Just vanished, like thin air, like a dream he remembered so greatly but couldn't get back to it. And here they were, beautiful, stunning, gorgeous, breathtaking. Should he walk over there? He shortly falls back into conversation with the blonde, that's until Venti moves and Ardy finds himself straightening his whole posture.

"Potentially there is a portrait aging for me back at my place, hidden away from public eyes." The lighter left his pocket quickly, because indeed it was there. Always sitting heavy, waiting to be used while the god himself wasn't smoking. His features softened a little, since it was Venti who made the first move on him now, allowing for him to give him the attention. "Fate seems to bring you back to me in unexpected times." His smile is fond while the lighter falls back into the pocket of his pants, a hand lifting to stroke some hair out of their face. "Nothing here compares to your beauty."

there's something to be said about seeing your ex across the room at a high brow, avant garde party with an exclusive guest list. 6 billion people on this earth and he is the one to receive an invitation. venti thinks it's a little romantic. a little tragic. overwhelmingly infuriating.

"shit," venti curses under their breath and wipes their nose clean. the dreadfully boring experimental film director they've been chatting up is abandoned. no reason to play around now. no reason to schmooze. ardy always brings out the rawest scraps of their flesh. everyone will know the depth of their desire by the end of this.

maybe it's the drugs. maybe they just need someone beautiful to light their cigarette. the last time they saw each other was in france during the school of paris craze. it was a whirlwind affair where they made love until the sun rose. venti was gone by the afternoon. they wonder if ardy had ever finished that painting. that was back when venti still wore colors.

"art wishes it aged as well as you, darling," venti purrs as they approach him. puts a cigarette between their teeth. they know ardy has a lighter. he always keep one on him for things like this. things-- venti's vices. @rainyearning
