The AO3 Curse Finally Got Me!

So yesterday, I was all set to update my fics before class when my internet suddenly died.

At first, I thought it was just the college Wi-Fi acting up again, so I figured I’d just upload everything once I got home. But when I got home… still no internet. I tried all the usual fixes—resetting the router, checking cables, the whole routine—but nothing worked.

Then I checked my emails and nearly had a panic attack. There was a message saying my internet service was going to be terminated because I hadn’t paid. Which I knew wasn't true—but I was so stressed, I started second-guessing myself.

Anyways I called customer service.

Thankfully, I got a super sweet and helpful lady (bless her) who confirmed that the problem was on their end. Still no idea what actually went wrong tho.

To make things worse, Google Docs decided to randomly save an older version of my drafts, so I lost some of the new content. So now I have to delay my fic update—sorry!😭😭😭

Update: everything is fine (well as fine as I can be) the streaming quality held out and I got to watch the movie I’ve spent months talking about. Hah yes, I can finally stop avoiding spoilers like the plague it’s been a nightmare, especially since post streaming people have dropped the spoiler warnings for a lot of posts. I’m so excited, and I’ve got my work cut out for me in updating my Ghost Lore notes to post Rite Here Rite Now accuracy!!!

Ok people, crash course on the internet and social media!

Just because you see someone say something online doesn’t mean it’s true! And absolutely doesn’t constitute reason to target another person! God cancel culture is insufferable! Maybe you could try and keep your nose out of other peoples business and focus on your own shit, not something that maybe happened (with no proof, all ‘evidence’ goes to twitter/x.com and points to inaccurate info being spread). The internet warps everything, think long and hard before you follow the opinion of the flock, just because it prevails doesn’t mean it’s right (like so many things in current society). I will never believe allegations that come out of twitter, that is a platform of BS and lies, and BS lies!

If my queue gets weird in the next day or two, it’s because once again I have had no internet literally all day and the tiny bit of mobile data I have access to (it’s an area coverage problem not a limited data plan) is apparently not enough to run basic tumblr functions such as show images and reblog posts. If it looks like it didn’t queue, I’ll queue it again. Often accidentally queueing the same post three times over.

Also, if you’re ever in an area of England where you can’t get BT or Virgin and you can only get Link Broadband, don’t do it. They cut our service to a shared network without permission once, they have shitty download speeds even if you pay for the higher rate. And they are constantly having unscheduled outages that they later put on their website after the fact to claim it’s maintenance. Basically it’s a 2/10 service and you should steer clear.

Just wondering but does know how fix any problems or a really big one involving an expired SSL certificate that stops you from fully accessing the internet?
