A very, very roughly sketched, unedited scene that wouldn't leave me alone this morning and demanded to be written (....oh hey @queer-ragnelle! I accidentally made a Lusty Month of May / May Day Parade contribution!):
The week they arrive at Sorelois. Perhaps even the day. Guinevere is half-mad with rage and grief, reeling from Arthur's betrayal, the loss of her marriage, of her court. It's the usurping of her entire life.
It makes her bold. It makes her want to be cruel. It makes her want to strike back or to take what she wants or to rebel in some small or large way. It makes her want to hurt Arthur in turn, or transgress since she has already been spurned from society and convicted for something for which she's innocent.
"There is something I wish to see," Guinevere says, there in the somber quiet of the receiving room with Lancelot, Galehaut, and Lady Bloie of Malehaut. An announcement to the air, undirected.
Lancelot responds first, of course, as expected. He kneels before her, the picture of earnest devotion. "Whatever you wish, my queen, I will strive my utmost to bring it to you."
Across the room, towering nigh to the ceiling even leaned against the wall as he is, Galehaut watches her with a carefully neutral expression. Unblinking, unsmiling, and there's the barest tightening around his eyes. He is wary of her still, and senses her mood.
The Lady of Malehaut is a different kind of unreadable entirely, lounging next to her with a spot of embroidery to keep her clever hands busy. Her full mouth is always a breath away from smiling, like she carries with her a trove of private amusements at all times. She observes from beneath half-lidded eyes, her needle flashing through cloth more by touch than sight.
Guinevere lifts her loyal knight's chin with a touch of her finger. His lips part, eyes wide and wondering. She smiles. "I want to you to give Galehaut a kiss."
Ah, if only she dared to watch Galehaut's expression in that moment! Yet she must keep her focus on Lancelot. His face pales. His breath catches in his throat. His pulse thrums against her finger like a trapped and frantic bird. "M-my queen?" he stammers, gaze darting side to side as if for an escape.
Her smile sharpens, serpentine. "Do you not wish to?"
"I— I am not—" He's breathing rapid and shallow now, on the edge of panic. It's a pretty quandary she's put him in, one with no known safe answer, and he's reeling under it.
(She feels more steady by the moment, her control re-establishing in the small sphere she still possesses.)
Galehaut steps forward. There's the edge of fury in his warning, in the creak of leather and the rattle of maille. "My lady," he rumbles.
Now Guinevere looks his way, and she lifts a graceful eyebrow at the storm in his countenance. Lancelot quivers beneath her touch, unmoored by the loss of her pinning gaze. "Will you tell me truly that you don't want this, Galehaut?"
He halts. His jaw works; the stormclouds thicken. He glares, proud and silent.
Guinevere laughs. It's a free, bell-like sound—as playful as a day a-Maying. Lancelot stills and his breathing steadies, soothed by her apparent merriment. She makes a show of taking pity on him, releasing his chin to stroke his cheek. "Do you wish to kiss me?" she murmurs, leaning closer.
His breath catches again, no different than before. He nods.
She kisses him, sweet and soft; he returns it with a small desperate sound against her lips. (It tastes like power.) He's breathless when she pulls away, and she smiles down at him, indulgent. "I know Galehaut desires a kiss from you as well," she says, "and he is the one who brought us together, yes?"
Another nod, and Lancelot seems more dazed than panicked now. Swaying towards her, and glancing shyly towards his boon companion, who draws a sharp bracing breath.
"It is not as if he's a lady," she says with a wink. "So it is not being untrue to me. And it is my request, is it not?"
"Y—yes, my lady...?"
"Do you not want to kiss him?"
"I..." Those expressive eyes flicker from her lips to Galehaut's and back again. His breath quickens again, but this time it is a little less panicked. "My lady, you ask hard questions," he says at last, helplessly.
She laughs again, darkened with satisfaction. "Kiss him, then," she commands, "and then tell me if you want to do it again."
"My lady," protests Galehaut, strained—oh, and there is longing so sharp that it is agonized, bare and naked in every rigid muscle and the aching furrow of his brow. He looks at Lancelot like a man starving. He looks at Guinevere like a man betrayed.
To give Galehaut what he so desperately desires, when he knows it is something she can take away at any moment? To receive a kiss from his Lancelot, but only on the order of Lancelot's lover-queen? For Galehaut to touch his companion in the way he desires, but only so long as Guinevere allows it, never knowing truly if Lancelot would have initiated on his own, never being certain of Lancelot's desire?
It's a power like none she's ever wielded before.
Lancelot stumbles to Galehaut on unsteady legs with a last hesitant glance over his shoulder. Guinevere smiles encouragingly and nods her approval. One last nudge—and still, Galehaut could refuse Lancelot. Galehaut is sworn to neither Guinevere nor Arthur; he needs not obey her. Galehaut could save the last unconquered edges of his heart and maintain this last barrier of distance. He could still refuse himself what he wants so badly.
Galehaut tenses, and Galehaut wavers, and Galehaut's heaves great draughts of air as if he's in the thick of a melee.
Lancelot reaches out, and Galehaut surrenders.

FOR REALLL RE: WHEN MATT ASKED IF ANYONE WANTED TO DO ANYTHING. And then, when they went to Keyleth and Orym said "we want to be useful in the downtime"... my jaw fucking dropped. You all JUST got back from aeor, and right before that you got back from the moon - where your friend fucking DIED. No one wants to process any of that??
From how Matt had framed it, the feywild meeting between Ludinus and the Unseelie was an optional mission they could have delegated to NPCs, yet they jumped right into it with no prep or plan.
[And ohhh, the instant amnesia about why they were there. It was like they completely forgot the intent of the mission, and when Dorian raised that point ("is this what we are here for? To fight?") They all just shrugged and acted like there was no other choice!] I love them all dearly, so my frustration is borne of concern (they just walked into a HUGE fucking fight they are ill prepared for), and I am TERRIFIED Fearne will die now because of it. But also, I wonder - do they even want to be in this campaign anymore?
The way they keep rushing forward...maybe it's bc they've been conditioned by the rest of this campaign's pacing. Part of me feels it's Orym. This whole campaign it's felt like he's been using his pushing attack on the team. [Telling them early on (ep 30s) they need to promise him to be better together, forever reminding them of the ticking clock which means they need to get to Yios, to the malleus key, to reunite post-solstice. Then, an hr into the reunion: they need to keep going to address things "fast and fully". They need to get to Keyleth, to the moon, to stay on the moon even if it's risky bc "it isn't a vacation." Oop Letters died, but let's get back to keyleth, now we need to go to aeor, back to keyleth, and after all of that...well they need to "be useful in the downtime"! That might be too uncharitable? I don't know.
