I need the ck fandom to understand that Sam never dismissed Tory’s struggles. They twist everything this girl says into hypocrisy. I’m guessing that’s why it was so important for Sam to see Tory’s home life so that it could further try to justify and excuse the things Tory has done.

the "everyone has a sob story" line is after the attempted murder!! the making fun of tory's princess job thing is after the attempted murder and home invasion!!! sam is a saint for letting tory back in school and not flipping out at her mother for secretly helping the girl that tried to kill her!

I love when Johnny doesn’t want to cooperate and neither does Daniel BUT somehow they always end up together and I LOVE the counseling part AND how much they need each other to be happy/energized but don't want to need each other. I also love how Lucille forces Daniel to try and be nice to Johnny. Omgg I LOVE THE WHOLE TROPEE😭😭😭😭

Anyway! Here's a little snippet of the chapter that probably makes no sense out of context, but I giggled while writing it, so hopefully it keeps you going for now!

"And as for you two—” his glare can burn holes through brick. “LaRusso. Lawrence. Another week of detention. Congratulations, that makes two! I hope your schedules are crystal clear.” Daniel chokes. “You’re punishing us too?” “You were arguing, bickering, and escalating an already unstable situation!" He cries, slamming a hand on the desk so hard a stapler jumps five beats into the air. “I don’t care if you didn’t start the fire, Daniel, if you throw gas on it, you’re part of the explosion! I highly doubt a cop would excuse an arsonist just because they didn't mean to do it. ” “Good thing I'm not an—!” Daniel starts, but Johnny immediately cuts in with a scoff. “Fuckin' hell, relax, princess. Nobody died.” Daniel turns on him, eyebrows knotted together as his mouth curls down in a sneer. “Oh, now you decide to speak! You know you’re the reason this keeps happening, right?” Daniel snaps. He raises his hands in mock surrender, still smug in his newfound consciousness. "Didn't make you choose truth." And holy shit, Daniel wants to lunge at the guy. He wants to spring off from the ground and collide with Johnny, hands wrung around his pigeon neck and foreheads colliding together in a deranged macabre performance. Fuck him, fuck detention, fuck soulmates and fuck Johnny fucking Lawrence! "That wasn't even the cause of—" "Oh, blah blah, do you love your voice that much—" "You're such a hypocrite! Y' just have to mouth off every chance you get—” "Yeah because I admit my voice is great—" "Who lied to you—!" Casey cackles from her spot beside them. “He’s not wrong. You do run your mouth like it’s a full-time job, Lawrence," she starts before tacking on a curt, "and your voice isn't all that.” “Shut up, Casey,” Johnny and Daniel say in near-unison, which only makes her laugh harder. Daniel barely has time to blink before the principal slams a ruler against the edge of his desk, the sharp crack hitting once, twice, thrice before successfully cutting through the chaos like a gunshot. "Silence!" He throws the ruler onto the desk, hand rubbing down his face. “What did I just say? And yet you question your punishment!” The room, for the most part, jolts into stillness aside from Abigail’s seething and Johnny’s smug, cool kid persona leaning back against the wall, arms behind his head like they’re at some fucking beach cabana and not about to be executed in the school office. The principal’s eyes narrow, deep lines cutting across his forehead as he glares at them all like they’re a pack of feral dogs that just pissed all over his new Persian rug. “I have had it with this soap opera. We are done here.” His gaze lands hard on Daniel and Johnny, eyes sharp as glass. “Congratulations, you two have upgraded to a strong two weeks of detention. Effective immediately. Truly, and I mean truly, well done.”

Here me out on this young Johnny Lawerence fans.

While Johnny could be an asshole to people I have this knawing feeling that Ali Mills may have been abusing him at times. And I don’t mean sexually I mean verbally abusive and possibly emotionally abusive. And I say this because Johnny seemed to really love her yet she didn’t seem to care about him at all. If she really cared she would have at least let him speak, and maybe he would not have felt the need to be so aggressive and break her radio. I feel he was actually acting in response to her being passive aggressive and refusing to acknowledge that she was a bitch. She also blamed him for what happened at the beach when he was clearly just wanting a peaceful talk, she escalated it she pushed him and he reacted. But the biggest proof I feel we have is when she hits him on his chest and he just lets her, not just because she’s a woman but because he was accustomed to her abusing him. Ali literally broke up with him for accidentally missing her birthday which is super petty, he wanted to be a good boyfriend and explain why he missed it on the beach but she was an absolute bitch and refused to listen. If you look closely you can see he was crying a little when approaching Daniel to fight him.

We have proof that he still loved her because he kept the black headband from his teenage years in Cobra Kai and tells his son Robby about her. I only know that because I stumbled across it one day while watching YouTube.

sometimes you just need a college update

and woo boy do i have one for you!

Literature: class last tuesday got canceled again. turns out “being sick” meant something nerve related bc. he mentioned a neurologist! (also explains why he bounced back so quickly). anyways his idea of great media was watching the british crime show Luther. yes THAT Luther. (hes right btw but also why.) just the first ep but. man. also we have to write a paper on it lmao

Calculus: my teacher is definitely terrified of me in a good way. he learned i already took AP calc BC so! (sorry im very happy with this guy) also we FINALLY LEARNED DERIVATIVES!!! im so excited derivates are so easy to use (however i was banned from Cheating [power rule])

History: OH MAN. so today we were vibing in class, class ends at 11:15am. 15 minutes out from class, there is a SUBWOOFER outside, BLASTING the bass. you can hear it from inside. prof had to stop and go “?????”. TURNS OUT! IT WAS A DJ! FOR A CAMPUS SECURITY EVENT (i am Not Kidding). anyways that was hilarious.

Okay but can you please elaborate on Miguel as a teacher? Like what is his teaching style like? Did/does teaching others come naturally to him?

oh, you BET i can! this is definitely gonna be more of a ramble than i'd planned because i'm excited. <33

i think even before the events of the show, miguel seems like the kind of kid that would help his friends with schoolwork if he understood it. he's very good with a handful of subjects, but i don't think he would have opened it up to people he wasn't close with. he's been very vocal through the seasons about getting picked on and bullied at every school he'd been to pre-s1, and showing off his smarts to everyone was a one-way ticket to another target on his back.

but that mindset definitely changes once he gains more confidence in his abilities. one of my favorite things to note about miguel's growth through the seasons is how he turns from a student to practically an assistant sensei as cobra kai picks up off the ground and gains more traction. from the very beginning of the show, he's trying to recruit eli and demetri because he wants his friends to be able to feel the strength that he's found with johnny's help. on his "not-date" with sam, miguel offers to teach her a couple basic moves because he's proud of what he learned. he, eli, and aisha are seen leading warm ups multiple times.

i bring it up all the time, but my favorite clip when talking abt miguel as a teacher is in the sparring fight on tory's first day at ck. he starts giving her tips and pointers about her stance or the way she's telegraphing her next moves AS he's fighting her. he takes a step back and speaks without a second of hesitation, like he's focusing more on helping her out than trying to beat her. from that line delivery alone, you can tell this probably happens with almost every other ck student he spars with.

he's also the one seen talking to and welcoming the new students that show up after ck's win at the avt, as well as adult visitors that show up (kreese before he gets introduced). that same energy translates into eagle fang even while he's going through his recovery arc. even though he's still building up strength, johnny has him sit out from the physicality of training whilst still utilizing miguel's teaching skills to get the rest of the dojo up to speed for the second all-valley. there aren't a lot of scenes with him helping eagle fang students the way he did with cobra kai, but i like to think that a lot of that happens off screen!! (they can pry the devon's first mentor hc's out of my cold dead hands)
