Their baby moon is an absolute bliss, taking her to the most exotic place ever, feeding her delicious fruits and fucking her full as if she wasn’t already pregnant.

Seeing him with their baby boy, makes her want many more

oh they go away for nearly a month before the baby arrives.

Short answer:  I do plan on finishing 1000 words and King!DaddyDaemon, hopefully before the new season, but we’ll see. 

Long answer: because this is on my mind rn and i'm hormonal and mopey...

Daemyra still has my heart and consumes most of my fic ideas, notes, and WIPs...like at least 150k of unpublished stuff sort of consumes, lol.

But finishing them has been hard recently, because posting them takes as much effort as it always has, but kind of makes me feel like shit in the aftermath?

I understand my preferences may differ from the fandoms at large…but they didn’t used to? At least not to this degree? Going from updating at night and waking up to a dozen comments to updating at night and waking up to none is...oof, especially since it feels a bit like the harder I work on something, the less reception it gets 😭

The disappointment in lack of feedback makes me disappointed in myself and it just sort of sucks. And I know fandom isn’t a competition but my brain likes to remind me that if it was, I’d be losing by a mile. 

And maybe this is conceited but I legitimately really like most of what I write and the fact that they don’t breed any sort of discussion and that so many familiar faces have disappeared from the comments makes me look at my fics that i would love to finish but like…for what? For who? I know how they end. So writing it for the sake of posting it knowing that no one will care and knowing I’ll be disappointed by that fact sort of hangs over me when trying to work on them negates any enjoyment I get out of writing it. 

So writing rare(r)pairs — baelonyra, rhaegon, daegonyra, etc, has been really really nice. They get even less feedback than Daemyra stuff (not by a lot tho with how my daemyra fics are going…😭) but I don’t expect as much feedback given the popularity of the pairing, and there are fewer authors writing similar stuff so I don’t get trapped in the negative cycle of comparing myself to others.

I wish I didn’t care or place the value of my work based on the response it gets, but I do. So writing everything but "just" Daemyra has kind of been my only way to keep writing even if they are where my mind is most often.

There will definitely be more Daemyra fics to come, I have too many ideas for there not to be. But that is a verrrrryyy long answer as to why they are on the back burner.

I'm so happy to hear that - thank you! Just doing what I can for the DaddyDaemon agenda. Sometimes I can't believe that what started as a "what if..." prompt (and was totally meant to just be a few chapters/mainly PWP) has turned into the current iteration. 😅
