When you step into sunlight, you honor Apollo. When you admire the moon, you honor Artemis. When you admire cloud shapes, you honor Hera. When you smell petrichor, you honor Zeus. When you laugh at a joke, you honor Hermes. When your body twitches to dance at a particularly upbeat music, you honor Dinoysus. When you enjoy the first bite of your breakfast, you honor Demeter. When you choose your peace over any conflict, you honor Athena. When you warm yourself up by sheltering yourself in blanket, you honor Hestia. When you listen to Ocean sounds, you honor Poseidon. When you smell flowers, you honor Persephone. When you admire the coolness of first day of Autumn, you honor Hades. When you wear your favourite jewellery, you honor Hephaestus. When you smile, you honor Aphrodite. When you exercise, you honor Ares. When you light a torch in a dark room, you honor Hekate.
Your body is a shrine to Gods, your being an act of devotion for them. You, by yourself, are enough for them.

About the Greek Gods doing shitty things in myths
First of all I have to say that I see the gods as representations of something bigger that we cannot comprehend otherwise. I believe they shape themselves in a way that we need.
Hera is the Goddess of marriage. Of course women who were cheated on would tell their stories through her. Ancient Greece was patriarchal. Of course the stories portrayed her as overly jealous, punishing other women instead of her husband. Zeus is a high male authority figure. Of course he is going to sleep with lots of women and boys in myths. Getting away with rape? Cheating on his wife? Doesn't sound that surprising to me.
The abduction of Persephone is about the changing of the seasons and how mothers feel when they are separated from their mothers through marriage. How common was it to get the girl's consent when she's getting married? Probably just an arrangement between fathers. Hell, how old were the girls?
The myths are reflections of the Greeks, not the gods. Gods are the characters of the stories. I do believe that the Greeks communicated with them through divination. I do believe that their religions were real. But we shouldn't forget that written texts can be messed with for political or social reasons. These are not holy books. We need to consider them carefully.

gaia, rhea, demeter
knees and fingers blackened from dirt, i greet your emissaries as they scurry and squirm away from the light
ants and isopods, spiders and centipedes, worms and grubs, they are nurtured by you just as much as the deep-rooted plants
they are nourished by your black earth as surely as we are nourished by the things that grow from it
so i apologize to them for moving the leaf litter, and i look carefully for slow-moving critters before i dig my tools in
i crush dry leaves and mix them in when i turn over the dirt, hoping to give something back to you, and to the uncountable creatures that do your work alongside you.

Something seriously underrated is Demeter as a goddess of beer. There's something divine in her drinks, the craft beers tasting of everything from chocolate to pineapple. Whether a pale ale or hard German beer, there's Demeter's lovely grains and loving smile at the wonders her cereals produce.

Demeter 🌾
A woman wrongly accused of being an abusive mother—when in truth, she was a survivor herself. Demeter, goddess of the harvest, knew suffering long before her daughter's birth. She had endured violation, knew the cruelty of men—even her own brothers, for better or worse. So, naturally, she did everything in her power to shield Persephone from harm, to ensure she would never share her mother’s fate.
But fate is cruel.
One day, Persephone vanished without a trace. The earth that once bloomed under Demeter’s care grew silent, barren. And when she learned the truth—her daughter stolen away by Hades, with the blessing of Zeus no less—despair turned to fury. She wandered the earth, calling out for help, but none would answer. So, she let the world feel her grief. The warmth of the harvest turned to ice, the fields withered, the air grew sharp with winter’s bite. It was not mere anger—it was agony. A mother’s plea made manifest in the dying land.
And for a time, the world listened. A bargain was struck. For half the year, Persephone walks in the sunlight, and for the other, she fades into the underworld, bound to a marriage not of her choosing. And so, the seasons turn—the endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth, echoing a mother's love and loss.
Demeter was never the villain of this story. She was not cruel, nor selfish—only a mother who had already suffered too much, only a woman who knew the weight of loss and swore to fight against it, even when the fight was hopeless.

Everything Demeter does is so valid.
Made a man eat himself? Well, he shouldn't had cut that tree in the first place. I would also kill a man if he dared to cut down a over 10,000+ year old tree. That thing is sacred and anyone who cuts down one of them gentle giants deserves the curses of mother nature.
Put the world thru winter? Go off queen. Go take a vacation from your duties while also sticking it up to your daughter's kidnapper (+ your two other dumbass brothers)
Make love with some random at someone's else wedding? Doing it in the middle of a field? Such a hopeless romantic. She's so poetic fr
Cooking a baby to make him inmortal? She's so good with children!! Mother of the year!!!
Creating the wheelchair? Based. An ally to folks with dissabilities
Demeter is the best and i won't take any slander of her in my house

Little HelPol Tips
Having a himalayan salt lamp as an eternal flame for Hestia
Candles and incense are good low-energy offerings
Dedicating baths/showers to Aphrodite
If you have pets, devote taking care of them to Artemis
Do what you can and what feels right!! Each person's practice is different
You are in fact allowed to make mistakes
Making a snack/beverage and offering it to a deity/deities, or inviting them to share it with you
If you're learning a language (or multiple!) dedicate it to Hermes
Make playlists for your deities
If you make art/ play any musical instruments, dedicate those activities to Apollo
Try to look for the theoi in your everyday life, even in the mundane things
If you workout, dedicate that to Ares
Similarly, if you play sports, dedicate that play to Hermes
If you have a garden or plants, dedicate taking care of them to Demeter and Persephone
Χαίρετε!

Repeat after me:
Demeter is simply a mother who loves her daughter who had her daughter ripped away from her
Demeter is simply a mother who loves her daughter who had her daughter ripped away from her
Demeter is simply a mother who loves her daughter who had her daughter ripped away from her
Demeter is simply a mother who loves her daughter who had her daughter ripped away from her
Demeter is simply a mother who loves her daughter who had her daughter ripped away from her
Her lament is the right of every loving mother as she goes against the grain of the society HER hymn was written in

Just planted a lemon tree! Been doing way more gardening recently, and I can't help but thank Lady Demeter for all of it.
Not sure if any deity is directly connected to lemons though...

This is such a weird UPG, but I associate learning about the history of life on Earth with Demeter. And old plants (like dinosaur old). I am not taking questions at this time, thank you.
