Lost Your Car Keys on a Trip? Here’s What to Do Immediately
Losing your car keys during a trip can be incredibly stressful, especially when you're far from home and don’t have a spare. Whether you’re heading out for a holiday, commuting for work, or simply out for the day, losing access to your vehicle can disrupt everything.
If you’re facing this situation, especially with all lost car keys in Leigh or nearby areas, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get back on the road quickly and safely.
1. Don’t Panic — Retrace Your Steps
Take a deep breath and check the most likely places: your bag, pockets, around your car, or any recent stops like restaurants or shops. Sometimes, keys fall in between seats or get left behind at checkout counters.
2. Call a Lost Car Key Service Near You
When searching doesn’t work, it’s time to contact a lost car key service in Leigh or wherever you’re currently located. A professional locksmith can come to you, cut a new key, and even program a replacement key fob on the spot—no need to tow your vehicle to a dealership.
Local locksmiths like WN7 Car Keys offer quick, mobile services for situations just like this.
3. Be Ready with Vehicle Information
To speed things up, provide details such as:
Car make and model
Year of registration
Your exact location
Proof of ownership (like insurance or vehicle registration)
This helps the technician prepare the right key and tools before arriving.
4. Avoid Expensive & Time-Consuming Options
Many drivers assume the only option is the dealership. But that usually means towing your car, waiting days for a new key, and paying a premium. A local locksmith offers a faster, more affordable alternative, especially if you're stuck with lost car keys in Leigh or nearby.
5. Get a Spare Key to Avoid Future Hassles
Once you’ve got your new key, ask the technician to cut a spare. Keeping an extra key at home or with someone you trust can save you time, stress, and money in the long run.
Why Leigh Drivers Trust WN7 Car Keys
If you’ve lost all your car keys in or around Leigh, WN7 Car Keys offers expert solutions:

Steps To Follow After You Lose Your Suzuki Key: Your Way To Locksmith!
Ever been in a rush and just found out your Suzuki key is lost when you begin probing in your pockets? Panic sets in. You check every pocket, look around in the car, and retrace your steps. But still, no luck. It's frustrating to lose a key, especially when you're locked out of your car or home, but do not panic! There's always a solution, as a calm mind carries the right remedy for every situation. Be it getting a spare key, calling a locksmith, or visiting a dealership, we got you. Here's what you need to do next!
● Keep Your Composure and Start Looking Again
Rewind your mind a little. You're now tranquil and you've done searching. The keys slip under very small areas: under bags, between the seats of a car, and behind big furniture. Be vigilant of what is around you. If you last were in a public place, ask around: sometimes a good Samaritan has picked up your Suzuki key and turned it in.
● Look for a Spare Key
If your Suzuki has a spare key, now is the best time to use it. Look through your home, wallet, or key-holder for an extra key. If you have given a spare to a friend or family member, call them. A spare key can avert a lot of trouble and expense.
● Determine Whether Your Key Has a Key Code
The majority of Suzuki keys have their specific key code written on a key tag which comes along with the vehicle. In the event that you have this tag, you can get a new key cut using that code at a dealership or locksmith. But don't worry if you don't have your key code. A locksmith can help you.
● Call a Trusted Locksmith
A locksmith is generally the quickest and cheapest way to get a new Suzuki key. Find a trusted locksmith near you who specializes in car keys. They will cutting but may also program the key for you if your Suzuki uses a transponder key.
● Visit a Suzuki Dealership
If you want the key to be an original copy from Suzuki, your best bet would be a visit to its dealership. They will make you a factory replacement key. However, the process may involve hefty charges as well as time consumption.
● Get Yourself a Keyless Entry System
For those times that you lose your key almost every time, a keyless entry system may prove to be a very successful option for you. Most modern Suzuki cars usually get the option of keyless entry. It is possible to get an aftermarket keyless system installed as well.
Conclusion
Stressful, losing your Suzuki key. And the world is not going to just end around this event. Breathe; search carefully now, and if there is a spare available, use it. If not, you call the locksmith and he will provide a quick budget alternative. Visit a dealership if you require an original key.

How Does a Car Key Maker Near Me Compare to Dealerships in Terms of Price and Turnaround Time?
When you need a replacement car key, the decision often boils down to choosing between a dealership and a local car key maker near you. While both options provide similar end results, they differ significantly in terms of price and turnaround time. Here’s a closer look at how they compare to help you make the best choice.

Price Comparison
Dealership Costs:
Dealerships are known for charging premium prices for car key replacements. The cost typically includes key cutting, programming, and additional fees. Depending on the type of key, dealership prices can range from $150 for traditional keys to $500 or more for smart keys.
Car Key Maker Costs:
A local car key maker near you offers a much more budget-friendly alternative. Their services are often 30% to 50% cheaper than dealerships. For example, replacing a transponder key might cost $100 to $200, and a key fob could range from $150 to $300. Mobile locksmiths also eliminate extra costs like towing since they come to you.
