When I first joined Tumblr, I had no idea what I was walking into. There’s no manual for navigating this wild, untamed corner of the internet. My first moment here? I was greeted by an image completely naked, no warning, no explanation. It was just there, bold and unapologetic. That’s when I realized: Tumblr is a place where anything can happen.
But for all its chaos, Tumblr has become something far greater than I ever expected. For us Palestinians, this platform isn’t just a space to scroll through memes or vent about life. It’s a lifeline, a place where we’ve taken the raw, messy energy of this site and turned it into a battleground for survival. Here, we tell our stories, raise funds, and fight for our lives.
I’ve seen campaigns soar past their goals, bringing hope to families barely holding on. But I’ve also seen campaigns like mine, ones that fight tooth and nail for every single dollar, every reblog, every addition, and every ounce of hope. My family’s lives depend on this.
It hasn’t been easy. Zionists flood all Palestinian words with hate, twisting truths and spreading lies. They aim to discredit us, to make people doubt us. It’s exhausting. Some nights, I sit with my phone in my hands, wondering if this fight is too big for me. But then something beautiful happens: a donation comes through, a kind message appears, or someone I’ve never met reblogs my story with words that feel like a warm embrace.
And through it all, people are starting to see the truth. The hate doesn’t drown us; it sharpens our voices. Every day, more people step forward to stand with us, to say, “I see you, I hear you, and I’m with you.” It’s those moments that keep me going.
To everyone who has already helped, whether through verification, donating, wrting post , reblogging, or simply sharing a kind word: thank you. You’ve done more for my family than I could ever put into words. But the reality is, we’re not there yet. My family is still waiting for a chance to breathe, to live without fear, to fill their empty stomachs with warm food, and to wrap themselves in clothes thick enough to keep out the bitter cold. They’re hungry, they’re freezing, and I can’t do this alone.
This fight is hard, but it’s not hopeless. Strangers have become friends, and friends have become family. Some of you have shown up in ways I never imagined, treating my family’s survival as if it were your own. That kind of solidarity? It’s powerful.
Tumblr might be chaotic, unpredictable, and sometimes downright bizarre, but it’s also the place where we’ve built something extraordinary: a community that refuses to look away from injustice. With your help, we can take this fight all the way. My family’s lives are within reach, and together, I know we’ll get there.
This campaign isn’t just about me. It supports 26 people, including two orphaned children and an injured family member suffering from hemiplegia after being hit by shrapnel during a bombing. Surgery is desperately needed to replace the infected and failing plates. The needs are urgent, and the future of 26 lives depends on your support.
The video showing the injured family member is shared before in this post: Link.
Please help us ! Donate and reblog this post to spread our story.

✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is (#286)
🚨 Emergency: Rescue Tareq’s Family from Gaza
My Children's Last Hope: From Designer to Begging for Their Lives
I'm Tareq. More than a year and a half ago, I created beautiful designs. Today I design survival plans for my 3 children - my wife Samar, and our children: Sham (7), Masa (4), and baby Wateen (1.5), who was born under bombardment. We had a home, dreams, and routines. Sham loved kindergarten and should be in 2nd grade now. Masa should be starting her education. Instead, they're surviving day-to-day in unimaginable conditions.
The War Stole Everything
❌ Our home was completely destroyed in Nov 2023
❌ 11 forced displacements between bombed-out buildings and makeshift tents
❌ Living in a rotting tent that can’t block summer heat or winter cold
❌ No electricity since the war began (Oct 2023)
❌ Constant hunger: Our children suffer from malnutrition
❌ Bathing in contaminated water causing painful skin diseases on all children
❌ Masa (4) cries holding her empty stomach - her malnutrition makes even water painful to digest
❌ Baby Wateen has never known life without bombs
❌ Most essential necessities are unavailable - bread flour, clean water, milk, cheese, fruits and vegetables, baby diapers, and more

The Cost of Survival:
1️⃣ Cover the basic necessities needed to survive, €1200 per month.
2️⃣ We've secured a rare chance to evacuate, but need your help to cover:
✔️ Passports (€120/person) - €600 total
✔️ Egypt coordination fees (€7,000/person) - €35,000 total
✔️ Flights to Turkey (€1000/person) - €5,000 total
✔️ Initial resettlement (€1,200/person) - €6,000 total
✔️ Platform fees (3.3%) - €2,500
✔️ Cash withdrawal commission in Gaza (25%) - €18.750
✔️ Any remaining funds for temporary housing/food
🟩 €75,000 Total Needed
🟨 €50 = A chance for a child to feel human again, with warmth, safety, and hope instead of fear, hunger and rubble.
Why Your Help Matters Right Now
This isn't just about escaping war - it's about:
💔 Giving Sham and Masa their stolen education back
💔 Getting medical care for Wateen, who's only known war
💔 Treating Masa's worsening health conditions
💔 Ending our children's daily terror of airstrikes
Every night could be their last - the bombs don't check calendars
With each passing day, the risks grow worse. Your donation today can literally save five lives. If you can't give, please share this with your friends who might help.