Above the table, I think they are all overworked from making two animated series, running a company, and their professional work outside of CR. It seems like too much. Like they need a break, and maybe subconsciously are running headlong to the finish so they can finally have one. I don't begrudge them that, but it does make me sad for these specific characters that they've been so constrained by the plot.]
yeah for sure, the campaign is sharing space with a million other responsibilities when it used to be The Flagship the single most significant project they were working on. i think it's very likely that both animated series are perceived as a higher priority than the campaign now given the budget, wider audience, etc. which just kinda sucks when the campaign also requires the highest level of emotional and time investment out of all of those projects
orym has definitely played a role in the Always Business No Pleasure vibe of the campaign but i guess i hesitate to put that much blame on him, i think the overall story has been go go go and orym is largely a reflection of that. but also i do agree that it certainly isn't helping and many ppl have made more eloquent posts than i ever could about the space his grief has been allowed in comparison to other aspects of other characters and how that has affected the party and the campaign overall
i really do wish they could've taken this week to recuperate, do something for themselves. literally anything. go shopping. any loose ends they would want to tie up before going into a battle to the death. but they either don't have connections to outside npcs or those connections simply aren't prominent enough. relvin, milo, birdie and ollie, family in zephrah, dariax, etc.? anyone?? imogen v. groon battle was sitting right there? and i just don't understand the necessity of adding in this ludinus unseelie situation it seems like something extraneous that the story could've gone entirely without and now it's just another Thing they have to do?
ANYWAY just struggling a lot about all these things! having a great time!!

Wow how do u get the motivation to study like this?
I actually get this question a lot, so I’ve tried to put some tips together that help me to stay concentrated for as much time as possible! 🙏
Here's how I do 3-5+ hours of revision each day on top of school*:
1. Set achievable goals
Everyone falls into the trap of thinking they can do more than they think, but ultimately it just makes you feel bad :( There’s nothing worse than feeling unfulfilled at the end of the day because you haven’t “completed your work.”
They best thing you can do is write out your tasks that need to be completed, ordering them in terms of priority and then get cracking! It’s important to note that forcing yourself to do work will never help, it’ll just make the work looked rushed and won’t be your best, do what you can and don’t feel disheartened if you leave something uncompleted for now!! (finish it eventually, ofc ☺️)
2. Don’t put work over your other needs!
I’ve heard some people say that they’ve put off snacking/drinking and hanging out with friends just so that they can study. I can almost 100% guarantee this will just make you more upset!! If you want to go out, go out. If you want to snack, go get a snack! Don’t ever put off your needs for some short term work when we both know you’d be a lot happier talking to your friends 🩷
I know that out there, there are some people who will tell you they forget to eat or drink when they work. Please do not let this influence you. Everyone works differently, and their way is not healthy.
3. Time management
Setting up a revision timetable, with time blocks or not, can really help you to set out an idea of work you’d like to complete! Make it colour coordinated!! Stick it up in your room, or throw it on your home/lockscreen for a reminder!
Everyone works a little differently, for example, I do have a timetable, but I don’t use it in extensive detail. If something else has higher importance, I’ll finish that. If I know that working on a subject really won’t “help” at the time (I’ll go over this later 😋) then I’ll ignore it. It's helpful to have the idea, but don’t restrict yourself to just what you've written on the timetable!
4. Apps!!
I've also found it helps to have a non-academic goal to work towards! I use an app called “Flora” to set time goals and write to-do lists that helps me to get through the nights. For each task I have, the app plants a virtual tree or plant in your garden! You can customise the garden, the title of your tasks and each plant that you grow. The best thing about this app is that it restricts apps on your phone (you can choose which ones!). It acts as a massive deterrent to spending time on your phone and helps you to focus on your work! You can also work with friends and grow trees together, completely free :)
There are many apps like this, Flora is just the one that I use. Take some time to find one just for you!! (flora is the best tho <3)
5. Choosing the right focus
So you have some homework due in a couple of days, an essay next week and a project due in in a month. You're really not feeling good about the homework and the essay just really isn't up your street right now, but that project? You wanna do that! And thats fine!! It's never good to miss deadlines and procrastinate, but if you feel like doing that work now will just lead to it being rushed and feeling incomplete, leave it until later on! Forcing yourself to do a task might make you relieved when you're finished, but it's no way to cheer yourself up.
By all means, don't miss deadlines because of this! You should always try to complete assignments right as they're set rather than leaving them until last minute. Getting compulsory work done leaves more time for you to be yourself, work on your own ideas and have that extra edge above anyone else!
*3-5+ hours on top of schoolwork is a big commitment. I understand this, and everyone is different. Please do not think that this is how much you should be doing, or how much is what makes a "good student." Do what feels right for YOU.
That's all from me, if anyone has any other questions on how I revise or how to revise, ask away! <3
Have a good day everyone!

Goddard is definitely power hungry, but it's also deeper than that. He has such a raging inferiority complex it's not even funny. Actually, watching Carson Lusk and the Thunderhead bicker passive-aggressively is hilarious, but I digress.
On pg. 228 of Scythe, Goddard writes in his journal that "I do not miss my so-called relationship with the Thunderhead... The absence of [its] uninvited intrusions into our lives is a blessing... Without the crutch of a higher power, I am the highest power I know, and I like it that way."
He wants control and resents the Thunderhead, and that makes sense now that we've seen his backstory in "A Martian Minute." Instead of supporting him when he's having a rough time, the Thunderhead repeatedly decides to sass him and be a bitch (I say that affectionately, but still). It makes him feel powerless, siding with his parents against him instead of looking out for his best interests. It justifies this by telling Carson that the Mars colony work is more important than anything on Earth. His response is, "Blah blah blah. The Thunderhead was so full of itself. If it really cared about him the way it always claimed to, it would find a way to get him off this rock" (pg. 132 of Gleanings).
The Thunderhead prioritized the broader picture over Carson's personal goals, and there is always an ethical debate to be had about the needs of the many versus one. Neither of them was necessarily wrong on that front before Carson got the Scythedom involved. Interestingly, when it's time to launch another space effort at Kwajalein, the Thunderhead and Cirrus are adamant that no one will be forced to take the journey even though this project is important to humanity. This indicates a shift in priorities for the Thunderhead. It learned from watching Carson that the journey would be jeapordized if anyone was unwilling.
Carson isn't selfish to want to leave Mars, but when he's denied and belittled, he escalates into destructive and definitely selfish behaviour. The Thunderhead probably should have predicted that if it knew him so well. It made that mistake, underestimating a human's determination and overestimating his empathy. History is full of cases like Carson/Goddard who felt slighted and blew it out of proportion (literally).
The first chance Carson gets to align with the Scythedom, an entity above the Thunderhead's jurisdiction, he takes it, and he taunts it while he's in the control room with the reactor. When he later discovers the atolls, he interprets them as a slap in the face from the Thunderhead, who went behind his back and undermined all his power and plans. He then takes this rage out on Rowan and Citra to try and compensate for that insecurity. Even more interestingly, by attacking Kwajalein and forcing unprepared people to escape to the spaceships, Goddard does to them exactly what he resented about his own childhood.