Turnaround Time
Dealership Timeframes:
Getting a replacement key from a dealership can take hours or even days. This is because dealerships often rely on ordering parts and specialized equipment, which may not always be readily available. Additionally, you may need to wait in line or schedule an appointment, further delaying the process.
Car Key Maker Turnaround:
A car key maker near you typically offers much faster service. Many locksmiths provide on-the-spot key cutting and programming, allowing you to get a replacement key in under an hour. Mobile locksmiths are especially convenient because they come directly to your location and handle the job immediately.
Convenience and Accessibility
Dealerships:
While dealerships offer high-quality services, they’re often located in central areas that require you to travel. If your car key is lost or broken, this could mean paying for a tow.
Local Car Key Makers:
A local car key maker provides unmatched convenience. Mobile locksmiths travel to your home, office, or roadside location, saving you time and effort. Their flexibility ensures you receive assistance when and where you need it.
Choosing a car key maker near me is often the smarter choice for price, speed, and convenience. While dealerships can be reliable, they tend to be more expensive and slower. Opting for a trusted local locksmith ensures you get a quality replacement key quickly and affordably, without the hassle of dealership delays.

Upgrade Your Car Key To A Smart Key Fob
The latest generation of car keys is designed to improve your driving experience. You might wonder if there's any difference between a traditional car key and a smart car key fob. Let's explore what makes these keys different and how they work together.
Smart Car Key Fobs
A smart car key fob is a remote control for unlocking and starting your car. It allows you to access your vehicle from anywhere with the press of a button. This is handy if you need to leave the house quickly or want to unlock your car while walking towards it. A smart key fob is more secure than traditional keys because it uses a chip that stores information about who has access rights and when those rights were last used.

Smart key fobs don't have moving parts; they use radio waves sent out by an antenna inside the fob to communicate with your car’s electronics. This makes them more reliable and less prone to mechanical issues compared to traditional keys. Additionally, smart key fobs don't require frequent battery changes, reducing the risk of losing power when you need it most.
How Smart Car Keys Work
Smart car keys are a modern way to secure your vehicle. With car theft on the rise and the cost of traditional keys increasing, it's important to know how these devices can help keep your car safe. A smart key fob is attached to your key ring and used instead of a traditional key to enter and leave your car.
Unlike other smart devices like smartphones, a smart key fob isn't an upgrade but another method of securing your vehicle. If someone tries to break into your car while you’re away, the smart key fob's security features can make it much harder for them to succeed.
Why Choose a Smart Car Key Fob?
Car key replacement with smart key fobs is more secure than traditional keys. A smart key fob allows you to lock and unlock your vehicle from anywhere, even if you're far from your car or its engine is off. This is especially useful for people who own multiple vehicles and don’t want to manage multiple sets of keys.
While smart key fobs are convenient, they come at a higher cost than traditional locksets. If you just need a basic key for locking up, a smart key fob might not be necessary.
What If You Lose Your Car Key?
If you lose your car key, there are a few options for car key replacement. You can get a replacement from the dealership where you bought your car. Dealerships usually have an online form to request new keys, which can be delivered within 24 hours. Alternatively, you can contact a professional car key maker for quick help.
Alternatively, you can find an aftermarket key fob online and order one yourself. Websites like Amazon offer various options for purchasing replacement fobs. If you lose your original key fob, you can quickly get a new one without too much hassle, provided you have access to the internet.
Understanding the differences between traditional car keys and smart car key fobs can help you decide which is best for you. Smart key fobs offer convenience and enhanced security, making them a popular choice for modern drivers. If you ever need a car key replacement, knowing your options can save you time and stress.

Dictators, fascists, and oligarchs want us to believe that they are all-powerful and that we would be nothing without them. The reality is: They don’t create anything. We, the people, create EVERYTHING!
I made this poster for the Justseeds graphics library and it’s under a creative commons license and free to download and use! More details + download high-res files on my website: here.
Inspired by this passage from the Daniel Hunter article 10 ways to be prepared and grounded now that Trump has won:
“It will be helpful to have a power analysis in our minds, specifically that’s known as the upside-down triangle. This tool was built to explain how power moves even under dictatorships. The central tenet is that like an upside-down triangle, power can be unstable. It naturally topples over without anything supporting it. To prevent that, power relies on pillars of support to keep it upright. Casually, the left often focuses on pillars of support that include governments, media, corporations, shareholders and policy makers. Describing the pillars of support, Gene Sharp wrote: ‘By themselves, rulers cannot collect taxes, enforce repressive laws and regulations, keep trains running on time, prepare national budgets, direct traffic, manage ports, print money, repair roads, keep markets supplied with food, make steel, build rockets, train the police and army, issue postage stamps or even milk a cow. People provide these services to the ruler though a variety of organizations and institutions. If people would stop providing these skills, the ruler could not rule.’ Removing one pillar of support can often gain major, life-saving concessions. In response to Trump’s 2019 government shutdown, flight attendants prepared a national strike. Such a strike would ground planes across the country and a key transportation network. Within hours of announcing they were “mobilizing immediately” for a strike, Trump capitulated.”

