Another week of them being suspicious in scheduling when their projects/works are released. Our best example so far is the timing of Bobo’s 3 films released vs GG’s 3 dramas so far. Look, we know that these things are planned out, especially for films and dramas — there are people who decide on that and ZZ & WYB’s don’t give the last word. Once they are done filming and all, it’s basically in the hands of other executives.

9/19 in the evening, around 7:00 PM fans noticed that Wind & Waves weibo account has updated and it went on hot search. Then XZS posts a bit later, a goodbye post to Shengyang + SBMS. So it’s like, Goodbye to SBMS era and it’s time for something new from WYB.

The next day, 9/20 : XZ had a livestream show for Loreal Pro in the evening. Nothing much on WYB’s side, only that Wind and Waves weibo shared IQIYI’s post, generating more excitement for it.

9/21, Redmi Note 13 press conference. WYB did not attend that in person but it’s still interesting that this is sandwiched between XZ’s “live events”. 9/20 = loreal and 9/22 = dove.

Anyway, the big thing for 9/21 ( and the reason that pushed me to make a post ) is the IQIYI conference. We already knew beforehand what time Wind & Waves material will be out. 10:30 and 10:35. They did post it on time and who posted after??? XZ. for Gucci. He had to, because Gucci will have a show in the evening.

For those who don’t follow posting times a lot, and in particular, XZ this may not make sense. But to those who do you may be one who 👀 on this. ZZ usually posts on his Weibo, when related to brands, during his birthday kadian 10:05 or 10:10. Sometimes 10:30. But he shared it by 10:45, making sure (allegedly) that he doesn’t coincide with the posts from WYB’s drama.

And well, 9/22 GG will have the Dove Chocolate appearance and I think Liuliumei on 9/24. If something comes up about WYB on 9/23 I will 🔪🔪.

This kind of pattern sometimes break for other things, especially with brands, since they endorse alot. Those cannot always be in sync but when it matters— we notice the timing.

When I think about it, I sometimes feel like we’re speculating too much but there’s been so many times it happened. not just this year or week. Maybe there is something going on behind the scenes in the industry where they don’t let certain people “compete”. Who knows. Since i’m a cpf, I will take this as candy. LOL. For a while I had a Canon Powershot G10, it's dead now, but a bunch of my pictures where taken with it (I still miss that camera)

Last but no least, my phone, a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. For the more "serious" photos I take with it, I use the Lightroom app to be able to shoot raw, than I just edit the DNG files on my computer like any of the other photos.

Celular do ladrão

Uns dias atrás eu estava conversando com o meu namorado sobre nossa viagem futura pra São Paulo. Ele vai assistir o show do Oasis no próximo novembro, e decidimos dar uma olhada nas passagens aéreas, transporte, airbnb... Enfim, tudo que fosse necessário para criar um orçamento.

Nós acabamos fazendo uma piada sobre assaltos em SP. Todo mundo sabe que não é raro você sair na rua naquela cidade maldita e voltar sem celular, sem acessórios e com um sapato faltando. Foi aí que me lembrei que quando estão em grandes centros como SP, RJ e outras capitais, a maioria das pessoas costuma levar um "celular do ladrão", que consiste em ser um celular seu, velho, fodido e que só faz o básico (ou seja, whatsapp, uber e talvez um instagram) pra que caso você seja assaltado, a perda não seja grande coisa.

Nós olhamos um pouco em todos os "celulares de ladrão" que meu namorado tinha: um xiaomi redmi note 7, dois huawei não identificáveis e um samsung galaxy fame que estavam jogados no fundo da gaveta mais obscura da sua mesinha de cabeceira, mas que, por algum milagre do universo, ainda funcionavam. Quer dizer, talvez "funcionar" fosse uma palavra muito forte, que na verdade significava "pelo menos esse dispositivo não explode se você plugar na tomada". Olhar as opções que meu namorado tinha pra evitar um assalto me fez procurar o meu celular do ladrão quando cheguei em casa. E eu achei: um xiaomi redmi 6a que uma vez foi meu, passou pra minha vó e voltou pra mim.

Eu baixei alguns apps úteis, mas essa tecnologia anciã já se tornou obsoleta há alguns anos, então tudo que eu pude fazer foi instalar spotify e instagram lite sem detonar toda a memória RAM dele. Até criei uma playlist com um monte de músicas que eu gosto só pra ouvir nele, já que ele trava tanto que não é possível ficar trocando de playlist toda hora.

No final, meu "celular do ladrão" se tornou mais do que uma simples ferramenta pra engambelar um rato de celular. Eu realmente gostei de voltar a usar ele, apesar dos pesares. Ouvir musica com fones de fio não era tão ruim assim. Às vezes eu gostava de apagar as luzes, abrir minha janela, deitar na cama e ficar ouvindo as músicas da playlist que eu havia feito (e talvez fumando).

Foi como se eu tivesse voltado no tempo.

De repente eu me sentia com 17 anos, deitada na mesma cama, ouvindo as mesmas músicas: Foster the People, Declan McKenna, The neighbourhood, Glass Animals, Foals... Era como se aquela fosse uma noite após um cansativo dia de escola integral, 9h de merda nenhuma e muita aula de matemática. Eu tinha acabado de perder a virgindade, minha melhor amiga ainda estava viva e meu grupo social era maior do que nunca. Na sexta, eu iria pra alguma festa ou barzinho encher a cara (escondido da minha mãe, claro) e implorar pela atenção do mesmo garoto, 3 anos mais velho - que hoje em dia eu abominaria, credo, imagina ficar com uma garota de 17 tendo 20? - enquanto fumava os marlboros red que eu tinha roubado do meu padrasto.

Não existe um dia sequer que eu não deseje voltar pra essa época da minha vida. Tem tanta coisa que eu gostaria de fazer diferente, e isso inclui dar um soco na cara da eu do passado. Eu criaria o hábito de me exercitar, focaria mais na minha criatividade e cortaria relações com todos os meus amigos tóxicos, dando importância pro que realmente é relevante: a minha melhor amiga.

Eu sinto falta dela mais do que tudo, e já me acostumei que esse é um sentimento que nunca vai me deixar. Não se pode esperar o contrário quando você perde alguém tão importante assim. São dias e mais dias em que você dá o seu melhor pra seguir em frente e torce pra que as pessoas não percebam que, lá no fundo, existe uma culpa que pesa uma tonelada. É o elefante rosa na sala do seu cérebro, e ele nunca vai embora.

Mesmo querendo muito voltar no tempo, orando e implorando pra todos os deuses e orixás existentes, eu sei que eu nunca vou voltar a ter 17 anos de novo. E tá tudo bem, eu acho? Agora que tenho 24, eu gasto minhas energias pensando nos meus alunos e em como eu posso impactar positivamente a vida deles pra que quando olhem pra trás, não tenham os mesmos arrependimentos que eu tive.

E acho que isso é suficiente por enquanto.
