Robust features like advanced automation, real-time expense tracking , digital reports and more enable eliminating inefficiencies, minimizing financial leakages and supporting managers in making informed decisions at the right time.
Often, the field sales team faces challenges with submitting expense receipts or reports and maintaining accurate records timely. Implementing an expense management app can reduce these issues by offering a user-friendly interface for streamlining approval workflows and accelerating reporting. This approach saves time and promotes transparency by providing managers with precise insights into overall spending patterns and simplifies maintaining budget control.

Businesses can continuously track expenses against budget in real-time, recognize cost-saving opportunities and make sure to maximize sales success within limited resources and budget constraints with an ease!
What is an Expense Management System?
An expense management system focuses on automating field operation’s expense tracking, processing, approval workflows, reporting and reimbursement procedures. It eliminates manual efforts and makes it efficient and straightforward with a data-driven approach. This helps managers to track sales activities and expenses against pre-defined parameters and budget to ensure smooth operations.
In addition, expense reporting software enables organizations to comply with financial policies for every expense report. With this approach, you can identify bottlenecks in field operations, areas where a team is overspending funds, cost-saving opportunities and adhere to predefined budget hassle-free,
Key Aspects of Expense Management Solution:
Creating a streamlined organization expense policy
Simplifying digital receipt submission for field team
Monitoring expenses & spending patterns in real-time
Controlling operational costs & ensuring policy adherence
Approving expense claims & timely reimbursement process
Customizing reports to identify cost-effective opportunities
8 Reasons to Implement an Expense Management System in 2025
Managing organization’s expenses is vital for maintaining financial health and operational efficiency as businesses continue to prioritize digital transformation with automation and a data analytics approach. Incorporating a central expense management system can simplify the process of tracking expenses, approving receipts and analyze overall spending patterns to make informed decisions. Moreover, with this system, you can gain stronger control over finances and reduce manual effort simultaneously.
With access to advanced features such as expense monitoring, policy establishment, data analytics and more - an expense management solution empowers organizations to save time, minimize errors and improve compliance with policies. Whether you are a startup or an established enterprise, adopting an expense management tool can improve financial oversight and overall decision-making. Let us delve in deeper to explore 8 reasons why an expense management tool is a strategic move for your business in 2025. https://www.youtube.com/embed/vMXO8J5jvyM
1. Simplifies Monitoring Expenses in Real-Time
Managing field operational expenses manually can complicate the process and is prone to errors, especially when managing multiple receipts simultaneously. A single mistake can disrupt the entire field process; hence integrating an expense management system can streamline overall procedure and accelerate processing reimbursement hassle-free.
For instance, if a field employee is on a journey customer visit and wants to send a bill for fuel usage, then they can easily snap a picture of the bill or simply input details and upload on the system under specific categories to avoid confusion. This detail will automatically enter the report, eliminating manual entry and errors and sending details to managers to manage the reimbursement process.
Moreover, utilzing expense reporting software can simplify managing diverse expenses of your organization, achieve sales targets within budget and maintain financial transparency across different departments.
2. Reduces Administrative Efforts
When you consider managing expenses manually, then it can get tedious and monotonous for your administrative team. This can result in enhanced errors and create inefficiencies in expense management. However, you can automate repetitive tasks, minimize administrative burden, and save time and resources with comprehensive visibility.
For instance, an expense management app allows field employees to quickly capture and submit digital receipts and other documents, which can be saved easily into a centralized system. These receipts are easily accessible for managers and the financial department through an interactive dashboard which helps in identifying potential threats and accelerating the reimbursement process.
3. Enhances Cost Control Over Field Operations
Whether you offer products or services, managing operational costs is essential for every business. Monitoring field sales expenses can help you identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce unnecessary costs and more with custom reports. An expense reporting software provides in-depth evaluation and insights into the spending patterns of each individual.
Furthermore, this software offers comprehensive insights regarding overall cost based on specific categories to ensure driving sales success with limited resources, budget and time by implementing cost-saving strategies and cutting down irrelevant costs significantly.
For instance, if you notice increasing spending on fuel usage or vehicle maintenance, then you can focus on optimizing sales routes through GPS-enabled technology, scheduling routes beforehand and enforcing safety-based practices for field employees.
4. Enhances Budget Policy Compliance
It can get complex for businesses to make sure employees meet with financial policies, which ultimately results in continuous overspending and financial discrepancies. However, establishing comprehensive policies and streamlined regulations can leave room for discrepancies and help businesses to address challenges linked with an unaligned expense management approach.
For instance, if you have set a specific per-day budget for employees, then they must adhere to policy and make sure daily expenses do not exceed. However, if an employee tries to claim heightened expenses, then the expense management solution sends an alert to managers to identify potential fraud.
5. Provides Real-Time Insights
By having accessibility to real-time expense tracking, businesses can monitor expenses and stay updated with spending patterns with accurate insights. This approach is beneficial for large entities as they find it difficult to monitor employees, daily costs and overall field sales activities seamlessly.
For instance, if your field sales team have a predefined budget for client visits or lead management operations, then utilizing an expens e management solution will allow managers and finance teams to allocate the budget accordingly in the next sales cycle and track expenses in real-time to maintain adequate financial health.
6. Boosts Employee Satisfaction Levels
Managing essential expense-based documents like submitting receipts, filling spreadsheets and other aspects can get complicated for field sales employees during travelling as they may end up losing crucial physical documents or forget inputting essential details. This is the reason why it is crucial to integrate an expense management tool, as it maintains records of overall expenses and simplifies the reimbursement process, which enhances employee experience on the field.
For instance, by implementing an expense management app, field employees can capture and submit digital receipts through their mobile devices on the go. This application further assists in categorizing expenses automatically, which reduces administrative or manual efforts for the field sales employees.
Moreover, this approach fastens the reimbursement process with a streamlined process. When employees submit digital receipts, it automatically notifies managers and the finance team to ensure accuracy and accountability and proceed with reimbursement promptly to avoid delay causing employee frustration.
7. Automates the Expense Management Process
One of the primary goals of an expense reporting software is to minimize time-consuming processes and costly expense reporting tasks.
Additionally, automated tasks can be streamlined with minimal assistance through a centralized system. This means you can generate customized reports, automate policies for your operations (defining non-compliant factors), and automate data entry from digital receipt entries. Additionally, these reduce the possibility of human errors and allow field sales employees to focus on strategic tasks, close better deals and satisfy customers efficiently.
Moreover, this system's data analytics feature helps businesses identify and manage overall spending effectively. This includes central dashboards and a user-friendly interface that simplifies the journey for field employees to submit expense claims, track expenses in real-time, and provide instant visibility into the pending patterns of your organization. This approach ultimately improves accuracy in expense reporting and removes administrative strain.
8. Advanced Reporting and Analytics Capabilities
Advanced features like data-driven reporting and analytics can help managers to turn raw or unprocessed data into actionable insights to make informed decisions at the right time.