How You Can Help:
1️⃣ Donate any amount - even €10 helps
2️⃣ Share this campaign on all social media
3️⃣ Pray for our safety if you can't give
We Promise:
✔️ Full transparency with every euro
✔️ Regular updates on our journey
✔️ Eternal gratitude for your support and humanity
✅ Note About Verification:

This is the 4th time the US has stopped a permanent ceasefire. It is the ONLY country to be against it while 14 nations are in favour. Read the sentence again. Take it in. The most powerful country in the world wanted a settler colony to continue their genocidal agenda. Continue the blockade and let the manufactured famine persists. Diseases will spread, prices will increase, and more lives will be lost.
How can they enjoy a full-on meal while many families are digging through expired food to eat? Don't they deserve a proper meal? Don't they deserve to taste the flavour and have their stomachs full?
At the same time, there are many institutions complicit and they make sure Palestinians don't have access to the financial resources to sustain themselves. PayPal is one of them. On October 7th, the crowdfunding platform has announced that they have shut down fundraising services. Those with an existing one will need to complete their goals by January 12th, 2025.
Iyad Sobhe (@iyadsgaza) and Ruba Abushahan (@rubashsblog) are raising funds with PayPal ever since GFM has either terminated their fundraiser or made them lose access. Iyad has lost 11K while Ruba can no longer withdraw the 27K They cannot afford to start all over when PayPal is their last resort. So we have less than 2 MONTHS to raise the entire amount of 60K. Please donate and share! Donations have slowed down significantly, resulting in 1 or 2 donations per day, when we should be raising $600!
You can match my friend! She has given $10 USD, but you're more than welcome to give any amount. Even $1 USD! You can also participate in an art raffle hosted by @/transformers4palestine . The 3rd round of winners will be declared on November 27th, so check it out, join in, and be part of the fun!
Verification: #90 for Ruba and #173 for Iyad in the Spreadsheet. (Keep in mind that the document has not been updated and does not reflect the current fundraiser. You can learn about it here)

Make sure to read every word. Let it sink in. Doesn't it send a shiver down your spine? It does for me. Especially with the fact that a crowdfunding platform known for helping people recover from their finances would pull something like this! And they have announced it on other than October 7th, 2024, a year into the accelerated genocide that is taking in place in Gaza.
Iyad Sobhe (@yadsgaza) and Ruba (@rubashsblog) are long time neighbours and friends who consider each other as family. They are raising funds with PayPal ever since GFM has either terminated their fundraiser or made them lose access. Iyad has lost 11K while Ruba can no longer withdraw the 27K.
They can not afford to start all over when PayPal is their last resort. This means we have less than A MONTH to raise the entire amount of 60K! So please donate and share! Donations have slowed down significantly, resulting in 1 or 2 donations per day, when we should be raising $600!
You can match my friend! She has given $10 USD and if we have at least 60 people contribute the same amount in a month, we would able to succeed! (But you're more than welcome to give any amount! Even as little as $1 since PayPal accepts such amount!)
Verification: #90 for Ruba and #173 for Iyad in the spreadsheet by Hussein (@/el-shab-hussein) and Nairuz (@/nabulsi) [Keep in mind that the document has not been updated and does not reflect the current fundraiser. You can learn about it here]

3 BAD BILLS TO KEEP IN MIND FOR 2025
KOSA : Kosa is a terrible internet bill that would make it mandatory for platforms online to enforce age verification via ID, and deeming any content “inappropriate” for kids to be banned. This could range from not safe for work content, to health ressources,LGBT ressources, to climate change. It’ll be up to politicians to dictate what is and isn’t proper for kids, and, of course, killing encryption. Here are some ressources to get ready to fight KOSA : https://taikeero-lecoredier.tumblr.com/post/738573191699660800/we-have-a-server-to-help-fight-against-this-we Scripts to use : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IyBUe6frFGF44rJQU3TahZ5zyG3tC7jai_hPneAKlnM/edit?tab=t.0 JOIN OUR SERVER AGAINST IT ! We organize call in days and other ressources. https://discord.gg/FPDJYkUujM
HR9495 would allow to stripe an organization of it's "non profits" status, and force them to pay taxes if the govt can "prove" that they are affiliated with terrorists with barely any concrete proof. This will impact non profit organizations such as ACLU, AO3, Fight For The Future, Electronic Frontier Foundation, AO3, The Internet Archive and many more that fight for human rights. Here is more infos and scripts you can use here : (THE POST IS OUTDATED DATE WISE BUT THE SCRIPTS IN THIS POST CAN STILL BE USED) : https://taikeero-lecoredier.tumblr.com/post/767859383226056704/hr9495-on-its-way-to-senate#notes Keep an eye for when ACLU makes a new call tool you can use,or contact your reps directly when the time needs it,they should look like this (The "Stop The Internet Censorship" discord server link above also help fight against it !) CHAT CONTROL If you are in Europe, I urge you to keep your eyes on this horrid EU proposal, as it will make it mandatory for private messages to be scanned by artificial intelligence, and users have to agree to be scanned or else they cant send images, videos or links anymore. More infos here : https://www.patrick-breyer.de/en/posts/chat-control/ Email English script: https://taikeero-lecoredier.tumblr.com/post/769688923967537152/chat-control-email-script-english#notes Contact your meps : https://op.europa.eu/en/web/who-is-who/organization/-/organization/COREPER/ Join our server against it, we gather ressources and scripts against it ! SignalCLI: The Kafkaesque Journey of Being Real on Social Media
I belong to the generation where, when someone asked, “Hey, I need an account on Facebook for development”, five minutes later — after a quick chuckle at the request to provide a “real name” (seriously, who in their right mind gives REAL details to some random third-party website? I barely trust my bank, let alone an online platform) — an account under John or Jane Doe was all set. We’d test APIs, update profiles, mess around with friend lists, curse outdated documentation, and wonder why nothing worked as expected.
