omg how do you animate so smoothly?? may I ask do you use a specific program or do you redraw the same thing 100 times? either way please take your crown you deserve it 👑✨

No redrawing (usually), I use a process that involves tweening and puppet animation/rigging. I use programs like Adobe After Effects and Spine for this, but I believe Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, and Live2D have them too.

Tweening is when you specify an asset moves from point A to point B, and the program creates all the frames in between for you.

Puppet animation is when you draw a character and then manipulate the art to have movement. It's just one drawing, but you can, for example, rotate the arm at the elbow like a hinge.

The Guys from my IZ AU!!

AU details and sketches under the cut :3

The rough plot of the AU is after ETF, Dib and Zim slowly become friends after Zim finds out his Tallest are dead etc. Then Zim disappears yet again for five years, this time he's been taken by the government to be held responsible for his actions during ETF and also to be experimented on and studied.

After five years he escapes and makes his way back to the Membrane household. Gaz is a sophomore in highschool, and she's wicked smart. She's vaguely into witchcraft but she's never telling Dib that. Dib is a sophomore in college studying Real Science and desperately wants to drop out.

After Zim returns, they decide to go on a cross country road trip to run from the authorities and chaos ensues :]

I sketched these during Anim 1 and I'm still learning after effects and ohhhh my god that whole lecture was nonsense to me. DUIK Angela is so confusing and I just zoned out the entire time and doodled and attempted to take notes but as you can see that didn't go very well T^T