Additionally, an expense management tool offers custom reporting features to enable organizations to track and assess varied aspects of operational costs. This approach includes generating custom reports to break down each cost by specific categories such as employee, department, sales activity type, resource type, routes, and more to identify patterns in spending on a regular basis.
Moreover, having access to in-depth insights can help businesses to spot potential threats and outliers in spending patterns, and discover areas for improvements, cost-saving opportunities, the need for valuable investments and more under one platform.
Conclusion
Implementing an expense management system in 2025 has become essential to foster business growth. Advanced features such as automated workflows, advanced reporting and real-time expense monitoring reduce manual errors and maintain transparency across field operations.
Using an expense management tool, you can gain a competitive edge with a data-driven approach. From optimizing processes to enhancing employee satisfaction, this tool can help you drive sustained success and boost operational efficiency seamlessly. Schedule a demo call with our experts to explore features of our expense management software today!

Tell us about the wellness to fash pipeline tho
Here's a recent piece from the guardian on wellness communities and Qanon, so don't take my word for it.
"Wellness" is not just alternative medicine, it is essentially a theory of the body which posits if something makes you feel better, you are better in some meaningful way. I would argue it one of the most commonly held nonreligious magical beliefs in the modern world.
Wellness as a concept has its genesis in the 1950s with "workplace wellness" programs, a sort of budget alternative to offering employee healthcare benefits. This was an era soaked in itinerant business preachers offering classes on things like "hypnosis at a management level" and "yoga to improve leadership abilities". I am exaggerating for effect, but not by much.
The capitalist medical system regularly abandons people. We've all heard stories of profit driven pharmaceudical companies holding the ill hostage for extreme markup on life-saving medicines. People have real, legitimate, reasons to mistrust medical professionals.
Let's say you have chronic pain, and everything your doctor offers you is either ineffective, expensive, or addictive. You are desperate for literally any release, so you start looking into other solutions. You will find an OCEAN of snake-oil salesmen willing to sell you "the secrets doctors don't want you to know."
What is frustrating, is that pain is actually partially psychological. Some wellness techniques may have an actual, medical, benefit on some patients. The worst thing a conspiracy theorist can have is a point. So now you actually do kinda feel better, and you have a sense of loyalty to the grifter selling you 300$ Sumerian Cock Oil Pills. These people are the core of the wellness industry. They are the examples that everyone else points to and says "Well it worked for them!"
Reactionary thought blooms in environments like this. If the medical industry can't be trusted, what else can't be trusted? At any given time, you are two clicks away from "vaccines cause autism." Three clicks away from "Cavemen were 15 feet tall because they only ate meat." And four clicks away from "The medical industry is controlled by The Jews to drain our wallets and keep us sick." Echoes of Nazi attitudes towards German-Jewish doctors are a common backbeat.
Wellness itself is relatively harmless, (compared to the things it is adjacent to) but it acts as a sort of idealogical airport that exposes the curious to a deluge of potentially radicalizing communities. The longer you spend in communities like this, the higher the chance you'll come across something that meshes perfectly with your own biases.
If y'all wanna learn more about wellness and pseudomedicine grifters, I highly recommend the podcast Maintenance Phase.

The office is nearly empty at this hour. Only a handful of agents work the late-night shift, and most of them are stationed in separate rooms. Fewer employees mean fewer distractions, and fewer distractions mean higher pay. It’s the trade-off for working at 2 AM, for willingly isolating yourself in a job where disappearances are just another workplace hazard. But the money is good—too good to pass up. And so, you endure.
“And that’s why you’re the only one for me, darling! You get it, right?”
You force a bright laugh, leaning back in your chair as you twirl a pen between your fingers. “Of course, of course. You’re very… devoted.”
The caller on the other end giggles, their voice laced with exaggerated glee. “Right? Ugh, I wish I could just scoop you up and keep you forever!”
Fake.
Like so many others, their words lack the weight of true obsession. You’ve handled enough calls to tell the difference. The ones who call the Yandere Hotline for fun—playing pretend, enjoying the fantasy—are harmless. It’s the real ones you should fear. But, strangely, you never seem to get those.
“Unfortunately, our time is up,” you say, glancing at the timer on your screen. “Thank you for calling.”
“Aww, already? Well, I’ll call again soon, my love! Mwah!”
The line goes dead. You exhale, rolling your shoulders as the weight of another empty interaction slips off of you. The pay is good, but the work is draining. Playing the role of someone’s darling for hours on end wears at you in ways you don’t want to acknowledge. It’s why you’ve been looking for a way out.
You minimize the call interface and pull up the job listings you were browsing earlier. Nothing great. Mostly low-paying positions that won’t cover your expenses. Still, anything is better than this place. The way management ignores the disappearances. The way you feel eyes on you even when you’re alone. The way—
Your headset beeps. A new call. No caller ID.
Your stomach tightens.
You hesitate for just a second before answering. “Hello, and thank you for calling the Yandere Hotline. Who am I speaking with today?”
Silence.
Then, a soft sigh crackles through the line. “You’re still here.”
The voice sends an odd shiver through you. Familiar. Low, smooth, and intimate in a way that makes your skin prickle. You shift in your chair, eyes flickering toward the CCTV camera in the corner. The red light glows steadily, watching.
“I thought you’d be gone by now,” the caller continues, voice lined with something almost… relieved. “I saw what you were searching for.”
Your breath stills. The job listings. The open tabs on your screen.
He knows.
“I—I don’t know what you mean.”
A soft chuckle, almost sad. “Don’t do that. Don’t lie to me.”
Your fingers tremble over the keyboard. There’s no flagging system, no way to report calls. The company doesn’t care what happens to you, as long as you keep answering. The only way out is to leave, but even that feels impossible now.
“I get it, you know,” the caller—no, Elias—continues. His voice is so gentle, so coaxing, like he’s trying to soothe a frightened animal. “You need money. You need stability. I understand. That’s why I’ve been helping.”
You swallow hard. “Helping?”
“I’ve been keeping you safe,” Elias murmurs. “Blocking the real ones. Letting the fakes through. They can pretend all they want, but they’re harmless. I made sure of that. I made sure you only had to deal with the easy ones.”
Your heart pounds. The rerouted calls. The strange drop-offs. The fact that you never—never—get the ones who are truly dangerous. It all makes sense now.
“How?” you whisper.
“I have access to the system,” Elias admits. “I wasn’t going to interfere at first. I was going to take down this whole disgusting place. But then… I heard you.”
His breathing stutters, as if just remembering that moment is too much. “I found you.”
Your mouth goes dry. He’s been there all along. Watching from the other side of the line. Pulling strings. Keeping you in a controlled bubble, away from those who would actually take you.
And now, you’re trying to leave it.
“I tried to be good,” he says, voice shaking. “I thought I could just listen. Protect you from afar. But you’re slipping away from me.”
A pause. A raw, desperate inhale.
“Please don’t leave.”
