looking at you
when your movie date with Jeremy doesn't go how he planned, he has you put on a private show...not that you know he's pulling the strings
Jeremy Frazier x F!Reader
Rating: Mature/Explicit
Content warnings: nsfw, mdni, dubcon, stalking/peeping, mutal(?) masturbation, he calls you a slut
Author's note: This fic can be read as a follow up to forever or as a standalone. Jeremy is still a pervy creep and will continue to be one.
Word count: ~3300
Tumblr media
Jeremy loves looking at you. Honestly, it might be his favorite thing to do. He’s slyly watching you now, carrying yet another box of belongings up to your room. God you’re beautiful. He loves the way you puff out air to get a piece of hair out of your face when your hands are full. And the way you put your hands on your hips when you’re lost in thought. And not to mention how cute you are when you think no one is watching. How you dance around in your panties, singing into your hair brush. A little strip tease just for him.
He sees you pause and look down, then pick up a paper airplane. The note he sent your way moments ago, unfurling in your hand.
meet me at 7, bring popcorn - j
Your eyes dart to the window, searching. For him. But Jeremy is safe in the shadows, free from your gaze. He watches you shrug and draw the curtains. Not to worry, he’ll see you soon.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Jeremy is pacing next to his house. He’s waiting for you. It’s 6:58 and you’re not there.
Fuck what if you don’t show?
With your curtains blocking his view, Jeremy can’t be sure whether you’re coming or not. He glances at his watch: 6:59.
I’m such a delusional idiot of course y/n isn’t coming.
The chime of the bell tower begins, signaling the top of the hour. Jeremy runs a hand through his hair in exasperation.
What would you want with a pathetic, no good, murde-
The creak of a door startles him out of his thoughts. Head jerking toward the sound, he sees you.
The tightness in his chest evaporates instantly and he unclenches fists he hadn’t consciously made.
You look divine in the light of the setting sun. Jeremy’s eyes roam your figure, he notices you changed from what you were wearing earlier. The tight sundress hugs your upper body and is absolutely inappropriate for the October evening.
Jeremy feels a smug sort of satisfaction at the thought that you chose it just for him.
You clear your throat.
“Like what you see?” you tease with a giggle.
He chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand and gesturing at your dress with the other.
“What can I say, you make me speechless.”
Warmth rises to your cheeks as you smile shyly.
“Ummmm anyway,” you say, rolling your eyes. “I brought the goods.”
You produce a bag of pre-popped popcorn from behind your back.
“Skinny Pop?” Jeremy asks dubiously, quirking an eyebrow.
You shove his arm playfully.
“My mom heard somewhere that the microwave stuff gives you cancer or something,” you shrug.
“We wouldn’t want that, now would we,” Jeremy jests.
You swear you see a dark gleam in his eyes, like a wolf staring down a doe before striking. But upon blinking you’re left looking into the warmth of his brown irises.
“Soooooo, are we heading inside?” you ask, moving to walk toward the house.
Abruptly, Jeremy grabs your hand and halts you in your tracks.
You feel like you’ve touched a live wire as an initial cool jolt of electricity runs through your hand and arm, quickly fading to a warm tingle.
“Actually, I have a surprise for you,” he says with a grin, pulling you toward the backyard.
Turning the corner, you see a rustic treehouse glowing from within.
“Woah, a treehouse!” you exclaim. “I didn’t know this was back here.”
Jeremy watches you look up in awe. The lights of the house reflecting like stars in your eyes.
“Yeah, I come here to get away from everything,” he sighs. “It’s the only place I feel like I can really think, you know?”
Glancing up at him, you see a melancholic expression you know well and you give his hand a squeeze. “Yeah, I definitely get that.”
Jeremy lifts your hand, bringing your knuckles to his lips, he gives them a light kiss.
“Ladies first,” he murmurs, nodding toward the rungs leading up the tree.
Reluctantly, you relinquish his hand and begin the climb. Leaning against the trunk, Jeremy looks up to enjoy the view. Your dress flicking up, tantalizes him with each rung you mount. Squinting, he can almost make out the color of your panties. Jeremy makes a silent vow that he’ll know the answer by the end of the night.
When you reach the top you pause to gaze around the tree house. Its simple, worn wood was made enchanting - illuminated by fairy lights and the soft glow of a television. There was a nest of comforters and pillows on one side and an old CRT TV with a built-in VCR on the other.
Arms snake around your waist, seeming to appear out of thin air. Jeremy pulls you into him, pressing your back to his body.
“What do you think?” he whispers into your ear. His cool breath feels like the autumn breeze, leaving a trail of goosebumps down your neck.
“It’s beautiful,” you sigh.
Jeremy spins you in his arms, hugging your waist tightly.
“You’re beautiful,” he murmurs. Leaning down, he glances from your eyes to your lips and back.
You do the same, heart racing as you see his adam’s apple bob. Pushing up on your tiptoes, you almost close the gap between your mouths.
“Is this the part where we kiss?” you ask breathily, looking up at Jeremy through fluttering lashes.
He answers with action - a palm flat on your back, pulling you together. His lips are soft, but you feel the need, the urgency behind the kiss. You grip the front of his soft flannel in one hand, attempting to pull him even closer to you.
Jeremy groans into you, he loves knowing that you’re just as desperate as he is. Testing your limits, he nips lightly at your bottom lip. You let out a soft moan and Jeremy quickly swallows it, heart soaring at the sound. Threading your fingers through his messy brown hair, you feel a dizzying weightlessness.
Jeremy feels it too. Peeking his eyes open just a crack, he realizes the two of you are levitating.
Oh shit.
He pulls away, pressing his forehead to yours. Willing his rasping breath to come easier, he feels his feet settle back on the ground. In an attempt to keep your suspicions at bay, he pulls your body close in a tight hug before setting you down. You blink up at him, dazed. Leaning down, Jeremy kisses your forehead.
“At this rate we’ll never watch the movie,” he chuckles.
You settle into the blankets as Jeremy pops the VHS of Casablanca into the old television. As the tape slides into the machine, he sits next to you.
The title card appears in curly cursive script and the black and white film begins in earnest.
Leaning over you whisper, “I didn’t realize it was a classic!”
“I hope that’s alright,” he says, glancing over at you.
You nod vigorously and Jeremy chuckles, returning his attention to the screen.
“But the others wait in Casablanca,” the narrator’s mid atlantic voice bellows out. “And wait and wait and wait.”
Jeremy mouths along. He’s memorized all the movies in the house by now, and he’s always identified with that line. But now, he wonders if all this time he’s been waiting for you.
The two of you are sitting a respectable distance apart, as is you weren’t trying to swallow one another moments before. You both have one hand strategically placed in the space left unoccupied. Pretending to play with the blankets, a ruse to inch fingers closer and closer. Finally you touch, it’s a light, innocent brush. Over in a second. But the electricity is there again, sending a shiver down your spine.
