Bori lured a monster away from our home island to ensure that everyone is safe, even despite being terrified of the sinking curse that he had just received from a former ally. But it was in those final moments that he remembered the other reason that this scenario terrified him so much; this wasn't his first time in this situation.

(also when the monster killed me, my screen went black, and I had to relog to be able to bring my boat back)