His voice is barely above a whisper now, reverent, pleading. “You don’t understand what it’s like for me. Knowing you’re there, but not being able to reach you. Not being able to hold you. I can’t—” He cuts off, his breath coming ragged. “I don’t want to do anything extreme. But if you go… if you disappear from me, I won’t have a choice.”
Your fingers curl into a fist. “You wouldn’t.”
Silence.
Then, so soft you almost miss it—
“Try me.”
A sharp shiver races down your spine. You glance toward the CCTV camera again, half-expecting something—someone—to be standing beneath it. But there’s nothing. Just the blinking red light.
Elias exhales shakily. “Say my name again.”
You hadn’t even realized you said it. But now, the air between you feels heavier, thick with something suffocating.
The line crackles.
“I could make it so no one else gets to hear you.”
The line hisses, the static thickening like something alive, slithering into your ears. The light on the CCTV flickers once. Twice.
Then, for the first time, it turns off.
And the screen of your computer—your only tether to the outside world—goes black.
A new message appears.
LOOK BEHIND YOU.
The office lights flicker—then cut out entirely.
The room plunges into darkness, the only glow coming from your now-useless monitor. Your breath catches, ears straining for any sound beyond the hum of the dead air.
A faint creak.
The hairs on the back of your neck rise.
Shadows shift against the dim glow of your screen. There shouldn't be anyone here. You're the only one working this late—
Then, the dim reflection on your blacked-out monitor shifts.
A shape. A figure standing just behind your chair.
A breath, so close it skims your ear.
And then, a whisper.
"I told you not to leave me."

WING IT
A/N: we are slowly getting more content, lets just hope something drops soon!
WORD COUNT: 3k
SUMMARY: It's your first day working in Selma's Home, you're nervous enough already, but when an emergency calls your boss away and you're left alone, the situation is topped when famous CEO Harry Styles casually strolls in.
MASTERLIST | SUPPORT ME!
Tumblr media
It doesn’t matter that this job is just an in-between. Something that earns you money until your dream position opens. A first day is always stressful, especially when you have no idea what to do.
You were applying to dozens of jobs at once, just shooting everywhere you could, hoping to get an answer back before your rent was due. Selma’s Home was the first one to invite you for an interview and somehow, miraculously you even got the job despite the fact that you have no experience in retail. You suspect that desperation was a big factor in your hiring, because Selma lost 2 of her employees at once when the young couple that was working for her moved across the country.
Now here you are, walking into the store, nervously fidgeting with your fingers as you head down the aisles where you see Selma behind the cash register already getting ready to open.
“Hi!” you greet her, her head snapping up at your weak voice. Selma is such a fierce, kind of intimidating woman, but you can see how it helped her to open this store and make it one of the most successful home decor stores in the city, offering tasteful stylish pieces along with practical utility items for one’s home.
“Oh, hi! Welcome to your first day, you ready?” She even cracks a smile, but somehow it just makes you gulp hard.
“Yeah, readier than ever!” you manage to squeeze out a nervous chuckle, hoping she doesn’t sense your jitters.
“Alright, then let’s get started.”
With an hour until opening Selma is eager to squeeze in as much information into it as possible. She walks you through the store, talking about the most important items, but also handing you a handbook about everything that’s currently selling in the store.
“Use your downtime to roam around and you’ll learn them by the end of the week without the handbook,” she says, eyes running over the shelves as she is talking, already moving to the storage room in the back.
She talks about the system, how to unload the new arrivals every two weeks and then you move on to the cash register, aka your biggest fear. It’s quite the stress factor to deal with money, making sure everything is neat and correct, you can only hope you won’t mess it all up.
Then the store opens and you follow around Selma to learn the ropes. What’s different here is that whenever a customer comes in you offer them help right away and if needed, you assist them throughout their whole time shopping. There are quite some designer products selling and you’ll need to know everything about them to be able to sell them to the customers just like Selma does.
She is so good at it. No matter who comes in, she so effortlessly talks them into leaving with not only what they came for, but some more as well. She is enchanting, nice, open and warm and you just keep taking notes mentally, though you don’t feel confident enough to be as charming as she can be the moment the bell rings above the door.
When lunch rolls around you allow yourself to feel relieved for a second that you survived half the day already. Selma sends you to the back to have your lunch and you just sit in silence, staring ahead of you, mustering up all your energy for the rest of the workday. You’ve just finished your sandwich when Selma barges into the breakroom.
“Y/N, there’s a bit of an emergency.”
You jump to your feet, scenarios already running through your mind. Is there a fire? Did the storefront just collapse? Someone stole those hella expensive Japanese tablecloths?
“What happened?”
“My daughter, she is ugh! Such a menace, she got into trouble at school, so I have to go there. I need you to cover for a bit, just an hour tops, I swear!”
She is already grabbing her purse, pushing her sunglasses to the top of her head, car keys in hand while you just stand there dumbfounded. Is she actually gonna leave you alone in the store on your first day?
“Selma, I-I don’t…”
“You do, Honey. Just an hour. This is a dead time anyway, if anyone comes in, just try your best to help them and ring them up at the end. Easy, I know you can do it!”
She is storming out and you follow her like a lost puppy.
“B-But what if I mess something up?” you ask, panic setting in.
“As long as you don’t set the store on fire, you’ll be fine. I trust you, Y/N!”
And with that, she is already gone, the bell rings above the door as you stand there like a statue.
You watch the storefront in pure panic, your stomach dropping every time it seems like someone is approaching the shop, but no one comes in.
Until the bell rings above the door.
For a split second you hope it’s Selma, but looking up you see a tall, broad figure and your heart threatens to burst right out of your anxiety filled chest, at first because hello! It’s a customer! But then as he steps further into the shop and takes off his sunglasses, realization settles in.
This is not just a regular customer, this is Harry Fucking Styles, CEO of Pleasing Productions, the studio that’s given the world the absolute best romantic movies in the past decades and the man is famously known for being a ladies favorite, but appearing as a total mystery in the media.
You’ve read about him a lot before, it’s hard not to bump into his name online, thanks to his looks he is always somehow in talk for either having dinner with a model, appearing on the red carpet looking like a fucking snack, or, your personaly favorite, declining giving an answer to a question regarding his private life.
And now he is standing there, looking around the store.
It takes a couple of moments for you to push out of this frozen state and finally step forward.
“Hello!”
Wow. Did your voice actually sound like that?
Clearing your throat you keep moving towards him.
“Hi, can I help you with anything?”
You try to rake your mind to remember everything you’ve seen and heard from Selma to use now, but the moment he looks up, your mind goes blank. He is just as beautiful as he looks in pictures or maybe even more. Unlike on those red carpet photos where he is always dressed in designer suits, now he is wearing a pair of simple pants and a gray long sleeve, his hair is a bit tousled and it appears he is growing his beard out, a bit shaggy, but he makes it look very… hot. That’s all you can say looking at him.
“Oh, hey!” He is sporting a polite smile as he looks up, about to keep talking, but he stops for a moment upon looking at you and he stops.
Everything stops.
It’s as if he is taking you in, you can feel your cheeks heating up, the nervous fidgeting starts again, but you hide your hands behind your back so he doesn’t notice.