Fast forward to 2025. Real people. Real struggles.
Facebook Struggles
“Hey Sophie (our spokesperson/marketing director, lovely, amazing, single lady in her late 20s — sorry, she’s just awesome), we need a PR release, like, NOW. We’re going live soon; let the world know.”
“Yes boss,” Sophie said cheerfully, and her journey began.
For our PR release, we needed:
Company name: Check, easy.
Company address: Reluctantly provided.
Contact details: Real emails, manageable.
Social media presence: This is where it all went sideways.
We had none. Zip. Nada. Not on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok — nowhere.
Sophie, being the vibrant, attractive lady she is, naturally has personal social media filled with delightful videos and photos — like her 5 AM salmon-fishing trip in eye-catching lingerie (birthday trips, naturally), or karaoke nights after five straight tequila shots. You get the drill. Awesome personal stuff. Stunning photos. Absolutely NOT crypto-business-appropriate. So, creating a proper business Facebook profile was the logical step.
Sophie registered using her professional email. Facebook immediately halted the process: “Human verification required.” Sophie complied, recording a video selfie. Fifteen minutes later: “Your account violates community standards.” How exactly an empty account with a genuine video selfie violates community standards still baffles me.
Undeterred, Sophie used our business phone number instead. Boom! Account created successfully. Yet, when trying to create a business page — errors everywhere. Technical issues galore. VPN trials, different browsers, modes, and repeated attempts later, Facebook temporarily shadow-banned us for “too many attempts.”
Next day, verification required again. Another video selfie. Another ban. For absolutely no reason. Genuine person, genuine video — banned.
Facebook — absolute fail.
LinkedIn Struggles
Next stop: LinkedIn. Our team member spent days meticulously crafting his profile. Day four: LinkedIn requested a passport scan for “verification.” He complied, foolishly. LinkedIn replied, “You don’t exist. Provide a passport proving your existence.” Since when did social media earn the right to demand personal documentation?
LinkedIn — epic fail.
X.com (Twitter) Struggles
Then came X.com. Initially felt like fresh air — quick account setup, seamless posting, and fast PR release. THANK YOU, X.COM!
However, still a few issues: shadow-banned because our account was new, ads repeatedly rejected despite charging our company credit card. Turns out, running crypto signals ads requires a banking license. Seriously?
Yet, compared to Facebook and LinkedIn, X.com felt like paradise. So again, thanks to X.com, we have a social presence. PR released, Case closed, much appreciated.
Conclusion
Despite challenges, we got there. Find us at x.com/signalCLI. Small catch: if you’d like to check our latest posts, please click “highlights.” There’s hope that eventually our posts will appear normally. But hey, does it fulfill the requirement of “social media presence”? Yes, CHECK! Thank you! Next challenge!
But then I began to wonder — are there workarounds for these issues? What do normal people do? Surely, we’re not alone? And guess what? There are solutions.
Extensive research revealed that fully operational Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.com accounts (and any other platform you may want) can easily be bought online. Not even on the dark web — official websites with official links. You can even use your credit card for the purchase. Stunning, right?
Prices range from just a few cents up to about a dollar fifty, with tens and hundreds of thousands available. No verification videos, no passports requested — just simple, instant transactions. Instant access.
Yet, our genuine spokesperson Sophie Caldwell, whom I have the pleasure of seeing whenever I’m in the office, officially “doesn’t exist” according to Facebook. My friend, with over two decades of experience, who spent three days meticulously setting up his account — officially “doesn’t exist.” But people sending inappropriate pictures to minors? They’re fine — and if banned, they simply buy another account and continue.
I somewhat understand that if you’re involved in platform management (IT? Management? Who knows?) at Facebook, extra cash might seem appealing. Selling accounts might even be considered a lucrative side hustle. Many people struggle, just like we did. Many want an account, just like we did. While we, as a company, cannot ethically purchase an account (reputation matters), ordinary people might. Sell 1,000 accounts at a dollar each, make $700 easily after a 30% commission. Not bad.
But my primary issue isn’t even with accounts being sold; business is business. My issue is why we must verify anything with these social media giants. Why care if John Doe is my real name? If John Doe posts inappropriate content, that’s the appropriate agency’s problem, not Facebook’s. Yes, provide tools to report unsolicited content. Yes, maintain a self-managed community with the ability to escalate issues. But requesting legal documentation that could be misused to issue credit cards in my name? Are they insane?