Jeremy’s head snaps to you.
“Are you cold?” he asks.
Before you can reply, his flannel is off and he’s helping you into it. The worn fabric smells earthy, like fallen leaves and wet dirt. It’s an odd but comforting smell, and you pull it tightly around yourself.
“C’mere,” he says, opening his arms for you to snuggle into. And snuggle you do. Laying your head on his chest, you drape a leg across his hips. Jeremy wraps his strong arms around you, holding your body to his.
The two of you stay like this for a while, unmoving. Relaxing into the steady rise and fall of Jeremy’s breathing, you notice how cold he must be in only his t-shirt. Just as you start to feel guilty about taking his flannel, Jeremy begins to trace light circles onto the exposed flesh of your thigh. His touch is maddeningly gentle and leaves a trail of burning desire. Two can play this game.
You softly run your nails from his chest down across his stomach. Jeremy’s breath hitches as his muscles tense under your touch. He grips your soft flesh, squeezing your thigh tightly once before returning to those damn circles.
Biting back a moan, you turn your head to trail featherlight kisses along his collarbone, up his neck and to his adam’s apple. His cock twitches against your leg as Jeremy's wandering fingers trail up to cup your ass. You moan, playfully nipping at his jaw.
“You’re not paying attention,” Jeremy groans.
“I am paying attention, I promise,” you giggle. Shifting your weight to rub against his growing erection.
“I'll show you paying attention,” he growls.
Pushing back to sit up against the wall, Jeremy pulls you onto his lap.
You look so pretty perched there, with your hands resting on his chest, blinking those beautiful eyes at him. One hand finds its home on your hip, and he gently strokes your cheek with the other. He would do anything for you in that moment. If you said you wanted the moon, he’d spend eternity pulling it down from the heavens.
“Here’s looking at you, kid,” Jeremy whispers, in perfect time with the movie.
You giggle and your plush lips beckon his attention and grabbing the back of your neck, Jeremy pulls your mouth to his.
His aggression takes you by surprise, causing you to gasp. Jeremy wastes no time delving his tongue into your open mouth. You freeze at the sudden intrusion. Jeremy softly rubs his thumb along your waist, coaxing you to relax into the kiss. He nips and sucks at your tongue, swallowing the moans you spill as he grinds his hips up into you.
Jeremy snakes a hand up to your throat, squeezing gently and you practically melt for him. Arching your back, you break the kiss as you thrust your tits into his face. He releases your waist to take them gladly. Grabbing your soft flesh, he groans. You’re not wearing a bra.
My little slut.
Pulling at your nipples through the fabric, you gasp and squeeze your legs around his thighs. Claiming your lips once again, Jeremy decides it’s time to find out what color your panties really are. Grabbing a handful of your ass, he slowly pulls your dress up and up and…you pull away, panting.
You’re so beautiful with your face flushed and eyes dark, he thinks this must be a preview of what you look like when you orgasm and he can’t wait to find out. As he starts to pull your dress up even farther, you put a hand on his chest, halting his action. Turning, you look over your shoulder to see that the credits are rolling.
“Shit!” you laugh. “It’s over!”
Jeremy grabs the remote and dangles it from two fingers.
“It doesn’t have to be over if you don’t want it to…”
“Okay that’s true,” you giggle, “I'll actually watch it this time. I promise.”
You hold out a pinky to him and Jeremy links his long finger with yours.
“I won’t hold you to it,” he winks
Laughing, you roll off of his lap. He groans at the loss of contact.
“Is it okay if we don’t go any further tonight?” you ask, looking up at him with innocent eyes.
“Of course,” he sighs, cupping your face.
He gives you a light kiss on the forehead and you snuggle back up against him. Rewinding the movie, Jeremy finds the last part you remember.
What a fucking tease. He’s going to make you pay for this later.
You’re fully engrossed in the movie this time and Jeremy lightly plays with your hair. All the while he is dreaming up just what to do to get you back.
When the movie finishes you reluctantly sit up.
“I guess I should head home,” you yawn. “Unless you need help taking all this down?”
“Nah, I’ll take care of it later,” Jeremy replies. “Let’s get you home.”
Jeremy descends the treehouse steps first, something about being there to catch you if you slip. Hugging his flannel tight to your body, you carefully make your way down the rungs. When you near the ground, you feel Jeremy’s strong hands on your hips. He helps you hop down and you walk hand in hand back to the front of the house. When you near the edge of his yard, he pulls you into his body and presses his forehead to yours.
“See you tomorrow?” he murmurs hopefully.
“You know where I’ll be,” you laugh.
Leaning up, you press a soft kiss to his lips. Jeremy’s greedy hands want more. They want to drag you up to his room so he can touch every inch of your flesh. To give you pleasure you haven’t even dreamed of. Instead, he simply squeezes your hands before releasing you into the night.
He stands, unmoving as he watches you go. Once you’re safely inside, Jeremy slips up to his room.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Turning on your lamp, you look out your window at Jeremy’s room. It’s still dark.
He must be picking up the tree house.
Taking off Jeremy's flannel, you breathe in the scent of him when a sudden strange feeling comes over you. It’s like you’re moving on autopilot or something. Slipping your dress over your head, you saunter toward your full length mirror. You adjust it a bit, tilting and turning the mirror until the reflection is just right. Then you take a step back and get a good look at yourself. Almost naked, except for your red panties.
I thought they were red, a smug thought echoes in your head.
Your hand reaches for the flannel and you shrug it back on, thankful for its warmth. You must have forgotten to close the window earlier. Instead of shutting out the night air, your legs take you to the edge of your bed. Before you sit down, you slide your panties over your ass and down your legs, flicking them across the room at the mirror with your foot.
You don’t even have time to question the action before you’re settling down on the edge of your bed, spreading your thighs wide. You take a moment to admire yourself in the mirror, naked except for Jeremy's open shirt.
Such a perfect little slut, the smug voice taunts.
You want to argue, but your hand begins to lightly trace up your body. From your knee, up your thigh, ghosting across your stomach and resting on your breast. You squeeze, and it feels eerily similar to how Jeremy touched you earlier. The thought evaporates when you roll your hard nipple between your fingers. You fall back onto the bed, as your other hand starts toying with your clit.
----------------------------------------------------------------
He's done it. He never tried before, no one seemed worth the energy. But Jeremy has successfully possessed you. He isnt sure the power really reaches that far, so maybe it’s more like influencing you. But that means you wouldn’t be doing the actions he’s implanting in your psyche if deep down you didn’t want to…right?
The first thing he did was make sure he could watch you. He had you adjust your mirror so he can perfectly see you spayed out on your bed from the comfort of his desk.
And splayed you are.
Here’s looking at you, kid.