“I’m looking for some kitchen stuff,” he then says, hiding his hands in his pockets.
“Great!” you breathe out. “We do have… those.”
You flinch internally, but ignore just how awkward you are in his presence.
You ask him about what he needs specifically as the two of you start walking down the isles and for a moment you think of grabbing the handbook, but that would look awful, so you make a decision on the spot.
You’re gonna just wing it.
What could go wrong? You’ll just pretend like you’re Selma, confident and know everything about the items, you’re gonna say whatever comes to your mind and just… wing it.
All while ignoring how attractive this man is up close. And intimidating. And charming. And…
“I think I want to check out the coffee stuff first,” he suggests and nodding you walk him over to the kitchen items.
“Do you have a coffee machine and you’re looking for some accessories, or…”
“I just got one of those old fashioned moka coffee pots,” he says with a boyish smile. “But I want to get that to the next level, if you know what I mean.” You do not.
“Of course,” you smile, eyes scanning over the shelves.
Your grandmother has one of those old moka coffee makers, but you have absolutely no idea what else could be used for those, so you just start grabbing things and making up what they are used for.
One after the other, you just keep showing him stuff with no idea what you’re talking about, but the longer you’re talking the more confident you’re growing, especially when he just keeps nodding and humming along to anything you say.
“So… which one are you more interested in?” you ask at the end of your little speech. You look at him and find him already looking at you with a tiny smile curling up the corners of his mouth.
“What can you tell me about those?” he asks, ignoring your question and just moving to another shelf.
He keeps asking about items and you just make up everything as you go. Of course, you know some of the stuff, but you were never really a true chef in the kitchen, so there are way too many items you don’t know that much, but somehow, you’ve gathered enough confidence that even you believe what you say.
Slowly, Harry fills his basket as you move through the store and every time you look at him you catch him already looking at you with the same smile you can’t quite decipher.
“What about those?” he points up at a set of plates on the top shelf.
“Oh, those are so pretty! Let me show you them!” you enthuse and run to grab the ladder from the back.
It’s not the steadiest tool for sure, but you ignore the wobble you feel when you start climbing it.
“Are you sure it’s–”
“It’s fine, don’t worry,” you chuckle, reaching the top step, but your knees are definitely shaking. You focus on grabbing the plates and getting off as fast as possible, but right when you take them off the shelf you already feel yourself losing balance.
But Harry is quick to come to your rescue. One of his hands grabs the ladder to steady it and the other… the other one grabs the back of your thigh to help you hold yourself up. Until then you were shaking because of the ladder, but now it’s definitely because of his firm hold on you, the warmth of his touch and the thoughts that unrelease when you realize just how perfectly his fingers are digging into your flesh.
“You good?” he asks in a deep, husky voice.
“Yeah.” Your voice is barely more than just a whisper as you hold onto the plates as if they could hold you up.
You start moving down on the ladder, but Harry’s hand doesn’t leave your body, it works up on your hips and waist, grabbing onto your elbow as you finally step onto the ground and even then, he is still touching you, his eyes locked on yours as you’re still holding those damn plates. The image of dropping them and pushing up against him flashes through your mind and your knees wobble again when you catch his gaze flickering down to your lips for a second.
“The plates,” you blurt out then. He looks down and a smile stretches across his face.
“They really are pretty.”
“Right?” you let out a breathy laugh.
“Now that you risked your life for them, I guess it’s only fair if I actually buy them.”
Fuck, your heart is about to jump right out of your chest, how is he so smooth?
You gather a few more things and then move to the cash register to ring everything up.
“How long have you been working here?” he asks, patiently waiting for you to finish.
“Um… Do you want the truth?” you ask, with a cheeky smile.
“Yeah.”
“This is my first day,” you admit, just as you finish the scanning and when you look at the amount it all added up to, you almost choke on your own saliva. “Um, your total is 1630.”
For a moment you think he’ll question how it’s so much, but without hesitation he whips out his card and taps it on the terminal.
“First day, huh?”
“You wouldn’t have guessed?”
“Oh, I kind of did,” he chuckles and he starts to help you with putting everything away in bags. “You really should learn what the items are used for.”
Normally you’d be embarrassed that he noticed how much you just made up, but the smile he is gifting you with vanishes all negative feelings and you can actually find it funny.
“I will.”
“Thank you for your assistance,” he smirks, grabbing the bags from the counter. “And if I happen to leave a review about the excellent service, what name should I drop?”
“I’m Y/N,” you say with a sheepish smile. He then sticks his hand out and you take it.
“Harry. It was really nice meeting you.”
“You too.”
With a final wave he turns around, slides his sunglasses back to the bridge of his nose and then walks out of the store. You stand there completely overwhelmed by the experience and you have no idea how much time passes by before Selma barges through the door.
“Hi Darling! How did everything go?” she beams, walking up to the counter where you’re still standing.
“Great!”
“Did anyone come in?”
“Yeah. Harry Styles was just here.” Selma freezes for a moment before looking up at you.
“Harry Styles? As in…”
“Yeah. That Harry Styles.”
“How did it go? Did he buy anything?”
“He spent 1600 dollars on kitchen stuff.”
“Y/N, that’s great!” Selma claps her hands. “Was he satisfied? Could you help him?”
“I think I could,” you say with a knowing smile. “He seemed… satisfied, yeah.”
Tumblr media
The first day jitters are luckily gone by the next day, especially because Selma looked at you with so much pride after you told her about your encounter with Harry that you feel like you can’t do anything wrong.
Before lunch Selma asks you to rearrange some stuff in the storage and you’re a bit relieved you don’t have to take any customers for now.
But because of that, you’re not out when one specific person walks into the shop. Again.
Harry enters the store confidently, a smile already on his lips as he looks in the direction of the cash register, but it fades when he only sees Selma, but no sight of you. Selma, on the other hand, becomes ecstatic when she sees and recognizes him.
“Welcome! How may I help you?” she chirps, walking towards Harry, who is still looking around, eyes searching for you.
“Hey, is the… Is the woman who worked yesterday here? Y/N?” Selma stops, surprised.
“Y/N? Uh, yes, but she is busy now, I’m sure I can help you–”
“I want her,” he states.
“She is still training, I’m sure I can–”
“Look,” Harry sighs. “What’s your name?”
“I’m Selma, the owner,” she states proudly.
“Selma, I’m more than happy to buy everything in this store if it means I get to talk to her. How does that sound?”
Selma stares back at him, finally understanding the situation. Her stance changes instantly.
“Let me go get her for you.”
You’re going over your list in the back when Selma appears, her spotless appearance feels odd in the storage room’s setting.
“Oh, hey! I just finished with–”
“I need you outside.”
“What? Why?” Panic washes over you, because you can’t read her face and what could she possibly need you for outside on your second day?
“Just come. Now!” She turns around and heads out, not even checking if you’re following her. Of course you do.
“Selma, what did I–” you start mumbling behind her, but just when you step out and spot Harry at the cash register.
