We get talking eyes, even with wacky self-awareness. At least it's not just several pages of nothing but black and speech bubbles like certain pages of Deegan.
Unfortunately the only person who can help him is the Ambiguously Autistic Alligator. Okay I think Izzy is less autistic and more schizophrenic.

McDonogh Students Touch Eagle Head for Good Luck

Game time becomes real when McDonogh’s teams walk out of the locker room and, on the way to their field of play, pause to rub their hands against the stone, cold Eagle head.
“Once we walk out in our lines and touch the eagle, it is game time,” said McDonogh Girls Varsity Lacrosse team captain Sam Thacker ‘19. “The mentality switches from before we get to the eagle and once we are there. The team can feel it. We are relatively quiet and when it's your turn to touch the eagle, that’s your moment when you tap into game mode.”
With the McDonogh-Gilman game and playoff games quickly approaching, students will especially be found rubbing their hands against the stone eagle head for good luck before they face off. Eddie the Eagle, which is perched upon a marble pedestal, sits behind the Rollins-Luetkemeyer center near memorial court and at the heart of all McDonogh sports and athletic fields.
Mickey Deegan, the longtime McDonogh Athletics Director, said, “The tradition of sports teams rubbing the nose or the fin or the hand, even UMBC has the retriever, is a sign of good luck. In earlier civilizations, people would rub the stomach of the buddha. The way I look at it with the eagle is that you’re rubbing its head for inspiration to be wise because you’re touching its brain. You can always play tough and not give up, but half the time you win on the field if you use your brain.”
The tradition began with a few students hoping for luck, and it has stayed and spread ever since.
“I love the fact that everybody goes out and does that,” said Nancy Love, the former Girls Varsity Lacrosse coach. “For me, it really is more about that even though we’re all playing sports in a different arena, we all have this common foundation, strength, and pride that represents something bigger than our own sport.”
Deegan, Thacker, and Ethan Robinson ‘20, a Varsity Football starter, all also mentioned that this tradition brings a deeper sense of meaning, connects all sports, and brings the community closer.
Robinson said, “Everyone touches the eagle no matter who it is, what sport you play or how old you are. If you are apart of the mcdonogh community, you touch the eagle. When touching it, it reminds me of the alumni, the athletes, and people of the mcdonogh community who have paved the way for future students.”
Many athletes touch the eagle to carry on tradition, but many have also said that doing so prepares them mentally for their upcoming game or practice. “It definitely helps you prepare for the game,” Robinson said. “It helps me settle down and realize who and what I’m playing for.”
The athletic programs at McDonogh have a gained a reputation for success and talent across all sports. With Eddie the Eagle continuously providing good luck and mental support for the athletes, McDonogh can only look forward to the same kind of success in the future.
“I never tell people to do it,” Deegan said of this tradition. “They just do it. It’s a way for kids to connect with their school mascot. It’s a strong bird. It’s a beautiful bird.”

Wah wah waaaah.
So, few people know about guardians existence? Oh god. I already got done riffing a comic about an agency going after paranormal entities only our protagonists know about. Let me guess, Peter's father is part of that agency.
But I'd say this is a good cliffhanger for us. Is Ezzy able to prove the existence of asshole duckmen and wacky worms? How much more will Peter fuck up? What other totally realistic autobiographical events from Jon's life will happen in this comic? How much more relatable will Chelsea get? How much more offensive will Izzy get? Find out later, now it's time to go back to Dominic Deegan for the first time in 6 years!