Jeremy was teasing his cock before, lighting stroking it as you disrobed. But now that you have two fingers poised to enter your tight wet pussy, he can’t hold back any longer.
He grips the base of his cock hard and groans, your cue to sink those fingers into your core. Jeremy’s hips stutter up into his fist as he hears a faint moan float through the window. He can see your hand moving faster and faster, hurriedly he speeds up his strokes. Desperate to match your pace. Your other hand snakes to circle your clit, causing your back to arch off the bed. Jeremy is hunched over his desk, eyes glued to your mirror. If he had an ounce of self respect, he may feel ashamed. Fisting his cock like a pervert to the little show he’s making you put on. But fuck, seeing you like this. His will being done so perfectly. It has to be right.
“Another finger baby,” he whispers.
And instantly you respond. The resounding moan you release knocks the breath from his chest. So desperate. So hungry. A sound that says your fingers aren’t enough. His cock pulses in his fist. He’s dangerously close, but so are you.
“Cum for me,” he huffs, fucking up into his fist in earnest.
You whine, thighs trembling as your fingers pump in and out of your core.
Fuck you’re perfect.
As you orgasm, his name tumbles from those perfect lips. If it had just been once, Jeremy could’ve convinced himself he’ imagined it. But then you cry it over and over, chanting his name like a prayer. He can’t hold back any more. With one final buck of his hips, Jeremy cums with your name on his tongue.
It’s the most intense orgasm he can remember. Maybe it has something to do with the semi-possesion, maybe it’s just what you bring out in him, but Jeremy swears he’s seeing stars.
When he finally comes down, he realizes he can’t sense you any longer.
Fuck.
He must’ve lost the connection. His heart is beating so fast, he can’t hear a thing. But he stares intently at your mirror. At your frozen form, still spread perfectly for him to see.
Then you stir.
----------------------------------------------------------------
You come to after what is maybe the hardest you’ve ever orgasmed. Definitely the best orgasm you’ve had with just your fingers. Why you didn’t grab your vibrator, you’re not sure. Groaning, you prop up on your elbow and look into the mirror. For a second you swear you see a pair of eyes shining back at you in the shadow of the reflection. Blinking, you sit up further. But the mirror is empty, reflecting only your open window.
A cool breeze dances across your exposed skin and you shiver, pulling Jeremy’s soft flannel tight across your body.
Jeremy…did I really just call his name when I…
You shake your head, dismissing the thought and get up to stretch out your tight muscles. Crossing the room, you go to close the window. Before you shut it, you lean out. The moonlight illuminates your form perfectly, naked save for that damn flannel. You can’t see him, but for some reason you think you can feel his gaze on you.
“Goodnight, Jeremy,” you giggle softly and you pull the window closed.
When the frame thuds shut, Jeremy finally breathes out a sigh. Shaking his head, he lets out a soft chuckle.
Playing with you is going to be so much fun.

Some things you should know before reading!
Since this is Squid Game, obviously this will contain murder and death, and other fun stuff. I don't know if I'm gonna add any smut, but if I do, please know that you are responsible for what you consume on the internet. If any of this makes you uncomfortable, please read with caution.
Also, Y/N will be around the same age as Gi-Hun, seven years younger than him. Just had to throw that out there because I don't want people thinking their age gap is huge.
Tumblr media
Prologue
The neon haze of Seoul shimmered in puddles of rainwater, broken by the occasional ripple of passing footsteps.
Y/N barely noticed the lights anymore. What once felt like the pulse of the city, the bright signs, the endless noise, had become nothing more than background to the heavy silence in her own mind.
Her stomach was empty, and so was her wallet.
She stepped off the last bus of the night, pulling her coat tighter around herself. Even though it was almost summer, Y/N felt safer in the confines of her coat. It was going to be another long night.
Y/N had lost track of how many times she had done this, getting off the bus after a long day of job hunting, her feet aching, her head throbbing, only to return home with nothing.
It wasn't that she wasn't willing to work. She would take anything at this point. But every job came with the same problem. The moment her past came up, the doors slammed shut.
Her resume didn't help. No college degree, no special skills. Just a long stretch of missing years that she could never explain. A factory job might have taken her if she were stronger. A hostess gig might have worked if she were younger. But she was past the age where men threw money at her just to smile.
Now, they just looked at her like she was used up.
She had tried to make ends meet however she could. Cleaning offices. Selling cheap accessories in a market stall. Temporary jobs that lasted a week before they let her go. It was never enough.
And now, she was drowning in debt.
Rent alone was over 2.4 million won. The electricity bill had been overdue for two months, and the gas company had already sent a final notice. But the worst of it was the loan shark.
But when she lost her last job, she had run out of options. The moneylender had smiled when she walked into his office, flipping through a stack of crisp bills like they meant nothing. She had taken just enough to survive, promising herself she'd pay it back quickly. But the interest had piled up faster than she could keep track. 115 million won. That was just this month. Next month, it would be even worse.
If she didn't pay, she knew what would happen.
The first time she was late, they sent a polite reminder. A simple phone call.
The second time, they sent a man to her apartment. He didn't hurt her, just stood in her doorway, smiling, asking when she planned to pay up. A subtle threat.
She didn't want to know what would happen the third time.
Tumblr media
Her apartment was a box, barely big enough for a mattress, a small table, and a rusted sink that leaked whenever she turned the faucet too hard. The walls were thin, and she could hear her neighbor arguing with someone over the phone.
She barely had time to take off her shoes before she heard the knock.
Her stomach twisted.
She knew who it was before she even opened the door.
Her landlady stood outside, arms crossed, eyes sharp and tired all at once.
"You're late again," she said.
"I know," Y/N murmured.
"I've given you enough chances." The woman sighed, glancing down the hall like she didn't want to do this. But she was a landlord, and landlords didn't care about sob stories. "If you don't have it by the end of the week, you're out."
Y/N swallowed hard. "Just give me three more days."
The landlady exhaled, staring at her like she was already gone. "Three days. That's all."
The door shut, leaving Y/N alone in the silence.
She let out a shaky breath and slid down to the floor, pressing her hands against her face.
She had three days.
And no way to come up with the money.
Hunger gnawed at her stomach, but she ignored it. She had one pack of instant ramen left, and she needed to save it. Maybe she'd eat it tomorrow. Maybe the day after.
Lying on the mattress, she stared at the ceiling, her mind racing.
Could she find another job in three days? Doubtful.
Could she ask someone for money? No one she knew had anything to spare.
Could she—
She stopped herself.
Her thoughts had started drifting toward that again.
She squeezed her eyes shut, willing herself to think of something else. But the memories crept in, uninvited.
She remembered the first time, when she was younger, scared, desperate. She had told herself it would just be for a little while, just until she got back on her feet. But 'a little while' had turned into years.
