Hugo people, I have a proposition for you

Hugo being really good at hand to hand combat. Like it doesn’t look it but when he gets into a fight and suddenly he’s like a mix between black widow and spike, specifically form these clips

Cause remember! He grew up on the streets of Invarr then worked in the Invarrian mafia with Donnella, the leader of said mod, being his mentor. Man can fight.

Not only that but he’s really good with coming up with improvised weapons on the spot and can do it in any clothes or shoes. Like I would not be surprised if Hugo could just John Wick a room of people

He can also do all of it in heals and can definitely do the black widow leg-body spin.

I've always wanted a spear. No practical reasons. Just because they're cool. And a primary weapon of the ancestors I think are also cool. I have much more efficient tools for any job that might necessitate a spear, but there's an appeal and PRESENCE that you just don't get with anything else.

And honestly, the way things are going? A post apocalyptic wasteland in which a good spear is VERY practical seems a more probable scenario by the day... I digress. Tuckin' that'n in my pocket for a writing prompt another day though.

Anyway! After years of struggling to justify this purchase, I had two dreams in less than a week in which I wielded the everloving buhjeebus out of a spear in "last stand" type circumstances in the course of protecting refugees of some kind.

Another plausible scenario unfortunately.

Totally tracks. I was also really impressed with how effective it was. I remember thinking during the melee that "Holy shit! I can stack em with this thing! I'm going to take way more with me than I would've guessed!"

Naturally that was all nudging from the universe I needed and finally, FINALLY ordered one.

Of course I have to make it my own.

So I used the opportunity to make a statement about the sacredness of the runes and profound ancient scribblings in rafters that some folk take waaay too seriously.

Kimi to Idol/You and Idol Precure teaser trailer thoughts

Yesterday was the release teaser trailer for the upcoming Precure season You and Idol PreCure.

I am really excited for this season of PreCure, mainly because this will be my first time diving in more into the PreCure series as a whole as I'm continuing watching the OG series futariwa PreCure.

There's so much to discuss but I will keep things to a minimum once the episodes come out in February.

1.) Characters ❤💙💜🎀⭐🎤

We're starting off with three main cures and their cure names are based off of certain poses and catchphrases that Idols do when they're on stage, which is quite an interesting idea. Our main character is Sakura Uta as Cure Idol (Pink cure), secondary cure Aokaze Nana as Cure Wink (Blue cure) and our third member Shigure Kokoro as Cure KyunKyun (Purpule cure).

From the teaser trailer we see that Uta is going to be an upbeat character who's full of optimism, as she likes to sing to help face her problems head on. Not much is known about Nana and Kokoro, as from what I've read on the wiki it states that Nana plays the piano and Kokoro is good at dancing with upbeat personalities.

I hope that we get another trailer soon so that we can see a little bit of their personalities head on.

Which brings us to our marketable plushies of the season Purirun and Meroron. I really like Merorons design with the pink and black, it's more eye catching than Purirun who looks okay for the most part but doesn't stick out as much.

2.) Story 📖 ✏

The story synopsis is simple but it's very straight to the point when you think about it. Purirun comes from a world called Kiraki land that's been overrun by our villains for the season called the Chokkiri gang lead by their leader Darkine (really? Darkine??? Thats the villian name they chose??)

As stated it's very straight to the point on who the villains are and want to do evil things. So far we don't know why the evil group is doing what they're doing but only time will tell. And from the teaser trailer we didn't see Meroron with Purirun. I don't want to go too deep into theories but from the looks of Meroron she would pass on to be an evil creature turned good through Uta's power of song in the first two episodes.

3.) To Combat or Not to Combat? That is the question! 🧐🤔🤺

One of the biggest discussions amongst precure fans is whether or not this season of precure will have hand-to-hand combat or chase action as their main action piece for the season.

Hand-to-hand combat has always been a staple in any magical girl show, but sometimes not all magical girl shows have hand-to-hand combat and use Magic as a solution to solve the problem / monster of the week, or use Chase action to connect with the monster or villain of the week using said magic to keep the narrative going with excitement and emotion.

Because this season is going to be focusing on idols and singing, my guess is that if they are going back into the hand-to-hand combat action scenes I would see it be similar to symphogear.

Symphogear is a show that is very popular for utilizing singing and hand-to-hand combat in their show not only giving us high octane fight scenes, but most importantly the songs themselves speaking through the heart of the characters that develops their narrative.

It'll be shocking if idol Precure decided to go with this strategy to help emphasize the story to help lay out the narrative for the characters, and their struggles, connecting them on an emotional level while throwing hands with the monster of the week.

But what if they decide not to do that? Then I would believe the writers will have to do another Chase action segment in the season but instead of chasing the monster, they would have to sing to the monster kind of like a battle of the bands when you think about it.

Or if we really want to make comparisons, it would be similar to Mermaid Melody where they use the power of song to enhance their magic, and the more Magic they produce from the audience the more they become powerful to heal the monster or defeat the monster in a flashy explosion.

Honestly I do hope we get some type of Battle of the Bands type of action in the show because that would be so cool to see the idol cures go up against Monsters singing their hearts out on the stage. And even though I would prefer this over Chase action, I think the symphogear approach is also good as like I said it helps enhances the fights while giving us a good songs to keep the excitement going.

4.) 🎀 Overall 🎀

Like I said in the beginning of this post there's just so much to discuss about this new season and the many theories I want to explore just from the story synopsis and character descriptions alone, but we would be here all day and I'm already having lack of sleep from the past few days so I'll stop for now.

I'm actually really excited for this new season! So I hope whether or not my predictions may come true, I hope that the first episode will leave an interesting first impression. Can't wait for February!

Darth Maul: A New Dawn Chapter 16

Ducking behind a shattered wall, Bo-Katan took a moment to catch her breath. The sound of a jetpack igniting reached her ears, and she instinctively rolled out of the way just as a Commando's vibroblade struck where she had stood moments before. Scrambling to her feet, she faced her assailant—one of Maul's elite.

"Traitor!"

Bo recognized the voice of the maroon red and black armored Mandalorian before her. "Rook," now back on her feet, the two former friends glared at each other. "I serve Mandalore and its people, not a Sith Lord who would simply use our people as pawns only to discard them when they've served their purpose."

"No. You just couldn't accept that Maul won the duel between Pre Vizsla honorably, fairly!" Rook rebuked before activating her jetpack and tackling her former friend into a nearby building.

Both Mandalorians went through a large window and crashed on the ground before quickly getting back up to fight each other. As Bo-Katan clashed in martial combat with Rook Kast, the air crackled with tension and the weight of their shared history. Once close friends in the ranks of Death Watch, they were now sworn enemies, their paths diverging as they followed different ideals and futures for Mandalore.

Their battle echoed through the chamber, a stark reminder of the rift that had torn their friendship asunder. Bo's eyes were blazed with determination as she faced off against Rook, her former ally turned adversary. Each warrior saw the other as a traitor, a betrayer of their shared past and the values they once held dear. With each strike and parry, the intensity of their battle grew, fueled by the bitterness of their fractured bond. The room seemed to shrink around them, the conflict between them consuming all other thoughts and emotions. Bo-Katan and Rook were locked in a deadly dance, their movements precise and calculated as they sought to gain the upper hand and emerge victorious.

As they circled each other, their eyes locked in a fierce gaze, though neither could tell due to the helmets over their heads. Bo knew that this battle would determine more than just their personal vendettas, the outcome would shape the future of Mandalore and determine the path that their people would walk in the days to come. With a steely resolve, she prepared to face her former friend in combat, knowing that only one would emerge from this clash alive.