What interests me the most is how this story ties into discussions about systemic power and violence. Cirrus says that Astrid is being selfish for harming humanity's chances in pursuit of her own goals, just like the Thunderhead thought Carson was selfish. The difference is that Astrid and the Tonists are victims of systemic injustice and Carson was a teenage boy who didn't get his way. If Carson had been patient (seeing as he's immortal), he could've gotten what he wanted without killing anyone. Astrid could not afford to be patient because her people were being slaughtered. It's a reflection of how people like Carson make themselves out to be victims while oppressed minorities are shamed for fighting back.
It irks me that Greyson as the Toll refuses to let Tonists fight back against the scythes. Mendoza is not a great leader and his motives are corrupt, but he's right that one can't bring a knife to a gunfight (or you can't politely ask someone to stop beating you). The "if you use violence against your oppressors, you're just as bad" argument is ineffective and just continues cycles of oppression.
Overall, Goddard/Carson's relationship to the Thunderhead digs deep into power relations and their consequences. He seeks power to boost his own ego, and so he fights against the most powerful entity no matter what the cost. He knows the Thunderhead will always be better than him, and that infuriates him.

Writer's Project Poll
Just curious, how many stories are you all working on right now? I have three higher priority projects going on which total up to 14+ books (including the two books that are already finished and out), but then have several lower priority projects in various stages of incomplete. So, total, I'm between 20-30 at least and possibly more as most of my projects are series and others may become series. On top of all this, I also have several ideas waiting in the wings for when I get a few of my already started projects finished (or at least further along).

a lot of questions sent here seem to get replied to with "we'd love to do this, but we have higher priorities right now/other stuff we're working on so we can't take on more." and that's cool. but i was wondering if you're able to tell us some of the stuff that's in the works? or are you not allowed to tell us that for some reason? thanks for all your hard work.
Answer: Hello, @unit00!
A very good question, nay, an important question, and one we are very glad to answer.
There are a couple of parts here. First, it is correct that we can’t talk about everything before we start experimenting with it and launching it. These big projects take months to build, and we’re a small team for the size of the ship we are running and what we build and maintain each day. We do try to tease things in the Upcoming section of the @changes blog when we feel comfortable doing so.
It’s also fair to say that we always post something about our bigger things that come out via @staff, like this and this and this, for example. Those are big projects, and all took time, effort, and resources to build. There are also twice-weekly posts on @changes about the other medium-sized and smaller things that we’re building and fixing. Even that is a small slice of how the platform shifts every day! There’s a lot happening every day across Tumblr in terms of us fixing bugs and pushing code. Tumblr is bigger than you think!
Finally, as for WIP itself, it’s equally fair to say that we receive a lot of feedback and suggestions of ideas that we love the sound of—or indeed ideas that we have had ourselves!—but are unable to start working on because of other projects. Like the rest of our platform, we at WIP do everything we can to answer as many, and as wider range, of your questions each week. This, too, takes a lot of time and work, but don’t get us wrong—it’s work we love to do and work that’s good for the wider health of our platform.
We hope this helps—and keep the feedback coming! Have a great day.
Love,
—Cyle & Caroline (Tumblr Engineering)

been having the kind of day where my brain simply will not stop ping-ponging all over the place and i have so much to do but none of it will click right, very restless
i did finish reading a book, i did a fair bit of reading today, for some reason that was fine, and so was fucking around in photoshop a little
but i have so many more things i want to do that are much higher priority and that i actually really want to do like apply to the two more job postings i found and work on one of my three crochet projects and edit my latest youtube uploads and send a few important messages i need to send
but instead i spent wayyyyyy too much time on this webbed site today with my eyes half glazed-over because everything made my brain twitchy and now it's past 3am
and my brain is also too twitchy to sleep. although i feel like that frequently and then it ends up not being a problem so maybe i'll be fine if i just go the fuck to bed
hey hot tip to reward you for reading this far don't use your phone in bed before going to sleep no matter how tempting it is. seriously the best thing i ever did for my sleep, it's amazing how quickly it almost entirely eliminated nights where i spent hours tossing and turning because my brain was too awake and moving too fast. and also i stopped waking up to my eyes feeling like they were going to rot out of my fucking head, which made getting out of bed at least a little easier, that's just always going to be hard for me i think.
i guess i am going to go to bed now because it is late and i am clearly not going to be able to do anything else anyway. bleh

Chapter 1 - A04 - Handler Donald pierce fanfic.
Tumblr media
"Just 'bout ready to go, Doc"
Pierce said as he approached the hummer that Dr. Rice was sitting in. "Good, get everyone over here to do the mission briefing. We need to be thoroughly prepared for this mission in particular." Dr. Rice said as he looked up from what looked like a case file with a red tag on it.
"Forgive me, Doc but catchin' mutey's is kind of my men's specialty." Pierce spoke though Dr. Rice only shook his head. "No, we're not just catching mutants at this point. We're catching more then just mutants." Dr. Rice began as he passed the file that was in his hands over to pierce.
"Say hello to a mutant slash supernatural hybrid." Dr. Rice said as Pierce opened the file. "Hex labs made em'?" Pierce asked to which Dr. Rice nodded. "There are 15 subjects all together. 8 have already been found, now we're just looking for the other 7." Dr. Rice continued as he looked around for a second.
"The file you've got right there is the file for the high risk group or as what Hex labs named them as the red tags. Those 5 individuals are highly intelligent and have been trained to be killing machine's essentially. The higher ups wanted the 7 lost subjects to be dealt with personally by both you and I." Dr. Rice continued as Pierce looked through the file for the 'red tags'.
However he stopped when he turned the page to the last subject and that is when Dr. Rice spoke again. "This one in particular I am interested in. Which is why her capture will be our main priority." Dr. Rice said as he pointed to the subject's photo. Pierce gave him a quizzical look before Dr. Rice continued.
"She will be a very valuable asset to us. She is highly dangerous, way more then any of the other red tags. Her physical and mental test results are extraordinary but that also make's her a lot harder to catch her. She is extremely volatile and will definitely not go down without a fight. It's because of that behaviour that makes her practically untouchable." Dr. Rice explained. "ok, Doc so what's our game plan?" pierce asked as he read through the file.
The file:
Tumblr media
"It's simple. Our main target is her, the others are secondary targets and much easier to take down. Your men will need to be on high alert if we are to catch her." Dr. Rice explained as Pierce closed the file and handed it back to the doctor. "But we still need to proceed with caution as her mutation is completely unknown to us. Sadly before we were able to get our hands on the files, some of the information was redacted." Dr. Rice cautioned and Pierce nodded.
"Don't you worry Doc, there hasn't been a single mutey we haven't caught before." Pierce said as he appeared pretty laid back.
"You may be right about that Pierce but what we're dealing with is way more then just a singular mutant. These hybrids were made to fight to the death and they were made as walking, talking weapons essentially. The whole project was sanctioned by the military and Government. Hex Labs had the goal of making the perfect soldier and in a way they succeeded. But the problem is the hybrids can't be controlled as well as Hex Labs designed them to be." Dr. Rice explained further.