Then we wonder, “How were my personal details stolen, resulting in unauthorized credit card use and selling my house?” Well, maybe — just maybe — it was because you willingly handed your personal details and documents to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others. Common sense seems lost here.
Social media giants demanding passports, banking licenses, penalizing genuine efforts — it’s a bizarre reality. I wouldn’t be surprised if, in ten years, companies facing similar issues resort to buying social media accounts. Today we managed to open an account; tomorrow, who knows what social media platforms might demand?
Perhaps they have too much control. Perhaps there should be limits on collecting personal data, clearly defining their role in society. Call me crazy, but while governmental agencies knowing my identity might be tolerable (if uncomfortable), social media platforms demanding the same — is insane.
Today’s story isn’t directly about SignalCLI, crypto, or even IT. Besides, I left out the portion about why a PR hard requirement includes having social media presence. Excellent question, wouldn’t you say? Company name — makes sense. Address — a bit iffy, but maybe someone wants to send us a gift? Fine. Contact person — logical. Means of contact, like emails? Do these people realize that sharing emails isn’t far off from sharing passports? And that emails are a prime target for hackers looking to compromise a company? But social media presence? Why is this suddenly a mandatory requirement? What if, like us until recently, we simply didn’t have, need, or want an online social presence? People interested in contacting us have our contact page. Who exactly decided social media presence was mandatory? Who couldn’t imagine a company without one?
Anyway, thought you’d appreciate these stories from the trenches of a futures crypto signal company’s digital marketing division.
Stay sane out there!
More to come!

URGENT! Stop KOSA!
Hey all, this is BáiYù and Sauce here with something that isn't necessarily SnaccPop related, but it's important nonetheless. For those of you who follow US politics, The Kids Online Safety Act passed the Senate yesterday and is moving forward.
This is bad news for everyone on the internet, even outside of the USA.
What is KOSA?
While it's officially known as "The Kids Online Safety Act," KOSA is an internet censorship masquerading as another "protect the children" bill, much in the same way SESTA/FOSTA claimed that it would stop illegal sex trafficking but instead hurt sex workers and their safety. KOSA was originally introduced by Sen. Edward Markey, D-Mass. and Bill Cassidy, R-La. as a way to update the 1998 Children’s Online Privacy Act, raising the age of consent for data collection to 16 among other things. You can read the original press release of KOSA here, while you can read the full updated text of the bill on the official USA Congress website.
You can read the following articles about KOSA here:
EFF: The Kids Online Safety Act is Still A Huge Danger to Our Rights Online
CyberScoop: Children’s online safety bills clear Senate hurdle despite strong civil liberties pushback
TeenVogue: The Kids Online Safety Act Would Harm LGBTQ+ Youth, Restrict Access to Information and Community
The quick TL;DR:
KOSA authorizes an individual state attorneys general to decide what might harm minors
Websites will likely preemptively remove and ban content to avoid upsetting state attorneys generals (this will likely be topics such as abortion, queerness, feminism, sexual content, and others)
In order for a platform to know which users are minors, they'll require a more invasive age and personal data verification method
Parents will be granted more surveillance tools to see what their children are doing on the web
KOSA is supported by Christofascists and those seeking to harm the LGBTQ+ community
If a website holding personally identifying information and government documents is hacked, that's a major cybersecurity breach waiting to happen
What Does This Mean?
You don't have to look far to see or hear about the violence being done to the neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities worldwide, who are oftentimes one and the same. Social media sites censoring discussion of these topics would stand to do even further harm to folks who lack access to local resources to understand themselves and the hardships they face; in addition, the fact that websites would likely store personally identifying information and government documents means the death of any notion of privacy.
Sex workers and those living in certain countries already are at risk of losing their ways of life, living in a reality where their online activities are closely surveilled; if KOSA officially becomes law, this will become a reality for many more people and endanger those at the fringes of society even worse than it already is.
Why This Matters Outside of The USA
I previously mentioned SESTA/FOSTA, which passed and became US law in 2018. This bill enabled many of the anti-adult content attitudes that many popular websites are taking these days as well as the tightening of restrictions laid down by payment processors. Companies and sites hosted in the USA have to follow US laws even if they're accessible worldwide, meaning that folks overseas suffer as well.
What Can You Do?

Rachel Leingang at The Guardian:
The Republican president is taking aim at a Democratic fundraising platform, issuing a presidential memorandum to crack down on supposed foreign contributions to elections, an unsubstantiated claim from the right.. Donald Trump announced the memo on Thursday, directing the attorney general to investigate, and report to the president, “concerning allegations regarding the use of online fundraising platforms to make ‘straw’ or ‘dummy’ contributions and to make foreign contributions to US political candidates and committees, all of which break the law”. ActBlue, the largest online donation platform on the left, has anticipated the presidential action. Its CEO and president, Regina Wallace-Jones, sent an email this week saying the organization expected an executive order targeting it, and that the threat of these investigations had “caused many in the ecosystem anxiety and distress”. “If we look past rumors and innuendo, here is what we know to be true: Nothing will deter or interrupt ActBlue’s mission and work to enable millions of Americans to participate in our democracy,” she wrote. “There is an ongoing and persistent effort to weaken the confidence of the American people in what’s possible. This is the next version of ‘the big lie.’”
