Sims 3t2 Roaring Heights - The Meyers' divorce
Irene Meyers kissed Frank Astare (who also moved out of Judy's apartment... if you remember, Fred Astare/Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland/Ginger Rogers are parodied in Sims 3 Roaring Heights) directly in front of her husband, Ralph Meyers.
Well ... I thought ... I guess I have to build another apartment complex in Roaring Heights. Irene got kicked out by Ralph and she only has 3,000 Simoleons!
Tumblr media
Furnishing her apartment with couch/bed/tables/etc ... + deposit + rent took her wayyyy down financially. She has 252 Simoleons now.
She lives in "Henry Huntley Apartments".
The apartment layout I totally stole from a mission in LA NOIRE, that detective GTA-style video game from Rockstar? (Shown below)
Tumblr media
Here it is in the game LA NOIRE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not exact ... but it will do. I really only struggle with layouts ... I guess it's uncomfortable for me to just wing it!
So, I take ideas from other forms of media.
There is a back patio with two functional fire pits.
Tumblr media
Our neighbor is a townie, Peggy Brown. There are two apartment units, one on each side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, I built a school playground near the actual Public School Hood Deco... a recreation by someone ... not sure who. It was the school in Sims 3!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
More to come ...

Captain Frederick Boyd
( chris hemsworth, 34, bisexual ) is that FREDERICK BOYD? apparently, they disappeared in MARCH of 2016. HE lived in ALEXANDRIA, VA before they went missing and were last seen near HUNTLEY MEADOWS PARK. at the moment, the police have no leads and the case has gone cold. when they arrived to shadowridge, the residents described them as CONSCIENTIOUS, but also STUBBORN. They ARE NOT a member of the cult.
Hi! I’m Logan. I live in PST timezone. I play both Moira and Frederick. I like spooky things. My discord is logan#1242 if you prefer plotting over discord. Still trying to come up with possible connections for this one, so I’ll probably be updating this later on.
basic information
Name: Frederick Franklin Boyd Nicknames: Fred, Freddie, Rick, Frank Date of Birth: April 4, 1982 Birthplace: Boston, MA Date Taken: March 22nd, 2016 Location Taken: Alexandria, VA Last Seen: Huntley Meadows Park Ethnicity: English/Irish Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Marital Status: Married Dependents: 2 children Occupation: Army Ranger / JAG Corp’s Attorney, unemployed/odd jobs Personality Traits: Conscientious, compassionate, stubborn, rational, patriotic, dogmatic
headcanons
He is a Roman Catholic.
Joined the Army at 17. The Army Rangers at 22. Specialized in Counter-Intelligence until the age of 28. At which point he had earned his law degree and passed the bar exam. He switched from counter-intelligence to law.
He is an amputee. He lost his lower right leg at 26 in Iraq.
He was married with two young children prior to being taken.
He first spotted slender man while on deployment in Iraq in 2012.
At first, he thought it was a Russian PsyOp. Part of him still thinks it’s part of a psyop, about 70% sure, the other 30% thinks it might be an alien.
The switch from Army Rangers to JAG Corp’s was a last resort effort-- he hoped it wouldn’t follow him to DC or at least it couldn’t follow him to a highly secured military base. Unfortunately, it didn’t pan out.
He’s tried to get out of town but uh... after two months, he’s starting to realize that might not be possible.
Given the vegetation surrounding the town, he has decidedly ruled out China being behind all of this. His money is still on Russia. Or Aliens. Or both.
Finding a job’s been difficult since all of the available positions he’s qualified for seem to only hire the loony bins. He’s been considering going into journalism or become a P.I. just to annoy the shit out of everyone if he can’t find something in law or law enforcement.
connections
Hosts - People who have been letting him stay in exchange for odd jobs around their apartment/house or business.

Note
there’s some fucked up people in the UK as well. There’s Dennis Nilsen, Fred and Rose West, Ian Huntley, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley, Harold Shipman and so many more. You also have the non killing fucked up people. Gary Glitter, Jimmy Saville. You then have cases of disappearances like Madeleine McCann. Which might shock some when A LOT of people in the UK don’t like her parents. Usually when parents lose their kids we’re sympathetic but we’re not really with them. If I you wanna know why I’ll tell more in other follow up anon. But we don’t really empathise with them as much as we do other families. You have cases in the UK where people have tried to trick the government to get their own way and it’s turned deadly. Like the case of Mick Philpott. Yeah a lot of fucked up shit over here.
The case of Madeline is known here in Italy! They talked a lot about it but I don't understand why don't you like her parents, what did they do?