"We'll see" Pierce said as he began to radio the other reavers to come towards them to discuss the mission brief.
~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~
Dakota's P.O.V
"You sleep ok?" Trevor asked though I didn't really turn to answer him.
"Slept fine" I answered as I stared out of one of the many large windows of the abandoned factory that we were currently vacating. I sat on the large window sill just staring out the window at nothing in particular. We've been in this abandoned factory for 2 weeks now and we've been on the run for about 2 months now. Two months since the collapse of Hex Labs, quite literally. We blew the entire place up pretty much.
"Nightmares been bothering you again?" Trevor pushed and I only nodded without a verbal reply. I heard him sigh before he spoke again. "We're leaving today, probably gonna be walking for a few hours. Got a tip off that Transigen is getting closer to us." Trevor said and I turned my head to him.
"Then why didn't we leave a week ago, then they wouldn't be gaining on us" I stated but Trevor only shook his head. "I never said they were gaining on us, I said the were getting closer." Trevor explained and I turned my head to look out the window again. Trevor was one of the staff at Hex Labs. He was there from the start, since the moment we were all born. He's like our alpha or leader if our group was ever a pack. He helped us escape Hex Labs and in fact he's a retired veteran. He taught me how to keep control of certain urges.
"You should start to prepare, all 7 of you will shift to hide suspicion and sightings as usual if anything happens I'll have clothes for all of you." Trevor continued and I nodded. "I know the plan I just think we should have left earlier." I explained my concern as there are only 7 of us as the other 8 were captured. "Hey, this plan is full proof, we've used it before and how long have you known me?" Trevor asked as I turned my head to look at him again. "ever since I could remember" I said. "Exactly, we have nothing worry about and you all know the back up plan in case someone gets caught" Trevor said and I nodded.
"We should head down stairs now and prepare the others" Trevor suggest and again I nodded before getting off the window sill. "No doubt Alia's probably nervous." Trevor chuckled and I nodded with a smile. "When is she not nervous" I said as I walked past Trevor and to the stair well Trevor following behind me. We make our way down stairs and as soon as we get there I see Alia anxiously pacing whilst Calum is trying to calm her. "We're ready to go Trev." Violet said as she approached us. "Good, we'll get going in a few minutes." Trevor said while I looked around at the last 7 of us. Like me, Alia, Calum and Violet are all red tags. We were grew up together, trained together and we've protected each other ever since.
 "Andy, how's Zoe doing?" Trevor asked Andy who was in the beta group or secondary group to the red tags. "Yeah, uh Dakota she want's to talk to you about something." Andy said a bit hesitantly and I only nodded before walking towards another stairwell that led to the rooms we were sleeping in. I make my way up there and as I do I can hear sobbing.
Zoe was also a red tag though she wasn't nearly anything like us. She was anger driven, reckless, volatile, cold or cruel she was everything but those terms.
As I make it up the stairs I immediately see Zoe sitting on her bed with her knees cuddled to her chest, her face blotchy from crying. "What's wrong Zo?" I asked as I walked towards her. I don't often show emotions but in the rare cases that I do, it's usually around Zoe or my twin brother Calum and sometimes Alia. But you see me and Zoe we have something in common that no one else has. We have a secret that we both vowed to keep until our own deaths. Something we have never told another soul.
"My stomach's been feeling weird and I've been throwing up lately. I think...I think I'm..." She sobbed as she touched her stomach and straight away I knew. I quickly sat on her bed and brought her into a hug. "I-I don't want to get rid of it but I'm so scared." Zoe stuttered as she cried in my arms. She was only 16 years old were as I was 17, almost 18 in about a month or two. "We'll all figure it out together, did you want to tell anyone?" I asked as I didn't question her choice of keeping it. "N-no I-I don't think I want to tell anyone just yet." Zoe stuttered out as I released her from the hug. "Your going to be fine, your strong and when the time comes we're all going to be there to support you no matter what." I assured. But as Zoe went to say something suddenly we heard conflict down stairs and the sound of car engines outside.
I shot up from Zoe's bed and sprinted to the window just in time to see several trucks pulling up outside of the factory. "Shit! We gotta go, NOW!" I said as I ran over to Zoe grabbed her hand and pulled her with me to the stair well but I stopped as soon as I heard yelling downstairs. "Shit" I whispered as I gestured for Zoe to keep quiet. As the yelling continued I suddenly heard gun shots. Zoe flinched at the sound of the gunshots as she held onto my hand with a tight grip.
Planning #26 - Uhm 3: The End of Uhms
Here we are.
Sorry about the extreme delay. While I understand not many people are following me on tumblr and most people interested in my stories simply follow/subscribed to my stories on FFnet and AO3, I think that a more elaborate post describing what's going on right now should serve as a nice point of reference if you happen to see or check this blog at some point.
I have the usual attempt at explaining myself below the ‘keep reading’ line - but before that I'd like to show some actual plans first.
Priorities have shifted only a little bit for my WIPs. My plan is to resume posting new chapters with this order from higher priority to lowest:
The Butterfly Bane (SVTFOE)
Time Woes with a Pinch of Frogs (Amphibia + AHIT)
Pacifica over Yonder (GF + WOY) - hiatus
The Powerpuff Legacy (PPG OG) - hiatus
While only 'The Butterfly Bane' will likely receive new updates with some semblance of consistency in timing, resuming updates is something I would like to do for all of the stories above, including those on hiatus, and as soon as possible.
I may also churn out a one-shot or two. I have multiple ideas in the oven on that front and I don't want to mention them too much since some may never see the light of day. For now, just keep in mind that the stories I mentioned in previous posts -- the crossover 'Role Models', as well as the next story in the Tales of the Queens of Mewni series, 'By Your Side' -- are still planned to be posted at some point.
Now, about the lack of updates for more than a year from me, you can check below for more info if you care about that.
Long story short, a lot has changed in my life lately in the last 13 months and I lost all traces of writing bunnies or even just willingness to sit down in front of a word processor as a result - indeed, it’s been a year or so since my last update to any of my stories, and a few of my stories or series haven’t gotten updates for much longer than that. The little I managed to write didn’t satisfy me, either, which led me to thrash two one-shots while I was writing them (for new fandoms) and some content for my WIP multi-chapter fics.
Now, I am not saying that this situation has improved: it's still very hard to find the time to sit down and write, and to keep my focus while I do it, due to my current IRL occupation and other problems. However, I will still say (stubbornly if you will) that there's no way I'm leaving my stories unfinished, no matter what. All of them (and I’m counting the SvtFoE one-shot series in it too, despite its nature as a collection of partially self-contained works) will be finished, sooner or later, even if it takes one little step every odd month to do so. And, even in this new situation, I would like to keep writing fanfiction for quite a while.
So, with all that said: for the time being I just hope that I’ll recover most of the writing juice back. With it, I'll try to resume updating my unfinished works and posting new ones over time, and if that proves too hard, then I'll try to keep writing little bit by little, bit by bit, to keep my projects moving forward one small step at a time. It likely will take a while, but I'll try not to stop!
