"Late-day choice: this sliver of rayon knit, bloused softly with a back-tie drawstring. It's a dress that tucks effortlessly in a suitcase, unpacks without wrinkles, looks momentous anywhere in the world."
From the 1964 Spring Summer Sears catalog, right in the Ms. Mod period.

Seattle’s Museum of History and Innovation is one of the Emerald City’s gems. Located in the Naval Reserve Armory in Lake Union Park, the museum maintains a collection of more than 4,000,000 artifacts, photographs, and archival materials. A few highlights from the collection: Boeing's first commercial plane, the 1919 Boeing B-1; the Petticoat Flag, a U.S. flag sewn by women during the 1856 Battle of Seattle; and the Rainier Brewing Company's 12-foot tall neon "R" sign. Of particular interest to Miss Fisher fans might be their extensive clothing and dress collection, including some amazing pieces from the 1920s. Definitely take some time to visit while you’re in town for Miss Fisher Con 2025 next July! https://mohai.org/

The Seattle area boasts a vibrant and exciting wine scene! With more than 20 urban wineries and tasting rooms in the city itself, and more than 100 just a half-hour away in Woodinville’s wine country, you’re sure to find something to tempt you. Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries enjoyers, I have a question: how do you find Miss Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries?
I've never seen it and I wonder if it's worth a watch. But I have few issues to start with, so should I really consider it a - let's say - a sequel, or just as a totally different series where the characters' names are just a coincidence?
Because what doesn't really sit with me is the fact that the modern Miss Fisher is supposed to be Phryne's niece. And well, how's that possible? Phryne's sister's dead, I believe they didn't have any other siblings, or at least they were never mentioned, but that would be such a lame thing to do, to just add another sibling to her and Janey. Phryne's cousin from Aunt P. has a different last name, so the new girl wouldn't be Fisher. From what I recall, Phryne's father never mentioned any siblings of his, Eugene - his cousin (?) - is sentenced (to death, I guess?) and he never mentioned any of his supposed children to try to regain the title from Henry. And of course, Henry could've had 17 younger siblings, but even if he had, would they really inherit anything from Phryne? I mean, wouldn't she want Jane to be her inheritor (inheritee? is there a feminine gender for this one? Well, maybe I just should've said heir)? And if not Jane then at least one of Dot and Hugh's children?
And another important thing: does that mean they all died in the WWII? That's why we get this modern miss Fisher? Because everybody who could've inherit from Phryne and she wanted them to are dead? (I don't really know how inheritance law worked in late 1920s, let alone in Australia, but I assume she could've passed her property to whatever she wanted to). Rather disturbing.
Anyways, just wanted to know if it's worth a watch in general. I can forget the shows are somehow connected if it's a good one on its own. I'm about to finish my MFMM yearly rewatch and I wouldn't mind trying something new.