His face lights up the moment he sees you and those damn butterflies start raging in your stomach.
“Harry, you’re here. Again,” you state the obvious.
“I am,” he chuckles and you see Selma walk away from the corner of your eyes.
“How, um–What can I… help you with?” you ask, clearing your throat. Why is he here? Could it be… because of you? Yesterday you definitely spent an awful lot of time daydreaming of the way he was touching you on that ladder and you’d be lying if you said you felt disappointed he just walked out, knowing you might never see him again.
Well, so much for that.
“I forgot to get something yesterday.”
“Oh,” is all you can say, the disappointment snaking back into your gut. He is not here because of you, how could you even think about that?
Harry’s smile widens as he watches your face drop and then he finally continues.
“Your number.”
Your eyes widen and you must look quite funny, because Harry chuckles at the sight of your expression.
“Was this too straight forward?”
“No!” you snap right away, maybe a bit too eagerly. “Not at all.”
“Great, then…”
He pulls his phone out of his pocket and hands it over, you type your number in quickly and hand it over. He taps on the screen and a second later your phone starts buzzing in your back pocket.
“Just checking you didn’t give me a pizzeria’s number,” he jokes, making you laugh. “And… now that I’m conveniently here, maybe you can show me some more stuff.”
“What do you need?” you ask as the two of you head down one of the aisles.
“Hmm, how long is your shift?”
“Um, another four hours,” you scoff.
“Then I guess I’m interested in everything. Whatever takes four hours to look at so I can take you out once you’re done.”

I read through all of Elias/Jonah's dialogue (as you do) plus some relistening and mentions of him, so here's a big list of some fun things and behaviors I noted!
I thought he made a lot of eye puns/jokes, but he only does it once in mag161, however he does enjoy making jokes. "Creativity never was their forte." from mag80, "You want my account? My sworn testimony? My statement?" from 82, "If you die, I’m afraid you probably won’t be able to claim your expenses." in 116 and "I only have two eyes, after all." in 120. no one ever laughs at his jokes only he finds them amusing
His last words telling Jon a sarcastic or mocking "good luck" are mirrored earlier as he also tells Basira good luck the last time he sees her, and Martin, as he's getting arrested
He loves gloating. "I forget how new you all are to this." from mag92, "Coffee is not as good for disguising tastes as you might think." in 98, "She’s hoping that even if I see it coming she’ll still be able to overpower me. She’s wrong, of course," in 102, "A masterpiece, isn’t it?" abt his panopticon in 158 and of course his whole monologue in 160
He does his budgeting on tuesdays and his scheduling on wednesdays
He also likes getting lost in work
in mag40 he makes up proper incompetency (said he didnt know how the fire system works, while he later admits he was actively waiting) just that once, but more so he acts like he doesnt get the full picture (doesnt know whats in the tunnels, whats strange about the institute) or acts too late and apologises (not stepping into jon's stalking behaviour). Which makes me think he is quite fine letting people think less of him but unless he has something to hide hes not actively looking to give the impression
in mag92 elias slides the papers for basira across his desk, but you don't hear him take them out before, meaning he prepared and got ready for this before he called the police
in general he's a very preparing man, Lukas steps in when Elias is arrested so has has control over who'd run it. in mag118 he says he prepared something to hurt martin (my speculation is that he likely has some trauma that could hurt you prepared for any person that could cross him, just in case he needs it). When he gets arrested he has something prepared so he doesnt get killed and ofc s1-4 is preparing Jon for his grand ritual
Elias admits the idea for his ritual kinda fell into place after Getrude didnt do anything about the people's church in march 2015. He shot Getrude and appointed Jon shortly after so "when you came to me already marked by the Web, I knew it had to be you." is pure dramatics as Jon was hired 4 years prior
also he got his ritual in 2018 so he managed to acomplish his life's goal in only 3 years, love his grindset 🔥
We never get a number for how many people Elias has killed in his ritual, the real life millbank has held over 1000 people at once, but id imagine his one panopticon held less than a whole complex
its really interesting to me in mag92 that hes SO sure they all know he's talking to them of his own free will. is he just that dead set on being in control or making sure they take no credit for his confession
there is a clock in Elias' office (but it's only heard in mag98)
He has killed people but Elias is very much not a blood thirsty person. Getrude and Peter are both surprised when he results to that. He's very much just ruthless and does not care, if to get his way he has to kill someone. It doesnt seem like he's ever happy to do so, maybe this is a quirk of being eye aligned and getting rid of any type of knowledge is painful (he does for example never want Tim to die at the Unknowing), or he just finds covering those murders up a hassle
for the Unknowing Elias books them all hotel rooms, how thoughtful
something cute to me that Jon was too good at the Eye that Elias couldnt meet him face to face post coma
In mag158 he implies that even Institute employees not in the archives are tied to it, at least enough that they could suffer or die if it burned down
between finding other people just as tools to watch and discard and saying empathy holds you back he was definitely a very very lonely man
He is a very breathy person. He sounds breathy when he talks. He takes deep breaths to ready himself and before he uses his powers. And he often breathes through his nose before speaking or during pauses
He has said Jon's name 62 times, only twice calling him "Jonathan" and called him archivist 25 times (24 in the mag120 statement, 1 in mag138 and 1 in mag161)(he also kinda calls him The Archive in 160)
other fun amount of words: know (65 times), see (42), martin (35), detective (20), eyes (20) and eye (9), afraid (9) and "bullshit" (1)
its still insane to me they added all of those sound effects of Elias' cuffs in prison, thats something fun to appreciate. It also means its canon he gestures quite a bit!

»I— I'll fix it.. I swear!«
I beg and plead as the shop owner shoves me out the door. I was a good employee, I really was, I always tried my best and always put my everything into every shift. I slump down against the door and begin to sob. This job was barely enough to cover for monthly food rations.. and aside from food I needed to fix up my house and save up for new clothes. I was going to even look for a second job to cover all of my expenses but now I don't have anything! I do not even know what triggered that immediate reaction, I mean, firing me on the spot? After breaking a simple vase that the shop manager bought just a week ago? From what I overheard it wasn't even expensive!
I stand up slowly and make my way back home, head hung low in defeat. I wasn't sure what to do now, I mean.. I've got to find a job, sure, but that was harder done than said nowadays, especially at this time of the year. Snezhnaya was a cold country all year round but winters were especially harsh. I wonder how I'd survive this year, I mean my roof is busted, my water supply is running low due to my pipes freezing up thanks to my broken heating system and not to mention that one of my windows cracked. With no heating, cracked windows and a part missing roof my house was as cold as the outside and I was barely surviving. I wasn't sure what to do till I saw freshly hung posters in the town square as I passed.
'Looking for hire.'
They said, and I stepped closer, considering the idea without even checking for the publisher. I'm glad I did because my eyes almost jumped out of my skull. It would've been a death sentence to join the Fatui and there's no way I'd even consider taking up this job offer, even if my life depends on it. The Northland bank is looking for hire? Yeah no thanks..