Wolvden - Pack Restructure Planning
It’s come to my realization that this whole breeding project thing is 1) not fun, and 2) takes up a lot of space that I could be using for things that are more fun to me.
And my Non-Canon pack was created based on the game’s original breeding limitations, which are no more, plus my desire to do a breeding project, which I no longer wish to do.
My Canon pack was small due to the game’s original limitations as well. Now there’s a much greater chance for expansion.
So next generation (which will be after I am on Lioden for a generation) I plan to do something different. A complete restructure with more drama, more canon wolves, and hopefully more fun gameplay!
Setup Everybody in the breeding project group will be chased and I will see if anything from the Non-Canon Hunters group should be salvaged due to their higher stats. Probably not many, though, if any. Emergency Raffle Girls will continue to exist as they have a very important niche plus only take up three spaces.
The Canon Pack will stick around, however, and more intact than previously. Before, I would just have the lead pair stick around and slowly chase the other wolves once pups become of age to become the new Canon Pack. No more. The royal line gets to spread itself a little farther, now, and the new leader’s siblings may have pups of their own. If they’re lucky.
Sub-packs While the main pack will slowly become filled with the pups of the main pair, the rest of the pack will splinter. I’ll be starting with just one sub-pack, though I will probably increase the number fairly quickly.
Sub-packs will be centered around their own hunting teams, and will grow families of their own. Each will be led by a member of the royal family, though they may not be the only breeding pair of said pack! Or even breed at all, potentially.
Breeding The main pack and each sub-pack will split the number of breedings available each month as equally as they can. The main pair will always get priority no matter what.
But this seems like it’ll get excessive really fast, right? Well, there’s a couple of things that will be making it less so.
New Wolf Intake For every 3 royal family wolves, there will be 1 new wolf from some other source.
I’ll be reserving a group - possibly putting them in with the ERGs - to new NBW intake. Any Chased wolf I want to keep or just any really nice-looking wolf will start here. Once there is a slot for them, I’ll choose one to enter a pack.
If there are not enough NBWs to bring in, a wolf of my choice from a randomly-generated page in the Enclave may be adopted.
Intakes will based on the total number of royal wolves in all packs, but they will be assigned a pack randomly. This means they may end up in an overpopulated pack or one that doesn’t have any eligible mates.
In addition, all intake wolves will have their personalities rolled completely, including sexuality(1/10 chance of not hetero) and preference towards royal or non-royal wolves, whereas before I had intakes have the most convenient sexuality and preference.
Currently, I have a 50/50 chance for a royal wolf to prefer wolves from the non-canon pack and NBWs. I will still have this 50/50 chance, but now for royal wolves this means Intakes vs. pups between intakes, and for non-royals it means royals vs. non-royals.
All this means is that it will be much harder for a compatible pair to exist!
When doing Enclave picks, I will be roll where the pup is going and each pup’s personality so that I can be fully selective in my choices.
Premature Death Another limiting factor is that life will now be more dangerous. To keep the pack from getting too large, once a threshold for the total adult pack wolves is met (max hunting teams+~2 Pupsitters per hunting team+other more limited roles(4), so right now it’d be 32 for me), every week I will be randomizing wolves to die to get back down to the threshold.
The randomization will be by sub-pack, and then by wolf, so wolves in a larger sub-pack are safer than those in a smaller one, because inequality makes more drama.
To make things a little less dire, I can re-randomize within the sub-pack to another wolf if I don’t like the first choice. But only once - if it’s the same wolf or one I like even better, too bad! They’re gone. (This is going to happen to a Tier 3 or a mutated one or something, I just know it)
If the Lead Wolf dies, I’m not spending GC to replace them officially, but as far as pack lore/function goes, they’ll be dead and a new leader will be chosen! Voted for and everything. I will do everything in my power to not let it happen, though. At least with the initial leader.
If a sub-pack’s lead wolf dies, there’ll be a vote within the sub-pack only for a new leader. The royal line will have priority in being options, but if there are none left or only one left, non-royalty can become sub-leader.
One-off Roles Roles such as Herbalist, Scout, and Mentor will by default be from the main leader’s pack. However, if they need replacing, they will be replaced by a wolf from the largest pack or sub-pack.
Gridlocks and Consolidation/Migration There is a chance that there may be no wolves who can breed due to conflicting preferences and small sub-pack size. If this occurs and no wolves in the full pack can breed, then wolves may migrate between sub-packs to find a suitable mate.
If a sub-pack becomes too small, the wolves in it may decide to join another sub-pack. Doing so will free up the space for another of the full pack’s Lead Wolf’s pups to start a sub-pack.
Creating New Sub-packs New sub-packs can only be created by a sibling or direct descendant of the Lead Wolf, once they have a pair-bond and at least one pup (can be adopted). A new Sub-pack can only be created when there is another hunting team slot open.
Voting Voting will be pretty much unchanged. Leader gets 4 votes, Leader’s mate gets 3, Leader’s direct descendants get 2 votes, and all other wolves get 1. Most votes will be done pack-wide as is the case now.
Leadership Choices I’ll be keeping the same three categories for leadership choices: best-looking (in my opinion), best stats (now based on birth stats since those are visible now), and the wolf that votes the winning choice most often.
As they are now, only direct descendants of the previous Lead Wolf can be the next full-pack Lead Wolf.
While choosing a new Lead Wolf will change the eligibility of leaders of the sub-packs, the reigning leaders will not be ousted from their roles. It will only affect who becomes sub-pack leader once the current leader needs replacing.
Other Alterations From My Current Gameplay
“Home Biome” when generating a wolf’s preferences will now be the biome they are born in as listed on their page rather than the pack’s “Home Biome” as a whole. NBWs’ “Home Biome” is the biome they were found in. NBWs also roll personality when obtained and can be chosen between when they enter the pack.
When Lead Wolf changes in the full game (aka previous Lead Wolf becomes 8 and retires), I can customize the Lead Wolf and Mate completely. I get enough GC that I can justify this. My limited choices might make it more difficult to get pretty wolves consistently, after all.
All wolves will have one Focus Stat randomized at birth/adoption/befriending. The other Focus Stat will be selected by me.
What Will Stay the Same Most general gameplay. I’ll still be using the same Herbalist limitations and Biome Movement/Scouting limitations as before. Still voting for where to Hunt, what to focus on buying/siding with during events, and such. Leader gameplay will be pretty much unchanged. It’s mostly just pack management that will be changing.
Hello Good People and ardent Ardenites!
We wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your donations thus far to Season 3. We’re so excited to share Bea and Brenda’s further adventures later this year.
As we enter our final week of campaigning, we wanted to update you all on how the campaign is going, so you have the most transparent information on what you can expect from Arden going forward.
-So far, we have raised over $7300 in our campaign, putting us less than $700 away from being able to make a seventh episode. In conjunction with additional funds generated simultaneously during the campaign from ad sales and Patreon, this means we will be able to fund at least six episodes of Arden’s third season. While we had planned and scripted this season to be thirteen episodes, we will rewrite and trim the season to make sure you get the full story of the case of the missing painting “Long Summer’s Night”. Whether this story is told in six, seven, eight, or more episodes depends on how much we raise, but the complete case will be told.
