Sorry for having the Disorder that makes me abnormal
I'm doing my best and taking the Medication that makes me normal, but capitalism makes the Medication extremely expensive, and I still have the Disorder too
My bad for being born wrong in the eyes of society, it will happen again 👍

i dont really think the way that people talk about likes vs rbs for art on here is very productive ever so im going to make a badly worded and badly organized post so i can muddy the waters even more.
the way that most people use the like button, the VAST majority, is hitting like on every post they rb + posts they want the op to know they saw. this suggests, and tell me if im wrong, that theres zero reason for people who use the like button like this to ever go back and look at art they press like on. which is why artists, especially young artists and/or artists without large followings, get frustrated when people like their art without also rbing it. like despite the like button being functionally a private save button, few people actually use it that way. so saying "why are you so mad, i liked your art because i like it" isn't really like. i mean it doesnt feel like it because thats the same reaction you used for me saying what im gonna have for lunch today (general me, i dont necessarily take likes vs rbs this seriously).
also, OBVIOUSLY, theres the frustration that they want their art to be shared with a wider audience, which likes objectively are useless for.
obviously people take it overboard and if youre at a point where youre getting genuinely mad at people over liking without rbing then i think u need to step back bc you are too concerned with internet clout. like its gonna be ok. you dont need engagement to make art and i know its fun to show it to people but you absolutley cannot let ur worth as an artist be tied to numbers on this stupid site. ok?