"What do I do if my marriage gets dissolved?"
SO, your state is trying to overturn gay marriage, huh? Wish I could say I'm surprised, buuuuuuuut, I'm not. Good-ish news: I'm a medical social worker. I'm semi prepared for this!
If the state you currently reside in outlaws and dissolves your marriage, you are going to need DOCUMENTS. Documents documents DOCUMENTS!!
"What documents, Jay?" Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare. Durable Power of Attorney for Finances. Living Will. Actual Will. There are probably more but boy howdy these are the BIG ONES. Why? Because these documents are what we in healthcare, those in law enforcement, and those in the court/property law system use to designate your Next Of Kin.
NEXT OF KIN means a lot of things SOCIALLY, but legally? Your next of kin is the person who is LEGALLY RECOGNIZED as having default decision-making power for you. Documents specifying a Decision Maker are often called ADVANCED DIRECTIVES. This means you complete these documents, under your own volition, as set of instructions to be followed if you later become incapacitated.
"What the hell does incapacitated mean?" It means you aren't clinically dead BUT it has been determined that you are unable to safely make your own decisions. Examples of incapacitation include being: unconscious or in a coma; being conscious but permanently mentally unsound due to dementia or a traumatic brain injury; being temporarily mentally incapacitated due to a psychiatric episode.
"What does my decision maker do?" Simply put, they make decisions on your behalf. And actually, if the precious, precious documents are completed correctly and thoroughly, they mostly give voice to your wishes. They are the one (or ones) who decide:
"Burial or cremation?"
"Do you want an autopsy?"
"Who is to be informed of this death and invited to the funerary service?"
OR
"Will you be suspending curative efforts or switching to hospice?"
"Will you be placing [patient] into a care home or keeping them with you?"
"Do you consent to homecare services?"
"Do you accept the current diagnosis or do you wish to hear additional opinions?"
OR
"Do you want to try an organ transplant?"
"Do you want to enroll in a clinical trial?"
"Are we permitted to perform blood transfusions on this patient?"
"Are we permitted to provide this patient with psychiatric interventions?"
OR
"Are we putting this money into a trust or dividing it among family members?"
"Are we selling this house or gifting it to an heir?"
"Are we selling the deceased patient's furniture or donating it?"
"Are we burying this body or giving it to science?"
That is for Durable Powers of Attorney, both healthcare and financial.
"What's a living will, then?" is a detailed list of instructions left regarding care during your period of incapacitation, especially when Death is the expected outcome. Where as a DPOA might specify only a few short things: "No ventilator" or "Don't donate my heart, take everything else" or "No pig valves, not even to save me", a living will can be more elaborate, and doesn't necessarily name a singular decision maker. Many states in the US do not treat living wills as legally binding. But, in the absence of more concrete documents, they can be a valuable guide for family members and key members of your care team. We encourage these often in palliative and end of life care, due to those patients being at risk for extended periods of incapacitation.
If you have MS, Huntingtons, Cerebral Palsy, HiV, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder or a history of psychosis, a family history of Alzheimers and/or Parkinsons and/or Vascular Dementia, I urge you to consider a living will. If you do extreme sports or otherwise frequently risk severe head trauma and/or prolonged oxygen deprivation, I strongly urge you to consider a living will. If you have a history of severe substance abuse and/or suicide attempts, I strongly urge you to consider a living will.
"Ha! No WAY man, I ain't signing away my rights to NOBODY. I'm staying in control 'til the moment I die." Unfortunately, no. You will not. If you are unconscious, you cannot make choices. If you become too psychotic to find your way outside and collapse from dehydration because you think your tap water is poison, they will not let you make your own decisions. If you begin suffering from dementia and believe your are seven years old and still in your hometown, they will not let you make your own decisions. If you are effectively brain-dead but breathing on your own, you cannot make your own decisions.
I have had many patients who thought it worked like this, and I have needed to explain to them that their logic is flawed. Your refusal to acknowledge these laws does not exempt you from them, and if you do not choose an advocate/decision-maker ahead of time and then are determined to need one, The System will simply choose for you.
"If I don't pick somebody, who gets to make decisions about my care?" Your next of kin. Who your next of kin is determined be goes like this:
Do you have a LEGALLY MARRIED SPOUSE? If yes, that is your next of kin. Marriage trumps everything else. Keep in mind, if you are living apart from a person you are not "with" but are still LEGALLY married to, that person is still next of kin. Even you no longer speak to them regularly, they can absolutely seize power over your healthcare and your finances. Even if you are currently legally married to your first choice decision maker, fill it out anyway. They are actively working to strip us of our rights, so dig your heels in.
If there is no spouse, they will seek out any adult children you may have, and assign Next of Kin to the eldest one.
If there are no adult children, they will seek out your parents. Yes, even if you are an out and proud trans lesbian, and they are aggressively cruel MAGA cultists who exclusively refer to you through the use of slurs.