-Our team of writers have already been paid from last year’s receipts on Patreon. All money raised from these sources will go to paying for production and post-production, including cast, directors, sound designers, and original music.
-Minisodes! We’d love to make them. But rest assured, our primary focus will be telling the case. As with everything else, how many minisodes we make depends on how much money we ultimately raise.
-Rewards: In case of any questions regarding our phrasing, let us be clear - when we said “All rewards will be fulfilled” in our update on the site, all we meant was to confirm that even if we didn’t reach our full $26,000 goal, we would of course be fulfilling all rewards. There was never any question of that in our minds, and making sure everyone who donates gets everything they paid for is our highest priority. All our digital rewards are available right now - and everyone who donates at $5 and above will be able to listen to episodes at least a week early, if not sooner!
-If you don’t have money now but want to help out later on, then our Patreon will have access to some of these rewards! If you sign up on the $2 and above level, you will get early episodes at the same time as IGG donors and access to our Discord. Higher Patreon tiers will get more of these rewards, like the soundtrack, digital dossier, and RPG, just to name a few, once the crowdfunding period is over. All Patreon and ad revenue raised after the crowdfund ends will go back into producing the season, so we’ll be able to have more recording days with actors and directors, more original music and maybe even record some additional minisodes or specials depending on how much is raised.
Speaking of rewards! Remember those cool prints and that WheyCon shirt? Wish you could better envision them on your wall and/or torso? We’re very excited to share mock-ups! See here pictures of the “I Survived WheyCon” T-shirt, and the posters (16"x16"). The linocut print, which we have shown previously, will be 4"x9".
Let’s finish this out strong, Good People! We have less than $700 to raise to make at least one more episode and five days to get there! As a small, independent creative team, every dollar counts and every dollar we raise goes back into Arden, whether that’s paying actors, directors or sound designers or fulfilling pledges. With your help, we can and will make this season the best it can be. Join us, won’t you, at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/arden-s3-midsummer-in-new-york-city#/.
Fed Chair: US debt not sustainable; JH: US has less than 10 years to solve it
COGwriter
ZeroHedge reported:
March 27, 2024
We’ve been pointing it out for so long – in fact, for most of our 15 years in existence – that it has become more of a chore than actual reporting, especially since the “number only go up“, as it hits a new all time high virtually every day. We are talking, of course, about the exponential curve that is the US debt,  …
And yet, every now and then we are surprised by the latest developments surrounding the unsustainable, exponential trajectory of US debt. Like, for example, the establishment admitting that it is on an unsustainable, exponential trajectory.
That’s precisely what happened overnight when in an interview with the oh so very serious Financial Times (which has done everything in its power to keep its readers out of the best performing asset class of all time, bitcoin), the director of the Congressional Budget Office, Phillip Swagel, issued a stark warning that the United States could suffer a similar market crisis as seen in the United Kingdom 18 months ago, during former Prime Minister Liz Truss’s brief stint leading Britain – which briefly sent yields soaring, sparked a run on the pound, led to an immediate restart of QE by the Bank of England and a bailout of various pension funds, not to mention the almost instant resignation of Truss – citing the nation’s “unprecedented” fiscal trajectory. …
And while Swagel said the U.S. is “not there yet,” he raised concerns of how bond markets could fare as interest rates have climbed. Specifically, he warned that as higher interest rates raise the cost of paying its creditors, on track to reach $1 trillion per year in 2026, bond markets could “snap back.”
Well, we have some bad news, because if one calculates total US interest on an actual, annualized basis… we don’t have to wait until 2026, we are there already and then some. …
Bobby Kogan, senior director of federal budget policy at the communist-leaning Center for American Progress think tank …  said … was chilling:  “You either should have been worried a long time ago, or you should be less worried now,” he said. “Because we’ve been on roughly the same path for forever, but to the extent that it’s different, it’s better.”
Actually no, it’s not better. It much, much worse, and the fact that supposedly “serious people” are idiots and make such statements is stunning because, well, these are the people in charge!
But he is certainly right that “you should have been worried a long time ago” – we were very worried, and everyone laughed at us … https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/cbo-director-warns-debt-market-meltdown-us-debt-unprecedented-trajectory
Yes, what the USA is doing is unsustainable and worse than most believe.
But at least some are wondering.
Received an email from a group I had not heard of before called Schiff Sovereign, with the following by James Hickman:
It’s interesting to see how so many mainstream voices are starting to express concern about the gargantuan size of the US national debt. …
60 Minutes interviewed the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell.
The US national debt now stands at more than $34 trillion. It will surpass $35 trillion by the summer and likely $36 trillion by the end of the year.
It’s growing so quickly that the interviewer asked about the debt, “Thirty years from now, it is projected to be $144 trillion. . . [I]s the national debt a danger to the economy in your view? I have the sense this worries you very much.”
The answer to almost any sentient human being, of course, is “absolutely yes.” And the Fed Chairman admitted as such. Sort of. He said:
“In the long run, the US is on an unsustainable fiscal path. . . Over the long run, of course it does [worry me very much] . . . It’s time for us to get back to putting a priority on fiscal sustainability. And sooner is better than later.”
Now a term like “the long run” is a funny thing because it can mean just about anything.  …
This will be a fiscal black hole from which there is no escape. And it’s less than 10 years away.
We’re not being sensationalist or dramatic here; this is a simple arithmetic problem based on the government’s own projections. And frankly those projections are optimistic.
Yes, to say that the USA has ten years left is optimistic.
Consider the following from last fall:
The United States Deficit Road To Ruin
According to the U.S. Treasury, year-end data from September 2023 show that the deficit for the full year 2023 was $1.7 trillion, $320 billion higher than the prior year’s deficit. As a percentage of GDP, the deficit was 6.3%, an increase from 5.4% in FY 2022. This means that the United States will likely post the worst GDP growth excluding debt increases since 1929 …
The United States government is unable to spend less than 22.8% of GDP, and no tax revenue measure can eliminate the deficit. Those who think that taxing the rich would eliminate the deficit should ask how the government would collect $1.7 trillion in additional taxes per year and every year, no matter what the growth of the economy is.
With $33.6 trillion of public debt and the administration’s own estimate of the accumulated deficit for 2023–2022, public debt is going to soar by $14 trillion. No tax measure can eliminate that problem.
Deficits are always a spending problem. 10/23/23 https://www.zerohedge.com/political/united-states-deficit-road-ruin
The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note, a key barometer for mortgage rates, auto loans and student debt, rose back above 5% on Monday. …
Most of the recent jump in Treasury yields is due to a so-called term premium, said Andrew Hunter, deputy chief U.S. economist at Capital Economics.