I stumble along and head home, hugging myself tightly, already missing my warm.. well.. as warm as it can get, blanket.
________
I stare at the dry piece of bread and the already lukewarm coffee set before me on the table. Everyday is getting harder and I don't know if I'll have enough money to buy food for next week. I lean forward and rest my head into my palms, sighing loudly. I don't know what else to do, I cannot find a job and donations from doing community service aren't enough. It's getting colder each day and I have a feeling I'll freeze if I don't get my house fixed up. That's when I decide that enough is enough and stand up, grabbing my coat.
I step out into the cold and begin to venture downtown, ready to start my search. I couldn't continue on like this knowing I'll eventually starve without a stable income. I knew I'd have to get up and start looking this morning when I found another window cracked.
I shuffle through the thick snow, snow slowly falling from the sky. It's a beautiful sight, the sun rising behind the parting clouds coloring the sky a bright gray-orange-blue-ish color. It was barely 6:30 in the morning and I was already threading through the city, heading towards the commission's guild, knowing I could make a quick buck or two there. Then I'd head towards the community board in the city center at around 9 to check for any new posters. The idea was great and It worked out perfectly.. to a degree.
I stopped by The adventurers guild like I said I would, greeting Katheryne and wishing her a wonderful morning. I accepted two out of three commissions offered to me, seeing as the third involved fighting some Hilichurls and I wasn't very skilled with weapons. I barely used my Pryo vision and even that was when I needed a source of heat, having no other use for the darn thing. The other two commissions were the delivery type. Ivanka, a widow living on the outskirts of the city required a fresh batch of groceries delivered and Jasmine, a local florist required some fresh soil that needed to be picked up from the dock and delivered to her straight. The commissions didn't take long and I was done very quickly, before the clock even struck 9.
I made my way back towards the Adventurer's guild, waving towards Katheryne from a far.
»I'm back!«
I exclaim excitedly. Katheryne offers me a bright smile, opening her mouth to speak.
»Thank you for completing Today's commissions. Here is your reward.«
I grab the pouch she holds out to me and flinch due to it's weight.
»A-Ah! Thank you!«
I grin and straighten a little then look around. People were beginning to wake up, go about their day and open up shops. I turn back to Katheryne and stare at her for a second then ask.
»Do you know if anybody's offering jobs of any kind for a little income?«
She thinks for a second then nods, giving me a reassuring smile.
»Well I believe the Northland bank is still searching! Best of luck if you do choose to give it a try!«
I freeze and look around. The Northland bank? Still? It's been a week and the spot hasn't been filled yet? There's no way I'd even get the job if no other has been able to in the past week! Still I believe there's no other choice I have.. Katheryne would've mentioned it if there were any other job offers available but I doubt there is since she hasn't mentioned anything. I slowly make my way towards the plaza hoping and praying to the Tsaritsa and any Celestial force that might hear my prayers to bless me with a job that is NOT working at the Northland bank.
I round the corner, passing by the local bakery and spot a younger girl standing by the notice board, either taking something off or nailing a poster to the board, I wasn't sure. I approach her slowly before making my presence known as to not startle her.
»Hey! Morning..«
I say and she turns around to look at me then offers me a friendly smile.
»Mornin'«
I now stand next to her and look over at the board confirming my suspicions. She indeed was taking a poster off, the one for the local flower shop. I tried applying for a simple cashier job there but I was too late and the place was taken before I could even ask about the offer. I sigh, spotting the last job poster on the board and my heartbeat speeds up a bit. I groan and the lady looks over at me, worriedly.
»You alright, ma'am?«
She asks and I nod, apologizing.
»Indeed, I apologize, I'm just having terrible luck looking for a job.«
She hums, nodding.
»Good luck, hey the Northland bank seems to still have an open spot? Considered checking it out?«
»I have but I doubt it's smart to get involved with the Fatui..«
»That is true.. well best of luck!«
She wishes me a good day and I return the kind words, watching her disappear around the block. I stare at the board. Town info, news reports, missing person posters, the board was filled with crap like that yet no job offers. I snatch the Northland bank poster, ripping it off and turn towards home, deciding that perhaps this was my last chance. I'll put on my best clothes and warmest smile and hope for the best.
_____
I stand before the large doors, shuddering at the thought that if luck's on my side today there might just be a chance I'd have to pass them every day. I take a moment to collect myself then slowly push the pine doors open, taking my first step inside. The warmth hits me in the face immediately and I stop for a moment, taking in the warm air and sweet smell. The Bank smells like a bakery would and it isn't as loud as one would think. People are speaking in hushed tones and keeping to themselves, not one dares to speak up. The place is clean, and I mean clean. Even the plants look perfect!
I step up to the front desk and the secretary looks up from the papers, giving me a warm smile.
»Good afternoon! How may I help you?«
She asks in a tone so cheery I didn't think was possible.  I look around for a brief moment then back to her, forcing myself to return the gesture.
»I heard you were offering a job?«
Her cheery facade drops and she stares at me, dumbfounded. I wasn't sure whether she was about to laugh seeing as somebody like me was definitely not fit to work in a bank, or because I was ballsy enough to actually show up to the bank without hesitation and ask about the job? I mean the poster was up for a long while therefore I'm guessing nobody realllllyyy wanted to even think about taking up the offer.
»M-Ma'am?«
I stutter and freeze up when she suddenly snaps out of whatever trance she was in and her warm smile returns.
»A-Apologies..! Come with me!«
She doesn't ask for my information, for even my name nor what the job would be other than working behind a desk! She just asks me to follow after her and seeing as I hold no authority over her I do not really have the right to stop her and ask her pointless questions that have a chance of getting answered even after I follow her.
We make our way up a looped staircase onto the first floor which is connected to a balcony that overlooks the bank. Every millimeter of the bank walls is covered in golden and wooden details, gems and crystals of different kinds. Even the floor looks expensive and neatly polished. I heard that the maids get paid quite a lot and they don't have to deal with customers or any of the Fatui officials therefore I wonder how much I will get paid for doing both! I could salivate at the thought of how well I'll fix up my little house with the hard earned money but I decided to push those thoughts away seeing as there's a chance I'll jinx myself and not get the job if I think about it too hard. I focus my attention back onto the bank worker and offer her a soft smile as she opens the glass double doors for me, the ones we stopped in front of after leading me down a maze of hallways.
»One of our employers should be in right now, they'll take it over from here. Best of luck, Comrade!«
She says and turns on her heel, leaving me alone. I take a deep breath before creaking the door open slowly, dipping one foot inside the room then following with my whole body and finally the other foot. I now stand inside the room my attention immediately falling onto the circular desk in the middle of the room. Behind it sit three ladies, all facing away from each other, a slim pillar extending outward towards the ceiling stands in the very middle. Their desk looks awfully messy and they seem to be in a rush. I step over and greet the black haired one, offering her a smile although I do not get one in return.
»Make it quick please, I'm busy.«
She chews on a piece of gum rather loudly, clicking the pen impatiently. I stutter but step closer, placing my ID onto the table.
