In this video we are going to show you how to add a Youtube video in Wordpress post or page. First I have made a demo post in the back of my Wordpress site and saved it as a draft, and what we are going to use is a plugin called Thrive Content Builder which makes this really easy. If we click on the edit with thrive content button and a page opens up in a new tab. We can now see the post on our blog, and can use the drag and drop editor. If we look on the right hand and scroll down to find responsive video. We can now drag this on to the page, and it now says add video. So we now need to go to Youtube to find a video to add to the blog post. So we need to go and grab the video URL by using this plugin we don't need to use the video embed code. Lets go to Brendon Burchards video who is someone I follow. At the top you can copy the URL which is the one that reads youtube.com/watch/?..... where we can paste it into the URL spot then click enter and as you can see the video comes up. You can also see where it is on the post which is fantastic. If you wanted to put some margins in your can do that too. We can also hide related videos which is ideal for your blog posts as you don't want other people going onto different videos especially if this is one of your videos. We can auto hide the logo, auto hide any player controls as well and the title bar. We can auto play it if we wanted to, and we can hide the full screen button. we can also add in a certain time where we want the video to start. A couple more options, we have a style here we ca add a dark frame round it, or have it lifted with a little shadow. we can even add a black monitor so it looks like an Apple computer. This feature can make it very professional. The last thing we are going to show you on this how to add a Youtube video in Wordpress tutorial is how to add a video thumbnail. Obviously you can do this in the Youtube channel which is fine if its your Youtube video. What about if you embedding someone elses video like Brendons video I have no control what I put on his video. But, yes I do, because I can add my own video thumbnail over the video on my blog. Just click on add thumbnail and upload an image, insert it into the post, and it overlays it. So you can make it very personal. Now we can save changes and then preview our work.
