That's the galaxy. It's dark, with a few pinpricks of light.

Friendly reminder that most clones didn’t know about the inhibitor chips. It makes Cody’s ”we make our own decisions, our own choices, and we have to live with them too” hit a bit harder.

Sometimes I find myself thinking about how Obi-Wan was suddenly attacked by the soldiers he trusted, returned home only to discover that everyone he knew had been horribly killed, and soon after, it was revealed that the perpetrator of that massacre was his former apprentice/younger brother. That guy had a really bad day, and then the rest of his life after that traumatic experience was spent living in a ball of sand, ensuring the safety of his former apprentice's son. Worst of all, he never even discovered Anakin's reason for doing what he did.
Their friendship was so tragic. From the beginning, they have been out of tune with each other(Anakin seeing Obi-Wan as a father figure, while Obi-Wan saw him as a brother). I'm happy to know they probably had time to reconcile as Force ghosts.
On the other hand, it's a pity that Obi-Wan probably never got to see the Jedi who were killed again, and they were his family.

After order 66, the surviving Jedi gained the habit of watching the Most Wanted list (expect those that can’t access the holonet). (No one has ever beat Obi-Wan as number 1, but a few came close).
Now imagine one day when Kanan is checking it, seeing if anymore names have disappeared or even the very few times that new names were added, he sees a name and face pop up, one that he knows. Just imagine the relief of knowing that a fellow padawan, an age mate was alive, and then the immediate confusion on what the hell did Cal do that got him that high on the most wanted list.

do you think the birth families of the jedi mourned when they heard the news about order 66. do you think they worried and that they weeped when the clone wars began and they heard that their children were going off to fight in it. do you think they looked at their calendars and kept track of how old their children had become every birthday. do you think they knew that their child was only 10 when they were murdered during order 66. do you think any jedi went out to find their birth parents after losing the only family they really knew. do you think any families sheltered other escaping jedi, knowing what likely happened to their own. do you think the families cried. do you think they mourned. do you think, even though they hadn't seen their children in years... they still weeped?

Rewatching and finally finishing The Clone Wars for her. It destroyed me, then I watched The Bad Batch and I just want to scream (I already have some sketches of them as cats being happy and cute because I can't cope)

A detail about Order 66 that always makes me so profoundly sad to think about that I think gets over looked are the parents. The parents who gave their kids to the Jedi, many of whom were probably proud to know that their kids were out there helping people. In the rise of the new empire how many parents were mourning the massacre of their children? On top of that they probably could've even voice that grief to others without possible danger from the new regime.