ActBlue is the main platform used to collect donations for Democratic candidates and causes. The move is among several actions the Trump administration has taken to “cripple the left”, the New York Times has reported, part of a “series of highly partisan official actions that, if successful, will threaten to hobble Democrats’ ability to compete in elections for years to come”. The memo comes amid ongoing unsubstantiated claims on the right about the fundraising platform. Elon Musk has tweeted about ActBlue multiple times since Trump took office. “Something stinks about ActBlue,” he said in one post. Republican lawmakers have called on the treasury department to investigate ActBlue. Representative Darrell Issa wrote to the treasury secretary, Scott Bessent, in March, saying the department should investigate whether ActBlue facilitated donations from “terror-linked organizations and non-profits”, based on reporting in rightwing media that the platform had cut ties with a Palestinian organization that advocates for divestment in Israel.
Congressman Bryan Steil, the chair of the committee on House administration, requested documents from ActBlue in October “related to the platform’s donor verification policies and potential vulnerabilities that foreign actors may exploit to illegally participate in the US political process”. Those documents showed that the platform had updated its policies to automatically reject certain donations from gift cards and other avenues, Steil said. The organization has seen internal strife, the New York Times reported, leading to departures of senior officials. Republicans demanded more documents from ActBlue based on the departures, the paper reported. The attack on the fundraising platform comes as Democrats prepare efforts to win back majorities in Washington in the midterms. On Thursday, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced a plan to revitalize state Democratic parties by sending monthly donations from the national party to the states, with more funding going to red states.
Tyrant Trump’s election-rigging memorandum that targets ActBlue is an authoritarian attack on fair elections that could make Democratic chances at winning elections more difficult. The memorandum is supposedly about “foreign contributions” but is in reality about legitimizing far-right conspiracy theories about ActBlue.

For the people who still think the colony of Israel has a right to defend itself:
They're not defending anything, they're just having fun killing:
Update 1 (17/10/2023) for the confused and sceptics :
Update 2 (10/22/2023): To add some context to this post following Reuters (direct link to article) attempt to verify the reality of the IDF Facebook post.
In fact, Reuters failed to verify anything: as the agency admitted in its article, its journalist "could not find the impostor's Facebook account or the publication on the platform social network".
They then contacted "a spokesperson for the IDF", who told them that " the Facebook post was not shared by one of its official accounts. He added there was only one official IDF Facebook page in Arabic that carries a verification tick "
A Reuters reporter also contacted"a representative for Meta, Facebook’s parent company, told Reuters the page was removed".
In this total absence of material evidence, and relying solely on the statements of these two sources which are the least reliable when it comes to commenting and sharing information and facts about the war against the Palestinians (the Israeli army is party to the conflict therefore It is biased and will protect its agents and soldiers- and Facebook has a history of censoring Palestinian content that could be used to document violence and help legally qualify zionist crimes).
Reuters came to this hasty conclusion:
Their main arguments are that
The Israeli occupation army never admitted to bombing the hospital and blamed Islamic Jihad, so it had no reason to celebrate.
Reuters journalists conveniently ignore the timeline. The IDF message welcoming the bombing of the Baptist hospital in Gaza was published immediately after the attack, while the controversy over the perpetrators of the attack began a few hours after its deletion.
Until the controversy, no one wondered who was behind the attack. The zionist army has always publicly assumed its crimes: it even ordered (according to the clerics who were in charge of the administration of the hospital) on several occasions the hospital to evacuate, knowing perfectly well that it was impossible. It was only when outrage became widespread that western media, including Reuters, began to question the origins of the strike. There's a post on Tumblr that pulls together the subtle changes in headlines to make it seem like Israel never took credit for the attack (even though it destroyed different 2 floors of the hospital a few days before the biggest attack).
There are other videos on Mohammed El Kurd's Twitter account showing the zionist army celebrating its strikes. There are videos on social media of zionist soldiers humiliating prisoners in their custody, so gloating on social media is not a new practice for them.
There is no reason why they should not celebrate what they consider a victory: their ministers have already publicly and clearly stated that civilians who do not leave northern Gaza, whatever their reasons, will be assimilated to Hamas fighters. So everything is consistent; in their minds, hitting innocent and defenseless civilians is legitimate and they are happy about it.
On its Twitter account, the Israeli military removed a video that purported to prove that Islamic Jihad carried out the attack, but ultimately did not prove its claims. So they also have a habit of deleting their own content when they realize that it exposes them more than it helps them.
Other journalists (Al Jazeera uses its own images: it is the only media that remained in Gaza and they filmed all the attacks, information from Channel 4) and independent experts on weapons of war and geolocation worked on the question of identifying the perpetrators of the bombing of the hospital. So far, their preliminary conclusion is that the Israeli military's claims do not match the facts and material evidence on the ground.