I follow an italian YouTuber "Elisa Truecrime" she, obviously, talks about truecrime and she made a video about Ian and Myra... The way I was crying at the end of the video, that's one of the most fucked up cases I ever heard.

Freer Sounds Radio January 2018
Tumblr media
New Year. New Radio Show. Music dug from the furthest corners of my digital and physical music archive. We kick off with solo guitars and intriguing experimentalism and then veer off in a funk and jazzy direction. Post-punk type sounds drag us back before the tempo is upped for a few Housier efforts and then we slide back into the funk to finish off! We have a strong Gothenburg contingent, with music from Atelje, Amateur Hour, Suss Hansson and Gabriel Nils Edvinsson. Glasgow is well represented too, with a number of tracks from the Huntleys + Palmers archive. Elsewhere, we have prime digs from Gothenburg record shops and charity shops, resulting in gospel funk grooves from Edwin Hawkins, Iberian rock from Barrabas and cold 80s sounds from Yazoo. We also have harp assisted jazziness by Earl Klugh sourced from the 1 Euro bin of Barcelona record shop and post-punk grooviness by Maria Lanuit from the top floor of Encants Market. Enjoy!

New Post has been published on https://tattlepress.com/nfl/theres-a-notable-increase-of-utah-ties-in-the-nfl-this-offseason/
There’s a notable increase of Utah ties in the NFL this offseason
Tumblr media
Each summer over the past eight years, the Deseret News has created a master list of Utah ties in the NFL during the offseason. This year, there are 89 Utah ties on an NFL roster just a few weeks before teams head to training camps near the end of July.
How does the number of Utah ties on NFL rosters in 2021 stack up to past seasons?
The 89 Utah ties currently in the NFL is significantly higher than the past three seasons — there were 74 last season, 76 in 2019 and 79 in 2018.
The 2017 offseason set the standard in recent years, when there were 90 local players on NFL rosters around this time, paced by a strong contingent of 35 rookies. Earlier this offseason, there were 90 Utah ties on NFL rosters, before former South Sevier High’s Alani Pututau was released by Atlanta.
In 2016, there were 75 Utah ties on rosters during the summer, with 70 in 2015 and 66 in 2014.
This year’s crop of 89 local players includes 16 rookies, with eight draft picks and eight undrafted free agents.
Here’s a breakdown of those 89 players (note: they can count towards multiple categories):
29 who played at the University of Utah (down from 30 last year)
26 who played at BYU (up from 12 last year)
14 who played at Utah State (down from 15 last year)
4 who played at Weber State (equal to 4 last year)
4 who played at Snow College (equal to 4 last year)
1 who played at Southern Utah (down from 2 last year)
42 who played football at Utah high schools (up from 30 last year)
So, why is there such an increase of Utah ties this year?
Three main reasons contribute to the sizable jump of Utah ties in the NFL:
BYU went from 12 players in the NFL in the 2020 offseason to 26 this year. There are 13 Cougars who will be rookies in 2021 — if they make it to an opening day roster — headlined by quarterback Zach Wilson, the No. 2 overall selection by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL draft.
The number of Utah high school players in the NFL saw an increase of 40% from last year to this year. In addition to Wilson, who went to Corner Canyon High, former Desert Hills High’s offensive tackle Penei Sewell was a first-round draft pick — he went No. 7 overall to the Detroit Lions — and there were seven total Utah high schoolers taken in this year’s draft. There are a total of 10 Utah high school rookies overall.
The University of Utah, yet again, leads the way among state representatives, and the number of Utes only went down one even though longtime quarterback Alex Smith retired and no Utah rookies were drafted — thanks in large part to COVID-19 impacting the past year. Even so, the Utes have had 21 players drafted in the past five years and 18 of them are still in the league.
Here’s a look at each Utah tie in the NFL, listed by team in alphabetical order:

An e-fit showing what detectives believe serial killer Jack the Ripper looked like has been revealed.
Using  new profiling techniques, investigators have created a picture of what they believe the 19th Century murderer would have looked like.
The man, who evaded police in the 1880s, is thought to have killed and mutilated five London prostitutes.
The Scotland Yard team describe him as "frighteningly normal" but someone capable of "extraordinary cruelty".
And investigators have admitted that police at the time were probably searching for the wrong kind of man.
Head  of analysis for Scotland Yard's Violent Crime Command Laura Richards, who has studied serial killer Fred West and Soham murderer Ian Huntley,  revisited the case using modern police techniques.
TV documentary
She  brought together a team of experts, including pathologists, historians  and a geographical profiler, to find out if the case could ever be solved. The result has been the most accurate physical, geographical and psychological portrait of the Ripper ever put together.