Basically, investors are demanding a higher return to lend their money to the U.S. government — in this case, for 10 years. One reason: Investors seem skittish about rising U.S. government debt, Hunter said. Generally, investors demand a higher return if they perceive a greater risk of the government’s inability to pay back debt in the future.
The rapid rise in Treasury yields may “accelerate an already weakening economic picture that is masked by higher rates,” said Tony Dwyer, chief market strategist Canaccord Genuity Group, in a Monday note. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/10/23/the-10-year-treasury-tops-5percent-again-heres-what-that-means-for-you.html
The USA is the most indebted nation in the history of humanity. Rising interest rates increase the debt and look to one day result in a debt spiral that will be a factor in the elimination of the USA!
This increasing of debt cannot go on forever.
Even when he was President of the United States, Barack Obama said the levels of debt his Administration oversaw was “unsustainable,” yet the debt keeps going up.
Notice the following levels of official US debt:
January 20, 2009, $10,626,877,048,913.08, date Obama-Biden Administration inaugurated.
January 19, 2017, $19,944,429,217,106.77, date Obama-Biden leave office, replaced the next day by Trump-Pence.
January 19, 2021, $27,752,835,868,445.35, the date  Trump-Pence leave office, replaced the next day by Biden-Harris.
January 19, 2024, $34,072,342,032,939.15, after 3 years of the Biden-Harris Administration (see also  https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/datasets/debt-to-the-penny/debt-to-the-penny)
And it has gone up a hundreds of billions more since January 19, 2024.
Official US debt nearly doubled under the Obama-Biden Administration. It also greatly increased by about the same amount in only four years under the Trump-Pence Administration. Debt went up over $6 trillion in the first three years of the Biden-Harris Administration and is expected to increase greatly.
The Bible warns about debt and disobedience:
43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. 45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed…47 “Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. 49 The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. 51 And they shall eat the increase of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave you grain or new wine or oil, or the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you. 52 They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates throughout all your land which the LORD your God has given you (Deuteronomy 28:43-45,47-52).
7 The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender. (Proverbs 22:7)
13 And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it, 14 but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts…16 I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them.” (Jeremiah 9:13,14a,16)
12 One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst; and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. (Ezekiel 5:12)
Now, you may wish to read and re-read something that the prophet Habakkuk was inspired to write over 2600 years ago:
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry…5 Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man… 6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his–how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you. Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:3,5,6-8).
9 “Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house, That he may set his nest on high, That he may be delivered from the power of disaster! 10 You give shameful counsel to your house, Cutting off many peoples, And sin against your soul. 11 For the stone will cry out from the wall, And the beam from the timbers will answer it. (Habakkuk 2:9-11)
The above prophecy will be fulfilled at the time of the end (cf. “The message was true, but the appointed time was long…in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come,” Daniel 10:1,14). Daniel 8:19, 11:27,29,35 use the same Hebrew term for “appointed time” as Habakkuk 2:3, while Daniel 10, using a different term, ties the latter days to the time in Daniel 8:19. Habakkuk 2 was not fulfilled in its entirety anciently.
And that is not a new idea. The Dead Sea Scrolls discovered last century were helpful in various ways, and included something related to Habakkuk.
The Dead Sea scrolls have the following in a Commentary on Habakkuk from roughly 2000 years ago. The following was translated in the 1950s by F.F. Bruce:
God commanded Habakkuk to write the things that were coming upon the last generation, but the fulfilment of the epoch he did not make known to him. (1Q p Hab. vii 1-5)
While ancient commentaries like this are NOT scripture, this particular one shows that those who understood the Hebrew language, around 2000 years ago, believed that Habakkuk’s words had NOT been fulfilled then and were for the time of the end.
As far as to who these passages in Habakkuk are directed to in the end, it makes little sense that these verses in Habakkuk 2 would be directed towards the modern nation of Israel as it does not have enemy creditors. It must be a nation or group of nations with some prominence at the appointed time of the end. As far as “violence of the land” as a contributing factor, this would seem to include crime, military missions, and perhaps riots/civil unrest, but might it also include promotion of violent sports? Is the USA government not giving shameful counsel regarding matters such as homosexuality and abortion?
Since the USA is the most indebted nation of all time, and since the tiny nation of Israel does not have enemy creditors, it is logical that the prophecy in Habakkuk is directed towards the USA.
And the timing?
Well, years before I saw the Dead Sea document, I concluded that because Habakkuk 2 states it is for the appointed time of the end, that it pertained to our current generation.
After Jesus warned about the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:4-8), other problems (Matthew 24:9-13), the great tribulation (Matthew 24:21-22), His return (Matthew 24:29-31), etc. He stated:
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near — at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.  (Matthew 24:32-35)
The sorrows have begun, we are in that GENERATION.
In light of that, consider that the Book of Proverbs teaches:
12 There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, Yet is not washed from its filthiness. 13 There is a generation — oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up. 14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And whose fangs are like knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, And the needy from among men.
15 The leech has two daughters — Give and Give!
There are three things that are never satisfied, Four never say, “Enough!”: (Proverbs 30:12-15)
It appears that for many USA politicians the debt is never enough.
This will not end well for the USA.
Related to USA debt, we put together the following video:
youtube
14:44
And the Debt Goes On …
On June 3, 2023, US President Joe Biden signed a bill to increase the official debt-ceiling of the United States. According to the US Treasury the “ceiling” has been changed, increased, or delayed 78 other times. The official debt has nearly tripled since the Obama-Biden Administration. The official debt increased about $2 trillion per year under Donald Trump’s Administration and has done close to that in the Joe Biden Administration. While the USA has been able to increase debt with limited consequences (like inflation) so far, does the Bible show this can end in destruction? What did God warn about debt through the prophet Habakkuk? Is getting into high amounts of debt a blessing or curse according to the Bible? Do Democrats or Republicans currently have a plan that will now be implemented to pay off the debt? Has the USA been functioning as an international “leech” consistent with statements in the Book of Proverbs? Does the Bible say it is wicked to borrow money you do really intend to repay? Steve Dupuie and Dr. Thiel cover these matters.
Here is a link to our video: And the Debt Goes On …
Perhaps it should be pointed out that the old Radio Church of God did teach that Habakkuk 1 had future fulfillment and tied it in with Isaiah 10 (Hoeh H. The Race Question. Plain Truth, July 1957 p. 22)–which WCG tied in with the coming destruction of the USA.
Furthermore, the old Worldwide Church of God did clearly teach that Habakkuk 2 had future application:
Habakkuk … God also said that this vision was to be written for our benefit today. … (Habakkuk 2:3). God showed Habakkuk that He will punish all the unrighteous at the end-time. … (Habukkuk 2:8, 10, 16-17) (Armstrong HW, editor in chief. THE MINOR PROPHETS SPEAK TO US! Youth Bible Lessons, Level 7, Lesson 9, 1986, p. 4)
So, yes, the old WCG understood that Habakkuk 2 was prophetic for the end time–not that it was fully fulfilled thousands of years ago (which many in certain COGs wrongly believe).
On the other hand, some will discount Habakkuk because it is prophetic.