Full details of this debate are on the X/Twitter accounts of Lowkey and Mohammed El-Kurd (look for posts made on October 17).
2. I don't really know how Facebook/Meta works: I never had an account on it (I mean I never used it properly: I opened an account years ago, exclusively to follow the activity of a group that I was part of in life but closed it after a few weeks without interacting beyond a few likes), but on Twitter you can hide the checkmark.
Even if the checkmark cannot be hidden, there is nothing in the Reuters "report" to indicate that the Zionist army does not maintain multiple accounts - some with checkmarks and some without - and does not delete accounts that are not officials when it does not suit their interests.
They have a history of spreading fake news: from rumors about 40 beheaded babies, to accusing Palestinians of bombing themselves, to creating fake documents to accuse Hamas of planning attacks on primary schools while manipulating parents by buying YT ads shown during videos aimed at children to improve their image damaged by their violence with families, and to justify the harm they do to the children of Gaza.
I'm only making this long argument because Lowkey and Mohammed El-Kurd deleted the tweets I reposted and I think they shouldn't have done so. I understand why: it actually seems like an insignificant speck in an ocean of real crimes, but I personally consider it symbolic and indicative of the true and greater zionist project: genocide.
Genocide in international law is based on proof of intent to destroy a group, and the zionist army's mocking Facebook post establishes beyond doubt that nothing is accidental on the zionist side, everything is premeditated and based on their superiority complex over the Palestinian people.

Beginning today, millions of adults trying to access pornography in the United Kingdom will be required to prove that they are over the age of 18. Under sweeping new online child safety laws coming into force, self-reporting checkboxes that allow anyone to claim adulthood on porn websites will be replaced by age-estimating face scans, ID document uploads, credit card checks, and more. Some of the biggest porn websites—including Pornhub and YouPorn—have said that they will comply with the new rules. And social media sites like BlueSky, Reddit, Discord, Grindr, and X are introducing UK age checks to block children from seeing harmful content.
Ultimately, though, it's not just Brits who will see such changes. Around the world, a new wave of child protection laws are forcing a profound shift that could normalize rigorous age checks broadly across the web. Some of the measures are designed to specifically block minors from accessing adult material, while others are meant to stop children from using social media platforms or accessing harmful content. In the UK, age checks are now required by websites and apps that host porn, self-harm, suicide, and eating disorder content.
Protecting children online is a consequential and urgent issue, but privacy and human rights advocates have long warned that, while they may be well-intentioned, age checks introduce a range of speech and surveillance issues that could ultimately snowball online.
“Age verification impedes people’s ability to anonymously access information online,” says Riana Pfefferkorn, a policy researcher at Stanford University. “That includes information that adults have every right to access but might not want anyone else knowing they’re consuming—such as pornography—as well as information that kids want to access but that for political reasons gets deemed inappropriate for them, such as accurate information about sex, reproductive health information, and LGBTQ content.”
Efforts that have been mounting over the past decade to introduce strong age checks online have recently gained traction. Last month, the United States Supreme Court paved the way for states to require porn websites to check that visitors are at least 18 using age-verification technologies. Pornhub, for example, has already blocked access to visitors in at least 20 states as laws have been passed. Meanwhile, courts in France ruled last week that porn sites can check users' ages. Ireland implemented age checking laws for video websites this week. The European Commission is testing an age-verification app. And in December, Australia’s strict social media ban for children under 16 will take effect, introducing checks for social media and people logged in to search engines.
“If people choose not to log on [to search engines] to avoid age assurance checks, this could have a wide-reaching impact on the streamlined, integrated ways people search for online information,” says Lisa Given, a professor of information sciences at RMIT University in Australia who has been closely following the country’s age-checking policies. “It will also affect the level of privacy people have come to expect from being able to search freely online, which may change how and where they search for information.”
Coming of Age
Though the recent wave of court decisions and legislation around age verification is new, multiple online platforms and services have required some form of age checking for years. The British age-verification company Yoti, which works on multiple digital identity technologies including face scanning to estimate ages, says it has done more than 850 million age checks and completes more than 1 million per day. “Brands around the world in different sectors are using this technology, including social media, gaming, adult, dating, retail, and vaping,” a Yoti spokesperson told WIRED in an email.
Age-verification mechanisms come in multiple forms. The UK’s Online Safety Act, which is being overseen by communications regulator Ofcom, lists seven “highly effective” approaches that websites can use. Typically websites will employ third-party companies from the growing age-assurance industry rather than checking ages directly themselves.
Standard age verification is done by uploading a form of government identification and a selfie, using a digital identity service, or submitting credit records or other financial documentation. There are also age estimation services. For example, “email-based” age estimation, according to the UK’s Ofcom, will analyze data on where your email address has been used and for how long as part of a calculation of how old you are. Age estimation services that try to predict someone’s age from a selfie or a video are also increasingly common. Their performance varies, though, depending on how accurate the underlying algorithms are. Many systems offer accuracy of “plus or minus 18 months.” Some physical stores in France that sell tobacco already use facial estimation systems as well.
