[Masterpost] Tsukino Picatrix Pamphlet Translations

Hello, hello~! It has been a really long time since Picatrix released, and translating the pamphlet took a lot more time than usual ^^;

Tsukino Picatrix was their prompt/theme last year, and it's a world of magic, wizards, fantasy, and mysteries~

It's an interesting and magical take with strong astrological themes and influences, if I'm being honest, but the lore and world-building is solid as always!

It still leaves a lot open to interpretation for the sake of letting the fans be creative about it. You gotta love how much TsukiPro spoils us with these AUs~

With Fujiwara leaving the creative board, I'm afraid that things in the fandom have been slow, and it's been difficult to stay locked in to it, but TsukiPika slowly brought me back down that deep, deep swamp.

I do hope we get to see Tsukino Picatrix adapted on stage one of these days! I'd love to see SQS's take on it, that's for sure~

A lot of the technical information stuff in the pamphlet were taken from Wikipedia (like the planetary information). The blank map I used for a portion of the translations was taken from Wikipedia.

some of you wanted to know why i like mingyun or if they had some kind of lore together... they just remind me of my number 1 comfort ship nozoren, so here's some art i did of them

i did these during Dai no Daibouken's remake (a delight) run during 2020-2022-ish (?). Dai is one of my favourite things ever, but i just didn't want to make just any fanart. also these kept me busy during the pandemic. i seriously made so many mistakes with these, stuff that i didn't saw while i was making them, but the desire of reworking them has left me. vector work is slow and tedious, but it's my fave media of it all. i also never finished this project, as i'm missing Vearn/Mystvearn.

Tsukiuta and Tsukipro

Do anyone know Tsukiuta and/or Tsukipro? I watched both these series when I was in middle school, but back then I didn't like Tsukipro that much and I don't know why. I am rewatching Tsukipro and I am actually enjoying it.

The seiyuu cast in both of these series is a 10/10 and if you are into Dear Vocalist, if you don't count Joshua all the the CR vocalist are in this series plus 5 more for the band members

Manga Recommendation: Soara and the House of Monsters

So with the popularity of fantasy series that are actually pretty hard fantasy and not just isekai fantasy in manga and anime recently. Particularly, series like Dungeon Meshi, Frieren, and Witch Hat Atelier, I wanted to personally spotlight a lesser known series in that same high fantasy genre that gave me a similar vibe. Soara and the House of Monsters

So the premise: Soara is an orphan who was raised to do battle in a war between man and monsters, but never got the opportunity to before peace was declared. Without a purpose in life, she meets a dwarf, Kirik, who builds homes for monsters. Displaying the gorgeous/imaginative art of the series.

Each "arc," if you want to call it that, often involves Soara and Kirik's party coming across a stereotypical fantasy race and their often run down or depressing lair where they can live. Kirik resolving to then build that creature their dream home. This is because monster have been motivated to steal from humans because what they desire is a home. Comfortable accommodations instead of the squalor they're trapped in. Through building these homes, Kirik makes a place where they can be happy and avoid trying to take from humans.

Now if that sounds a little like discussing how people are inclined to do bad things when society may not allow them to have a comfortable place in life, that's because it is. Despite its comedic tone, a key component of the series is Soara herself coming the grips with the prejudice that was instilled into her as someone raised to fight against monsters. But also her own hang ups of not having a home to call her own.

While I won't say it pushes the envelop of fantasy manga like the artistic tour de force of Witch Hat Atelier or the melancholic beauty of Frieren, it's still a creative fantasy series with likable characters with some great art. Following a compelling protagonist as she both has her comedic moments, badass moments, and moments of decoupling the prejudices that were instilled into her. Soara and the House of Monsters is a great little series.

First volume has already been translated officially, so you can pick it up from any book store or site.

I've reached the conclusion that I love SOARA songs.

Tsukino Productions Product Tracker

Yeah so i'm nuts and made myself a chronological release tracker for Tsukipro products cause I needed a way to keep track of everything i own/plan to get. A small preview inside:

I plan on keeping this updated month to month as a way to get myself back into the habit of being hardcore into the Tsukipro life. With the additional effect of making me happy if anyone found this useful in any way shape or form. All the titles are copied straight from the main sites so also easy to copy paste those into album info or anything needed.

This includes album releases, Blu ray/DVD releases, anything really that's a form of media to buy and consume.

The only shame is that the images had to be embedded in so no way to link to high-res cover art for anything. I didn't wanna add too many links to this page to make it hard to load either so it's really the most bare min I could get it.

[Masterpost] SOARA Drama CD - “Gift”

Hello~! It’s been a really long time since I last posted on Tumblr, but I’m probably going to be more active here again (especially since Twitter is in shambles right now orz)~ Life has been a kick in the butt, but I have been working on a few projects that I’ve been wanting to work on, so hopefully my Tumblr blog will look alive (pun intended www) again! 

Let me kick the blog back up with a literal “Gift” translation~! Thank you to @melynir​ for requesting me for this drama! It is based on the plot of IveSta 6, but watching the stage isn’t really necessary to appreciate what the drama CD wants to convey ^^ IveSta 6 is divided into Growth and SOARA versions, but the drama applies to SOARA only, just in case you’re wondering where Growth and ZIX are.  

VAZZROCK translations are on queue, so please look forward to them as well~
