Painting the Temple

It was a warm, peaceful evening in Temple City. The birds were chirping, the remlits were purring, all was calm.

CRASH.

"...Link?" A feminine voice called from outside the Temple, "Is everything alright?"

"YES!" A muffled voice called from inside, "EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT! DON'T WORRY, ZELDA!"

"...Are you certain?" Zelda shared a glance with Groose.

Groose shrugged. He had been working on the Groosenator all morning.

"...Promise me you won't get angry," Link peaked out from the Temple's entrance.

Groose, sensing that this was more than likely to get messy, scooted away.

Zelda narrowed her eyes at Link, "What did you do?"

Link held his hands up, "Come see for yourself!"

Zelda walked over and past Link, pushing the doors to the Temple wide open. Freezing, Zelda surveyed the scene in front of her. Lying on the ground, covered in dirt and paint, lays Sonia, Link and Zelda's 8-year-old daughter. Turning to Link, Zelda spots the similar mess that lays on Link's clothes.

"Hi, Mama!" Sonia waved from her spot on the ground, "We're painting!"

"Hi, Sweet Flea, why are you painting?" Zelda walked over to Sonia, scooping the little girl into her arms. "And why are you covered in dirt?"

"We were talking with the Kikwis and there was a lotta mud," Sonia waved her hands around as she spoke, "And then we came in here and Papa knocked over the paint cans and, and-"

Link would laugh, walking over to the two "I think that's enough, you little remlit."

Sonia pouted before giggling as Link ruffled her hair. Zelda shook her head fondly. She couldn't be mad at her husband, no matter how hard she tries.

"Well, it looks like you aren't entirely to blame for my worry, Link," Zelda grins, bouncing Sonia in her arms, "You have a little partner in crime here!"

and that's where it ends cuz endings suck.