Do you believe the words that God inspired Habakkuk to write? If so, do you really understand what is going to happen to the USA, UK, and their Anglo-descended allies relatively soon?
There is also a YouTube video related to this: Was USA debt and destruction predicted 2,600 years ago?
The days of the USA are numbered and are almost up.
Do NOT think that whoever may win the presidential election in 2024 will fix the debt matter.
The rising USA debt cannot continue indefinitely–there is a major price to pay.
DeFi is so much more than just ‘number go up’: It’s a renaissance
Just a few short years ago, the allure of double-digit and even higher yields was irresistible.
But since late 2022, these returns have taken on a new light — they’re too often viewed by skeptics as a potential red flag and a harbinger of risk and instability, rather than the enticing red carpet they once were.
To those skeptics and critics, I say: I still firmly believe DeFi yield will continue to be a vital category. It’s more than just presenting an appealing number — it’s an essential cog in the machinery of most protocols.
That yield strengthens governance, fuels liquidity provision and increases protocol security; proving that it’s not just yield for yield’s sake, but a direct result of technological advancements that improve capital efficiency.
This stands true even in the face of recent adversities. This would include the Euler hack of $200 million (eventually returned), or the Iron Bank incident that saw Alpha Homora’s users’ funds held hostage in an attempt to offset bad debt.
While DeFi’s recovery may not necessarily take the form of the eye-watering APY users have grown accustomed to, it offers a more sustainable solution and a chance for broader participation. Some users may be fine with taking the risk. However, the focus is gradually shifting from chasing astronomical returns to more calculated strategies, creating opportunities for a larger demographic and financial inclusion.
DeFi is poised to have a renaissance in 2023.
Demonstrated resilience in the face of challenges
Acknowledging the undeniable resilience of DeFi is crucial, as it isn’t just another catchphrase in the crypto world; It’s a vital component to crypto’s survival.
Evidence of this dependency can be seen in the events of 2022, wherein centralized entities imploded while DeFi held strong. Numerous projects such as Rocket Pool and Sonne pushed forward, using the so-called “crypto winter” that followed as a learning experience to refine their proposition and open up new opportunities to users.
It is during times of turbulence that we, as a community, are given the chance to refine our strategies, reassess our priorities and consolidate our strengths. These challenges serve as the proving grounds for the next generation and enable us to step up and showcase an alternative future that’s decentralized.
Emergence of liquid staking derivatives
A significant factor in helping weather the storm of 2022 has been the rise of liquid staking derivatives. LSDs saw substantial growth during this period thanks to the promise of the Shapella upgrade — 4.3 million ETH deposited — despite the market sentiment.
Major contributors such as Lido were able to alleviate concerns through user-friendly and low-barrier-to-entry approaches, promoting more sustainable yield that remained liquid.
Read more from our opinion section: It’s a total fool’s errand to regulate NFTs right now
This very process not only gained trust quickly, but also opened the doors wide, enabling anyone with a small amount of capital and slightly less-than-total-degen technical sophistication to participate.
In this new world, geography is irrelevant. Your location or background doesn’t dictate your ability to earn returns.
Coinbase’s cbETH, with its 2.2 billion TVL, is evidence of this shift. It signals a growing acknowledgment of an inclusive financial future where anyone can participate and reap rewards.
The promise of layer-2 solutions in finding yield
Layer-2 solutions have been nothing short of transformative in their impact on the DeFi landscape. For years, Ethereum’s transaction fees have been a barrier, hindering accessibility and usability for many DeFi participants. However, the emergence of layer-2 solutions has revealed a world of untapped possibilities. These solutions offer significantly lower fees and faster transaction speeds, outperforming the limitations of mainnet, and provide a perfect environment for LSDs to become more inclusive.
These improvements, however, are not just about outperforming mainnet’s limitations; they are about forging a new path to universal access. Layer-2 solutions provide the perfect launchpad for anyone, irrespective of their location, to engage with DeFi.
Even those who were previously shut out by high costs can now participate and try their hand at various strategies. Should they decide to bow out, they still gain the invaluable experience of navigating a world that was previously inaccessible to them.
Hire a remote python developer for your business in 2023
Introduction
Finding the right remote python developer can be a challenge, but it's important to do your research. Here are some tips for finding the right developer for your project:
Tumblr media
Look for a developer with experience
When you look for a remote python developer, look for someone with experience. You should be able to find out what kind of projects the developer has worked on and if they have a portfolio that shows those projects. The more experience the better.
As an employer, you want to hire a developer who has worked on many different kinds of projects and can adapt their skills accordingly to fit your needs. A good way to do this is just by Googling them and looking at their LinkedIn profile or website in order to see what they have been up until now working on.
Determine if you're looking for someone to work on a full-time or part-time basis
Deciding whether you need a full-time or part-time employee can be tricky. Full-time employees are generally more reliable and tend to have more experience than part-timers, but they also come with higher costs and an increased risk of overworking themselves. If you have an idea of what kind of work you want your developer to do (e.g., web app development or e-commerce) then it's easier to decide if it's worth paying for someone full-time or not.
For example, if your new hire will be responsible for creating software that automates a mundane task like data entry, then there isn't much room for growth in this role—so hiring them as a part-time employee would probably be ideal as long as they're willing!
You'll also want to consider whether there's enough work available on the side so that they won't feel bored when there aren't any new projects coming up at their agency - because if they get bored they might leave before working through all those hours owed by clients."
You need to define clear goals.
You need to define clear goals for your project. A good way to do this is by creating a list of specific deliverables and putting them in order of priority:
What do you want?
Why does it matter?
How will your users interact with it?
What exactly does success look like for this project, and when is that moment supposed to arrive?
Finding a remote worker through agencies
A great way to find remote workers is through agencies. The best part is that these agencies can help you find the right candidates for your project, as well as take over the hiring process and onboarding so that you don't have to worry about it.
As with any service, there are pros and cons of using an agency. The benefits of using an agency include:
They're familiar with the market and can help you find qualified candidates based on your requirements
They can assist with the hiring process, making sure all paperwork and approvals are made before bringing on a new employee
They can provide support throughout onboarding, which makes getting started easier
Plan ahead and you'll find the best remote python developers for your project.
If you're looking for a remote python developer, planning ahead is key. The best candidates—and the most cost-effective ones—are likely to be working on projects at the moment. In fact, they may already have several clients and not have time in their schedule for a new project. If you want to ensure that you get your project off on the right foot by hiring a great developer who's available right away, it's important that your hiring process takes place well before the end of their current contract.
If possible, try to schedule interviews with potential new hires about two weeks before their current employment ends in order to give yourself enough time for any negotiations or contracts necessary before starting work on your project.
Conclusion
If you're looking to hire a remote python developer, this article should give you a good idea of what to look for. The most important thing is to have clear goals and define them before hiring anyone. It'll help your remote workers understand their role in the project and give them something concrete to work on. Next, look for someone who has experience working remotely since this will make it easier for them to communicate effectively with others on your team.
