Precautions for the use of loadbreak connectors
Load connectors can be divided into two types according to different voltages. They are high-voltage load switches and low-voltage load switches. When you operate the load switch, you need to pay attention to some things that can help you avoid trouble, check them now.
Precautions for the use of  load break connectors
A load switch is similar to a disconnector but with a simple fire extinguisher that can be used to connect or disconnect circuits that are normally overloaded. Keep the following in mind:

5. Tighten the busbar fixing bolts and connect the switch The busbar must be properly configured to prevent the load switch from withstanding the mechanical stresses from the busbar.
6. Normally, short-circuit operation is not allowed because the load switch can only be connected by interrupting the normal load current.
7. The load switch is generally operated frequently, and care must be taken not to loosen the parts after repeated operations. If the number of operations reaches the specified limit, maintenance needs to be performed. If the contacts are damaged by the arc, they will need to be repaired or replaced.
8. When using the load switch in combination with a fuse, the fuse fuse must be selected so that the fuse blows first when the fault current is greater than the cutoff capacity of the load switch.
9. After overhauling the compressed air load switch, the knife stroke and opening should be adjusted according to the rules.
10. For oil immersion load switches, always check the oil level. Fill with oil when there is a shortage of oil to prevent an explosion during operation. For safety reasons, the shell of this oil-immersed load switch must be securely grounded.
It can be divided into high voltage and low voltage load switches according to the voltage used.

1. The switch frame, protective steel pipe, etc. must not be grounded in series, and should be installed vertically;
2. Before the high-voltage load switch works, the high and low-voltage complete sets of equipment must be repeatedly tested to ensure that there is no blocking phenomenon and the closing condition of the rotation;
3. In order to fuse the fuse first when the fault current is greater than the breaking capacity of the load switch, a suitable fuse fuse should be selected in series with it;
4. During the inspection, you should pay attention to whether there is any breakage, dirt, whether the connection part is overheated, etc., and you cannot use water to flush the switch.
Low voltage load switch
You can aslo name low voltage loadbreak connectors as switch fuse groups. This is suitable when the load circuit of the AC power frequency circuit is opened and closed manually infrequently. It can also be used for line overload and short circuit protection. The on / off circuit is completed by the contact knife, and overload and short circuit protection is completed by the fuse. The opening and closing speed of the contacts of the small-capacity low-voltage load switch is related to the operating speed of the handle. Differences between load switch and circuit breaker
In life, we often use switches. There are two types of switches: load switch and circuit breaker. Both of them can connect and cut off the circuit power supply, but the circuit breaker has the function of overcurrent and overload protection. Load switch refers to the control appliance with simple arc extinguishing device and load opening and closing circuit. It can turn on and off a certain load current and overload current, but can not turn off the short-circuit current. It must be used in series with the high-voltage fuse to cut off the short-circuit current with the help of the fuse. It is specially used to deal with current (fault current and rated current). The essential difference between load switch and circuit breaker is that their breaking capacity is different.  (2) Before operation, several no-load opening and closing operations should be carried out. There is no blocking of each rotating part, the closing is in place, and there is sufficient safety distance after opening.
 (3) The fuse melt used in series with the load switch should be selected appropriately, that is, when the fault current is greater than the breaking capacity of the load switch, the melt should be guaranteed to fuse first, and then the load switch can be opened.
 (4) When the switch is closed, the contact is good, and the connection part is not overheated. During the inspection, pay attention to check the porcelain bottle for dirt, cracks, porcelain falling, flicker and discharge; the switch cannot be flushed with water (indoor type).
  2. Circuit breaker
Pay special attention to the fact that the contact reliability of the large-capacity circuit breaker will directly affect the normal use of the circuit breaker. Therefore, attention must be paid to the installation and the installation must be carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer.
Can loadbreak switches replace circuit breakers?
It is not possible, because load switches and circuit breakers have different characteristics, and load switches do not have the function of cutting off short-circuit current.