The men had been faceless back then, just transactions. They didn't care who she was, only what she gave them. And she had given everything, her time, her body, her dignity.
She had left that world behind. She had sworn she'd never go back.
But dignity didn't pay the rent.
And she was running out of choices.
She used to love Seoul. When she was younger, she had dreamed of coming here, of making something of herself. Now, the city just felt like a machine, grinding people down and spitting them out.
She thought of the businessmen in their suits, stepping over the homeless like they were trash. The college girls laughing outside cafés, sipping expensive coffee like life had never touched them.
She wasn't part of that world.
She had never been.
The night stretched on, endless and suffocating.
Eventually, sleep took her. But even in her dreams, there was no escape, just endless corridors of unpaid bills, empty wallets, and doors that never opened.
Tumblr media
The ramen barely filled her stomach, but Y/N forced herself to eat it slowly, letting the salty broth linger on her tongue as if that would somehow trick her body into feeling full.
Her apartment was unbearably cold. The gas had been shut off weeks ago, and she couldn't afford a heater. She sat curled on her mattress, wrapped in the thin blanket she had since she was a teenager. The fabric was worn, filled with holes, but it was the only thing she had left that reminded her of a time before life had become a constant struggle.
The knocking came just as she set down the empty bowl.
Not the landlady again.
This was different.
It was louder. Heavier.
A bad feeling coiled in her stomach.
She didn't move. Maybe if she stayed quiet, they'd go away.
The knocking turned into pounding.
"Open up, Y/N"
Y/N's heart stopped.
Kyung-ho.
The loan shark. The man who had given her that "loan" when she was desperate, and now, he was coming to collect.
She froze for a moment, the cold sweat creeping down the back of her neck. She could feel her pulse pounding in her throat.
She moved toward the door, slow, each step feeling like it took longer than the last. As she reached the handle, the knocking turned to pounding, vicious and unrelenting.
"Open up, Y/N." Kyung-ho's voice was calm, but there was an edge to it now. The patience was gone.
She hesitated for only a second, her fingers gripping the handle so tightly her knuckles turned white. When she opened the door, the moment she saw his face, she knew it was too late to beg for mercy.
His smile was cold, stretched thin. There was nothing warm about it.
Behind him were two men. Big. Unfamiliar. Their presence alone made the small room feel suffocating, their massive frames filling the doorway, blocking her escape.
"You've got a lot of nerve, Y/N," Kyung-ho said, stepping inside like he owned the place. His shoes clicked against the floor as he moved past her, his eyes scanning the dingy, cramped apartment. "I thought you understood how this works by now."
"I—I just need a little more time," Y/N stammered, trying to steady her voice, but the words came out thin, weak. She could feel her hands shaking at her sides, her breath coming in shallow gasps.
Kyung-ho chuckled, the sound cold and mocking. He turned to the larger man, nodding toward the small table in the corner. "Take a look around. It's pathetic, isn't it?"
Y/N's heart raced. "Please, just give me a little more time," she begged, her voice cracking.
The other man stepped forward, a mountain of muscle, and grabbed Y/N by the wrist, his grip so tight it felt like he might crush her bones. Without warning, he slammed her against the wall, the sharp impact knocking the breath from her chest.
Kyung-ho watched, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "You think we're stupid? That we don't know you're running out of time?" He stepped closer, looming over her. "You've been promising for weeks, and now look at you. You can't even pay the smallest of debts. You're useless, Y/N."
Y/N's pulse was a drumbeat in her ears as she struggled to breathe, her back throbbing from the impact. She tried to pull away, but the man's hand held her firm, his grip like a vice.
Kyung-ho reached into his jacket and pulled out a small knife. He held it up casually, spinning it between his fingers, his gaze never leaving her face. "This is your last warning, Y/N. You know what happens when people like you don't pay up."
She stared at the blade, fear flooding her chest. She had seen the bruises on people who had crossed him before. She had seen what happened when people didn't honor their debts.
Kyung-ho took a step closer, the knife held loosely in his hand, like a toy. "Next time, we won't just break your things. We'll break you."
With a sudden move, he grabbed her by the chin, forcing her to look up at him. His fingers dug into her skin, cold and merciless. "You think you can hide in this little hole of an apartment and just pretend everything's fine? No, Y/N. People like you don't get to hide."
The two men stepped closer, looming over her like predators closing in. One of them grabbed her arm again, twisting it painfully behind her back as she gasped.
"Get out," she croaked, but her voice was barely above a whisper.
Kyung-ho leaned in, his breath hot on her neck. "You're lucky I'm feeling rather nice today. I'll be back in three months. That's plenty of enough time to get my money.  And if I don't see my money... well, I'll make sure you regret it."
He slammed his hand into the wall beside her head, making her flinch, before stepping back with a satisfied grin.
The man holding her arm shoved her forward, sending her crashing to the floor. She lay there for a moment, gasping for breath, too terrified to move.
Kyung-ho's voice echoed in her ears as the door slammed shut behind them. "Three months. Get the money, or we'll be back."
For a long moment, Y/N didn't move. She stayed on the floor, her body aching, her mind spinning. She could still feel the cold press of the knife against her skin, the bruising grip of the man's hands, the weight of Kyung-ho's words pressing down on her.
She had three months.
And in three months,  everything could end.

Samad released Archie's hand and rummaged in his pocket, dabbing his finger into a repository of white dust he kept in there, slipping it discreetly into his mouth. He leaned against the wall and drew his fingertips along the stone. It was a tiny missionary church, converted into a hospital and then abandoned after two months when the sound of shells began to shake the windowsills. Samad and Archie had taken to sleeping there because of the thin mattresses and large airy windows. Samad had taken an interest too (due to loneliness, he told himself; due to melancholy) in the powdered morphine to be found in stray storage cabinets throughout the building; hidden eggs on an addictive Easter trail. Whenever Archie went to piss or to try the radio once more, Samad roved up and down his little church, looting cabinet after cabinet, like a simmer moving from confessional to confessional. Then, having found his little bottle of sin, he would take the opportunity to rub a little into his gums or smoke a little in his pipe, and then lie back on the cool terra-cotta floor, looking up into the exquisite curve of the church dome. It was covered in words, this church. Words left three hundred years earlier by dissenters, unwilling to pay a burial tax during a cholera epidemic, locked in the church by a corrupt landlord and left to die in there—but not before they covered every wall with letter to family, poems, statements of eternal disobedience. Samad liked the story well enough when he first heard it, but it only truly struck him when the morphine hit. Then every nerve in his body would be alive, and the information, all the information contained in the universe, all the information on walls, would pop its cork and flow through him like electricity through a ground wire. Then his head would out like a deckchair. And e would sit in it a while and watch his world go by. Tonight, after just more than enough, Samad felt particularly lucid. Like his tongue was buttered and like the world was a polished marble egg. And he felt kinship with the dead dissenters, they were Pande's brothers—every rebel, it seemed to Samad tonight, was his brother—he wished he could speak with them about the mark they made on the world. Had it been enough? When death came, was it really enough? Were they satisfied with the thousand words they left behind?