If there are no parents, they will seek out your siblings and give decision making over to the either the oldest one. Or, more often at this point, whoever picks up the phone first. Yes, even if you hate your siblings, they have a much firmer claim over you than your friends or your partner in a world without marriage equality.
If there is NO biological family willing to step up and make choices for you, THEN they will turn to friends and unmarried partners, but, the bio family can sue to reclaim their rights at any time.
"Jay, that's not true!! When I was in the hospital and couldn't speak for myself, I didn't have that filled out and they still knew to call my girlfriend instead of my mom. Doctors understand that families are complicated, they wouldn't do this!"
I have watched this happen. I have watched lovers and friends and "chosen family members" who lived with the patient for years be tossed out like fucking trash in favor of blood relatives the patient despised, all because those same lovers and friends couldn't be bothered to sign two sheets of paper one time. While I am thrilled for those of you who have escaped this sort of nightmare, not everyone will be as astronomically lucky as you were. Doctors are fully capable of picking and choosing their moment when it comes to using "protocol" to hurt you, and the sheer number of institutions meekly showing Trump their belly should make you think twice before trusting a bureaucratic machine to protect your rights out of compassion.

First scenario, first time posting my writing! This prompt is taken from this https://www.tumblr.com/kaiist/780734088188428288/ post by @kaiist please check it out because without them, I would have never gotten the courage to write, and they're really good! (Also, I apologize for the 3rd person, I cannot get my brain to figure out 2nd for the life of me.)
Without further rambling, How the LaDs boys react when you accidentally break something of theirs:
~~~~~Xavier~~~~~
If it was a mission, The Hunter was determined to complete it to perfection no matter how silly, so when Xavier asked her to wake him up? She was going to do it right. Finding the spare /key/ was the first challenge but once inside things went smoothly. The first attempt at getting Xavier up, he managed to keep his eyes open for 5 minutes. A new record for him waking up. Not enough to stay awake though, so, the next plan? Coffee.
Finding the beans was easy, from there it seemed like everything else would go smoothly. Even if the coffee maker seemed ancient to her, she could figure it out. After a moment of experimenting, water poured into the mug through the espresso puck. Before the soft drip turned into a loud screech, then a whistle, before stopping completely. Officially dying letting out residual groans as the final bits of water splashed out.
“What was that?” Xavier walked out rubbing his eyes, before staring down at his broken coffee maker, then on The Hunter; her gaze locked onto the piece of machinery as if taking it apart.
“I- ….It just happened. I don't even. “ She huffed and glared at it, words escaping her- torn between frustration at the machine, and herself. All before she glared at him, not truly upset, but looking for an outlet, “It's too ancient to function anyway.”
“Is that meant to be an apology or an accusation?” His steps were unhurried as he walked beside her, easily accepting her frustration as he attempted to work out what had happened.
“I don't know.” She confessed, “I'm sorry…I didn’t mean to.” Her voice was small, barely audible as the machine finally let out its last whistle before turning off.
“It's ancient.” He repeated back, if only to see her nod and look less defeated. “I'm sure somewhere I have a guide to fix it.”
“Are you even qualified to?” The glare softened to a look of curiosity, the same one she often had when engaging with Xavier.
“I'm sure I have a degree…somewhere?”
“Wait- why aren't you just replacing it?! I'll pay for it.” She sputtered out grabbing at his hoodie tightly.
“And food?” Finally, The Hunter's self pitying look was fully replaced with fond exasperation- much better suited to her. “Hot pot. You did break my coffee maker after all.” He couldn't help but tease.
“I did. Only, if you let me get you one that doesn't look like it was made before Linkon was founded.”
“Sure.” He yawned once more, sure coffee would be nice, or more sleep. But she wasn't going to take ‘it's fine’ for an answer, and Xavier couldn't give up spending more time with her with what little he had.
~~~~~Zayne~~~~~
Running through the train station trying to catch the train she should've caught 20 minutes ago, was not The Hunter's idea of fun. Of course she had no control over her alarm not going off, or her gun taking forever to service at the association, nor the foot traffic at the station itself. She could only pray that Zayne had left safely and she could give him his jacket when they met up at the mountain again. He was already so cold, and as much as she teased him, she didn't want him to /literally/ freeze.
Once her feet finally touched the solid ground of the metal train she finally allowed herself to breathe a sigh of relief. Relaxing just barely, she had to pray it wasn't too late, but the slight reprieve was worthy of slight relaxation. Zayne's coat laid folded in her lap, she watched the scenery change from the bustle of city life to snowy and rural. The view however, was thoroughly ignored as she over-thought their schedule, scrolling on her watch to make sure her tardiness wouldn't disrail plans too much. It wasn't til the train reached the station and she stood up things went wrong. A stray piece of metal on the seat wasn't fully secured, as she stood, she was forced to watch the once pristine coat gain an extra hole it shouldn't have.