There are potential privacy and security risks that come with all the approaches, though, such as excessive data gathering, government surveillance, and the threat of data breaches. And opponents of age verification argue that the technologies are not reliable and can be circumvented. Last year, for example, an Israeli ID-verification company exposed driver's licenses and other sensitive data because of a technical oversight. A study commissioned by Green politicians in Europe last year concluded that, while there were some “promising” privacy-preserving methods for age checks, there is ultimately “misalignment between the urgency with which governments are pushing for age assurance and the time needed to develop robust, safe, and trustworthy age assurance technology.” Preliminary results released in June from a study in Australia found multiple problems with age-checking systems.
“The question isn't whether there will be a data breach connected to age verification, it's when,” says Alison Boden, executive director of Free Speech Coalition, a US-based adult entertainment industry trade association. “So, people circumvent the laws. In the best case, they use VPNs to protect their identities. And in the worst case, they turn to websites that flout the law, and then risk being exposed to illegal content like child sexual abuse material and nonconsensual intimate imagery. And this is all in service of policies that have clearly been shown to be ineffective.”
In general, many porn sites and other adult content platforms say that they are in favor of age checks but don’t agree with current approaches.
Proponents of age verification say that it is possible to minimize data collection. Third-party providers can limit the personal information that is shared with individual sites conducting age verification. And, particularly, these third parties can use what are known as authentication tokens, so people can confirm their age once and then produce this credential across multiple sites and providers as verification.
“Our members do over a billion anonymized age checks a year, so our best argument is our track record—and we know that will just continue to improve because of the strict application of data minimization principles,” says Iain Corby, the executive director of the industry group Age Verification Providers Association. “There is no need to retain any personal data after an age check is completed, and if you don’t keep data, it can’t be lost or stolen.”
Aging Out
The practical realities of widespread age verification are messy, though. For one thing, sites and services may not comply with regulations. Ofcom, the UK regulator, says that it may issue fines to websites that do not put age checks in place. It already has 11 investigations open. Additionally, not all people have the proper ID or other documents to prove their age when signing up for sites.
“No solution to this is perfect,” says Rachel Coldicutt, the executive director of Careful Industries and a former Ofcom nonexecutive director. “Age verification assumes that all services and platforms that host harmful content are good and lawful actors and that devices don’t get shared. In lots of families, someone aged under 16 or 18 would easily be able to log in to a device that belongs to one of their parents, so unless age verification is required on every login to a site or app it would be quite easy to get access to age-restricted content by using an adult’s device.”
In general, too, many experts note that age verification is broadly unpopular. People feel uncomfortable scanning their face or handing over personal details to view content or participate in online discourse, especially when they are trying to use a service or view content that is intimate or otherwise personal in nature. As a result, age verification can have a chilling effect on speech and the free flow of information online.
And since people can use circumvention tools like VPNs to skirt national laws, there are limits to how effective these policies can be in isolation, which has the potential to tip off a sort of validation and surveillance arms race. There is often a spike in VPN interest when a country introduces new age-check laws.
“A critical point is that while these measures are intended to keep children safe from harmful content, my concern is that these measures will give parents and other members of the public a false sense of security,” says Given, the Australian academic. She adds that there should be greater government investment in education for young people, parents, and teachers about potential online harms, plus more support for people who use social media to access critical information.
As Stanford’s Pfefferkorn puts it, “Ultimately, age verification tech actually poses a risk to the kids it is supposed to protect. It chills their ability to access information, and it can put them at risk of privacy violations, identity theft, and other security issues.”

Three House committees have launched probes against the Democrat fundraising platform ActBlue over its questionable donor verification practices.
The investigations found that ActBlue changed its rules on verifying donors to make them “more lenient,” Just the News reported.
The move allowed the platform to accept more foreign payments by allowing fraudulent donations to slip through the net.
Last year, Congress began investigating Act Blue over allegations about its rules.
The rules, which were changed at least twice, allowed foreign donors and other unverified contributions.
The committees released their report with the findings on Wednesday.
The report states that the platform showed “a lack of commitment to stopping fraud and paint a picture of complacency on ActBlue’s fraud-prevention team,” including fraud prevention vendor Sift.
“Put simply, the documents reflect a fundamentally unserious approach to fraud prevention at ActBlue—one that has left the door open for large-scale fraud campaigns on Democrats’ top fundraising platform.”
During President Joe Biden’s 2024 campaign, which later turned into failed Democrat candidate Kamala Harris’s bid, Act Blue directed staff to “look for reasons to accept contributions.”

President Donald Trump has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate ActBlue, the Democratic Party's primary online fundraising platform, for allegations of illegal foreign contributions and 'straw' donations. The investigation follows reports from Republican-led congressional inquiries that identified 22 significant fraud campaigns linked to ActBlue, nearly half with a foreign nexus. During a 30-day period in the 2024 election cycle, ActBlue detected 237 donations from foreign IP addresses using prepaid cards.
