may I suggest the “Everyone breaks” / “But not you.” / “Everyone breaks. Even me” conversation for an angsty Batfamily fic? Bruce calmly explaining to each subsequent Robin that there will be a point where everyone — even him — will break under torture. because to break is to be human, ultimately. their job, just like Bruce’s, is to hold out long enough that breaking isn’t yet a possibility. long enough to be found, to be rescued, to be safe. your job is to banter, to deflect, to drag things out and speed them up where applicable. to keep away from your breaking point at all costs. because you will break. it’s not a question of if, but when. and knowing exactly where that breaking point is for yourself will always be an asset, not a liability. the people who go into interrogation assuming they will never break - those are the liabilities. they will break hard and fast because it is so unexpected.

she doesn't have a set plan, she doesn't have a system to her own brand of psychosis. in other words, she kinda just exists, in a liminality, spread thin like sea foam between various oceans, various realities ⋱⋮⋰ is it not the voyagers way? to always be searching? for meaning, for purpose, for peace... wanting both the calm and the storm ≈

𓂃𓈒𓏸𓇼 she speaks with an annoyingly persistent passion — a fire bubbling under the surface of serenity . she thrives in chaos and yet seeks solace . it is that very mirage of mellow and madness that makes her feel a million miles away at all moments of existence ... but she sorta loves that ࿐⋆˚࿔ obsessed with a multitude of hyperfixations, she surfs the balance between them with a practiced ease that mirrors a floundering turtle on its first swim .. so, no ease at all. it takes only one look at the catalogue of realities she intends to shift to in order to understand ≈

she might lack originality or maybe she’s just ridiculously comfortable in her current persona, you be judge, because you won't find much difference between the various blends of chaai from every reality ; she’s always a writer, always a singer, always a dancer, always a pluviophile — she says she wants to explore different facets of herself and will always come back to the one that feels most right, what feels the most her — in that way, she’s never really herself because she keeps trying to search for what that means ｡˚○ regardless, she won’t ever stop raving about the perfection of her realities — one might say she’s got an ego as vast as the ocean (she certainly won’t admit to it) but she genuinely believes that shifters are some of the most creative people on this planet, so obviously, that extends to her ≈