Of course she planned to walk to William's house to meet up with Zayne, and planned to borrow his jacket for it till they met; alas it seemed like luck wasn't on her side. Instead she spent the walk overthinking all the things she could do to apologize while freezing cold and nervous. Wondering if a hunter's salary could even cover a surgeon's tastes no matter how modest they were, and if she could repay it in cake.
“You're late are you alr-” Her footsteps must have given her away, Zayne turned to face her. It gave her a perfect view to watch his expression go from relaxed, to mildly pinched. It was subtle, but far too obvious for those fluent in Zayne. His steps were measured and efficient as he walked to her side, feeling her cheeks between his palms silently even as she flushed and sighed in embarrassment.
“Zayne.”
The call was meant with a simple hum, far too focused on checking her fingers, they were too red, too cold.
“Zayne. I need to apologize.”
“For ignoring doctor's orders?” His voice was clinical, more “Doctor Zayne” less her "Zayne”.
“I didn't mean to but I ripped your coat.” She bit against her lip, the pink skin turning white as she tried to meet his gaze.
“My-” He finally looked down at her, noticing the anxiety hidden in her faux nonchalant expression. It wasn't like he didn't notice the fabric between her arms; but it was just that, fabric, not the person shivering and red.
“I'll buy you cake.” She said quickly, insistent on the matter to alleviate unnecessary guilt.
He sighed, she was once again ignoring what really mattered. She could've gotten hypothermia walking in the snow from the station. It was a jacket, he had what felt like hundreds; there was only one of her. “How about sitting in front of the fire before we leave.”
“And that-”
“And we'll consider this repayment /and/ doctors orders.” A small smile graced his face, he wasn't mad, he hoped she didn't think he was. So when she smiled up at him mischief once again filling her eyes he felt relieved.
“I'm terrible at following those.”
“But as repayment for my coat?”
“I guess I can try.”
~~~~~Rafayel~~~~~
It took a lot of pushing, but finally she managed to get Rafayel to actually *do* his work; forcing him to talk to Thomas about the newest gallery. This left her alone in the studio, a place she rarely found herself in /alone/. Forced to stare down at the large amounts of paintings, both in progress and finished pieces. She didn't fully understand art in the way Rafayel did, most of the time she wasn't sure they were speaking the same language; but it was something she could appreciate anyway. As her eyes danced around each and every canvas she finally spotted something new, a silver frame just barely visible behind a curtain.
Unable to ignore the siren call of the unknown she hurriedly went to crouch in front of it, moving the curtain. As her hand went to brace against the wall she was only met with it sliding through the canvas. A hole in what was once the skyline of Linkon at sunset. She couldn't bring herself to move, her hand bracing against the wall, through the painting, but at least she was stable so she did not ruin more. She had to think strategically before she moved and made it worse. Slowly, she turned her hand before pushing her arm back out. Maybe it was a lost cause, but she couldn't take back what had happened. It wasn't till it her hand was safely on the other side, that she finally let herself assess the damage; her stomach dropping as it occurred to her just how unfixable it was. Her heart raced as she heard footsteps come back into the studio.
“Cutie?” Rafayel's voice finally reached her ears as the door opened. The gentle nickname only managed to pull more concrete guilt from her stomach, rooting her more into place.
“Oh- the feature piece!” Thomas sounded stressed, it wasn't malicious The Hunter was sure of that, but it felt her gut was punctured by a wanderer.
“I-” Words failed her as she tried to think of the right thing to say, if it was a genuine apology or a joke.
Before she could even decide on what would be best, Rafayel spoke again, “I agree.”
“What?” Both the hunter and Thomas whipped around to look at Rafayel, his face only revealing a smile as his hand rested on his chin.
“I also thought I could've done better too, who would've thought Ms.Bodyguard paid enough attention to my ramblings to realize it on her own. In fact…”
With a snap of his fingers a fire caught on the edge of a painting still on the easel, burning a hole through the canvas. Leaving the others in the room shocked as hours of work burned away in front of their eyes.
“I should redo the whole collection.” Rafayel pondered aloud, his back turned away from the hunter so as to not betray his expression before the performance finished.
“Wait- no don't they were good! I don't know a thing about art!” She scrambled to grab onto Rafayel and nullify his evol before the whole studio of works crumbled.
As the preformance was forcibly ended early, he turned around unable to stop more joyous laughs escaping his lips. To him, the paintings didn't matter as much as wiping that shocked look off her face. If he had to, more would've been destroyed; at least till she finally realized one ruined piece meant nothing.
~~~~~Sylus~~~~~
Luke and Kirean had become regular friends to hangout with in the mildly overwhelming, ever growing list of people in The Hunter's social circle. Whether it was simply kitty cards, pranking Sylus, or any number of ideas they considered “fun”. There was always something to do. Today was no exception, together they ran through the shelves of vinyls in Sylus’ collection, sure they had no real measure of music in the first place- but they knew enough to judge a few “vintage” pieces.