Trump's directive has sparked criticism from Democrats and democracy scholars, who argue that the move is politically motivated and represents an attempt to undermine Democratic fundraising capabilities ahead of the 2026 midterms. ActBlue has responded by asserting its compliance with federal campaign finance laws and plans to challenge the executive order in court. ActBlue implemented new security measures in early 2024, including CVV verification requirements and banning certain prepaid cards, but these were criticized as inadequate by Republican investigators.
In addition to targeting ActBlue, Trump has also criticized the use of an autopen by former President Joe Biden to sign official documents, including pardons. Trump has questioned the legitimacy of these actions, particularly focusing on a pardon issued to Senator Adam Schiff while Biden was vacationing in St. Croix. Trump suggested that those who operated the autopen, including potentially Neera Tanden, should be jailed, as six criminals were pardoned using this method

HELP STOP KOSA,CALL YOUR HOUSE REPS
With the end of the year approaching, we are expecting KOSA to be slipped into an end of the year spending bill. We cannot allow it to pass. There has been push by parents to bring KOSA back, not aware how dangerous KOSA actually is for children online. It would make it mandatory for platforms online to enforce age verification via ID, and deeming any content "inappropriate" for kids to be banned. This could range from not safe for work content, to health ressources, to climate change. It'll be up to politicians to dictate what is and isn't proper for kids, and, of course, killing encryption. Imagine the damage. Please focus on the entire leadership of the House,as well as reps generally, telling them to not bring KOSA up. Speaker Johnson must also be contacted, whos number is: (202) 225-2777 Heres a list of House reps to contact: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IyBUe6frFGF44rJQU3TahZ5zyG3tC7jai_hPneAKlnM/edit?tab=t.0 Use the call tool to call the House : https://www.stopkosa.com/ https://www.badinternetbills.com/#kosa
Here are scripts you can use : if your rep is GOP : I am urging you to VOTE NO on KOSA, the Kid’s Online Safety Act. This is a dangerous bill that will harm children. Many news organizations have reported that this bill actively harms kids by exposing their private data to strangers under the guise of protecting them. We need to hold Big Tech accountable, but KOSA is not the solution. The bill let any state attorney general and the FTC to sue any website for “harmful” content. Do we really want blue state lawyers deciding what can and can’t be allowed online? Big Tech is already censoring us. That’s why they support KOSA. This is massive government overreach. We need a bill that actually protects children by creating better security measures instead of bringing about more censorship. Multiple experts agree this bill pushes age verification, even with the new language. KOSA hands more private data of children to third party companies, which would put them in further danger. How is this protecting children’s privacy? What parent would want their child’s private data in the hands of strangers like this? KOSA is actively putting kids in danger. Do NOT support this bill. Thank you. if your rep is DEM: I am urging you to VOTE NO on KOSA. Nearly 200 human rights and LGBT organizations total came out in an open letter opposing it. The ACLU is against it. Hundreds of thousands of Gen Z, who actually live online, are against it. We know the harms of social media, and we know this is not the solution. The new language does NOT meet any concerns brought up, in fact many organizations were ignored. Major news have reported that this bill actively harms kids. We do not want this. The rewritten bill would still allow any state attorney general, and now the FTC, to sue any website for “harmful” content. When you have Republicans calling anything LGBT “sexual exploitation” or anything about race “CRT” to successfully ban books and teachers, then they will use any justification to censor the internet. The Missouri attorney general used “mental health” successfully to ban gender-affirming care with backed up research. Suicide rates will skyrocket for marginalized youth with this bill restricting content. Multiple experts agree this bill pushes age verification, even with the new language. KOSA hands more private data of children to third party companies. Furthermore, updated language threatens encryption the same way the Earn It Act does. How is this protecting children’s privacy? KOSA actively harms kids. Do NOT support this bill. Thank you.
Tell them you'll vote for your reps if they vote no on KOSA,anything goes. But most importantly it's crucial that KOSA is not being brought at all for any vote. Also,to note, Biden supports KOSA: You could try asking your GOP rep why they would support a bill that has Biden's support, and that he could use it to his advantage somehow (we know GOP does not like Biden,so it should be utilized somehow). We need to ensure the bill doesnt pass at all.

TikTok complies with Brazilian data authority ruling on minors
Users must now have an account to view content on the platform

The short-video platform TikTok, owned by China’s ByteDance, has complied with an order from Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) requiring it to block access for unregistered users in the country. As a result, individuals must now create an account to browse the platform’s content feed.
The measure was part of the requirements outlined by the Brazilian regulator in decision order No. 2/2024/CGF (SEI No. 0153913), aimed at preventing the collection and processing of data from children and teenagers when using the platform without an account.
TikTok also submitted its compliance plan within the deadline set by the ANPD. The agency stated in a note that it had conducted a preliminary assessment of the document and requested additional details.
Among the key issues TikTok must address is the implementation of support and representation mechanisms to ensure that teenagers are properly assisted or represented by their parents or legal guardians during the registration process. The ANPD is also requiring the company to establish a methodology, with periodic reports, to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of these mechanisms and verification protocols.
