every time i see a picture of a pretty dress from the era 1850-1930 i go aw, fitzjames wouldve loved this, and now she never gets to wear it :--(, only to remember that. the real james fitzjames was never recorded holding a dress up to himself and smiling softly. it was the terror (2018) that trans coded the character. it's just a character. i can simply ignore the canon ending of the show and what happened to the real person, and just make fitzjames trans femme and put her in as many pretty dresses from 1859 as i want ! :-) heck yeah i'm invincible

The GoT au: Lord Crozier having james try on the new set of armor he bought for him. James is standing there while Crozier rounds him, adjusting the cape, asking if everything fits comfortably. And james, hopelessly in love and trying not to show it, can only manage a "yes sir thank you sir".

Random feral jopson thing my brain came up with.

this is based off i post a saw a while back of jopson walking in on Fitzjames and Crozier having sex and being like a jealous cat.

so jopson is in love with Francis and all and he walks in on him with Fitzjames. Heartbroken, he doesn't say anything but keeps a distance. slowly stewing in anger until he just snaps one day and ends up lashing out at Fitzjames and/or Francis

the thing you have to remember if you're going to feminise james fitzjames is that she's fought in wars. coming out as a woman in victorian england would not turn her into a demure little housewife she would be out there saying shit like women should be allowed to fight and die for their country. we get no rights i mean they get no rights.