Ms  Richards said the 118-year-old evidence shows the Ripper was between   the ages of 25 and 35, between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7ins tall. He was also   of stocky build.
Investigators have even been able to pinpoint his address.
Ms Richards said: "For the first time, we are able to understand the kind of person Jack the Ripper was. We  can name the street where he probably lived; and we can see what he   looked like; and we can explain, finally, why this killer eluded   justice."
Never caught
Metropolitan  Police Commander John Grieve, who has worked with the team of experts,  believes the killer would have been caught if officers at the time had  this new information. "This  is further than anyone else has got," he said. "It would have been   enough for coppers to get out and start knocking on doors... they would have got him."
Dubbed  Britain's first serial killer, the Ripper is believed to have killed at  least five prostitutes in Whitechapel, east London, in 1888, but was  never caught. His  victims were stabbed, with some of the bodies badly mutilated and even having organs removed. Some believed he had medical training.
Celebrity suspects
The  pseudonym Jack the Ripper was coined from a letter sent to a London   news agency at the time of the murders, supposedly from the killer himself, but which police later dismissed as a hoax.
Suspects have included Lewis Carroll, Prince Albert Victor and Sir John Williams, obstetrician to the Royal Family.
Using  their experience of modern-day crime to examine 13 different witness   statements taken at the time of the killings, the team were left with a picture of someone Ms Richards described as "perfectly sane, frighteningly normal, and yet capable of extraordinary cruelty".
Mr Grieve added: "It's a popular misconception that nobody ever saw the murderer, that he just vanished into the fog of London. Well that's just not right. There were witnesses at the time who were highly thought of by the police. If  we were doing this investigation today, we could pool together all these descriptions and the kind of face that the police were clearly looking for. You could come up with a composite and you can go beyond just a full face, you can get something that really helps the police to look for   suspects."

Barneys Workers Feel Used as They March Store Toward Death
Tumblr media
A job at Barneys New York once represented a glimmering opportunity in a challenging retail landscape — the kind of chain where sales associates might work for decades, earning competitive salaries as well as commissions, while honing expertise in fine jewelry and designer apparel. But that reality evaporated soon after Barneys filed for bankruptcy last year and liquidation specialists took over its stores. Since November, employees at Barneys’ flagship at Madison Avenue and 61st Street have been in limbo, lacking basic information about the store’s closing date, severance pay and their benefits.Paychecks were delayed this month after what a company email said was a “cyber incident,” further stressing employees, who don’t know if their personal information was compromised. Many of the concerns were detailed in a letter filed on Tuesday to the judge overseeing the bankruptcy case from employees who have worked at Barneys for more than 20 years.Their worries are not only financial. The letter noted that security at the store has been lacking. Employees said in interviews that the bathrooms were dirty and that the television in the break room had stopped working. At one point, employees were sharing a single microwave, down from four, for meals. They were warned not to steal as the liquidation started.“We hope that making the court aware of what has been happening in what has become a disastrous execution of the liquidation and our well-being will help in some way,” said the letter by the group, led by Anthony Stropoli, a sales associate who joined Barneys in 1997. The letter said that the liquidation firm, Barneys’ remaining management and the workers’ union had been unable to answer their inquiries for a month.Barneys responded in a separate filing, and said it had only about $2 million to pay $4 million in severance obligations. Of that, $800,000 has already been paid out. While the $2 million was negotiated when Barneys was sold, the shortfall was not disclosed in public court filings. Five current employees, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were still hoping to receive severance pay, said the shortfall was also not disclosed to Barneys workers. They said the prospect of severance pay was the reason many employees have continued working since the bankruptcy sale.Barneys added that it did not expect the firm liquidating the remaining seven stores, B. Riley Financial’s Great American Group, to hit sales targets of at least $303 million, which would have resulted in an infusion to the severance fund of at least $2 million. Great American is not in charge of administering employee severance, pensions or benefits, according to a company representative. Before the liquidation started, Barneys employed about 2,300 people, 2,100 of them full time. The remaining seven stores, according to the company, are expected to close on or before Feb. 29, while the restaurant Freds will most likely close by Jan. 31.Barneys’ employees — some with decades of experience — are the latest workers to be squeezed by the churn of retail bankruptcies, as businesses struggle to keep up with the shift to e-commerce and grapple with poor management and disastrous private-equity deals. Already this year, Opening Ceremony, the high-end fashion retailer, said it would close its handful of stores, and Pier 1, which has been bleeding cash, said it would shut up to 450 of its locations. When bankruptcies result in major liquidations, as has happened at notable retailers like Payless ShoeSource and Toys ‘R’ Us, workers often end up participating in what is essentially the death march of their stores. The white-collar firms managing such exits need the employees for orderly transitions; many workers stay for promised payments, out of a sense of loyalty or because they are not yet sure of their next move.