All aboard the train to The Sleepy Circus! Once a peaceful oasis for restless sleepers, now a place of wonder and fun! Wake up feeling excited and energized, ready to bask in the Sun once the morning arrives.

Ponies did generally like the circus after its revival, but it was all too loud and overstimulating for Snowdrop. It became a painful reminder of the friend she’d lost. Instead of being whisked away by Wish, ponies would board the sleepytime train all the way to the Circus.

Cotton, PimPim and Plum were given new acts, new costumes, all without any explanation for what had happened to their princess. Similarly, Daybreak didn’t have the heart to tell Snowdrop what exactly had happened to Wish. Day didn’t do these things out of malice, of course, it’s just another unfortunate choice in her down-spiral of guilt and grief.

I wanted to do a proper intro to the Circus! Cotton hop was designed by @//ssage.exe and PimPim was originally designed by @//sealumii on insta!!

Mlp phase came back long enough to figure out the new elements of harmony for my next gen au. This was just kinda redrawing the old designs I had but I mildly redesigned Ribston and kinda wanna go back and fully redesign the others too.

Some minor lore and fun facts about then under the cut is anyone’s interested

Onyx was actually raised by Sunburst bc ya know, Sombra’s kinda dead and his mom Orchid Haze dropped him off at Sunburst door step with just a brief note explaining who Onyx is. Onyx knows who his parents are but considers Sunburst his dad bc he raised him.

Ribston is the black sheep of his family, partly bc he’s a unicorn and also bc he’d rather joke around then work on the farm. The closest he’ll ever get to actually doing manual labor is being a rodeo clown.

Angel Cake is just a sweet heart. Idk dude, out of the others she’s got the least trauma I think aside from feeling a little estranged from her siblings bc by the time she was born they were already out of the house.

Sunspot my sweet, sweet boy. You can probably tell bc he absolutely didn’t believe he was the element of bravery bc his twin sister Moonbeam is the epitome of recklessness and ambition while Sunspot is very much not. (It doesn’t help that his entire family also doubts the tree of harmony’s choice)

June Bug is a himbo. Plain and simple. He was formed by the power of love and has the biggest heart. He does have changling powers so the form I drew him in is not his true form, just a disguise bc his true form can be a little scary for some. I mean he’s a dragon/bug hybrid so…

Lily Lotus!! My spiteful king. Not much to say about him rn (bc I just revamped his whole character ) other than I’m projecting my love for tattoos onto him lol. He’s also a little bit of an asshole but it’s okay, I love him anyways lol

I don’t have much in the form of worldbuilding for these guys yet, just a cool idea. I imagine that either live in a Savannah-like environment or (something cooler) a secret cave within the mountains (ala the mountain trolls from Hilda) where they can eat gems to their hearts delight, safe from the conquest of the Moon Cows.

When I started drawing their heads, I realized that they weren’t far off from how I drew dragons, so maybe there’s something cool I could do with that.