“I know this one!” The Hunter exclaimed with joy as her fingers grabbed onto a case pulling it off the shelf. Finally in the sea of opera and classics, something modern and recognizable.
“Ah, the boss’ pet is still so smart.” Luke spoke from behind her, a laugh stuck in his throat; amused by her shocked expression.
Rolling her eyes she turned it over to look at the list of songs. The swift moment just enough to give everyone a front row view of the record rolling out of the case- and shattering on the floor.
“Decorating the floor now, kitten?” Sylus’ voice appeared from behind her. Immediately, she whipped around yet all she could see was his red eyes. The twins must've ran once they heard Sylus to avoid trouble.
“I-” Her hands gripped tighter to the empty cardboard her heart raced as she tried to huridly think of something to say, “I'm sorry.”
“Sorry?” He braced his hands against her hips, gazing into her eyes, measuring how far he could push her before he couldn't stand her sorrow.
“We were just looking, I can replace it.” Her words spoke pinched off, quiet. It was already too much to bare, his fun needed to be cut short today it seemed.
“Replace it?” He watched her face blanch before he sighed softly, “I can buy the whole store kitten.” He would, for her if she wanted him to. She didn't need to stress about one record. It was simple child's play to him, he loved her- it was only natural to cover for mistakes.
“I can't just let you pay for something I broke.” She huffed her cheeks out, her pride ruffled and her mind thoroughly switched from guilt, to trying to prevent his dominating of the conversation. It was cute the way she thought she didn't already have him wrapped around her finger.
“How about you sing me the songs off it instead, I heard you say you knew them?” He countered, ever the master of negotiation.
“...Fine.” She pulled him towards the couch, practically stomping. It was adorable, really, even if rather dramatic. Oh well, he would never turn down a deal in his favor when it came to his mate.
~~~~~Caleb~~~~~
It wasn't that often the hunter had enough time off to visit Caleb in Skyhaven, even less often for a full week. So they tried to make their limited time count, working out with each other, being dragged along to every possible place Caleb thought was worthy of showing off, and proper meal times with Caleb's cooking. It was rare that Caleb wasn't already up, and planning by the time she awoke. Determined to jam-pack as much fun together in his schedule possible. By some miracle today however, The Hunter managed to wake up before him.
Normally Caleb cooked, nearly insisting upon keeping her out of the kitchen. But, today was special. She had to make this rare occasion of being up first count. It wasn't like she couldn't cook at all, he just prefered to do it. Today she'd prove her cooking skills, and maybe he'd stop teasing her over it. Sliding on an apron of Caleb's shs started running along his kitchen. Setting to work making congee and pancakes. The time was so limited before Caleb woke up, so she had no choice but to hurry.
“Pipsqueak?” Of course just thinking of him made him appear, half awake, deep voiced- and completely out of nowhere. The hunter jumped and whipped around to face him.
It wasn't long till the scent of burning fabric reached both their noses, forcing the apron to be stripped off, burning from quick touch against the hot stove. Working together the small fire was stomped out before it got worse. Hearts raced as they stared down at the smoldering pile of fabric. Finally they both looked up, eyes meeting each other, guilt met with fear. A silent war breaking out for who'd break the tension first.
“Im sorry I-” The Hunter won out nervously.
“I haven't seen you fail like that in ages.” Caleb settled on a joke as his brain finally caught up to his eyes and he realized she was okay, that the danger had passed.
“I was trying to be nice,” Her arms crossed over her chest as she stared up at Caleb, gaining some of her confidence back with Caleb's nonchalant stance.
“Come on Pipsqueak, you know I spoil you when you visit. ‘Prevents things like this.” Really he just liked spoiling her, listening to her protests that it was too much; but smiling and loving it anyway.
“I said I was sorry.” Her cheeks puffed out with frustration before she sighed, “I really didn't mean to.”
“It's an apron, don't stress about it, you'll get more wrinkles.” He said with a ruffle of her hair, tension easing out of his body with each minute of normalcy between them. “Let's just finish cooking before the rest of it burns.” Things were safe and she was there in his safe embrace, everything else could be settled by him.
Solo Sikoa x Kyra(Black OC)
Warning: mentions of sex
Word count: 2.1k
Part 1: Introduction
After 14 hours of travel from Florida, I'm standing in Kahului Airport with my boyfriend, Christian. We're here for my favorite cousin Alyssa's destination wedding, and to enjoy some alone time to rekindle the romance in our relationship. We've been together for two years, but the relationship has been a bit rocky lately due to arguments over conflicting schedules—mainly on Christian’s part, since he often takes extra shifts at work. So, this alone time is exactly what we need—no distractions.
As we navigate through the busy airport, I receive a call.
"Hello?"
"Hey Ky, it's Ashley!"
"Heyyy girl, what's up?!"
"Nothing much! I'm the one picking you guys up from the airport. I'm outside right now."
"We're getting ready to walk out now."