“You have to understand, there are people who worked for decades there, built a clientele and this actually helped build Barneys,” Mr. Stropoli said in a phone interview, emphasizing that he spoke on behalf of a much bigger group. “They need to know: Will I be out of a job the 15th, the 10th, the 8th?”The severance pay is also significant as workers look for new jobs, which may not pay as well as their positions at Barneys or require the same expertise.“It’s harder because I’m competing with about 400, 500 people from my building probably for the same job,” said Frank Elbling, a sales associate at Barneys for 16 years, who has started to send out job applications.“I’ve had some interviews over the phone and they want to offer around 30, 40 percent less pay,” he said, adding, “I can’t afford to do that.”The New York-New Jersey Regional Joint Board, which represents more than 600 Barneys employees, said it was filing claims with the bankruptcy court on behalf of members, in the hopes of extracting more severance pay.“The union has been in contact with representatives of both Barneys and the buyers to try to obtain as much information as possible so we can report it to our members,” Julie Kelly, general manager at the union, said in an email. “Unfortunately, Barneys has not provided clear information as to how much money will be available to pay severance claims.”She also said that nonunion employees might not have any right to severance.Despite a desperate search for alternatives, Barneys was sold in two parts in a $271 million deal last October. Its intellectual property went to the licensing firm Authentic Brands Group while its assets were bought by B. Riley. Store closing sales quickly started at the five full-price Barneys stores, two outlets and online. The unusual deal has made it difficult for employees to know where to direct questions. Barneys still has its own management team in place, though the company’s chief executive, Daniella Vitale, left almost immediately and took a job as chief brand officer of Tiffany & Company. (Ms. Vitale earned about $1.3 million between August 2018 and July 2019, according to court filings.)Other firms working on the case are M-III Partners, a consultancy, and Kirkland & Ellis, the law firm that worked on the Toys ‘R’ Us bankruptcy. M-III Partners declined to comment on the severance fund while Kirkland & Ellis did not respond to requests for comment.Barneys’ two stores in Manhattan are hardly recognizable these days. Employees said that Great American Group had brought in wares that were never sold at Barneys, including a large supply of rugs and merchandise with tags from Macy’s and Asos. Some have been relabeled and marked up, which can potentially be misleading for shoppers.“Some of it is from similar vendors but it looks like they cleaned out some of their warehouses,” Mr. Elbling said, adding that there has been an influx of mysterious rugs and furs. “We don’t sell that kind of stuff.”The representative for Great American said “the rugs and furs are supplementary inventory brought in to enhance the sale and generate additional customer traffic.” This person said that the firm did not purchase items from Macy’s or Asos for the sale. When visitors walk into the Madison Avenue store, they are greeted by four televisions announcing the sale and garish store closing signs covering the walls. Many of the floors were virtually empty on a recent afternoon. Some mannequins and display tables bear “sold” tags with the buyer listed as Saks. (Saks Fifth Avenue is licensing the Barneys name; the store’s website already directs users to the Saks site.) The downtown store was selling hardware like clamps for $3 last weekend.Eon Huntley, who has worked in sales at Barneys for the past three years, said he found the lack of money for his colleagues, particularly those who had worked there for decades, to be “appalling,” especially given the role they played in recent months.“They started the liquidation with very modest discounts so they were definitely reliant on associates and their clients and our relationships,” he said. “Knowing that, and knowing how people have spent their lives working and giving their time to this company, you’d think they would make sure there was something set aside for these people.” Read the full article

Introduction
The social construction of the criminal justice system is constantly changing; and as the media reports issues it constitutes the publics’ thoughts on said issue. Today’s media seems to have an awareness and interest around serial killers. The media has focused on males in the past, unaware female serial killers also exist. So when women are presented they become highlighted and documented more often and so it is difficult for journalists to shy away from this subject matter as they produce television programmes, documentaries, books and newspaper articles. In 2014/15, data was presented on women offenders, this data is from the England and Wales research and reported that ‘9 percent of homicide suspects were women, and in 19 percent of all recorded violent incidents the offender was a woman.’ (Quarmby, 2016).  So, the obvious expectations of women can be perceived as disturbed individuals. The relationships between male and female serial killers are becoming more well-known. Specifically, Myra Hindley and Ian Brady, Rose and Fred West, and Maxine Carr and Ian Huntley. These three women started engaging in calculated attacks after they had met their partners who they had as co-defendants. According to Yvonne Jewkes (2015) who explains that ‘the media’s solution to the problem of heterosexual women who appear to be equal partners, or at least go along unquestioningly with their men’s wishes in very serious crime, is to place the burden of guilt on their shoulders.’ This can be about the media portraying women who think they are in an equal relationship but in fact they are in a state of worship and are ‘controlled’ by their partners. The media’s coverage can evaluate why the world is becoming more known for viewing such disturbing topics like serial killers, as Siegal mentions here;
‘The cause of serial murder eludes criminologists. Such disparate factors as mental illness, sexual frustration, neurological damage, childhood abuse and neglect, smothering relationships with mothers, and childhood anxiety are suspected. Many experts view serial killers as sociopaths who from early childhood demonstrate bizarre behaviour such as torturing animals. Some are sadists who enjoy the sexual thrill of murdering and who are both pathological and destructive narcissists.’ (Siegel, 2016: 349).