'I'll tell you something for nothing,' said Archie, following Samad's eyes and catching the church dome's reflection in them. 'If I'd only had a few hours left, I wouldn't have spent it painting pictures on the ceiling.'
'Tell me,' inquired Samad, irritated to have been dragged from his pleasant contemplation, 'what great challenge would you undertake in the hours before your death? Unravel Fermat's theorem, perhaps? Master Aristotelian philosophy?'
'What? Who? No… I'd—you know… make love—to a lady,' said Archie, whose inexperience made him prudish. 'You know… for the last time.'
Samad broke into a laugh. 'For the first time, is more likely.'
'Oh, go on, I'm serious.'
'All right. And if there were no 'ladies' in the vicinity?'
'Well, you can always,'—and here Archie went a pillar-box red, this being his own version of cementing a friendship—'slap the salami, as the GIs say!'
'Slap,' repeated Samad contemptuously, 'the salami… and that is it, is it? The last thing you would wish to do before you shuffled off this mortal coil is 'slap your salami'. Achieve orgasm?'
Archie, who came from Brighton, where nobody ever, ever said words like orgasm, began to convulse with hysterical embarrassment,.
'Who is funny? Something is funny?' asked Samad, lighting a fag distractedly despite the heat, his mind carried elsewhere by the morphine.
'Nobody,' began Archie haltingly, 'nothing.'
'Can't you see it, Jones? Can you see…' Samad lay half in, half out of the doorway, his arms stretched up to the ceiling, '… the intention? They weren't slapping their salamis—spreading the white stuff—they were looking for something a little more permanent.'
'I can't see the difference, frankly,' said Archie. 'When you're dead, you're dead.'
'Oh no, Archibald, no,' whispered Samad, melancholic. 'You don't believe that. You must live life with the full knowledge that your actions will remain. We are creatures of consequence, Archibald,' he said, gesturing to the church walls. 'They knew it. My great-grandfather knew it. Someday our children will know it.'
'Our children!' sniggered Archie, simply amused. The possibility of offspring seemed so distant.
'Our children will be born of our actions. Our accidents will become their destinies. Oh, the actions will remain. It is a simple matter of what you will do when the chips are down, my friend. When the fat lady is singing. When the walls are falling in, and the sky is dark, and the ground is rumbling. In that moment our actions will define us. And it makes no difference whether you are being watched by Allah, Jesus, Buddah, or whether you are not. On cold days a man can see his breath, on a hot day he can't. On both occasions, the man breathes.'
'Do you know,' said Archie, after a pause, 'just before I left from Felixstowe I saw this new drill they have now which breaks in two and you can put different things on the end—spanner, hammer, even a bottle-opener. Very useful in a tight spot, I'd imagine. I tell you, I'd bloody love one of those.'
Samad looked at Archie for a moment and then shook his head. 'Come on, let's get inside. This Bulgarian food. Turns my stomach over. I need a bit of sleep.'

What to Look for When Choosing a Cleanroom Solutions Provider
In sectors like pharmaceuticals, hospitals, electronics, and diagnostics, where hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable, choosing the right cleanroom solutions provider becomes a critical decision. A subpar installation can compromise not just product quality and patient safety, but also business continuity and compliance with regulatory bodies such as NABH, GMP, WHO, and USFDA.
Whether you’re setting up a modular OT in a private hospital, expanding a pharmaceutical unit, or upgrading a clean zone in an electronics plant, you need a provider who offers turnkey cleanroom infrastructure with deep domain expertise.
In this comprehensive guide, we will explore what buyers should look for in a cleanroom solutions provider, based on insights gathered from top-performing projects across India.
Why the Right Cleanroom Partner Matters
Cleanroom environments are highly sensitive and regulated. An error in design, materials, airflow control, or installation could result in:
Product contamination or rejection
Failed audits by NABH, GMP, or USFDA
Equipment malfunction
Costly retrofits or repairs
Delayed go-to-market timelines
Hence, your provider must offer not just components, but a fully integrated, future-ready solution—from design and engineering to fabrication and compliance support.
Key Factors to Consider When Choosing a Cleanroom Solutions Provider
1. Proven Experience in Regulated Sectors
Cleanroom construction is not like typical interior or civil work. It requires an understanding of environmental control, air changes per hour (ACH), clean zoning, and ISO classifications.
Choose a provider with verifiable experience in:
Pharmaceutical cleanrooms (GMP compliant)
Modular operation theatres (Class 100 or ISO 5)
IVF labs, ICUs, and diagnostic labs
Electronic assembly units (ESD-sensitive)
Food and cosmetic manufacturing clean zones
A provider with sector-specific experience will understand your industry's pain points and regulatory expectations.
2. Turnkey Capabilities
Is your provider offering only panels and doors? Or do they deliver end-to-end turnkey solutions?
Look for companies that can deliver:
Design & layout planning (AutoCAD/3D)
HVAC & AHU systems integration
Cleanroom paneling (PUF, HPL, SS)
Ceiling systems (walkable/non-walkable)
Flooring (epoxy, PU, vinyl)
HEPA filtration systems & LAF units
Electrical, lighting, and smart control panels
Validation documentation & compliance checklists
A turnkey approach ensures better coordination, single-point responsibility, and cost efficiency.
3. In-House Manufacturing Capability
Providers with their own manufacturing units for panels, doors, AHUs, and filters can ensure:
Faster project turnaround
Quality consistency
Custom-built components for unique site needs
Reduced dependence on third-party vendors
In contrast, contractors who only “buy and install” tend to lack control over timelines and quality.
4. Compliance With International & Indian Standards
Your provider should demonstrate strict adherence to major compliance standards:
NABH – For Indian hospitals and surgical units
WHO-GMP – For pharma and biopharma setups
USFDA & MHRA (UK) – For global export readiness
ISO 14644-1 – Cleanroom classification system
IEC & CE compliance – For electrical components and air handling units
Ask for certificates, project references, and third-party audit reports.
5. Technical Depth: HVAC, HEPA, and More
Air purity, pressure, temperature, and humidity control are central to cleanroom performance.
Ensure your provider has expertise in:
Air Handling Units (AHUs) – DX or chiller-based; single/double skin
HEPA Filters (0.3 Micron) – Terminal boxes, LAF units, and risers
Airflow design – Laminar flow, turbulence control, return air risers
Insulations – Thermocol, XLPE, nitrile rubber for Class ‘O’ fire ratings
Ducting systems – GI, SS, or aluminum with MS flange systems
6. Custom Engineering & Flexibility
Every site and use case is different. A good provider should offer tailor-made configurations, such as:
PUF panel thickness options (50mm / 80mm / 100mm)
Flush or glazed doors (single/double)
Manual or remote blinds for observation windows
Modular ICUs with nurse control stations
Touch panels to control lighting, oxygen, AHUs, etc.