»[Last name][Name], [Age], I saw you guys were looking for a secretary and was wondering whether there was any chance it was still open. I'll be honest I have no work experience in this field and don't really know what the job of a secretary involves... b-but I learn very quickly...!«
She stares at me and sighs, shaking her head. Her demeanor went from annoyed to tired in an instant and she didn't seem so hostile anymore.
»No experience you say? Ughh... erm.. well this job requires a lot of running around and a good memory s—«
I cut her off immediately, scrambling to catch my words. She shoots me a glance but doesn't stop me.
»That's no problem, really.. ! O-Oh and I remember things quickly!«
She nods, signalling that she indeed was listening as she writes something down.
»Well you'll have to wait because we were ju—«
Just as she was about to finish speaking she gets interrupted for the second time, this time not daring to look a bit annoyed. Through one of the hallways enters..
The Regator
The doors opened by Fatui Skrimishers as they escort him into the room and he sets eyes on one of the desk workers, unfortunately exactly the one I was speaking to.
»You!«
One of the Skrimishers calls out and she yelps.
»M-Me..?«
The Skrimisher walks over, slapping a pile of reports onto her table.
»Go make a copy for each and every one of these separately, now!«
The Regator stares at us intently and she looks up at him, then at me and finally at the Skrimisher.
»But.. M-My Lord.. I was tending to this young lady, she's here for an interview..!«
His smile twists into a large grin upon hearing those words and he finally speaks, his voice silky smooth.
»Wonderful, I'll take over from here.«
He purrs and I freeze. Take over? I'll get interviewed by The Regator himself? This is a joke..
I step back towards the desk and stare at the man who takes a step closer, eyes narrowing.
»Chop, chop! I don't have all day.«
He says, his tone changing immediately. He moves past us towards the back of the room where stands an impressive set of double doors which leads to another hallway. The Regator looks over his shoulder and I jump, realizing I have to follow and not just stare! We enter another expensively decorated room which seemed to serve as a waiting room. At the very far right wall stood yet another set of doors. I wonder how many this place even has. The Skrimishers open the door for the 9th and he steps inside. I hesitate for a second but just for a second as the next moment I am standing inside of the office, doors closed behind me. I was shoved inside and didn't really have a choice.
»Well then? I sure don't have all day. Come on, sit.«
His demeanor changed immediately, his smile gone and his eyes cold, staring daggers through my form. I approach slowly and pull the cushioned chair out, cringing at the sound it makes as it scrapes against the floor. I cautiously sit down and The Regator leans back, pulling out a blank form from one of his drawers.
»Let's make this quick. I'll need a full name and age, address, previous work experience..«
He continues on but I don't really listen to him, more than what not staring at the blank form. Would my picture go there? Why do they need so much information? What would happen if I just refused and got out of here. He snaps me out of my thoughts as he clears his throat.
»Are you still with me?«
He's becoming irritated.
»My apologies, My Lord.«
»Ah so you can speak after all.«
He grins, sliding me the sheet.
»Make sure to be quick, we'll have to interview you properly.«
I nod and swallow nervously as I rake my eyes over the sheet of paper. He holds out a pen, his long slender fingers adorned with all kinds of rings and jewels. He smiles, although his smile unlike the other employees' wasn't warm and welcoming, more like threatening. I return the smile awkwardly as I take the pen, focusing back on the paper. There wasn't much to fill out except for personal information. Why would my work place need my address? My previous one sure as hell did not, so why now? Well perhaps it was to mail me the check, but still I can collect it at work!
»[Name]..«
He mumbles as he watches me write my name down. I look up immediately and he grins, waving me off.
»Is there a problem, M-My Lord..?«
»Oh don't you worry your pretty head off, nothing's wrong, continue on.«
I hum and skip through the attention notice, then finish the task I was given. I lay the pen down and look back up. He's focused on the sheet rather intently. He reaches forward, sliding it over the desk and I freeze. Oh right, he actually has to read this. His eyes scan the page and he frowns. Oh no..
»Antique shop manager? That's unfortunate.«
»I— Is there a problem...?«
»I don't think your past work experience matches what we are looking for. Quite unfortunate I must say.«
He sighs and stands up and my heart drops. Wait.. so I didn't get it? But..!
»W—Wa— My Lord! I seriously need this job I..«
I cannot believe I'm begging for a job I was at first hesitant to even apply for but at this point it is my last chance, the only means of survival.
»Oh really? Do tell me why this position should be granted to exactly you over every other person twice as experienced as you.«
As experienced as me? For fucks sake it's just some numbers! I grit my teeth and look at him, knowing I'd regret my words immediately.
»What every other person? As far as I've noticed I'm the only one applying for this job, no other was in line behind me!«
His smile falls and I freeze yet again.
»Oh?«
»I— W—«
He slams his hands onto the table and stands up, I gulp.
»You've got guts to bark out against a harbinger, I'll give you that.«
I melt into my chair as I watch him round the table, staring down at my form.
»Not only you decide to go against my word and my beliefs you as well try to demand things from me?«
»I—«
»So tell me, Gem. Why should a job as highly paying as this go to somebody lowly like you?«
»M-My Lord..«
He scoffs and stops before me, leaning against the desk just two or so feet away from me. I look up and he grins widely for what feels like the 100th time, knowing I'm afraid and won't even think about acting out again.
»W-Well.. a tree fell and some windows cracked.. I— I have been barely s-surviving...I—«
I stare at my feet, fumbling with my hands. I know there's no chance of redemption now but all I can do is pray. He hums, grabbing my face and I flinch, staring up at him in disbelief. The cold metal of his rings digs into my face and I grimace at the feeling.
»I have an idea how we could fix this mishap..«
I try to pull away but he grabs at his belt and I think I've got just the Idea.
___
He pulls at my hair, bringing my head back as I gasp for air. Tears run freely down my cheeks as I choke on his precum and my own saliva, barely catching a breath before he brings my head back down, stuffing my mouth.
»Yo-You know— haah..«
He bites at his lips before pulling my head off again.
»I usually don't do this but.. celestia.. I couldn't help myself..«
I sob as he brings me up by my collar, chasing my mouth with his own. He groans as our lips connect, moving together furiously, melting into each other. A string of saliva connects us as he pulls away, the scene is absolutely filthy.
»The way you looked up at me.. dear Tsaritsa.. haa—«
He groans as I trace my hand up his length and attempt sink back to my knees to finish what I've started but he stops me, gripping my arm before I could. I look up at him again and he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. Suddenly I'm flipped around and over his desk as he grips my hair, forcing me forward. I gasp as he grips my hips, leaning over my body.
»You know... I'm tempted to sign you up as my personal assistant right about now. You'd like that, wouldn't you?«
He says as he slowly slides pulls my pants down, slapping my ass.
»I asked you a question.«
He grips my throat and shoves me further into the table and I cry out. His cold rings making me shiver.
