A lot of people who talk about 18th century queerness treat these concepts as existing on a linear scale of "straight" to "gay", or as a progression of increasing queerness.

But that kind of framing isn't accurate. There's no line that we can draw here beyond which things become definitively queer. There were homosexual acts that had very little queerness to them, and homoromantic relationships that were fundamentally queer without ever (to our knowledge) straying beyond the emotional.

I'm trying to form a coherent map of Ost-in-Edhil in my head for ~reasons~ , not helped by the fact that the design of the city changes quite substantially between season 1 (bridges across the Glanduin, no city wall) and season 2 (no bridges across the Glanduin, city wall) and now I'm stuck with the mental image of Celebrimbor learning that orcs were gathering in large numbers again, getting flashbacks to Nargothrond, and instantly going: NO BRIDGES. GET RID OF THE BRIDGES.

(which of course doesn't make sense because destroying bridges into your city is going to cause economic problems at the very least and the Mirdain-i-Gwaith should be more than capable of setting up a combination of chemicals that means they can explode the bridges IF an invading attempts to cross it, and take chunks of said army out at the same time)

Also bordered on a river on two sides and built up into the mountains on the third, and no bridges, doesn't leave a city gate from which Saur-brand can look up into the Great Forge with Sad Puppy Eyes(TM). I am therefore completely stumped by how this is meant to work and I would like to know who I need to bribe to get a detailed City Plan. @ Lord Celebrimbor I will give you all the shiny things if you just give me detailed scematics....

Tada!!! I updated Rose's design a bit!!! (She's one of my Sonamy fankids for those unaware.) The art in her old pic was like over a year old, so I figured since Elise got a small redesign recently, I might as well do Rose too! (I'll slowly do the rest of the Hedgehog Family and the Robotnik Family too, I promise.) I mostly only changed Rose's quills since I felt they most desperately needed an update. I kept her suit and boots the same since I love them so much. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I want to design Rose a casual outfit at some point. We'll see if I actually get around to that.

For those unfamiliar with Rose, I'll go over her personality and such under the cut!

Rose Hedgehog is the middle child in Sonic and Amy's family. Her older siblings are the twins Joy and Lux, and her younger siblings are Elise and Chip.

Rose is 12 years old. She's very spunky, ambitious, and tends to get into trouble quite a bit by accident. Her dream goal is to become a hero by the time she turns 15. So she's only got 3 years to go! Better hurry up!

Rose can summon a weapon much like Amy can summon her Piko Piko Hammer. Rose's weapon is a staff! She can increase it's length, but not excessively. It maxes out at like a few feet.

Rose has a bit of a passion for design! She designed her suit and boots all by herself and then took the designs to Uncle Tails, who made them a reality for her. She has quite a few notebooks filled with sketches of clothes. Some people have suggested she become a designer when she grows up, but Rose has dismissed those ideas every time. This is just a hobby! She wants to become a hero like her parents!