Custom engineering ensures your cleanroom integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
7. Project Management & Installation Team
Ask about the team who will execute the job.
A competent turnkey cleanroom provider should have:
On-site engineers and supervisors
Skilled fabricators and installers
NABH/GMP consultants
Commissioning and validation support team
Also verify whether the provider offers pan-India support—a must for large hospital chains and pharma units.
8. Post-Installation Support & AMC
Cleanrooms need ongoing maintenance. Ensure the provider offers:
Preventive Maintenance Contracts (PMC)
Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)
Replacement filters, lights, and wear parts
Emergency breakdown services
Validation and documentation support for audits
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q1: How do I verify if a cleanroom provider is NABH compliant? Check for project case studies in NABH-accredited hospitals. Ask for documentation and site references.
Q2: What’s the difference between epoxy and PU flooring in cleanrooms? Epoxy is glossy, antimicrobial, and chemical-resistant—ideal for pharma and OTs. PU is matte, impact-resistant, and used in ICUs or food processing areas.
Q3: Are modular cleanrooms better than conventional construction? Yes. Modular cleanrooms are faster to install, easy to modify, and offer better contamination control.
Q4: How important is HEPA filtration in a cleanroom? HEPA filters remove 99.97% of airborne particles ≥0.3 microns. They are crucial for ISO-classified environments.
Q5: Can I get HVAC, cleanroom panels, and flooring from one vendor? Yes. Leading turnkey cleanroom companies offer all systems under one roof—design, manufacture, and install.
Final Thoughts: Build Clean with AUM Industries

Puddle Flange for Electrical Conduit in Concrete Walls – Explained
When electrical conduit pipes pass through concrete walls or slabs, they create potential paths for water to seep into indoor spaces or control panels. This is especially risky in basements, lift shafts, pump rooms, or outdoor walls exposed to rain or groundwater. The most reliable way to seal these penetrations is by using a puddle flange designed for electrical conduit.
In this guide, Udhhyog—a trusted name in manufacturing GI, MS, and SS puddle flanges—explains the purpose, usage, and benefits of installing a puddle flange specifically for electrical conduit in concrete structures.
🔌 What Is a Puddle Flange for Electrical Conduits?
A puddle flange for electrical conduit is a circular ring-like component that is fixed around the conduit pipe before it is embedded in concrete. Its purpose is to:
Prevent water migration along the outer surface of the conduit
Protect electrical wiring from moisture
Ensure long-term structural integrity in wet conditions
Unlike regular sealing methods (tapes or sealants), puddle flanges provide a permanent, mechanical barrier embedded in the concrete structure.
🛠️ Where Is It Used?
Basement walls and floors
Lift machine rooms
Water treatment and STP control rooms
External RCC walls exposed to rainfall
Underground electrical ducts
🧱 How to Install Puddle Flanges for Electrical Pipes in RCC Walls
✅ Step 1: Choose the Right Flange
Match the inner diameter with the conduit size
Use GI or SS puddle flanges for wet areas
For corrosive zones, prefer stainless steel (SS)
✅ Step 2: Fix the Flange on the Conduit
Position the flange at the point where it will pass through the concrete
Secure it tightly to prevent shifting
✅ Step 3: Embed the Pipe and Flange During RCC Pouring
Place the conduit in the RCC formwork
Pour concrete around the flange, ensuring full compaction and bonding
Use a vibrator to eliminate voids
✅ Step 4: Cure and Inspect
Allow proper curing
Inspect for gaps or water seepage at entry points
⚙️ Why Use Udhhyog Puddle Flanges for Electrical Applications?
Available in custom sizes for conduit pipes
Made from corrosion-resistant GI, MS, and SS
Designed with grooved edges for better grip in concrete
Ideal for use in compliance with IP65/IP67 electrical enclosures
Quick dispatch & bulk availability across India
❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
🔹 Q1: Can water seep through electrical conduit pipes embedded in concrete?
A: Yes. Without a puddle flange, water can travel along the pipe surface and enter interior spaces or control boxes.
🔹 Q2: What type of puddle flange is best for electrical use?
A: GI or SS flanges are ideal. SS is preferred for long-term performance in wet or chemical-prone areas.
🔹 Q3: Is sealant alone enough to stop leakage?
A: No. Sealants are temporary. A puddle flange forms a permanent bond with concrete, offering long-term waterproofing.
🔹 Q4: Can puddle flanges be used with PVC electrical conduit?
A: Yes, as long as the flange inner diameter matches the outer size of the conduit. Udhhyog offers sizes for PVC, GI, and HDPE conduits.

Who Is the Best Electrician in Romford? A Local’s Guide
When it comes to electrical work — whether it’s a simple repair, a full home rewire, or an emergency call-out — you want someone reliable, qualified, and trusted by the community. If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Who is the best electrician in Romford? ”, you’re not alone. With so many options available, choosing the right one can feel overwhelming.
Tumblr media
Why Choosing the Right Electrician Matters
Electricity is something most of us do not give a second thought to until something fails. But then, it’s not just frustrating — it can actually be hazardous. Bad wiring, old fuse boxes, or improperly installed appliances can truly endanger your property and your loved ones’ well-being.
That is why it’s worth employing a good, experienced electrician who knows their job. A great electrician doesn’t only solve issues — they prevent them from arising in the first place.
What Makes a Great Electrician?
When searching for an electrician in Romford or wherever, here are a few important characteristics to look for:
Certifications and Experience: Ensure they are NICEIC or NAPIT registered, and question how long they have been in business.
Local Reputation: Look for Google reviews, local forums, or Facebook groups for genuine feedback from previous customers.
Transparent Pricing: Reputable electricians provide honest, upfront pricing with no additional fees.
Emergency Services: Electrical problems don’t always occur within office hours, so having emergency assistance can be a lifesaver.
Tumblr media
The Advantages of Employing a Local Electrician in Romford
Local hiring has its benefits. A Romford-based electrician will be familiar with the locality, will be familiar with typical house layouts, and can usually answer an emergency call faster. They’re also likely to have a good reputation within the community, making it easier for you to verify references and obtain good recommendations.
And if you reside in the surrounding neighborhoods — like Hornchurch, Dagenham, Chadwell Heath, or Ilford — it’s reassuring that lots of Romford-based electricians also operate in these neighboring areas.
Electrician in East London vs. Electrician in Romford
If you’re choosing between hiring an electrician in East London or an electrician in Romford, consider how proximity affects service. While electricians in East London might have larger teams and broader coverage, they may not offer the same level of personalized service as a Romford-based provider who knows the community and can offer fast, friendly service just around the corner.