We step out of the airport, greeted by the sounds of buzzing tourists, locals, moving cars, and buses passing by. To my left, I see Krystal waving her hands and screaming in the distance. When we get closer, a man hops out of a vehicle and loads our luggage, while she jumps into my arms.
"We're going to have so much fun this weekend!! Did Alyssa send you the itinerary?"
"Yes, girl, but I’m not doing all that! She must be crazy if she's planning my every minute here. I’m just here to watch her get married and relax with my man."
We hop into the truck and head to the hotel. The drive is beautiful, the lush greenery, the charming homes, the land—the scenery is breathtaking. About thirty minutes later, we arrive at The Four Seasons. As we pull up, a friendly valet and concierge staff greet us, offering leis while beautiful music plays.
"Aloha, welcome," they say in unison.
"Aloha, thank you so much. This is beautiful."
"Just like you, baby," Christian adds as he kisses me softly on the cheek.
The driver unloads our luggage, and the valet escorts us to the check-in desk. The lobby has an open-concept design, with huge columns and polished floors leading to the reception area.
"Aloha, I’m checking in for Kyra," I tell the desk clerk.
"Aloha, let me get you checked in and your key cards," she replies.
As she types away on her computer, I can hear waves crashing. Turning to my right, I see the beach and the ocean in the distance.
"Here’s your key card and receipt. Your concierge will escort you to your room. Enjoy your stay!"
"Thank you so much!" I reply
I grab my purse and head over to the lounge area, overhearing Christian talking about football.
"This season is going to be good—you got everything you need, baby?"
"Sure did."
"Well, let’s show you your suite," the concierge says.
As we're being led to our suite, I’m in awe of the gorgeous infinity pool, tall palm trees, spacious cabanas, and direct access to the beach.
"This resort is breathtaking," I say.
"What brought you here? Couples’ getaway?" he asks us.
"Kinda. My cousin is getting married here this weekend."
"Ohhhh, you're with the Mr. and Mrs. Johnson party?"
"Yes, sir," I reply.
"That’s amazing. I’ll be their personal assistant here as well."
"That’s great."
Christian is so in his phone he’s not paying attention at all. By the time we finish talking, we arrive at our suite. I hand him the key card, and he opens the door, bringing in our bags. The moment I step inside, I’m hit with the soothing scent of lavender.
"Welcome to your Club Oceanfront Prime Suite. My name is Derrick, by the way. Your room is designed with a modern look, featuring beautiful Hawaiian art on the walls, a coffee maker, a kettle for tea and hot chocolate, HD TVs in the living room and bedroom."
He leads us into the bedroom, which is huge.
"You have a spacious room with a king-size bed, a couch, a table. This and the living room have access to the balcony with views of the ocean and beach. We also have a gorgeous full marble bathroom with his-and-her sinks, a tub, and a shower for your choosing."
"How does room service work?" Christian asks.
"We offer 24-hour room service. Anytime you're hungry, you can use the tablet in the front room to order food for your suite. You can also contact me directly from there."
"That’s great! Did you have any other questions, baby?" I ask.
"Nope. Thank you so much, Derrick."
Christian walks him to the door, and I step out onto the balcony to sit in the lounge area, feeling the breeze on my skin and enjoying the fresh air.
"We’re going to have so much fun on this balcony," Christian smirks, joining me on the couch and kissing me so deeply it causes a tingle in my core.
"I can’t wait, baby, but let me call my cousin and check on her," I say.
I head back into the living room, stretch out on the couch, and scroll through my contacts to call Alyssa.
"Hello?"
"Heyyyy, bride-to-be! What’s up?!"
"Fav cousin! I’m so happy you made it!!"
"I wouldn’t miss this at all, boo! What are we getting into tonight?"
"We’re meeting up at 7:30 in my mom’s suite for some food and drinks. Tomorrow, we have a spa day and a dinner party. Brandon’s friends should be here by then."
"Okay, cool. I can’t wait! I’ll go take a nap and then head over. Text me auntie room number so I’ll know where to go."
"Okay, boo. See you then. Love you."
"Love you too."
After hanging up, I spent the next 20 minutes unpacking, hanging up my clothes, and arranging my shoes and toiletries in the bathroom. I grab my blanket, wrap up my boho braids, settle next to my boo, and drift off to sleep.
I'm awakened by Christian shaking me and the sound of my alarm blaring in the background.
"It's time to get up, baby," he says, kissing me on the cheek.
I get up to brush my teeth, wash my face, and then head to grab my two-piece black shorts set I brought from Shein, some stud earrings, and my favorite black platform sandals. I moisturize with my Bath & Body Works Into the Night lotion and spritz on my Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth perfume. I'm the type of girlfriend that makes my man match with me, so he’s also in an all-black fit, with some black Forces and his Kenneth Cole cologne.
There's a knock on the door—it’s Derrick.
“Hey, Mrs. Johnson sent me to show you where the party will be tonight. Are you ready?”
I grab my purse, and we're out the door. The walk to my auntie’s suite is gorgeous. We notice someone running around lighting torches around the resort.