»Y-Yes! I would love to—«
He slaps me again, this time harder before pulling my undergarments off with such force I swear to everything I own I could have heard a rip. I can hear the grin on his face as he speaks again, fingers tracing my opening.
»I'm sure of it..«
He slides his fingers inside my heat, curling them upwards and I jolt, sobbing into my hand.
»We'll have to train you then, you said you were a fast learner? Did I hear that right?«
I simply nod but he frowns, not that I could see it, of course. He removes his fingers with a whine from my side and smacks my ass again, hard enough to leave a mark.
»I expect a proper answer whenever I ask you a question.«
»Y-Yes! Ye—ees My Lord!«
He grins again, rubbing the spot he just struck.
»Wonderful, don't you worry I'll call off my next meeting then we'll have plenty of time!« 。゚•┈꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱┈• 。゚

This one is about ASL x Fem!Sanji
Like, with Sanji is common boys flirting with him, and they already are jealous, but Fem!Sanji?!
The girl is being flirted with by boys and girls, at first it was only boys but after they turn teens girls start to flirt with her too. And let me tell you, the girls probaly were even more flirty and straight forward.
As they grow up the amount of girls flirting with their girlfriend grows too. ASL, Makino, Zeff and even Garp and Dadan just know Sanji is too pretty for her own good.
Okay so, Fem!Sanji my beloved oblivious blonde, she's so dumb and has a self image so skewed she doesn't believe anyone would flirt with her. She's not used to overt affection and then is only used to her boys doing it with her. They also don't flirt with Sanji, not in the way most normal people think of flirting. They actively fight for her attention and hold onto her and carry her around. Sanji is so used to her boys vying for her attention most interactions will go over her head. The Baratie is famous not just for the food but the gorgeous blonde who works there and for the trail of heart break she leaves across the East Blue. It's hilarious. Sanji will be waiting tables and is left a bunch of den den numbers on the receipts that get staked at the end of the day. There's a betting pool with the employees and the regulars about how long the banned list is going to be at the end of the month. It's an unfortunate state that the Clown of the East Blue is winning but ah well.
It's not as bad as when Sanji takes her boys on supply on runs. Sanji has so many extras piled into her shopping it confuses her, the women will often try to lure Sanji away into the makeup stores and perfume stores as if her boyfriends won't follow her until their dying day. Dadan keeps trying to explain to Sanji that she draws a lot of attention to herself because she's not from the East and everyone can tell that. She's pretty and her hair is like a cloud of curls and fluff that's incredibly soft. Sanji thinks so poorly of herself that she's lucky she somehow managed to pull three feral jungle boys to date her and she only thinks it's because of Zeff and Garp. Dadan wants to strangle her.
It doesn't matter who is blunt and straightforward because Sanji just doesn't believe them whatsoever. She doesn't even believe her boyfriends half the time and it only gets worse after they start heading out. First Ace, then Sabo, then a few years later Luffy who somehow manages to convince Sanji to go with him. Everyone loses the betting system for who Sanji sets off with. It's a wild and funny joke to the betting pool because of course the clown won after the shitshow that was Orange Town. But Sanji keeps getting flirted with. Loguetown sees her being offered good luck charms left and right, some expensive which she hands off to Nami when asked. Nami smiles and sells the trinkets back except for this aquamarine one that Sanji had explained is said to bring good luck to sailors and she lost hers piercing her boyfriends ears because they wanted something of hers to take with. Nami is confused by the statement because Sanji is dating Luffy and Sanji is looking at her with a smile before Nami puts the earrings on Sanji while blushing madly because yeah. She's cute. Nami gets glared at by Luffy afterwards and told Sanji is his girlfriend and Nami agrees and asks what's wrong with what she did and Luffy pouts and says people do that to Sanji all the time, it's annoying. When the question is asked by Usopp how often this happens Luffy shrugs and says it was worse when all three of them were there with Sanji to everyone's confusion. Who are the other two?
They find the first one on the way to Alabasta by giving Luffy's older brother Ace a lift and watch him drape over Sanji and plant kisses on her. Ace and Zoro are pack mules for a resupply at an island before they make it and Zoro watches Sanji get hit on over and over and her not realize as Ace glares at everyone who does. Then some random guy puts a necklace on her and Zoro watches Ace pull Sanji after giving the guy some beri and Zoro follows helplessly because Ace looks upset and is telling Sanji she can say no and Sanji is arguing he was just being nice. When Zoro asks Ace about it he sighs and tells Zoro about how Dadan used to say Sanji was too pretty for her own good. Then Zoro watches Ace set a large bouquet of flowers some girls are giving Sanji on fire. Ace says he and his brothers were never good at sharing as Sanji stomps angrily towards them and land a solid kick against Ace's stomach. Zoro tells her to quit flirting and gets one of his own. Ace sighs and says Sanji doesn't know what flirting is, even if someone hit her on the head with a two by four. Zoro thinks she's dumb.
Robin watches Sanji get vast discounts on her suits, more than Nami could bargain for. The seamstresses and tailors tend to take her measurements with too many touches and lingering fingers that make Robin watch the girl closely. She laughs about it with the crew, about how the blonde doesn't understand what's happening and Luffy says she's always been like that and except for the one time some guy grabbed her or something and she kicked him so hard he flew into a tree or something and it was the first they saw Sanji do that and Ace asked for him to get kicked and Sabo choked on his spit so badly that he turned blue. Then Zeff kicked them off Baratie because of it. Robin asks about the girls and Luffy says they were always the worst because Sanji's never really been around girls except Dadan and Makino, he thinks Sanji has a sister though but he's not sure. Chopper goes to talk to Sanji about several things which leave her red faced throughout dinner.
When the crew, all of them, meet Sabo and Koala they watch Koala stumble around her words and steps when she catches sight of Sanji. Robin and Luffy giggle as Sabo smirks. Sabo takes the two ladies out to lunch so that he and his girlfriend might catch up and he wants to see how down Koala is for Sanji. He doesn't account for them being served by a waitress and her and Koala fighting for Sanji's attention and Koala speaking over him because maybe she didn't hear that Sanji is his girlfriend and what that means and what she's doing because Koala and the waitress keep trying to one up the other, Koala with stories and the waitress with samples of dishes and desserts. Sabo watches with slight glee as the meal ends and they make it of the restaurant and take Sanji back to the crew. Sanji giving a very sweet to Sabo and him promising a date soon just the two of them as they wave goodbye and the Strawhat crew leaves.
"No fair you got a kiss." Koala whines.
"Completely fair, I've been dating Sanji for years." Sabo argues.
"You just met her today like I did." Koala argues back.
"Koala, I am a very jealous man and it took all my strength to not burn down that restaurant and run off with Sanji. I've been dating her since I heard what dating was in Windmill Village. I already share her with Ace and Luffy." Sabo sighs. Koala's eyes widen as she does the math. "Yeah, last I heard Ace lit someone's kimono on fire in Wano and Luffy regularly punches people. But you're doing so much paperwork when we get back for flirting with my girlfriend after I said she was."
"Fuck."