What About Electricians in Essex?
Essex has no shortage of electricians, but not all of them specialize in Romford and its surrounding boroughs. Hiring a Romford-local who also works across Essex gives you the best of both worlds — local insight with regional expertise. There are many highly-rated electricians in Essex who serve Romford, but it’s worth taking the search further to find those who are properly rooted in the Romford community.
So, Who Is the Best Electrician in Romford?
Though there are plenty of qualified professionals around, Frank and Sons Electrical Ltd. is always one of the region’s most trusted names. With years of experience, a committed team, and an excellent reputation for reliability and attention to detail, they’re become a top choice among residents and businesses alike.
Why Locals Trust Frank and Sons Electrical Ltd.:
Fully certified and insured
Transparent, honest pricing
Large portfolio of services ranging from rewires to emergency callouts

Common Challenges in GI Conduit Installation and How to Solve Them
Installing GI Conduit & Accessories may seem straightforward, but it comes with its own set of challenges. Whether you’re dealing with alignment issues, rust problems, or difficulties in bending the conduit, knowing how to tackle these obstacles can save time and effort. Let’s go over some of the most common challenges and how to solve them effectively.
1. Difficulty in Bending the Conduit
The problem: GI conduits are made of galvanized steel, making them strong but difficult to bend. If not done correctly, improper bends can damage the conduit or make installation harder.
Solution: Use a proper conduit bender to get smooth, precise bends. Applying steady pressure while bending helps prevent kinks or cracks. If manual bending is too difficult, consider pre-bent conduit sections from suppliers like Raiden Electricals for easier installation.
2. Corrosion and Rusting
The problem: Since GI conduits are made of metal, they are prone to rusting, especially in humid or outdoor environments.
Solution: Choose GI Conduit & Accessories that come with high-quality galvanized coatings for corrosion resistance. Applying an additional protective coating or paint can further enhance durability. In highly corrosive environments, opt for PVC-coated GI conduits.
3. Alignment Issues During Installation
The problem: Poor alignment of the conduit can make wiring difficult and may affect the overall safety of the system.
Solution: Before securing the conduit, always measure and mark the installation points accurately. Use proper supports like conduit clamps and brackets from Raiden Electricals to keep the conduit firmly in place and aligned correctly.
4. Challenges in Threading and Joining
The problem: Improper threading or loose fittings can cause weak joints, leading to instability in the conduit system.
Solution: Use high-quality threading tools to ensure clean, precise threads. Always double-check that the fittings and couplings are properly tightened. Raiden Electricals offers durable GI conduit fittings that ensure secure and stable connections.
5. Limited Space for Conduit Installation
The problem: In tight spaces, fitting and securing the conduit properly can be a challenge.
Solution: Use flexible GI conduits where needed, as they are easier to maneuver in tight areas. Additionally, choosing compact conduit accessories, such as slim clamps and small-sized junction boxes, can help optimize space usage.
6. Ensuring Proper Grounding
The problem: A poorly grounded conduit system can pose safety hazards, including electrical shocks and equipment damage.
Solution: Always connect the conduit system to a reliable grounding point using proper grounding clamps. Make sure all metal connections are tight and have low resistance to ensure an effective grounding system.

One of the things that had surprised her parents when Miyu had come out of detainment was that she still wanted to duel.
She probably wasn’t the same child as she had been six months ago. She was changed. Different. She was scarily fierce now, scarily competitive. She had this drive to survive that turned ordinary situations into life or death situations with the highest stakes.
That was an edge that her parents, and her therapists, really wanted her to walk away from. She was safe now. She could be happy now. But Miyu wasn’t so easily settled. She was restless. She had spent so long subsisting on so little - her memories of her dearest friend, protein pills and boxed milk, good food if she was lucky - that she couldn’t fathom not doing that.
So, she got into plenty of other hobbies, too. Anything to give her a coping mechanism that actually calmed her down instead of having her cortisol firing on all cylinders. She tried knitting and crochet, got better at drawing, took up journaling and in her teen years, microblogging but her heart stayed true to the ferocious resilience she had adapted to.
   Duelling.
And championship-level swimming but mostly dueling.
Anything that gave Miyu the thrill of the fight, a hard won victory and all the glory that entailed. That’s all that Miyu wanted at the end of the day. She lived, ate, and breathed competition.
Her parents gave her swimming but not Duel Monsters. At least swimming was a physical activity, not something she hunkered down over a desk at or glued her eyes to the screen. It was a good enough compromise but Miyu still loved it. Even if she had to be discrete about it regardless of if she was at home or at school. She got plenty of weird looks over her electrical scarring after all, no need to get those sticky-beaks all up in her business as a kidnapping victim-survivor.
So, even in her downtime, Miyu’s love of duelling found itself some way into her other hobbies. Mindlessly scrolling social media in her teenage years, of course she kept her eye on the competitive scene and she loved Charisma Duelists. She love, love, loved them.
   Total celebrity worship syndrome.
Of course, there was one Charisma Duelist that Miyu had her eye on above all others and this level of interest was absolutely a crush. Blue Angel. Gosh, what didn’t Miyu love about Blue Angel?
Blue Angel was… amazing. Just amazing. She duelling was flawless. Her burn strategy was lethal and yet she looked so good doing it, bouncing around in her wings and her petticoats, her frilly skirt and cute socks. She was so cute and free and happy. Yet wicked good. She was a good sport, too, her sense of competition was fair.
Not like how Onizuka was fair. Miyu really wasn’t into sandbagging and the heel stuff but she could respect it. No, Blue Angel was fair because she gave her all from the start and never had a bad word to say win or lose. Though, she was losing less and less these days. Good for her!
Miyu was obsessed. When she closed her eyes late at night, she had reveries all about Blue Angel. Meeting her, duelling with her, even doing something so naughty as D-Boarding with her, kissing her-
Miyu was incredibly and hopefully not creepily down bad for Blue Angel.
This, too, crossed-over with her aforementioned social media habits. Between school and swim meets, Miyu’s screen time was below average for the modern teenager but she consumed everything Blue Angel whenever she had time. She listened to her vods in the background whilst she did homework, saved memes and fanart centred on her when she came across it. She was in basically ever LinkBook fan club page there was on Blue Angel.
It was embarrassing but not as embarrassing as Miyu’s search history on a certain website. There was a serious lack of female x Readers for Blue Angel RPF. Ridiculous. Blue Angel could not be more obviously for the girls, gays, and theys, seriously, what were those writers on?
Miyu might have dabbled here and there to do something about this disparity. Not often and only ever anonymously but, like, c’mon, every teenage girl goes through this phase, right?
   And it's only ever a phase… right?
Miyu felt her stomach drop and her face go bright red. So much for a phase but they were right, the real thing was so much better than the fake one.
