What gets me about the narrative possibility of Harriet being cursed when you encounter her at the door is imagine being Sophie in that situation:

That made me think that every character on Koholint was created and written by the dream god

It chose for Marin to fall in love with link

It chose to let her know that it was a dream

It chose to let the monster be somewhat aware of the dream

It chose for link to traverse the island and have to collect the instruments

It chose for link to see an appearance of it called the wind fish

It chose to make koholint disappear

It had full control

Every thought every single decision made by all characters

The god is the writer of the story

But if Marin appears in the war of eras how can it be

Because the god chose for her to appear and help win the war

It chose the stakes it chose the characters to appear

It already had chosen who lives and who dies in the war

It chose for link to realize that everyone around him was a dream

Opening twitter to look at fanart has been a mistake because holy shit people just. Choose a narrative and run with it.

While i think the story of the costume set is very much up to interpretation (god knows i ignore SO much of that canon in favor of something i personally find more interesting), im baffled by the fact that some people genuinely think Sage is evil? And not in a "Itd be fun as hell if he was evil" way but in a "Its CANON to the story that hes evil" WHEREEEEE

Sage doesn't force the Truth on people. He literally offers his students an opportunity to ask questions, to be curious. He believes that rejecting the Truth is a futile effort, not because he wants everyone to adhere to his worldview, but because he sees every single belief we hold as a personal Truth. So running from it is like running from oneself, burying oneself in ignorance

Sage knows the Truth hurts ("Truth, thou art a cruel one"), and he explains to Recluse that he has also been like him at some point. Broken and terrified and running from what is right. But he realizes that despair is not the way towards happiness. One cannot change the Truth, merely accept it. And by accepting it, learn to live with it. THATS what he explains to Recluse. He literally states that Truthless has his own morals. That even now, at his lowest, when he has denounced all Truth, he still lives by it. So in a way, he brings hope back to the other
