will see, take care.
-au anon
GEORGE TAKIJG DOWN THE NAMES OF THE CDS HE BROKE SO HE CAN REPLACE THEMMM🥺🥺🥺 I think the idea of him seeing the ghost as himself at first is really interesting and I like it a lot, and Wilbur being able to "take" his body as well. I've not read a lot of ghost aus but I think it's very cool:] Wilbur wanting to start over in introduce himself is cute. I'd love to see how George adapts to Wilbur being round, and I think Wilbur realising someone can see him would bring him a lot of joy, I feel he'd like the company. I'd love to see the friendship/relationship develop !!! This is so good

How to Fix "Couldn't Unmount Disk" Error
Have you ever met "can't unmount disk mac" or "erase process has failed" error on your Mac? How to fix it without data loss? Recently, I have encountered some problems on my Mac, and it didn't allow me to repair the directory or permissions in Disk Utility. And an error "Disc couldn't unmount disk" or "erase process has failed." Why? This error can happen during partitioning, disk verification and repair, and even during formatting. What's worse, there's no additional information provided to solve the issue. It still can fail to fix disk issues accompanied with some error messages, such as "couldn't Unmount Disk" or "erase process has failed." This error generally results from improper modification of the boot drive, such as partitioning, disk verification, or repairing or formatting. When this error pops up, not only will the Disk Utility halt suddenly, but the disk will suffer as well, such as damaged data on this disk. Therefore, it is imperative to resolve this error as soon as possible. Here we will share three solutions.
Methods to fix "couldn't unmount disk" error
1. Resolve with USB Boot Drive
If "Couldn't Unmount Disk" or "erase process has failed" error occurs, the simplest solution is to boot the Mac system and run Disk Utility on the disk. By this means, you can make use of USB boot drive. 1. First off, insert the USB boot drive to Mac and reboot. 2. Then, during booting, you should hold down the "Option" key button to select the attached boot drive. 3. Next, in the boot menu, select "Disk Utility." 4. After that, go to "First Aid" and verify the disk. 5. Lastly, perform the original task on the original disk.
2. Fix with Recovery Partition
If the error message appears during "First Aid" or formatting a non-boot disk, the above means will not make effects surely. At this point, you can try solving it with Recovery Partition. 1. For a start, reboot your Mac. 2. Then, when booting, hold down the "Option" key to select Recovery Partition. 3. Next, access Disk Utility from the boot menu. 4. Lastly, select "First Aid" to re-verify the disk or choose "Erase" to format the disk at your will.
3. Solve with Command Line
Moreover, you can also attempt to eradicate this error, forcing unmounting disk by command line. Follow the steps below: 1. To begin with, you have to access the Terminal application. 2. Then, input the "diskutil list" line, which will list out all the disks on the Mac. 3. At this time, you ought to find out the disk that you want to force unmount. 4. Lastly, you should type "sudo diskutil unmountDisk force /dev/disk" line. Replace the "/dev/disk" with the correct disk number, such as "/dev/disk1". If you found your drive in unmounted condition on Mac and urgently need to recover the data, then recover them as below steps.
Steps to recover data from an unmounted drive on Mac
Download and Install Data Recovery for Mac software