“What’s he doing?” Christian asks.
“It’s a nightly lighting ceremony. He blows a conch shell, then starts lighting the torches,” I explain.
We arrive at her suite, and she suddenly opens the door, drunk as hell, screaming.
“There’s my favorite niece, Ky!” she shouts, opening her arms and wrapping me in a squeeze.
“Hey, Auntie Golden. I see you’ve already started partying,” I chuckle.
She releases me and pulls Christian and me inside.
“Thank you, Derrick, for bringing them,” she says, sliding him a $20 and shaking his hand.
“Have a good night, ma’am,” Derrick replies.
“I hope she’s been acting right, nephew,” she says to Christian.
“She’s been iight,” he chuckles.
I side eye him, but then turned my attention to the suite.
Her suite is like a three-bedroom apartment, it’s hugeee. We walk into the first living space, where my cousins are sitting at the table playing UNO.
“Hey y’all!!” I greet them.
“Hey, Ky and Christian!” they reply in unison.
“Where’s Alyssa and Brandon?” I ask.
“Outside.”
We head outside and see them cuddled up on the couch by the fire pit—they look so cute.
“Hope we’re not interrupting, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson,” I say.
“Not at all! Hey cousin, I missed you! Hey, Christian, how are you?” Alyssa asks.
“I’m doing good,” Christian replies, dapping up Brandon, and they start chatting.
“Let’s get you some food and drinks!” she suggests.
“Did you want any food or drinks?” I ask Christian.
“You know what I like, baby. I trust you,” he says, I could've dropped to my knees right there and stuffed his dick in my mouth from that comment alone.
Alyssa and I head to the other living room in the suite. We grab some sandwiches, and I get a pineapple margarita while Christian gets a Henny and Coke. Then we head back outside. I give Christian his food and drink while Alyssa and I walk to the other lounge area to talk.
“Are you nervous?” I ask her.
“Yeah, but in the end, it’ll all be worth it.”
“That’s great to hear!”
“When are you and Christian getting married?” she asks.
“Girl, I don’t know. We’ve had some rocky months leading up to this trip, but I think this will be what we need to get back on track,” I reply.
“Okay, cool. I hope everything works out for y’all.”
“So, is this everyone who will be at the wedding?”
“Nah, we’re missing Crissy, Alisha, and some of his old college friends—Roman, Jey, Jimmy, and his coworker Solo. But they’ll be here by tomorrow afternoon.”
“Okay, cool.”
We continue catching up until it’s almost midnight. We have to meet up at 10 a.m. tomorrow for our spa day, so we say our goodbyes, and Christian and I walk back to our suite.
“I’m glad we decided to come here,” I tell him.
“Me too. I needed the time off from work.”
“And some alone time, too.” I say
“Oh yeah, that’s right, baby,” he replies.
Once back in the suite, I head to the bathroom to shower, moisturize, and slip into a silk pink nightgown. When I come out, Christian is knocked out on the bed. I slid next to him and before I know it, I’m knocked out too.
My alarm wakes me up at 9:00 a.m. I roll over, and Christian isn’t there. He’s come out of the shower with a towel wrapped around him, and his dick print is sticking out.
“I have 20 minutes until I have to leave,” I say as I walk toward him and place my hand over his semi erect manhood.
“I’m so jet-lagged and tired. I’m not in the mood for sex right now, maybe tonight,” he replies.
It pissed me off to hear those words, but I don’t let it show on my face.
“I completely understand,” I say, heading to the closet to put on my outfit of the day: a gray strapless knee-length sundress, black flip-flops, and silver hoops. I let down my braids, grab my purse, and before leaving, I see him on the balcony on the phone with someone.
“Must be his brother,” I think to myself. I check myself in the mirror and head out.
When I arrive at the spa, I don’t see Alyssa, so I text her:
Me: Girl, where you at?
Fav Cousin 💕: I’m leaving my room now, girl. I’ll be there in 5 minutes.
Me: Aight.
Alyssa finally arrived, and we check in for our appointment. They take us back and provide us with the softest robes and slippers. We booked the 50-minute Aroma Journey, and whewwww! the way that man oiled me up with his big, soft hands roaming my body and rubbing my feet made me forget that I couldn’t get any dick to start my day. I fell asleep halfway through, and Alyssa had to wake me up.
I felt so rejuvenated afterward. Alyssa and I grabbed a quick lunch by the pool, then headed back to our suites for a nap before the dinner party tonight.
I entered our suite; it’s quiet, so I head to the bedroom and find Christian there, knocked out in the bed. His phone is on the nightstand, ringing off the hook. Now I wonder who that could be, I think, as I grab his phone. It only has a “D” as the contact’s name. I input his code, but he’s changed it. That makes me more curious about who that could be.
I go through two more codes, and on the final attempt, I try his mother’s birthday, it’s a success. I rush to the bathroom, lock the door, and begin scrolling through his messages with “D.” My eyes fill with tears as I read, but it’s the picture that was sent that breaks me into pieces…
