i'm gonna make my painful contribution to The Discourse and say i do not see the harm in women reclaiming female centric spirituality.
i am not a religious person nor do i want to become one but spirituality is also about culture, community and celebration. i would much rather women celebrate nature, the female form, and "divine femininity" than patriarchal phallocentric religions. that "divine femininity" is used pejoratively has always tickled me considering we live in a world hooked on divine masculinity. the old matricentric religions are really the only form of female culture devoid of male-centric worship we can grasp at, since men have dominated our belief systems for thousands of years. and women learning about the old religions is the best way to unravel the myth of the male creator, and realise it is really women who are the closest thing to a "god" on Earth.
there's also an element here, which i think is deeply capitalist, patriarchal, and a little racist, of people considering the connection to & celebration of nature as somehow primitive. i think that the lifestyles most of us live now, with none of us knowing anything about the land around us is actually very infantile and regressive for humanity as a whole. the ways of life we consider "primitive" (primitive communism, matrilineal societies) are really what we need to find ways to return to post-capitalism. they were in tune to nature, sustainable, and much more communal & equal. how can nature be primitive or ascientific when science *is* in nature, and the practices of these old societies were early scientific discoveries & practices. as a Black person, my community is often trying to reclaim our lost practices. it makes sense to me that women would try to do so too.

So I did a thing last night. Or rather, I participated in doing a thing. And led part of it. Not quite ready to parse the whole event yet, I'm still kind of processing some very large feelings, but they're all good ones.
The short version is that I got tagged in by a group of witches for an online ritual to help protect, heal, and give hope to our communities during all of the.... -waves to state of the everything- ....this. And they liked the structure and visualization I suggested for the spell so much that I wound up leading that part of the ritual. (Might share what I wrote for it later, haven't decided.)
Remember when I made that post a few days back about, "Huh. So that's what I've been preparing for. Right then." This was that. And the realization was reinforced by what I experienced during the ritual.
So here I am, a largely secular witch, who just performed her first public invocation as a lead speaker and had one helluva mountaintop moment in the process. And I'm not quite sure what to do with that yet.
But I think it's time to clean my altar.

Just finished these. They’re small enough to read but also very much so not easy to figure out, let alone complete.
They’re just small Alkirian runes or Alkonirian Sand Runes, used in magic seasonally for things like Savkots and other holidays amongst them, The Day of Red Or as it stands in most of the rest of the places where the veil be thin, it’s known as Dragon’s Blood Day or Day of Dragons or Seven Dragons Day or Depending on the season it’s known as Fellkorian or Day of the Dragon’s Death. Most of the time it’s just either a stone or a giving of a new dragon, or a passage of dragon from one of those before and to the next one the same dragon gets passed down into another part of the general generations of the Clans, or the next leaders. Most of the other time, it is also a finding of a dragon or dragon initiation day. Therefore not much activity on the forefronts of some locations. It also includes a passage of teeth amongst many other things, which is at most 1-5 teeth per members of clan. Also I got bored a bit, so had to start doing some little detailed piece on the stones and all I could come up with was the Dragon Runes/Sand Runes themselves. That being said, not much else to go off of. Except for that I had to include the background on one of them. Beyond that, not much else to go within reasonable size of the pieces.