This blog will analyse the way the media represents women serial killers and how they deviate from media expectations and how women can be portrayed in comparison to men; from being involved in the killings through manipulation, victimisation or simply being submissive. These gender related issues are shown to reproduce normative assumptions or what it is to be a ‘good woman’. Overall this will involve resources such as articles, books, images and audio clips. Also, it will include how psychological effects can be produced by the media and how this has influenced the public’s thoughts of women as serial killers. Moreover, how the crime that has been committed is exaggerated and how femininity and masculinity can be reconditioned depending on who the killers are.

2019 Best Night Vision Security Camera Buying Guide
Night vision goggles, binoculars, and monoculars are top choices of Hollywood and numerous well-known computer games. The possibility that we can find in obscurity is cool. Likewise in presence are night vision cameras which can be utilized for taking pics of evening time exercises, for example, chasing or climbing or utilized for security purposes. Here are a couple of tips to help you as you swim through the numerous higher-end night vision cameras that are accessible.
Age: Avoid purchasing a revamped or utilized night vision camera that is over one year old. The distinctions in quality between the ages of camera models are immense; Fred Flinstone's Buggy contrasted and another Dodge Charger! There isn't much anybody can do with the pace of progress, however, don't slow down yourself in the Stone Age by acquiring and as of now "old" camera.
Similarity: Most of the higher quality night vision cameras are perfect with both PC and Mac PCs yet not every one of them are. On the off chance that you are utilizing your night vision camera for security reasons, at that point, you may wish to watch the feed on your PC when you are grinding away or away. For this situation, the similarity is fundamental to your decision of the camera. Additionally, numerous cameras accompany the capacity to send a film to a DVR which might be helpful for you. So make sure that the camera you are considering can speak with every one of the gadgets you possess.
Tumblr media
Reason: As for cutting edge as our innovation may be, it is hard for one gadget to have the option to do everything great. So on the off chance that you are an evening time tracker and need to catch your triumphs on camera, you will probably buy an alternate model night vision camera than somebody who is worried about who is prowling about their distribution center during the evening.
Shading or Black and White: Contrary to what a few cameras may promote, the reality remains that lucidity of the picture is typically more clear in high contrast. Be that as it may, having the option to have the film in the shade of your stargazing or 12 PM climbs might be justified, despite all the trouble to you. Nowadays, it is conceivable to get quite great shading pictures from your night vision camera, yet you should pay for this.
Infrared (I.R.) Viewing Distances: There is an enormous contrast with respect to what a night vision camera will get plainly in "this present reality" and in a little room that is totally missing of light. So be careful about cases if IR lucidity until you comprehend the conditions of the case. For instance, if a camera professes to have IR review separations of 50 feet, does this mean in reality? This is significant in light of the fact that IR seeing at 50 feet, in reality, is truly great. This implies your camera will see something plainly from 50 feet away. A portion of the higher-end cameras has IR review separations of 100 feet. By and large nonetheless, realize that the IR survey separation cases are cheerful. Along these lines, if a camera claims 50 feet, this implies under the most perfectly awesome conditions, it can see something unmistakably at this separation. In any case, as a general rule, at 50 feet, the pictures will as of now be foggy. This implies the genuine IR review separation is progressively similar to 35 feet. In this way, remember how you will utilize your camera, and how close you will probably get to your subject.
Abusing the light range and making imperceptible light unmistakable to the human eye is entirely amazing. There are numerous makes and models of night vision cameras to look over. Make certain to take as much time as is needed and pick the camera that will do its best for what you need it to do.