Miyu couldn’t believe her ears. There was a lot to take in. Ever since her coma, her normal life had gone out the window. Or well, her life that had been as normal as it could have been with her traumatic childhood incident.
Her parents had done everything in their power to help her. They got a divorce, they got her therapists, they had split custody, she could want for nothing. A roof over her head, food on her plate, an expensive private school and swim meets and an annual trip to Dizzy Land every year for her birthday. Anything to ease the guilt over losing her and to give her something to look forward to, so she would never feel trapped again.
Then the coma happened and it seemed all that hard work was for naught.
Though it came onto her just as mysteriously as it left her and now, all sorts of bizarre puzzle pieces were coming into place because someone she thought she would never see again returned to her: Aoi.
Aoi appeared out of nowhere, out of thin air almost and she had quite the story to tell. Miyu listened as she learned about all sorts of things that were so above her pay grade as the kind of student who floundered in any class that wasn’t sport or art. She learned the reason why she had been kidnapped and what that data had culminated in. She learned of artificial intelligence with free will. Cyber terrorists and the billionaires behind SOL Tech.
She learned that her long-lost childhood friend had gone on to becoming her celebrity crush.
Awe and confusion turned to mortification as that little detail was what had Miyu’s head spinning the most.
“Miyu… are you okay?” Aoi asked. Then she cursed herself for it, “Of course you're not, that’s a lot to take in.”
Miyu’s mind raced with hundred of thousands, if not millions, of words read about Blue Angel. Casual imagines, long-fic, one-shots, plotty fic, smutty fic. Stories she had read here and there, stories that had kept her reading until the crack of dawn in her bed, rolled over on her phone and with her eyes begging for sleep.
All of it about… about… her Zaizen Aoi. Not Blue Angel.
“I think I’m going to be sick.” Miyu croaked, embarrassed.
Aoi flinched, “Should I call a nurse?” she exclaimed.
She tried to get to her feet but Miyu stopped her. She grabbed her by the wrist and shamefully hung her head. Aoi stiffened but paused. She looked down, confused by Miyu who looked miserable. She was sweating bullets at this point and was going green.
“Aoi…” Miyu mumbled. “I’ve had a crush on you for… forever and a day, please believe me.”
Aoi blinked and tilted her head. Cautiously, she lowered herself back onto Miyu’s hospital bed. The linen was stiff and the most pristine white that Aoi had ever seen. Miyu still hadn’t let go and by now, Miyu was panicking.
“I’m so sorry, I have read like a zillion Blue Angel X Reader fanfics about kissing you.” Miyu confessed. “Please don’t hate me!”
Aoi’s face turned blank. “Ah.” She blinked again. “I see.” However, after such inarticulation, began to laugh.
“Please don’t think less of me!” Miyu squealed, trembling now with embarrassment.
“Oh, Miyu, I… I think it’s cute actually, I-I’m glad you never forgot me.” Aoi laughed.
Miyu ascended. She didn’t know if she had reached some brand new bottom basement of embarrassment or if this was actually the Wattpad dream come true. It was the most unusual torture to loathe being on cloud nine.
Aoi sat down closer, she cuddled in and she caressed Miyu’s face. Miyu forced herself to look up. She didn’t feel very hot and sexy right now, like those stories had promised she would feel. Instead, she just felt mortified and messy haired.
“Well then… I better make this count for you.” Aoi murmured.
She leaned in and their noses brushed against one another. Aoi caressed her face. Her hand was scrawny and gentle. Miyu was chilled to the core by the out of the blue affection and yet, oh so warmed by Aoi’s spearmint breath. She looked deep into Miyu’s eyes.
“I’ll tell you the truth,” she whispered, “I’ve looked up those fanfics out of curiosity too and um, there was this one writer, I liked. Never finished this multi-chapter about a youth olympian reader insert-”
“I am actually done for.” Miyu exclaimed. “Th-That’s my fic.”
Aoi let go of Miyu and pulled back before exploding into laughter. Miyu groaned into her hands. This was the worst day of her life. Put her back into the fucking coma at this point but at the same time… Aoi’s laughter was the best sound in the world.
So, Miyu sighed and she looked up from her sheets. She put on a brave face and forced a smile. Just like she did as a kid.
“C’mon, do you want to help me write that ending?” Miyu flirted, embracing the cringe since she was well and truly past the point of no return with it.
“I’d love to.” Aoi said and they tried again. Mutually this time. Aoi wasn’t the sole one leaning in, Miyu did the same and they cupped each other’s faces. “I was always holding out for a happy ending after that slow burn.”
“Me too.” Miyu replied as she and Aoi kissed.

Six Budget-Friendly Tips for Backyard Remodeling
Tumblr media
Here in Las Vegas, backyards don’t run big. Although it is rare to see the vast landscapes of the Midwest outside of your backyard doors, that doesn’t mean you can’t transform your space into a luxury retreat. A backyard remodel doesn’t have to cost a lot. We have six ways to make your backyard a welcoming space that reflects your style.
Lighting
Lighting is a key part of setting the mood in your backyard. Outdoor lights are now available in LED form, so you can have a lot of fun with lighting and not spend a lot on your electric bill. A little lighting can make a big difference in your backyard renovations.
Borders
Garden borders are something that garden magazines don’t often highlight but are always there. A small stone border can make even the smallest garden look more organized and professional. Also, adding a border to your walkways will give it a classy touch. There are many options for what materials you can use. We’ve seen bricks and stones, grass, and even wooden borders.
AC Unit Cover
Imagine a perfect backyard with lush gardens and cute fountains. Maybe even lawn furniture to lounge on. Is your AC unit compatible with this space? Although air conditioning is essential in Las Vegas, the grey boxes can be problematic in your landscape. This can be fixed with a few pieces of wood and a hammer and nails for less than $100. To add style to your AC, create a small fence surrounding it.
Flower Boxes
Whether you have grass or desert landscaping, pops of color are always appreciated. Planter boxes can be made from old pallets and simple plywood. Then, you can fill them with beautiful seasonal flowers. You can attach the boxes to your fence if you have limited space. Flower boxes keep the critters away and make it easier to tend to them (no more kneeling!). Line your flower boxes with a liner or use a water-resistant ceramic poter to keep the wood from deteriorating.
Berms
A berm is a fancy term for a mound. Berms can break up monotonous areas like a large grass area. You can add interesting plants to your berm using quality soil or mulch. We recommend planting a few seasonal flowers with small trees or hardy bushes to keep your yard interesting.
Furniture
Your outside furniture should reflect your personality, just as your home. You don’t have to settle for boring patio furniture. Choose a style that complements your landscaping and is comfortable. A popular option is to choose reclaimed wood for your seating. You can add different colors, pillows, and cushions to make your backyard more seasonal.
